My husband and I came here this past Sunday. We put our names on the waitlist in google while we drove down there, and I am not sure if that was what set off the chain of events to follow.
When we got there, I double checked that we were on the waitlist, and once I confirmed, I went over to the counter to order some iced coffee to drink while we waited. The woman working there gave me the cold shoulder and seemed irritated that I was ordering coffee, which I didn't understand. The space was really small, and I didn't know where to stand to not be in the way while I waited. Maybe that was the problem?
After being called for our table we were pointed to a table, and for about 5-ish minutes, we weren't given menus, drinks, or anything and no one came to check on us. I got this weird feeling like I wasn't welcome, and I didn't know why.
When someone finally did come to take our orders, she seemed annoyed, and when we asked for a glass of water or a side of salsa (which seem like pretty benign requests) we felt like we were inconveniencing the staff.
The redeeming quality was the food. The pancakes were some of the best I have had in a while, and the hash browns and bacon were crisp and well seasoned. The food might make it worth a return trip, but probably only for takeout. We didn't realize how much the service would impact our experience, but no one wants to feel unwanted when spending money somewhere.
