The Best Restaurants in Paris, According to a French Food Expert | Eater

"Sitting among beautiful flea market finds — old posters, prints, faience, and other objects curated by notably hospitable owner Thibault Sizun — you can have an excellent meal of artfully seasoned, traditional French dishes at this friendly, good-value bistro. Senegalese chef Soda Thiam hails from Italy, so pasta dishes are also a highlight, like agnolotti stuffed with blood pudding and ramps in cider sauce. Otherwise, expect dishes like cream of cauliflower soup with herbs and pumpkin seeds, rabbit escabeche with tarragon mayonnaise and grilled cabbage, pork-and-duck stuffed cabbage with onion puree, and a made-to-order apple tart for two. Located in the 17th arrondissement. Best for: Great Gallic grub in the lively, young Batignolles neighborhood, too often overlooked by visitors." - Alexander Lobrano

Café Janine is a wonderful spot for dinner! I went yesterday with friends, and everything about the experience was delightful. The food was tasty and gave me ideas, which is always a sign of a great meal. The staff were great, attentive, friendly without being intrusive, and the atmosphere was delicious and flowery, making the whole evening even more enjoyable. 🥰 I definitely recommend the place, a charming spot worth visiting! 🥰

The food was delicious. I ordered the tatar and it was very good - you really get a big portion. The staff was slow and not very service minded.

I LOVE this place! The food, the ambiance, the drinks, the service. Xavier took care of me last time I was there and he was AMAZING. He even spoke to me in Spanish, which was a surprise! This is an excellent spot if you want to partake in the traditional French practice of “L’Apero,” where you meet up with friends and spend the afternoon people watching, talking, eating and drinking. Go check it out if you’re in Le Marais 😉

My family and I stumbled across this beautiful little family-run place during our stay in Paris. The food and drinks were fabulous but the super accommodating and attentive service was what really made our visit exceptional. We can’t reccomend highly enough and will be telling all of our friends about this little gem. Particular highlights were the escargots, French toast and espresso martini’s. Thanks so much for such a wonderful experience - we can’t wait to visit you again soon! ❤️

Perfect place for dinner on our first night in Paris as a family. Cozy and so accommodating of our family of 5, with young kids. Loved the sea bream with ratatouille. Kids loved the chicken with gravy and fries and chocolat chaud as dessert.

Our visit to this charming Parisian café was delightful from start to finish. We were wonderfully attended to by Adrien and the rest of the attentive staff. We enjoyed a three-course meal, complete with cocktails and wine. Adrienne went above and beyond, making us feel truly special. We would absolutely recommend this place to friends and will definitely be returning. A lovely experience indeed.

Stopped here on the way back to our hotel. Had drinks and snacks, which were fantastic. Liked it so much that we came back the next day for breakfast - tasty crossiants and good coffee. Friendly, attentive service and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend.
