Café El Tesoro

All fish dishes were excellently cooked and seasoned - bright, thoughtful flavours. Bread basket to start was really excellent. Coffee very good, space is calm and pretty, most of the staff lovely. Great place to come with kids (space to move around, comfortable seating, kids menu). Loved it!

One of the most “complete” places in the area. Amazing food, good music, cool decor and lovely patio.

The worst experience. As a solo female non Spanish speaking traveller I was treated with the utmost disrespect and complete lack of customer service despite there only being me and one other table of four and at least six waiting staff. It was like a youth club with the staff focused more on having fun between themselves than being remotely bothered about paying guests. My table had not been cleaned. The cutlery had clearly been out all day for anyone to touch and no masks were worn. They told me after my starter that they didn’t have the fish that I’d ordered and decided to change it to another then shouted at me to leave when I asked for the bill

It is always a pleasure to come back to this lovely decor store and cafe. Home of one of the top architects in Uruguay and also of a wonderful restaurant. The menu is short but creative. The ingredients are from the area. Do not miss this place.
