Google
Great spot for really delicious and well made food and drinks. The building itself is a little dated, but that's most of the buildings in this neighborhood and had no affect on my experience here. The staff were extremely friendly! I will definitely be coming back!

I came in due to the pictures I saw on another Google review. The picture of the sandwich intrigued me. The presentation was beautiful. I would ask for more sauce next time because I love sauces. I didn't know I was going to get an open face sandwich. My favorite part was the Caesar salad with the housemade dressing and croutons. I would definitely order that again!

Google
We came here to grab a quick latte because it was so cold. The owner is very nice and professional and I really like the decor inside. I would definitely want to come back to eat their breakfast.

Google
This cafe is amazing! Each dish is a work of art, so carefully made. The way it looks makes the food even better, it's a whole sensory experience. The tastes are as good as the presentation, using the freshest stuff. You gotta go if you love good food.

My experience was really good.!! My roasted beef sandwich was fantastic and the vegetarian soup was flavorful.

Google
Best Breakfast I ever had during my entire vacation to SF! The chef was very kind and welcoming. coffee was good, but the food was simply amazing and the fruit was incredibly fresh!

Google
Really great service! We thought they had outdoor seating and brought our dog. Turns out they don’t, but they offered to move a table outside without us even asking. Really nice. The food was great too. I think the breakfast wrap and the fruit platter were the most notable things we ordered. The open faced breakfast sandwiches come with cream cheese which is not mentioned on the menu, now you know! We are looking forward to going back.

Google
I stop by here everytime when visiting San Francisco. I do not think you can find anything even close at this price. Food quality, presentation is a top notch. The environment is upretending and cosy. Salads are fresh, extremely well balnced with flavors. Sanwiches and wraps are culinary art pieces. The service is quick and food appearance feels almost magical.

Yelp
Chauffeur scrambe eggs Relaxing atmosphere. The staff and owner are friendly. It started my day perfectly.

Yelp
If you're walking the Crosstown Trail, this is a must stop to rest your weary bones. I had an iced vanilla latte and a smoked salmon sandwich with Kalamata olives. I think it was supposed to be open-faced sandwich but he warned me ahead of time that he only had wheat bread. It had a beautiful presentation which I wasn't expecting and was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. Service was quicker than expected since there was just one guy making the food and drinks and cleaning and running the register and I had a big group with me. Enjoy!

Yelp
Sweet neighborhood hidden gem of a cafe known for their immaculate food presentations, breakfasts brunches and lunches - you'll feel immediately welcome by their pleasant atmosphere and cordial service. I had a Tex Mex omelette and my friend had a Morning Wrap. Their coffee mugs are large fist sizes and the coffee's hot and strong! Great place to meet friends or hang out on your own without feeling like you've overstayed your welcome. Prices are very reasonable for SF.

Yelp
First time trying this cafe. It's a small cafe and wasn't busy too maybe because we came there around 4ish. The staff were very accommodating and friendly so we're happy. The place is tiny but clean. Street parking and you can pay with a card. I ordered a decaf cappuccino and it's really good but the appearance not so since the coffee was sprinkled with cinnamon powder messily. I rather have my coffee without it. Will I go back? Probably not because it's too far

Yelp
Just had the spinach soup with croutons and the southwest wrap. EXCELLENT food! Highly recommend this spot and the owner/operator/chef.
google avatar

Yelp
The presentation of the food was great, way prettier than I was expecting. The actual wraps were rather bland. They took my lactose intolerance very seriously which I appreciated. The cafe is small and quiet, but clean. Overall decent but not outstanding.

Yelp
This place is the SPOT. It's definitely a hidden gem too because we walked in at prime brunch time (10 AM on a Sunday) and we were seated immediately. The presentation of the food is great and the taste matches that. Everything was tasty! Lots of seating, space to chat and catch up. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Been coming here for years. A lot of care is put into the dishes, not just the taste or portions, but the presentation as well. Had something new this time, the chicken pasta salad, was excellent as expected! Also the owner/chef is one of the most gracious people you'll find in the city. Great spot!

Yelp
This place is truly a hidden gem. Almost every Sunday, we get Cafe La Flore for brunch. Our go-to order? The Healthy Eater. Roll is the perfect texture--not too soft but not too crunchy--while the egg whites are perfectly cooked. We always ask for extra hot sauce. Do I know what hot sauce they use? No. It remains a mystery. But I will gladly drench my sandwich in their hot sauce every time. The Healthy Eater also comes with pineapples, strawberries, and bananas with strawberry yogurt--a nice refresher after the sandwich. The owner is very sweet and service is always friendly. They don't have that many employees so please be patient, especially when there are a lot of customers. You can always call ahead of time to check on the wait, or order takeout (they'll sometimes throw in orange juice for free!).

Yelp
Quaint little place, with pleasant owner and server. We had only drinks - drip, white mocha, matcha latte and cupuccino. All were excellent.

Yelp
Great food and drinks!! Close to the Golden gate park and 9th Avenue!! Accessible by Muni!

Yelp
The owner is such a hardworking generous man. You see him working extra hard to make sure everything is clean at all times and that service is quickly provided. The food is AMAZING and really good price and the lattes are even better. One of the best in Irving.

Yelp
Fancy little cafe out on Irving Inner Sunset. I'd actually been to their sister cafe in the inner Richmond. I ordered the Sandwich soup or salad combo and drink, although they had no soup and I didnt want a salad so I took potato chips. As you can see, these are definitely fork and knife sandwiches on a seeded sweet roll. someone else had a tuna melt but I didn't get a photo. Both sandwiches come warm so I suggest you eat there. My sandwich was $16 (the brie). I'd go back if in the area and wanted to have a sit down lunch

Yelp
I rarely write reviews, but I have to say this place is a hidden gem! Amazing food, well priced, amazing presentation (insta worthy). My partner and I got brunch and were surprised by the quality of food, atmosphere and presentation Flore has to offer. We're hella coming back, fsure!

Yelp
Stopped in and ordered a sandwich to go, went with the nor-cal jack. Sandwich was super loaded with the meat and even had a good bit of avocado! Loved that the sandwiches already came with a side salad, and they actually ended up being pretty big! Sandwich was a pretty good size too, I was even able to get two meals out of the two. Food was a little pricey and took a little while to come up, but it was a small shop with only two people working, plus it was fresh! Would probably come back here and grab a sandwich to enjoy at the park sometime.

Yelp
Hello new favorite restaurant! The food spins up creative classics into unexpectedly delicious and beautiful works of art. Smoked Salmon Open-Faced -- the eggs are perfectly soft and in-shape and the smoke salmon was fresh and came as a flower. The yogurt and fruits were a nice dessert touch too. Although this was a breakfast item, they still served at like 1pm. Thank you. Tuna Melt -- this blows all the tuna melts I had in my life. The toast is crunchy and it's full of flavor. I love the melted cheese on top. Food as you know it deconstructed and reconstructed in new ways. The cafe interior is quite lovely too. So much love and support to Cafe La Flore Irving!

Yelp
Where have you been all my life? This neighborhood gem is worth crossing the city - or an ocean - for. Hip, genuine interior... you will be transported to Paris, or Soho. And the food... the food... plates composed with the elegance of a 5 star restaurant, with every item sourced at the peak of perfection. I cleaned my plate, even down to the fresh mint garnish. The coffee is a religious experience. Wonderful, unassuming chef.
google avatar

Angela Y.

Yelp
A cute cafe on Irving with lots of seating! They serve both food (like sandwiches) and drinks. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and they provide free Wifi on request. The interior is pretty spacious, and I especially love the skylights. A great spot to spend some time doing work or just reading.

Yelp
We were headed to Art's Cafe, but at the last minute realized that it was a Monday and Art's would be closed. Instead we stopped at this delightful small cafe. I had the Tex-Mex omelet. I take pride in making my own omelets, so I seldom order one when we go out, but I took a chance this time. And wow. It was the best omelet that I have ever tasted. Light and fluffy, just the right heat, and beautifully presented.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow! What a treat. This is a super spacious cafe with wifi, plenty of seating, and outlets. The food presentation is absolutely beautiful and I enjoyed my latte. Came to get work done here after seeing how packed the cafe I was planning on working at was. So glad I stumbled onto Cafe La Flore! Will be back for sure.

Yelp
"People haven't always been there for me but music always has..." - Taylor Swift Bonjour! Am I back in Paris listening to Begin Again by Taylor, or what?! A charming French Café in the quiet part of the Inner Sunset District caught my eye... Cafe La Flore on Irving! Oh the memories... Perhaps I've been here before, honestly don't recall, but back in the day, I lived just a stones throw away. It's odd how this wonderful Café has somehow flown under the radar for so long. Reviews are high but the location on Irving is more residential, so hm I guess, people forget about this gem? Oh well, as I enter, I find myself alone with the all French staff lol. It's early so that could have explained the low foot traffic. I am greeted in French offered a cozy corner window seat. Perfect start! I am treated with kindness, respect, and with patience as I peruse the menu. The menu is fusion French with Modern American, yet I decide to get a Breakfast Burrito instead lol, ironically it reminded me of when I ordered one in Paris! Silly cravings! For my beverage I decide on a Matcha Latté. I chill. The Matcha Latté arrives quickly with beautiful art - all about those details! On point in taste and a generous serving makes life worthwhile. The Breakfast Burrito aka Morning Wrap arrives shortly. The presentation of Morning Wrap was so French in aesthetics, but of course with the scrambled eggs, potato hash, bacon, avocado, pico de gallo, cheddar well it's obviously a boujee Burrito lol. *snap* And it was delicious! More on the healthier side versus the true Latin version, but it hit the spot! In the end, I'd return in a heartbeat! I loved the vibe, menu, and just how it brought back memories of my days walking the streets of Montmartre, Paris! And after playing that one song for the sixth time by Taylor Swift... well it's obvious a good Parisian day ;)

Yelp
I don't know how this cafe isn't more popular! We came here around 2:45pm on Saturday afternoon after seeing the food pictures on Yelp, and we found street parking nearby. The inside feels casual and cozy. The two staff members were really nice and attentive. We got the chicken salami sandwich, breakfast burrito, and an iced latte. The plating is so cute and unexpected from a cafe. I loved how pretty our dishes looked, and they were both yummy!
google avatar

Yelp
Despite the somewhat dated appearance of the decor, this place serves surprisingly good breakfast. Came here after dropping off a rent check as it was conveniently nearby. Matcha Latte - I didn't have high expectations for this, but it was delightfully presented and tasty creamy and delicious. Open faced smoked salmon - I am thoroughly impressed by the presentation, which looks like a Michelin chef's creation! It's stacked a little high, which made eating somewhat difficult, but the ingredients are fresh and tasty, and nicely balanced. The fresh fruit was amazing, with a tasteful choice of sauces to improve the flavor. Overall a very impressive experience. This cafe definitely has the underpromise and overdeliver vibe.

Yelp
I've been here twice and the service has always been kind and courteous. That's what stands out to me the most: how you're treated is key. The food was delicious, too: the waiter's suggestions were very helpful, portions were reasonable, and the coffee was good (I tried the Cafe Flore). Will definitely return.

Yelp
Delicious food, great service and a wonderful relaxed venue. It has a surprising and refreshing version of its lunch sandwiches. We were pleasantly surprised by the Caesar salad that came as its own starter rather than on the plate with the "sandwich." See my pictures of our Chicken Brie sandwich and the Tuna Melt. Both were excellent.

Yelp
We had lunch there on Father's Day and, fortunately, it was a slow day and I'm not into crowds. But, the food was excellent. We had the Italian Chicken Wrap and the ALT...Both tasted perfect and came with a salad. The owner, Pepe, has made the place really inviting.

Greg O.

Yelp
We survived. One other table late on a Saturday morning was the first sign. Really bad muddy coffee was the second sign. Probably should have cancelled our order and gone elsewhere right then and there, but we were hungry and reviews were really good (?). Food wasn't the worst I've ever had out, but it was strange and unappealing (omelette sandwich-- why? -- on soggy bread with melted cheese on top vs. inside). Maybe we hit when the regular staff was on vacation or had an emergency, though again it was brunch time on a Saturday morning. From the menu to the ambience (number cards on the tables?, giant plates?) to cleanliness, there was just nothing to get excited about here. We left feeling like we had to get a tea or drink somewhere else to wash the flavor of the food out of our mouths. With so much outstanding food in the city, we were really disappointed.

Yelp
For dine in on Thursday, January 19, 2023 Sister wanted to go the distance from the hospital and revisit the Cafe. We were seated at the same table by our server from last time. He let us know that they were still serving breakfast and there was no soup. He came back for our orders. For my hot drink, I wanted the hot chocolate. Our server remembered that I had asked for a milk substitute last time and asked if I would need it. When my hot chocolate came out, I was pleasantly surprised with the latte art work in it and the care that I could see that had been taken to do it. For my sandwich, I went with the Chicken-Salami Sandwich and a side of mixed greens. The mixed green salads had fresh greens, mandarin orange segments, goat cheese, and cranberries with a light vinaigrette. I told my sister, "If salads tasted this good, I would have one every single day". My chicken-salami sandwich had enough tender chicken breast and Genoa salami for me to go look for more bread and make a mini sandwich. The music played is very conducive to the enjoyment of the meal. It is a very relaxing environment. Service was excellent. Until next time.

Yelp
Staff is nice, food is outstanding and it has Hawaii/San Diego vibes. Will definitely return!

Yelp
Excellent food beautifully presented for a super reasonable price. Apparently my review isn't long enuf w/o this sentence.

Mark F.

Yelp
We got the Italian Chicken Wrap, one with vegetable soup and the other with Caesar Salad. The food was delicious. The service was friendly and the food was prompt and pretty. The interior is a bit plain but we would definitely come back.
google avatar

Yelp
New to the neighborhood, we stumbled on Cafe La Flore. It's one of those hidden neighborhood gems you want to review to make sure they succeed, but not become so popular you can't get a seat. We've eaten there a number of times, so far just for breakfast. My current favorite is the vegetable wrap, with pesto and just the right amount of hot sauce drizzled underneath. I like the friendly staff, care they take preparing the food, and the plating.
google avatar

Aimey T.

Yelp
Tiny little neighborhood restaurant that has a tiny little menu . But what was on the menu is very delicious, fresh and made to order. Staff were very nice but service was slow because I think they need more staff. So one star knocked off for very limited menu and slow staff.

Maura B.

Yelp
Everything on the menu is prepared by hand and gracefully presented. Delicious. Relaxing place for day dining
google avatar

Yelp
The food is phenomenal The chefs creativity is outstanding I'm just a normal guy and enjoy good food It's nice to see people who excel at their profession. You gotta give it a try.

Yelp
I came in for lunch and ordered the chicken wrap and it was delicious and beautifully presented! I wasn't expecting a salad with my wrap, but they brought that out first and it was also a work of art. Dressing was fantastic. The staff were attentive and very friendly. It's a few blocks from my new office so can't wait to try their other lunch options.
google avatar

Jocelyn L.

Yelp
The service was fast. The food was good and fresh. They put a lot of work into presentation. The portion sizes were incredibly good. The salad was were fresh.I loved that it was open faced. They really packed in a lot of tuna and I really enjoyed the bacon on top

Yelp
Unassuming Elegance: Café la Flore's Divine Cuisine and Masterful Owner 5 out of 5 stars - 03/18/2023 Café la Flore is a prime example of why one should never judge a book by its cover. Tucked away in the heart of San Francisco, this unassuming eatery may not boast a flashy atmosphere, but it more than compensates with its exquisite cuisine. The owner, a culinary genius, has single-handedly created an oasis of flavors that will delight even the most discerning palate. Upon entering the modest establishment, one might be tempted to dismiss it based on appearances alone. However, I implore you not to make that mistake. Café la Flore's true essence lies within its menu - a testament to the owner's creativity and mastery in the culinary arts. The Tuna Melt, a seemingly simple sandwich, was elevated to new heights under the deft hand of the owner. The melt-in-your-mouth tuna salad, perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor, was complemented by the sharpness of the melted cheddar cheese. Served on freshly toasted sourdough bread, this dish transformed a humble classic into an extraordinary experience. As for the Chicken Brie Sandwich, it was a symphony of flavors and textures that left me speechless. The succulent chicken, generously layered with creamy Brie, was enhanced by the tangy notes of the cranberry sauce. A hint of fresh arugula added a touch of brightness, while the crusty French baguette provided the ideal balance of texture. It was evident that the owner had carefully crafted this sandwich to achieve culinary perfection. Although Café la Flore is solely operated by the owner, the level of attentiveness and care he displayed were exceptional. Despite the absence of additional staff, this in no way detracted from the experience. Instead, it allowed the owner to showcase his talents and foster a personal connection with each guest. Café la Flore is truly a culinary gem in San Francisco, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Don't be deceived by its unpretentious exterior - this modest eatery is a treasure trove of flavors, crafted by a masterful owner who has poured his heart and soul into every dish. The Tuna Melt and Chicken Brie Sandwich are but a glimpse of the divine cuisine that awaits you at Café la Flore.

Yelp
I didn't know what to expect when I walked into this peaceful, open and spacious cafe on Irving Street. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! I loved my breakfast burrito and berry smoothie. High quality, delicious and fresh ingredients! Servers are attentive and warm. Seems like a place that really cares about their customers having a positive experience, from the warm ambiance to the yummy food to the friendly service, it was a 5 star and then some!

Yelp
My friends and I are huge fans of this place because of the quality of service, fresh ingredients, and excellent presentation of the food. I can pick just about anything on the menu and count on balanced flavors and textures. The owner, Pepe, is both a wonderful chef and host. Be sure to stop by if you're visiting the Inner Sunset!

Johnny M.

Yelp
Came here today for lunch and coffee and everything was excellent! The chef is very kind and talented and the waitress was friendly and welcoming. Everything was super fresh and delicious!

Yelp
A lovely cafe with a friendly welcoming atmosphere and beautiful comforting food and drink crafted from the heart. A neighborhood gem.
google avatar

Carlos H.

Yelp
A really delicious assortment of sandwiches and friendly staff and a selection of coffees and teas. They definitely add a gourmet touch to their sandwiches, the price-point can be a little higher than other places in the Bay Area considering the portion size though. Still - if you're willing to spend its worth it. They also have deals on the menu for more price-conscious customers which is a nice touch. It's a nice spot to grab lunch with a friend and catch-up. Also they have laptops for those trying to get some work done in the neighborhood and outdoor seating as well.
google avatar

Susan P.

Yelp
Great food/drink and amazing presentation for a simple cafe! Outstanding wi fi and ambiance is great for a place to study or work. Not too crowded either on weekdays for working there. I recommend their smoothies! All good is good too.

Aimee B.

Yelp
I don't usually write reviews but this place is so lovely and almost totally empty so I had to say something. I came here for a breakfast meeting - coffee was totally delicious and the open face egg thing was incredible and beautifully presented. My colleague and I had the place completely to ourselves and the waiter was so sweet. I've now been sitting here for almost two hours working - there is wifi, an easily accessible power strip, and a total of two other people here. There is a little background noise now and then from the music and coffee machine but other than that a really great place to work and just hang out. Definitely recommend and just wish I'd found it sooner.
google avatar

Hanh P.

Yelp
Stopped in for a coffee and some wifi to get some work done. The place is very clean and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The place is very clean and it looks like the food is well presented. I'd visit again!

Yelp
Cafe La Flore Irving turns your everyday brunch item into a piece of delicious art. My friend and I dropped by here to get some breakfast. Even though we were 10-20 minutes past the time they sold omelets, the chef (and I believe he is also the owner), said it was okay for us to order them. Here's what we ordered: 1. Mushroom omelet sandwich (mine) 2. I believe my friend got the Turkey sandwich...can't remember the exact name but I do remember that the meat was definitely turkey and the sauce was cranberry. You can tell that the chef is very detail-oriented by how artfully the dishes have been plated. Savory and sweet right next to each doesn't always work, but in this case it so does! The omelet rests on a sturdy piece of toast piled on with mushrooms, eggs and cheese; super delicious. The fresh fruit and the yogurt complemented each other perfectly and was the perfect finish. I'd love to come back and to see and eat more food masterpieces!

Yelp
Great little spot for breakfast and lunch. Hip modern interiors are clean with plenty of seating. The food and smoothies are Great! Try local and you'll come back, we will.

Yelp
I didn't know sandwiches could be turned into works of art. I was perusing Yelp for eateries open on Saturday early AM and came across their listing. The menu looked pretty normal with a variety of sandwiches, but the photos of said sandwiches took my breath away. It appears that all of the open-faced sandwiches (?) are turned into artfully arranged towers with a side of equally aesthetically-pleasing placements of fresh fruit. How does it taste? It's pretty much a regular sandwich (w/ fresh ingredients), but I love the presentation. If you have a sandwich craving, why not get it with an artistic flair?
