Cafe Hagen (Modern Scandinavian All Day Restaurant and Cocktail Bar)

This was my second time visiting this cafe since I absolutely loved my first experience here. I really enjoy the atmosphere. It’s elegant, calm, and the coffee is excellent. However, I felt a bit rushed when ordering this time. When I asked about the sizes for the Jasmine Cider (the menu listed three sizes, but the cashier only mentioned two), the cashier seemed to hurry through the whole process, which made it feel a bit uncomfortable. Then, while I was still selecting how I wanted my receipt, the cashier cancelled the transaction, and I had to ask again for a paper receipt. I still love the drinks and ambiance here just hope the ordering experience feels a little more relaxed next time.

Super delicious spot in Bellevue with beautiful seating both indoors and outdoors. Cafe Hagen is truly one of a kind — it offers a full menu of breakfast and lunch options, along with a wide variety of unique and tasty drinks. I highly recommend trying the Dubai chocolate latte — it was my personal favorite and an absolute must try. Prices are reasonable, especially for the quality and ambiance. Our group of four each ordered a filling plate and a delicious drink, and the total came to about $100 — great value for a satisfying meal. I have to emphasize how nice the seating is — it’s a perfect place to relax or catch up with friends. I’m definitely planning to come back once the weather warms up so I can enjoy the outdoor patio even more.

Cafe Hagen calls itself a modern Scandinavian restaurant and cocktail bar—and it truly is all of that. But when a single place tries to be a café, a restaurant, and a bar, it becomes hard to define. For me, it felt like something in between… maybe best described as a lounge. That said, I really enjoyed my experience. The ambiance is beautiful, the food and pastries were excellent, and the mocha I ordered was fantastic. It’s a versatile spot, and while I’m not sure what to label it, I do know I had a great time. Definitely worth a visit.

You pay extra for the pretty presentation, location, and ambience… that’s pretty much it. I like the bread on the avocado toast, but the actual taste is overall ordinary. The pastries were quite stale, as they were sitting out behind glass with a few flies having a family gathering over them. I will say, the coffee is wonderful—rich and robust, with unique syrups and milk alternatives available. What really knocks them down is how overpriced everything is. $13 avocado toast plus $3 for a single egg? $6.50 for a 12oz latte? $3 extra for a side of chips? Madness. You’re paying for the “Instagram worthiness” of their food and drinks. Overall, the space is great for studying or hanging with friends, but even then it gets extremely busy and LOUD during peak hours and weekends (you will have to hunt for seating). Service is rude and pretentious as well. There’s no available street parking, but there is a paid lot that’s free on Sundays.

Loved the Latte Flight ‘s creative flavor profiles. Chocolate croissant was a good size. The Churro creation was phenomenal—stuffed with a tasty fluffy vanilla bean filling - most certainly one of the best products they sell ! I’d love to go back and try different pastries. Iced salted caramel was good —I expected some syrup drizzled on top or in the sides but it was decent, definitely not overly sweet. I do wish there was a bigger variety of breakfast food but there’s enough for a concise menu .

Very cozy vibe. Not crowded at all. The environment is great. Drinks are good too. We tried the latte flight today and the strawberry coconut one is my personal favorite.

Visited Cafe Hagen for the first time around a week and a half ago! Food/Drinks: I ordered the Iced Dubai Chocolate Latte and my boyfriend got the Iced Chai Latte. I mostly liked my drink but it was a bit sweet. The smallest size they do for iced drinks is 16oz, but I wish I could have gotten a smaller size just because of how sweet it was. I tried the Iced Chai and was not a fan, it tasted very milky to me. We also got the raspberry bar pastry and it was good! Service: Normal service, nothing special. Employees were friendly. Atmosphere: Upscale interior. Great place to hang out and do work. I would visit this place again mainly just as a nice work spot.

I have been visiting this cafe Hagen in bellevue for last couple of months and am very impressed. Ben, Noel, Daniel, Donny and everyone else are amazing, efficient, have great attitude besides having high quality beverages and food. Everyone takes so much pride in their job duties.
