✨ Cafè International is a must-visit! ✨ The coffee was absolutely amazing — rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The vibe is so warm and welcoming, and everyone we met was incredibly kind. We got to chat with the owner and her daughter, and they were both so sweet and genuine. You can really feel the love they put into the place. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area! ❤️

Google
They are open early during almost every holiday which is nice. Open Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. Big parking lot. Plenty of seats inside. They have a standard chai mix here like most places serve. Was ready fast. No complaints :)

Google
It was labor day and many places were closed which led us to this cafe. The bagels were so fresh and delicious. I got cheddar with jalapeño creame cheese and it was spicy and filling. We all enjoyed our bagels and drinks. They were so kind and nice. It feels like a family run place but there is so much seating. Wish I got more bagels to take home. Even their coffee cups were aesthetic and they gave me a bit of milk for my toddler.

Google
I had the Cheddar bagel with Jalapeno cream cheese. It was amazing! The staff her are very courteous and seem like they truly enjoy working there. If you're passing through RI, make sure to stop by and give it a try! A++++

Google
The food is amazing, which is why I still come here, but the service from the younger workers gets worse every time! Today, I ordered an iced coffee. As I gave my order, I forgot to mention the size. The girl behind the counter responded, "How do you want it? Hot? Iced? Size?" as if I hadn't given any description of what I wanted. Attached is a picture of the bagel with maple walnut cream cheese that I ordered. She didn't even cover one full side! It looks like she used about 1/4 of an ounce of cream cheese, but I got charged full price. I noticed her putting my order in a bag, so I let her know it was to stay. "Not that you asked!" I mumbled to myself. She tosses the bagel on a tray and tosses the tray on the counter. After payment, I had to ask for my receipt because she did not offer or ask if I wanted one, nor was I informed of how much my order cost. My iced coffee was served very dark, like she'd used milk instead of cream, so I asked for "another splash of cream." By the look in her face, you would think I asked my server to deliver me the Hope diamond! (Edit to add: from the taste of it, she did originally add milk instead of cream, as ordered). I was not offered a straw or napkins with my order, either. At this point, I was done asking for items that should have been automatically given (in spite of "straw law" which I have yet to see obeyed anywhere else). I believe in supporting small businesses, but I do not tolerate bad service. Now that Panera has switched back to offering real cream cheese, I may find myself back there instead. The service is marginally better, but at least there I don't get bad service with a side of attitude problem.

Google
My go to place. Excellent bagels, sandwiches are fantastic, pastries as well, great selection of coffees. Friendly staff, great service. Nice comfortable atmosphere. Always make you feel at home.

Google
Cute spot! Discovered it because of the RI Food Fights Iced Coffee Celebration. I ordered a chocolate chip cookie iced coffee and a blueberry bagel. The bagel was actually BLUE which my kids loved!! The coffee was nice and sweet without being too much. I will definitely be back to try out more fun bagels!

Yelp
Place is bigger than it looks, very clean, food is awesome, coffee is great, and service is fantastic. A+ all around

Yelp
The coffee is great, their bagels are wonderful and their service is top notch. It's not a very fancy shop, but it has a ton of seating and everything there is amazing. Theres tons of parking and while it tends to be busy, it's a nice quiet little spot to enjoy breakfast and read.
google avatar

Yelp
Solid bagel and casual coffee spot with no frills. Bagel quality is good, decent amount of options and coffee/ tea. Service fast and friendly
google avatar

Danielle D.

Yelp
I've gone back a handful of times after my first visit. The iced chai was arguably one of the best I've ever had. Their walnut, chive, and jalapeño cream cheeses are all great. Service is quick and friendly- they handle peak hours with ease.
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty good place with many bagel and spread options. Also a lot of coffee flavors. The inside is nice with plenty of seating. Waited in a line bit longer than I should have with only 2 people ahead of me. Bacon egg and cheese was good but could use a slice or 2 more of bacon. But overall I enjoyed the sandwich. Will come back again for sure.
google avatar

Katie C.

Yelp
Fresh bagels daily! Tried a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and bagel with cream cheese - both were delicious! Generous amount of cream cheese and the bacon was thick and crispy! Also loved the iced coffee options, we tried the "coffee concoctions" which are premixed and they have tons of flavor options. Tons of seating available, fast service, call ahead available and cozy feel. Parking lot for off street parking. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Lauren H.

Yelp
Such a cute spot! I got a small french toast iced coffee and it was delicious! They have plenty of indoor seating and the worker was very pleasant and nice. Convenient location and good coffee, I'll definitely be going back!
google avatar

Claire C.

Yelp
Cafe international is a classic in-and-out coffee shop with great coffee and service. It's not ideal for hanging out as the ambiance is not super welcoming. Recommend toasty turtle or butterfinger coffee!

Yelp
It was our annual yard sale. My friend said what kind of bagel do you want? Cheddar. Little did I know I would be so impressed with this bagel that here I am writing a review when I never stepped into Cafe International! So placed a large order pretty easily. She got about a dozen different flavored bagels to support her co- sellers for the day. She grabbed a plain and a chive cream cheese. I tried 3 bagels and here is my official ranking: 1. Cheddar (Tasted so fresh and just delicious!) 2. French Toast (messy- sticky but tasty!) 3. Pumpernickel ( fresh yet just not as flavorful as the other two flavors All tasted so fresh, like just baked. They are delicious! Cafe International is officially on my radar. The cream cheese is think and creamy- again hit a home run here. I did not try the chive but my husband said fresh chives in the cream cheese- delicious! A must for yard sales, brunch or... anything!

Yelp
I live nearby so I really want to love this local coffee shop but I just don't understand the hype. I end up here a few times a month for sheer convenience. The breakfast sandwiches are so incredibly cardboard dry. The coffee is good but it's never made as asked. I end up with the wrong flavor or milk many times. It's a good place if you would rather support local versus going to Dunkin. Same quality/taste. There's so many other local options out there now that are far better quality for what you pay. This place will always be busy simply because it's located on a main high-traffic road. It has so much wasted potential.

Yelp
Update: I got the Everything bagel with in-house made cream cheese and I just wanted to comment that it was the best Everything Bagel I have ever had. They sprinkled a bit of sea salt on the top and that small addition sends the flavor of this bagel over the top! Who would've thought that a little sprinkle of salt would make all the difference, but that, coupled with the fresh cream cheese makes this a bagel worth commenting about. I may dream about this bagel until I can get back there to get another.
google avatar

Melissa F.

Yelp
I'm not sure what the hype about this place. Love that they're local and easier to get to then Providence Bagel in the city but their bagels severely lack flavor. Cinnamon raisin had the very slightest flavor of Cinnamon and the blueberry had zero blueberry flavor despite the bright blue color. And when I say blue, I mean blue like Cookie Monster. Just too doughy for my liking The upside, their homemade cream cheese is delicious!
google avatar

Kristen S.

Yelp
Good bagels, better cream cheese. I like how they have brewed flavors and not just syrups. The other baked goods just never look great (think banquet breakfast).

Yelp
This place is way nicer on the inside than how it looks from the parking lot (yes, I was judging a book by its cover) and is twice as large as expected because the seating area extends to the space next door. The person working the counter initially seemed annoyed at my questions about the menu, but warmed up as we continued talking. In fact, she shared her favorite drinks and made some great recommendations to help me select a delicious iced coffee flavor that was made to my liking. I sat at a nearby table, enjoying my marble bagel and chive cream cheese (which was delicious too) and watched some regulars come in and get greeted by name as she made their drinks. I observed another first timer walk in, ask some questions about the sandwiches, and he too received the same weird standoffish interaction. As I was leaving, I received a nice goodbye from the woman behind the counter and as I waved goodbye in return, I wondered if the coffee was good enough to bring me back to this place again and I think that it just *might be*.

Yelp
nonstop foot traffic, staff friendly and helpful, a variety of coffee. it seemed good and like the neighborhood likes it. i went once so that's what i'm going by. i will say the bacon is turkey bacon and i didn't expect that nor like it, so next time it will just be an egg and cheese on a bagel for me. the bagel seemed nice and fresh. also there's seating in there, but in another room, so i almost missed it. good surprise to find it.

Sophia I.

Yelp
Not the biggest fan of their bagels, but I came for the free iced coffee from RIFoodFights. I got the house blend with cream and sugar. It was a smooth iced coffee!
google avatar

Brandon L.

Yelp
Quick, clean, and handling COVID-19 very well. I came here as a result of the RI Food Fights iced Coffee Challenge. It's a nice, cute little cafe that's airy, modern, and has plenty of options from chai, to coffee, to pastries. Line was about six people deep (all socially distanced) but the wait was only around a minute per person, which is impressive. Got an Iced Decaf Hazelnut with cream and sugar. Very smooth flavor to it; the roast has some very sweet undertones & tastes very fresh. Prices are also very fair --- comparable, if not cheaper, than the franchise that dominates this state. Will be back!

Yelp
Stopped by for iced coffee on my way to work. This is a popular spot in the morning, as there was a line of about 3 people when I arrived. The line moved a little slow (about 7-10min for me to get to the front and customers were getting iced coffee and pastry) but the staff were very friendly and attentive. I tried the french roast coffee which tasted fairly good black. I do appreciate that they offer a variety of coffee flavors that are all flavored naturally through the bean, not with artificial syrup. The cafe is clean and large on the inside with lots of seating. It's located in a strip of restaurants/shops on Oaklawn ave and has plenty of parking. Overall, fine little cafe with decent coffee.

Yelp
I am always looking for a tasty bagel, so I was glad when I found Cafe International. Their bagels, cream cheeses and coffees are very tasty. On top of that, they staff is super friendly and accommodating. Totally worth a stop for a nice breakfast.
google avatar

Ariana G.

Yelp
I enjoy the coffee at Cafe International but that's really it. The bagels and the sandwiches aren't really worth the money they charge for them. I typically get an iced coffee and it's $2.80 for a small. If you enjoy coffee that's brewed with the flavor in it instead of a syrup and you're near Oaklawn Ave definitely try them out!
google avatar

Brittaney T.

Yelp
Having passed by this place so many times I can't believe I've never tried it! I came here during the RI food fights challenge and got my free small snickerdoodle iced coffee with almond milk! I really liked the flavor of the coffee! My husband got the Irish one and really enjoyed that as well! We definitely couldn't help but smell the delicious fresh smelling bagels which we definitely will have to try next time! They had ample seating and seemed like a good place to grab a coffee and study!

Yelp
Hidden gem I just discovered that's to this app! 16 years of business with good food, coffee and service with a smile. Definitely will return soon. I loved my low carb bagel filled with lots of fresh veggies including avocado and cilantro-dill hummus!!
google avatar

Neil B.

Yelp
I have stopped here a couple of times while waiting for my mother at various appointments nearby. Both times that I have visited, I found the servers to be very friendly. Also the coffee was good...though a bit overpriced (I actually pay less in Brooklyn for high end coffee). It is a nice place to sit and relax. Small and quiet but with not only a counter but a separate room where you can sit and enjoy what you purchased. Also because I am trying to eat low carb, the woman behind the counter gave me the spices that had fallen off the everything bagel...heavenly without the carbs!

Kanon K.

Yelp
Tasty food, but way too expensive. $16 for a bacon egg and cheese bagel with pound cake and drink.

Valerie C.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here for the first time today because we had a ri food fights coupon. The coffee tasted incredible. I ordered an iced chunky monkey (if you like banana flavored things this is the drink for you) and he ordered an iced coconut cream pie coffee. The bagels were also good. I got a lox on a cheddar bagel and he got an onion bagel with cream cheese. The cafe is also surprisingly spacious if you want to sit and catch up with a friend. The service was very quick as well, we barely waited for what we ordered. We would highly recommend this place for its iced coffee flavors and bagels.
google avatar

Debbie B.

Yelp
Sadly this establishment is not following the recommended procedures related to covid-19. The individual making my coffee had his mask dangling around his neck and talked throughout the preparation. It's sickening to think about the number of spit droplets that made their way into my drink. I had to throw it in the trash - what a waste of money. This coffee shop has lost my business.

Laura S.

Yelp
The food was very mediocre at best. The "BLT" was made with instant bacon. The cream cheese and bagel were "okay." The food is the reason for the 2 stars. The service was a 1 star experience. The restaurant was plenty well staffed, but extremely unorganized. They didn't know who was ordering. Random people were taking orders and preparing the food at the same time while moving on to start working on the food without actually completing an order. When asked to finish ordering, the staff seemed annoyed. I didn't finish actually ordering any coffee or the muffin I wanted because the staff clearly didn't want me to order anything else. The place would do much better under a good manager. Very chaotic experience and not a pleasant cafe experience to say the least. 2 stars.

Dyanna D.

Yelp
This is a cute coffee shop in a convenient location for all neighboring towns. They have a large variety of coffee flavors and a good sandwich selection. I have had a bagel here before and it was good. This time I was on a mission for and ice coffee. The staff at the counter were super helpful, telling me what the most popular flavor was. So I got that! I forgot it's name, but it had coconut. So on a hot summer day not a bad idea. This cafe also has indoor seating so if you have some time, dine in!
google avatar

Steve R.

Yelp
I discovered this place several months ago because I was told they have great bagels. For the most part, they haven't disappointed. They have a large variety of flavors, but they get picked over fairly early in the day. The coffee is decent but somewhat expensive. They have other pastries, but they don't look very impressive. I've had no problems with service. It's worth coming for the bagels if you arrive early enough.
google avatar

Dezeree H.

Yelp
This was just ok. I think we had a new person so every aspect of our order was wrong except the coffee. But everyone is new at some point, so I give it three stars for the food and drink quality. In my opinion you can get better bagels and drinks from Cafe Tempo. I was a bit disappointed because I really really wanted this place to be fantastic, but it's just average.
google avatar

Justin D.

Yelp
I will start by saying these are one of best bagels in RI. Handmade everyday. Over 12 different varieties including spinach and sunflower my two favorites. Cream cheese is made fresh as well with several different full fat and low fat choices. It's also a true coffee house everything from espressos and Americanos to an endless list of ice coffee flavors to frozen concoctions. I am an ice coffee guy and love their snickerdoodle flavor. They have recently remodeled to give it more of a modern look that is was lacking. Definitely check it out.

Yelp
I researched on where to get really good Jewish/NY style bagels. On Christmas Eve day I had my brother-in-law stop here for me because I figured we would support a new local food establishment. Also, after seeing their pictures online, the bagels looked pretty on point. My brother-in-law got there at 8:30 on a Saturday morning knowing the bagels would be really fresh. However when he came over at 9, the bagels were extremely hard as if they were already a day old and the toppings were pretty much non-existent. Even though from what I was told the customer service was great, we will be moving on to better bagels.
google avatar

Lauren C.

Yelp
Just went here for the first time today and was really impressed! I'm picky about coffee and got the Italian roast which was perfect and nice and bold. I also love that they have so many brewed varieties and flavors, not just flavored syrups. Bagel and muffin were great also. Service was super friendly and even though I didn't stay, the seating area looked really comfortable and clean. I plan on making this my regular weekend coffee shop.
google avatar

Bitty G.

Yelp
The flavored coffees here are way too sweet and the flavors taste very fake. Like you can tell it's just all syrups. And I like sweet coffee, I usually get a caramel macchiato from Starbucks. No ambiance in here really, and it wouldn't hurt the barista to be a little friendlier. The only thing I really like from here are their bagels, especially cinnamon sugar (toasted with cream cheese).

Ash M.

Yelp
Yummy variety of bagels and coffee syrups! Always friendly and quick staff. A nice, quick breakfast stop if you are on the go.

Yelp
We went to The Golden Rose today and while my Mom was being served I walked (almost,) next door to the International Cafe. I'm surprised no one's reviewed this place. The owner's daughter at The Golden Rose recommended the Chicken Salad Wrap. With that in mind I also ordered a small Red Eye (haven't heard it called that since the 90's!) iced. It's suppose to be coffee with the strength of espresso toned down in regular coffee. The counterman asked if I wanted tomatoes and lettuce in the wrap which I replied "Yes," to. He also asked me if I wanted the pickle and chips with it: yes to pickle, no to chips. I sat down and waited for him to make it right then. The inside looks like a coffee place and the posted menu didn't seem like it had many international dishes on it. That didn't really bother me though, I was looking for something simple. When the wrap came it was cut in half and had no paper around it. That made eating it a bit messy as the wrap was open at both ends on one half of the wrap. Whatever. The chicken meat was the texture of pulled pork not in the usual chunks that you get like when you order a sandwich with Willow Tree Chicken Salad. That is not to say that is wasn't as good. In fact I liked it better because there was less mayonnaise on the chicken than usual. It was very simple with parsley in the salad and I felt satisfied and pleased after eating the simple sandwich. I liked the 2 long slivers of dill pickles. They tasted akin to Vlasic Brand dills. The decor isn't challenging and the business looked a bit more than a basic coffee cafe which is to say comfortable but not funky. It was clean and not busy. In this set of strip malls along Oaklawn Avenue I think you'd have to live here or frequent the local businesses to come here. There were a couple and one young woman that came in while I was here around 3 pm so I don't know how it is when it's busy. I'd recommend this place though. I will probably be coming here again.

Michelle V.

Yelp
Annoying staff, mediocre food, Brewed Awakenings waaayyy better! To the owner: your staff needs a serious refresher in good customer service. Would you like to be waiting in line while the rep is busy chatting with friends? Would you be happy if a rep asked for your order but as you were mid sentence she starts talking to a co worker, completely cutting you off? Would you consider any of this good service? Your food is not that good and certainly not good enough for anyone to tolerate horrible service. I'll stick with Brewed Awakenings... their service is Top Notch.
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
Bagels are ok, bread crummy inside, not soft chewy, Coffee average, one would expect a better choice of beans from a place called Cafe International.
google avatar

Jenny L.

Yelp
Bagels are delicious, coffee is great.. But I'm not sure how hard it is to remember my order when I'm the only customer in there and I just told you the order... Time after time after time those girls screw up the most simple orders even under the most calm ordering conditions.. Plain bagel toasted ... Nope How about just a plain bagel as is ... Always disappointing I guess maybe I should check before I leave .. My mistake!
google avatar

Allison D. R.

Yelp
Sign outside advertises salads & sandwiches. Nope, coffee and bagels only, unless you count lox as a sandwich.
google avatar

Erin F.

Yelp
Delicious iced coffee and great bagels!! Not many more options for food... coffee is kind of what they do best! Worth a stop for the Butterfinger or Banana Hazelnut. Delish!
google avatar

Mary B.

Yelp
I've been going here for a few weeks now for I like trying new places for my coffee. The girls behind the counter are nice and helpful. They have a good selection of coffee flavors and concoctions...I like the Chunky Monkey and the Irish nut, very tasty. I get it iced and with skim milk and it seems to be the right mixture. They also have a good selection of bagels too. I get the cinnamon sugar, sun dried tomato and asiago and take their lite veggie cream cheese which is so delicious. I believe its homemade and its just right. Parking is great, I'm in an out in a breeze. I would like to try their sandwiches sometime but they close when I get out of work. Prices are reasonable. Overall I like the place, but they need to work on getting a paper menu for their customers.

Hannah W.

Yelp
Went in on this Sunday afternoon at around 12:30, saw someone behind the counter when I pulled in but when I walked in they were gone. I peeked and saw an employee run around a corner hallway behind the counter. Interesting way to drive business. I called "Hello" but ultimately left empy handed.

James R.

Yelp
Apparently it's the local hangout. I found the bagels average and the prices out of whack. I'd rather use my keurig and sit on my deck in the morning.

Natasha H.

Yelp
OK, So I love your product! Your coffee and the bagels are delicious!!BUT the staff are miserable! and I was just in today and I asked for a toasted bagel with a cream cheese on it I got a bagel that was not toasted with cream cheese! which I think is so gross! get friendlier staff!!

Sheila L.

Yelp
These are the best bagels in the state. Coffee is good and the owner is very personable.
