Stopped in this place with some friends for a few minutes of relaxation and a cup of coffee. I absolutely loved it! There was one gentleman (I’m assuming the owner?; extremely nice ) who prepared our coffees and I also noticed on the menu that in addition to pastries he offered made to order sandwiches. I ordered a beet latte which I thoroughly enjoyed. This was a first for me! My other friends ordered lattes as well and commented how much they enjoyed them. What I especially loved about this place is the vintage decor and the soothing jazz which was playing in the background. I really enjoyed this as it’s my favorite genre of music. The place just has a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. I wouldn’t come here if you’re rushing out to work, etc., it’s not that kind of vibe. But if you’re looking for a cafe spot to just sit back and relax, enjoy a delicious cup of coffee or tea with a small group of friends or a solo retreat, I would highly recommend.

This spot is a pure vibe! The quirky table and chairs, the decor and the music 🎶 very nice spot to chill. The menu looks great too. I am sipping a honey lavender latte and it is perfectly balanced the espresso to honey to floral is phenomenal. The two employees were very nice as well. They are playing a mix of upbeat smooth jazz and classic jazz tunes currently. The decor is an eclectic mix of books, vintage photos, figurines and signs.

Stopped in here because I wanted some fun coffee art (seemed like a decent reason to me) and was shocked at how enjoyable my experience was! The Mexican mocha was fantastic, and I also got the hot honey and goat cheese croissant sandwich which was absolutely delicious. The prices were definitely reasonable, and the vibe was super chill with fantastic alternative 90s music playing(as a millennial I very much appreciated this). I thought this place would be a one off for me, but I will absolutely be back to try the other sandwiches and more fun coffee art 😁

Google
Best coffee shop around by far, and I've tried nearly every one. Atmosphere is cozy and Norman is very friendly and makes every customer feel special. It feels like you're truly apart of the local community. Coffee, tea and food is always top tier too!

Lu Y.

Google
Nice little place to hide for your own peaceful! It is just in middle of Troy but you feel like you are in some vacation island coffee bar! So South Asian mix with Japanese Grocery store style. The coffee is good , the hot chocolate is brilliant.

Google
Place was super cute and even had a small outdoor area! Loved the vibe. I had a mocha and the croissant sandwich with the prosciutto- very yummy and fresh! My dad ordered the sardine toast and he loved it as well! Prices were super fair!

Google
Came with my teen daughter. Norman (stormin Norman as he introduced himself 🙃) was great. He seems like a genuinely happy person, which is refreshing in today's culture. He allowed us space and time to change our minds a few times, and even gave us a sample of his house-brewed tea. I love not feeling rushed when I order food/drink. My daughter chose a traverse cherry tea with Boba and simple syrup. I ordered the honey lavender cold brew. They were delicious. I love that you can customize your drink with anything they have on the menu. To be honest, once I met Norman, I had a feeling that if I asked him to order a special ingredient. He wouldn't hesitate to do it. He had a sense of humor and was very eager to ensure we loved our drinks. The atmosphere is super cute, modge podge vintage. If you have little kids who can read. I would take caution because the signage and décor are very... colorful (which we absolutely loved- laughing is good for your soul 😝). All around great place (not a hidden gem, though. Place was packed!)

Google
I went there a few days ago because I happen to be in the area and wanted a quick bite, great atmosphere and food/drinks, you can tell the owner works hard!:)

Yelp
This place is an absolute gem! The food is so fresh and tasty and the drinks hit the spot. We had hot and cold drinks and everything was top notch. (Stormin) Norman is the owner here and he made our lunch perfect. He was so friendly and went above and beyond. The decor is filled with whimsy and kitsch. A unique little place that may seem unassuming on the outside, but as soon as you step in, you know you've entered somewhere special.

Yelp
Trying this location for the first time, very cute spot, knowledgable friendly barista. Coffee was amazing. Place has a cozy, homey vibe. I'd recommend & definitely try other things on the menu next time.
google avatar

Bincy T.

Yelp
Came here to get some breakfast and to do some studying. It was a great place to get some work done while getting a quick bite. Service was so great and the restaurant had such a cute vibe. I ordered a vanilla latte and ham croissant, definitely recommend trying it!
google avatar

Shelby B.

Yelp
Came here to get a matcha and I wasent disappointed! The staff here is soo friendly and kind.My boyfriend and I got a free cookie with our matcha which was the perfect accompaniment to a perfect drink. The vibe of the cafe is so welcoming and cozy. It is a smaller space though so all the seats were taken but im sure the staff would find a way to squeeze us in if we asked. Thats how kind they were! I cant wait to come back and try some of the food menu items and some of their other drinks.

Michael M.

Yelp
Great cafe for drinks, snacks and hanging out with friends as well as business partners. Perfect start for any days of the week. Teas or coffees are all great. Thank you Norman! July 26 is the anniversary date of this cafe.
google avatar

Madison D.

Yelp
This place has such a great vibe and unique menu. Love stopping in here for a light lunch. They have a lot of vegetarian options & everything tastes fresh. They have milk substitutions as well. It's a smaller place, i don't recommend coming with a group larger than 4. Support small businesses like Cafe Immortelle!!

Shannon O.

Yelp
Wow... so glad I found this place! I needed a place to kill some time in between appointments in the Hell that Troy is. This cafe not only has great coffee, but also fantastic healthy lunch options. I had a carrot ginger soup - with very flavorful broth and a nori handroll. Comfy decor, very friendly staff and awesome playlist. Clearly the owners love music just as much as food!
google avatar

DeMario M.

Yelp
This place is definitely a vibe. It's small and cozy. The staff is very friendly. I came here to study a few times and there were only a few people in the shop so it was very peaceful. I love their tea selection - I frequently get the Black Rose tea (highly recommend if you need a caffeine boost). I also believe this place has the best Avocado toast. The lemon & black pepper Avocado toast with an added egg, will have you coming back again and again.
google avatar

Alyssa S.

Yelp
Super cute little coffee shop! Although it's simplistic, the tomato and basil avocado toast was delicious. Decent portion of avocado smashed on sourdough toast with cherry tomatoes and basil. The hazelnut ice latte was strong yet not so sweet. I will definitely come back here.
google avatar

Michael T.

Yelp
Perfect food, drink, and experience. Had the oatmilk latte. So artful. Delicious. Hot. Soul-warming. Recommended the Mexican latte but we were not adventurous this time. Next time will try for sure given today's experience. Salmon croissant was simple, contained smoked salmon, good amount of diced vege. Was toasted. Croissant was not too oily/buttery. Flaky, not too sweet, and complements contents of the sandwich and latte perfectly. This is the perfect place post-meal as I prly wouldn't come here for full blown meal. Good ambiance. Cute place. Very unique. Even the bathroom. Excellent service - food was brought out promptly.

Yelp
Love this spot! They're family owned and Filipino! Love to see it! They do serve arroz caldo for breakfast but not the day we went in, since it was hot. I got the Traverse city cherry hibiscus tea to try. My sisters got matcha with turmeric and a cortado. They've got all the Alt milks too. Tea was delicious! Not super sweet and not all that tart. Staff was nice! I think we saw the dad and the son. Its kind of a long room with a few tables lining one of the walls. It has a pretty earthy vibe inside with lots of shades of brown. A few tables outside too with Darth Vader keeping watch. LOL The parking lot isn't large, but you can find spots next to the building if there aren't any right in front.

Yelp
Great tucked away little coffee/tea place on Livernois. Barista made our lattes nice and hot, great body of flavor (thank you Sabbath for the good beans). I also had a salmon croissant sandwich and really enjoyed it. Packed full of mixed greens and pickled veggies, and I loved the generous helping of juicy capers. Goat cheese instead of cream cheese was a nice idea too. I wish there was a bit more salmon though because I didn't really feel it throughout the sandwich. Overall, definitely a good coffee and eatery spot to frequent in SE MI! Keep it in your rotation of places to relax and grab a drink/bite on weekends!

Yelp
First time visiting this shop in Troy. Cool little eclectic shop with lots of retro design! The murals and art in the shop are really cool and hipster vibes! We just had coffee but stuck around to play a game. The coffee and mocha was really good! We loved the flavor and strength of the coffee. You can tell that they serve really high quality coffee. While yelp won't let me select a 4.5, I would have rated it that. The boba I had was still a little firm, but I'd still come back to try other drinks and taste some of the food.
google avatar

Kendra N.

Yelp
The owner is so lovely. The food and drinks was fantastic!!! I come to study here. Cute, quiet and quaint.
google avatar

Seon-Young R.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. The ambiance is very cosy and hip kind of I feel like I am in one of those cafe in a nice college town. They have nice variety of tea selections. The espresso and latte... the barista gives you lovely latte art. Yet their prices are cheap! Great place to hang out with a friend or two.
google avatar

Donny W.

Yelp
As soon as I pulled up I was so excited to see Darth Vader sitting outside. The shop is so small and cute and has tons of little Star Wars items around. I was offered great suggestions and had an iced vanilla latte that has totally turned me on to iced coffee. I'll be back!
google avatar

Josh H.

Yelp
Little shop that is pretty unique in the way of cafes. Digging the apparent love of Star Wars (a lightsaber was chilling on a shelf above the food prep area and there was a Darth Vader homie hanging out in front). The avocado toast was phenomenal. It alone was worth the visit. The bread was hearty enough to hold it's form throughout eating. The place was pretty busy so it took a bit to order and for the food to come out. Two coffees (one with an extra double shot), two avocado toasts and a cookie ran about $30 and some change. Will definitely be returning.

Yelp
Such a cute hole in the wall type place. The food was excellent. We had a ham on croissant and smoked salmon on croissant. The owner was happy and was doing everything on his own, but the wait for the food wasn't very long at all. We sat outside and ate, but there's inside seating too. Nice place for a couple lunch or to grab coffee or tea with a friend to catch up.

Athena D.

Yelp
Okay going in i was expecting great things because of all the reviews but it was okay. My Matcha was great but I felt bad for the barista. He was the only one working there and whenever someone came in he would politely ask for their patience as he was behind and trying to get orders out as fast as he could. I felt stressed out for him, and they need to hire more help.

Mary A.

Yelp
Amazing food & atmosphere. best latte and avocado toast I've ever had. I had the honey cinnamon latte and chili avocado toast and both exceeded my expectations. The decor inside is very cute and cozy too. I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Isaac A.

Yelp
This place was great. I got a capuchino and the hot honey croissant. The sandwich came with some spicy salad that was really refreshing. The drink was good, but the sandwich was great. I rarely order vegetarian offerings, but this looked interesting so I gave it a try. The staff was friendly and the price was reasonable. I would definitely stop in again
google avatar

Yelp
Almost missed this place as the signage isn't obvious but once you find this cute little coffee shop, it's so worth keeping an eye out for it. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and helped us with all of our questions. He made me a refreshing lavender rose oolong iced tea and we also ordered a vanilla latte and pumpkin chocolate chip cookie. They have some asian offerings I was curious about (steamed pork bad, spam musubi) but we were headed to lunch and didn't want to ruin our appetites. Decor is cute and interesting and nostalgic, apparently the father of the guy behind the counter has been collecting Star Wars memorabilia for sometime and now displays it in the coffee shop. Please pay them a visit! I love to see mom and pop places like this make it and stay a part of their neighborhoods.
google avatar

Nicole E.

Yelp
Cute little cafe in as small shopping center. Friendly staff, behind the counter, Norman. He made our hot chocolate and Immortelle tea and a spam musubi. The hot chocolate was made with almond milk, was more creamy than chocolatey, but not bad. The cafe Immortelle tea is really nice and pleasant, even without honey or any sweeteners. It's a great blend and smells fresh and fragrant, but not too overwhelming. The spa musubi was nice, great with the spicy mayo too. I don't even eat spam but it was yummy. The cook some Filipino cuisines on Sundays. The Immortelle flower is a small yellow bud flower, it never dies at all. It's on the bicycle in the window. This cafe has such great charm.

Yelp
Ah-mazing. Next level. Phenomenal. I had an oat milk latte and a small bite to eat (salmon something or other), and both things were so beautiful and delicious. You can tell that there's a level of attention to detail that is not often found in a coffee shop outside of a downtown city (sorry, burbs, it's true). Prices were a smidge high, but fair. The shop itself is a small shop where you walk to the counter. I was not there at a peak time, so service was casual yet quick. I can't speak to the rush-hour experience, but for a place to chill with your laptop, it's tops. If you're a McDonalds / Folgers coffee drinker, or if you're used to sweet drinks from Biggby, this might not be for you. If you are a fan of third wave coffee, look no further than this little shop in a strip mall in Troy. Serious hidden gem.

Sunshine L.

Yelp
Super cozy tea shop with lovely jazz music! The matcha latte was delicious and not too sweet
google avatar

Becca W.

Yelp
Awesome new coffee shop in Troy! Just opened on July 28 and it is everything I want a cafe to be with friendly staff, delicious drinks and beautiful tasty food. The interior is well decorated and totally built and designed by the staff. Pretty cool to be in a cafe and be able to talk to the people who built it. Make sure you say hi to Jon, their talented lead barista, the artist behind their mural and super friendly dude! In addition to hand crafted espresso beverages and tea, they also have a full food menu with items ranging from avocado toast to spam musubi (their signature dish). Everything made when you order so you know it's fresh! Seriously try this place out!!
google avatar

Mehruba A.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop in Troy. The interior design is eclectic and they have just a few tables of seating so probably not a place you can come to with a group. They offer a variety of coffee options and a few pastries. I opted for an iced latte sweetened with caramel syrup. The coffee was pretty good, not too sweet. I would've loved it even more had the caramel been just a tad bit stronger. Staff are warm and helpful.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in on a Sunday! what great service and their coffee is delicious. Can't wait to sit Outside this summer and try their food

Yelp
I've always loved stopping by Cafe Immortelle on my way to work. The staff and owners are very friendly. The quick bites are very good and the drinks are amazing! My go-to orders are: Spam Musubi Iced Matcha Latte Avocado Toast/Toastettes Overall a very cute and lovely cafe!

Leena Y.

Yelp
Excellent place to study, grab a coffee, or grab a quick bite! It's such a cute place and the vibes are amazing! The food is very good as well, and freshly made. My favorite thing about this place is their coffee. I have gotten their iced lattes and hot; both kinds were exceptional. Their service is very nice. The place is always kept clean! Overall, great coffee, food, vibes and service.

Raj R.

Yelp
The latte was good. They have only one size. Slightly on the expensive side. The ambiance and cleanliness needs some work.

Sara K.

Yelp
Food and coffee were great! Cute place and nice people! The avocado toast was the best I've ever had!
google avatar

Ailun H.

Yelp
I have only gone to this place twice but I really enjoyed the lattes and mochas and so did my mom! The only downfall is that they never seem to have cold brew which is my usual go-to. The staff is super friendly! It's run by a family and the owner is always talking and getting to know guests better. The first time I went, he asked for my name and asked me to sign the wall. Great vibes and decorations, too!

Marissa F.

Yelp
The food, the drinks, and the service are top notch. I am traveling for work and was able to get in a few hours of work, have a cup of coffee and matcha (both were amazing), and have a bite to eat (I went with the salmon croissant). I will be back!
google avatar

Capricia C.

Yelp
Tried to come here on Monday, 11:30am, tables were outside but the shop was closed. Hours posted said 10a-6pm. Google, Yelp and Shop hours are all consistent but it was closed. I want to give this coffee shop a chance! I will update my review once I can actually give this shop a chance
google avatar

Tammy D.

Yelp
Excellent drink and food. However, hours are odd and is not always convenient for my schedule.

Faith A.

Yelp
Such a cute and warm environment to read, study, or color in. The owner is very nice and has really put time and effort into every detail of the cafe. My boyfriend and I loved the vintage decor and great music. Highly recommend!

Yelp
OMG I loved this place! I decided to pop in for some coffee with some friends. We weren't sure what to expect but our expectations were pretty high. Glad to say we weren't disappointed! Food: I ordered a ham croissant and my friends ordered some of the avocado toast. They said that the avocado toast was really good so I'll have to try it next time. My croissant sandwich was delicious. The bread was flaky and soft and the meats and cheese were also really flavorful. The sandwich was a good size and it made me decently full along with my drink. Drink: I ordered a normal latte. I really liked the design on the latte, very Instagram worthy! My friends ordered a Matcha latte (had the same cute design on it) And the other one ordered one of the fruit teas. The latte was really yummy, not too bitter! The Matcha latte was also very sweet and tasted really good. The fruit tea was not overwhelmingly sweet and was very refreshing, even on a cold fall day. Inside: The inside of the café is not too big but there is a decent amount of seating at small tables. There is also lofi music playing, Which gave me a typical coffee shop vibe (like something you'd see in Seattle). Really clean and aesthetically pleasing! Staff was also really friendly and I had a decent conversation with them after placing my order. Will definitely be back!

Andrew R.

Yelp
Came in and ordered: Croissant sandwich (ham) Oat milk latte with hazelnut Iced cafe Mocha Everything we ordered was delicious and had a specialty-made vibe. 10/10 place. We'll certainly be frequenting again!! Establishment has a small-business-owner positivity about it. If you're in the area, check this place out. Former Yelp Elite here, and I very rarely write reviews anymore, so when I choose to review, it's either very good or very bad. Do with that information what you will!
google avatar

Virginia L.

Yelp
These guys just opened 3 weeks ago and they're already doing a phenomenal job of providing excellent customer service to all the locals. Besides the traditional tea and coffee and snack items, their staff is truly wonderful and makes sure you enjoy everything you order. I got the cortado with oat milk while my friend ordered the matcha latte with honey. Both were prepared right in front of you and tasted lovely. There are some tables and chairs to hang out or you can do some homework using WiFi as well. One of the owners was nice enough to treat us to some menu tasting items that was quite the nice gesture- Edamame Toast and Strawberry Nutella Toast. They also have sweet mugs and coffee beans for purchase. Will def be back soon!
google avatar

Maryann P.

Yelp
When I imagine going to a cafe, I imagine it to be a chill and relaxing vibe. And Cafe Immortelle is the definition of how a cafe should be! Especially because you can tell Norman cares about the cafe. I highly recommend the spam musubi!! My first time having that today. My fiancé ordered the ham prosciutto and cappuccino! He finished it so fast! I love coming here! Norman is so welcoming! I can tell he has a lot of regulars by the way he greet his customers by their first name! Please come support this business! It's always a pleasure to come here! The atmosphere and decor is awesome!! They also sell cards here for $5 as well!! Oh and the music I was really vibing too!! :)
google avatar

Wonjae P.

Yelp
Looks very small on the outside, but is a beautiful cafe on the inside. Surprisingly the height of the chair matches the height of the table. Ordered two iced americanos, which were incredibly refreshing with just a hint of fruitiness. Seemed like a light rost, but also a light pull, but great when it's 85F outside. Definitely would come again for chill vibes.

Yelp
Overall score 4.5/5 I was really excited to try this place, hearing it from a friend. I had very high expectations due to the Musubi and Avocado Toast! I frequent Cali a lot and both items you can find pretty frequently, but not here in Detroit. The only complaint I have and I won't knock them for it because I liked how nice everyone was and how new this place is. When I visited (Sunday afternoon) it seemed slightly busy, all the tables were taken, but the order line took forever. Waiting for my to-go food took awhile too, I timed it and it took almost 20ish mins to get the Musubi and Avo toastettes. I got the tea super quick though. The price IMO is a little high for the amount of food you're getting but the quality is good so I don't mind. Other than that this place rocks. I ordered the house special tea which was great! The interior of this store is small but quaint, I like it a lot. I wish it were slightly bigger so I can come here to work on my laptop but the limited seating makes me feel bad for doing that. The Spam Musubi is good, not great but good. The Avo Toast was also good, nothing like what I'm used to in Cali at Philz Coffee which introduced me to Avo Toast. Come try this place if you're near, it's good. The staff were very nice and apologetic because of the wait etc so I can't knock them for my first time experience, but I'll come back for sure when I'm in the area.

Yelp
Overall I thought it was a good experience. It is a small and quiet place. Menu was fairly priced and coffee quality was good.
google avatar

Varun S.

Yelp
Ended up checking out Immortelle on a cold rainy day in Michigan. What a great experience - the owners are a customer driven and delightful couple! Thank for your hospitality. I learned a lot about the tea selection but ended up going with a oat milk caramel latte - great choice with subtle flavoring (will be back to try the tea). The ambiance of the shop is fantastic providing coffee shops aesthetic to you in a suburban setting! The cafe also offers food and sweets - so be sure to check it out!
google avatar

Anna L.

Yelp
This place is so cute and super yummy! My friend and I both got the ham croissant sandwich and it was pretty good! She got a cappuccino and loved it. I got the affogato with a hazelnut shot and it was amazing! Honestly probably the best thing I've had in my life! I will definitely be returning!!
google avatar

Phoebe G.

Yelp
I thought it would be a dream to find a coffee shop that also serves sushi, but this gem of a place makes that a reality. Don't worry if sushi isn't your thing- there's a decent food menu and pastries as well. Slightly kitschy decor and handmade tables are a nice homey touch and creates a fun ambiance. They also make a delicious espresso- latte was not too hot and had nice flavour. Also: super friendly service! I'll be coming back when I'm in the area.
google avatar

Hammad H.

Yelp
This is the REAL DEAL, great premium coffee that tastes amazing, and from a reputable roaster from Michigan too. The vibe inside is very chill, a great atmosphere with soothing LoFi beats, and pleasing decor. I'd recommend this place to anyone who enjoys coffee, or even just wants a chill place to study or read
google avatar

Yelp
Updating my review to add that this coffee shop has only gotten better over the past year. They've navigated the pandemic with grace and resilience, adjusting its layout, creating an outdoor seating area, while never losing the personal touches that make this my go-to shop every week.
