First, the name. Cafe Goodluck is such a straightforward, positive appellation that you can’t help but be charmed from first hearing about it. Walking in, you’re greeted by a cozy atmosphere and cheerful staff that make you feel welcome. If I weren’t in the city for business, I’d certainly be back!
The logo, an adorably derpy-looking horse, is endearing and I so wish it was on more merchandise! “Drink coffee, go so fast” is exactly what that horse would say, and it’s just too bad that slogan isn’t on more merch.
I had the Americano and a ginger cookie, both of which were great. The coffee was served in a special mug that I forget the name of, but he point is that even that was specially selected. Can’t exactly say what it is, but everything that went into this establishment feels curated, like you’ve been invited into someone’s beautiful world, and you’ll appreciate that for sure! Would I make a special trip? If you want to hit up cafes you can’t miss it! If you’re in Dartmouth, you gotta go. But if you see the photos and read this review and aren’t charmed, then you’re probably ok skipping.
Overall, Cafe Goodluck has a unique character that I found especially charming. If that appeals to you, make the trip! Just wish they had more of that horse on merch lol!
