Cute little spot serving a mix of American and Mexican food. They have tamales and tortas along with sandwiches. I grabbed a chicken tamale and an iced coffee and they both tasted great. Limited seating inside but it is quite cozy.

Great breakfast sandwhich, good coffee, good tamales. I'm looking forward to returning. Fun mexican novelties for sale, too. It's still a great place and value. Two coffees and two breakfast sandwiches were under $20, while other independent coffee shops in the area were more like $30 Service is always great with a clean environment.

I got a 16oz frappe for $7, they had free wifi, and they were just great There's no bike racks nearby, but there is a metal pole that you can use

Grabbed an iced coffee before my kids’ piano lesson, $5 after tip. Love these mom and pop places with their multi functionality and decor. Always a plus that they offer affogato.

A really great space, plenty of seating arrangements, friendly service, and good food selection. Street parking is available.

Lovely, colorful cafe! Hot chocolate and muffin were delicious and very affordable. There are neighborhood flyers and unique goods for sale. It feels like you’re part of the neighborhood while you’re there. Very welcoming staff. There was someone studying while I was there; great spot for getting work done or catching up with friends. Even got a cute note on my drink sleeve! Will definitely be recommending and returning.

These drinks (in pictures) are SO GOOD. I come here to work and it's my favorite cafe in the area. The prices are reasonable but the qualities of the drinks and food here are better than most cafes. It's always so quiet but full of positive energy. Their paninis are great as well though it can be inconsistent sometimes depending on who's cooking.

Yelp
Amazing coffee shop with great staff and variety of coffees, and lattes. They have a little store inside selling handmade jewelry, purses, earrings and more, very pretty! Will definitely go back!

Yelp
This is a community-minded, conversation-friendly place with delicious coffee, generous and fresh homemade food, and a kind staff. The local art makes it especially wonderful.

Yelp
Tried this place first time....had the veggie sandwich, fresh and delicious! Unfortunately didn't take photo of it...took a bite of it as soon as I got home! The menu has very good comfort food options + drinks. Staff was friendly and place was cleaned too. Place has a couple of long tables + a small round table for seating and remote working too. Bought tamales too, which will heat up in the oven later. I will return to try the Greek Panini, etc.!

Yelp
Adorable tiny café attached to community center. If you need moccasins or tortas this is the place!

Yelp
Such an awesome cafe; more than just a cafe really, and a very relaxing environment. My daughter and I had a bagel and a pumpkin chocolate chip muffin, and both tasted like so much more. Everyone working was so welcoming, felt like I was visiting family, then someone brought out a basket of toys for my daughter to play with! Looking around the place I noticed they offer workshops and classes of sorts, a library section with free books, and they had a small gift shop in the back with tons of hand made treasures. Definitely going back!

Yelp
Very cute, family owned business with a nice variety of sandwiches (including lox!), muffins, and tamales. You can bring your dog in to order. Coffee drinks including cold brew are offered, but can be overly sweet. All in all, this cafe is a nice addition to the area!

Yelp
Clean, Yummy, Kind, Friendly! This little cafe is AMAZING! From the staff, to the drinks, food, pastries and art this place has it ALL. Located in my neighborhood, this is my go to place. They have a beautiful Lotería mural painted on the side of the cafe with the cutest outdoor seating. My puppy Rottweiler and I like to stop by here on our morning walks!

Yelp
I am a huge Cafe Fenix fan, my husband and I have picked up paninis and tortas from there several times. Here a few reasons I love them: 1. Their food is great - I'm partial to their turkey panini, it's delicious 2. It supports a great cause - proceeds go to Centro San Bonifacio, a community center, and it's run by a women's co-op. 3. The prices are fair 4. The ladies working there are lovely 5. The place is super cute, with a colorful mural outside and some fun things to buy inside Highly recommend checking it out!

Yelp
I stop by Cafe Fenix around 3-4 times a week every morning. It's down the street from my house. The staff is super friendly. As time has gone on, the items for sale have definitely gotten better. They have some pretty tasty baked goods. I always get an americano and the flavor is always right. I saw on Facebook that they would have tamales and empanadas. I was craving them all week. When I went in today, they hadn't been delivered for the day yet :( . I'll try again tomorrow.

Yelp
Ambient place with great coffee and pastries. The staff is bilingual and welcoming. Nancy made delicious cappuccinos for us!

Yelp
I had to pick up some wine at Binny's in Logan Square, so I looked for a lunch spot nearby. I wanted to support a small local business, and I chose Fenix. The ladies at this breakfast/lunch cafe are very friendly. I got a veggie panini and a mango smoothie. The sandwich had tomato, cheese, and guacamole, plus some green pepper for extra healthiness. The bread reminded my of good Cubano bread, and the cooking time was well judged. The mango smoothie was solid. I am glad this place is making it through the pandemic. Please support these great people if you are in the area.

Yelp
Great neighborhood coffeehouse. Great coffee, fresh pastry, simple sandwiches and paninis, smoothies, tamales. A great mixed menu! But best of all a great, sweet, inviting staff. They know my order when I walk in the door. It's also a community center...all the staff are volunteers. Just a great spirit! Love this place! Every morning...double espresso!!!

Yelp
Great cozy spot. Cappuccinos are really good, especially for the price. Really friendly staff!

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE THIS PLACE! They are so sweet and it's a cooperative, so the profit goes back towards community programs. Their coffee is also to die for and they have amazing homemade food!

Yelp
This place is truly a hidden gem. The staff are incredibly friendly. The coffee and food are great. I highly recommend the veggie panini. It's delicious. They also have a coffee rewards program for returning customers via a simple punch card they give you upon first purchase. Awesome place for coffee, breakfast and lunch!

Yelp
Such a cute, locally owned cafe. The prices are very reasonable. And the owners are so nice. Loved it! Support local Latina business owners!
