Where to Eat Middle Eastern Food in San Diego - Eater San Diego

"As the name suggests, expect solid Turkish staples at this family-friendly spot. Dishes are flavorsome and well-priced — tuck into vibrant salads, homemade dumplings, charcoal-scarred kebabs, and, of course, buttery baklava. The breakfast plate and Turkish coffee are a winning combination for the morning." - Keri Bridgwater

We ordered the chicken shawarma, lamb, Turkish coffee, and shakshuka. Everything tasted amazing! The owners were really nice, too. Definitely give this place a try.

I can see they work very hard and food does taste amazing. I had this place 3 times all 3 times when I was in San Diego for a trip. Breakfast was filling and good. Both dinners were more then enough food and way to tasty. The only thing is sometimes they don’t have everything on the menu. But will always accommodate and mix and match items. Still always a place to try and eat. I will always be customer when I’m back in town.

Hidden gem of downtown!!! This unassuming cafe is easily one of the best authentic Turkish food you'll find anywhere. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming. The portions are plentyful and the prices are spot on. If the service seems slow, be patient, as the only person in the kitchen is the owner making your meal as you order it. It's worth it!

This unassumingly simple atmosphered restaurant is big on quality and delicious food. I went here for the first time last week. The fresh hummus and pita bread were hauntingly good. I can’t stop thinking about them and will return soon. The main dish was fantastic too. Definitely recommended!

Arrived an hour before closing on a Sunday night with seven picky eaters, including two cranky kids. The staff member on duty (Walid) was very courteous, everyone agreed that the food was really good, and we washed everything down with hot tea and delicious baklava. Great value for money, and halal.

Very friendly. Was from out of town and he recommended some places for me to go to. Great food if you like seasoning and flavor, will require a seasoned and mature tongue to really appreciate this food though. Be prepared for a big plate you'll probably have to take home

I like their food a lot, taste good and reasonable amount and price. However, I always go to Turkish restaurant to enjoy my tea in their cute cultural tea cups, but here have me my tea in to-go cup which was a little disappointment, they also had just one type of tea, it would be great if we could get simple black tea instead of camomile.
