Cafe Gotsoul

I’m always on the lookout for discovering new places, and this time, I stepped into this café—no wait, this museum! The Italian owner of the café (Mike),is a pleasant yet serious man, the furniture is original, and most interesting of all, there’s music, a gramophone, speakers, vinyl records… all of which turn this place into a café-gallery-museum. As for the coffee—just imagine how good it must be when an Italian is the one making it! And don’t forget to try the donuts and samosas too.

Really vibey cafe. Lots of music equipment like boom boxes, Dj turnstile, disco ball, electro music playing...it was definitely a vibe. I just ordered an Americano. They have good wifi and places to work. Highly recommend this spot!!

Love this place! The music theme is super cute and they did a very good job of making the café look like a record shop (you can actually buy records). The coffee is also great, and the service is good every time. Definitely a favourite of mine.

Pretty cool concept for a cafe. They said they do listening parties, which sounds fun. Coffee and pastries passable and definitely not a highlight but the staff were friendly. Obviously the most unique thing about this cafe is the sound systems and vinyls and streetwear on sale. Great atmosphere, probably better at nights.

Very unique café with good drinks! They actually host several events, like disco nights or card games, so I’d definitely recommend contacting them in advance to plan your visit for an even better experience. The only downside might be the prices - I wanted to get a matcha latte, but 7.50 CAD (I think pre-tax) was just too much for me, so I ended up having a good seltzer instead.

It’s been a while since I set foot in this coffee shop but every time I do, I feel like as if I’m sitting in my own living-room of nostalgia. As a 90’s kid, a lot of memories come back. From the beautiful display of funky jazz, R&B and soul vinyl collection and the JVC radios that make you feel like as if you are a part of a “Spike Lee Joint” to the in house DJ playing hits that only my Aunt would play during family BBQ’s, this coffee shop is basically a Time Machine back to the coolest decade! Not to mention, my latte was perfect!! Overall, Got Soul is a tasteful coffee shop that if the Beastie Boys were from Montreal, they would give it a major shout out! Giving this place a 5 star just ain’t enough!

This place is boomin! After some antique shopping in the neighborhood, we stumbled upon this wonderful surprise. They had great coffee, snacks, and music on vinyl played on high end vintage stereo. Mike offered to play a selection for me, so he spun Miles Davis and blasted those Tannoy Super Red Monitor speakers. Wow! Just absolutely special.

I go to Cafe GotSoul when I feel creative. It's a great place to meet amazing people and have a great coffee. Jojo and Toddy are super dope. Easy 5 stars

Amazing café with great concept: vinyl collection, DJ on Saturdays, impressive art-work, great books and friendly service. Plus a good, strong espresso.

So inviting! So welcoming! Wonderful place for a snack and to unwind to an excellent selection of music. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is so pleasant that it is hard to leave.
