Caffe In Gamba, Pista, and Larue Et Fils Just Opened New Montreal Cafés | Eater Montreal

"I note that after 12 years on Parc Avenue, Caffè In Gamba has made its first expansion into the rapidly changing loft-office zone at St-Viateur East and Casgrain, taking over the former premises of Brooklyn Café by agreement with that eatery’s owners. One of the city’s earlier third-wave-ish coffee shops since opening in 2007, it now carries a rotating selection of solid coffees including roasts from Vancouver’s 49th Parallel and Hamilton’s Detour, and with a sizable space on hand it also serves salads. It’s open weekdays 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on weekends." - Tim Forster

Lovely cafe with delicious coffee, knowledgeable staff and a great selection of coffee from local Montreal roasters and specialty coffee from other parts of Canada. They have new beans on tab every time I visit and best part, if you like their daily coffee, you can grab the beans to go. They also have a patio in the back, there’s always place to sit, and their is more of a socializing cafe

Love this chain. They have such a chill vibe and cozy setting. It is perfect for hanging out and or even working. Strong wifi, indoor couch or table seating, and a backdoor patio with greenery. Also the coffee is really good.

Rude staff member made it unwelcoming. Overpriced considering the pastries were from yesterday. Coffee was good, but not enough to redeem it. The real gem is the beautiful backyard terrace - a lovely spot. With better service and fresher treats, this place could be great.

Cute, bustling coffee place where there are indoor seating and an outdoor bench. Tried their very good matcha latte and tasty walnut cookie!

Came here after a recommendation, but not in love. The grilled cheese sandwich was barely melted, the wi-fi is spotty and it is a loud place, heavily visited. I did enjoy the caramel latte which had a nice balance of bitter and sweet. The other location on Parc was similarly busy, and had no pastries left by noon.

I’m a very hard critic when it comes to coffee so I’ll put it out there right of the bat. I did not like their coffee. I got an americano. Now the place itself is quite nice and the staff is friendly. Their food menu seems decent (can’t comment as I didn’t try their food) Did appreciate that they have vegan options (their soups).

Beautiful place, feels warm and homey, coffee is world class, as expected from the masters at caffe in gamba. Hof Kelsten croissants are a perfect match for the great coffee, congrats Dominic and Simon Pierre, you have a winner!

Yelp
Nice, beautiful new cafe. Found in the old Brooklyn cafe. Very well done with great meeting and hanging space. Enjoy!

Yelp
bit confused by what the management thinks by doing evaluations on the terasse between the customers. not sure if the dude sniffed too much glue as a child or got bullied or his parents are siblings, but the neglect for workers rights and privacy should get him fired and on some blacklist. it was dehumanizing for everyone involved. couldnt wait after shop closes? no other room available? those people are the problem.
