Three Dallas Restaurant Closures Diners Need to Know - Eater Dallas
"Cafe Express has closed its doors after more than 20 years of serving fresh fare. The restaurant shuttered without notice, joining at least three other outposts in Dallas and Houston that have also closed this year. The only DFW location still open is on Lovers Lane, with no current plans to close." - Amy McCarthy

Had a great time here. The food is awesome and we saw one of the local news casters here! We got pictures with the general managers and those $1 mimosas were on point. I will definitely be back for brunch again. Loved it!

Loved this place! It's a great spot for lunch and they've just started a new Brunch menu that's to die for! We tried the Chicken and Waffles with roasted tomatoes, artichokes, and black pepper syrup! Wow! And it's reasonably priced as well. Definitely coming back.

Great food. Loved the Guac appetizer and the Carrot Cake!!! We were also given a sample of their Chicken & Waffles brunch item. It was delicious! They also have a nice collection of iced teas with oranges, limes, lemons, and mint leaves to put in the tea.

Best Cafe Express I’ve been to in Dallas! Everything is great but what I like the most is the decor. It’s such a chill place to come in and have a friends gathering or lunch meetings. Definitely A+ on looks and ambience. Their lunch special grilled chicken is an incredible deal. You can get a full size grill chicken breast with two sides for around $10. Will come here more often for sure. NOTE: The parking is in a parking garage right behind the restaurant so don’t stress about finding a spot on the sidewalk (like I did hehe ;).

Staff was great but corporate keeps changing the menu and prices weekly. I can't order chicken and pasta with pesto without having a manager fix the order. The same meal price has been different every week and yes I go weekly.

This place is across the street from my office so I thought I would walk over and give it a try. The food is bland to say the least. I have the Turkey Cobb Salad and it just didn't do it for me. The dressing was basically pure olive oil. Next I tried the over priced rotisserie chicken. The sides were broccoli and fried Brussels sprouts; they were undercooked and tasted like dishwater. It was disgusting. The service seems friendly but that's about the only good thing about this place. I will try one more time but if its still not good, I will not be going back ever again.

Nice servers! Extremely cute honeycomb desgined place for a cafe! Nice atmosphere. Quick food service. Decent prices. Enjoyed our unique flavor sodas and my Deep Ellum blonde ale. Loved the salads/salad embellishment bar and mashed potato. Green beans though, did not taste good and had a weird tasting small bit of sauce on it, so don't get that. Soup tastes like Campbell's. Fries VERY good and fresh. Would come again! Just not ordering green beans nor the soup but will try other ones. Tuna sndwich was just aight
