Stopped by for breakfast and had a latte, maple latte, chocolatine, and a chicken sandwich. The food and drinks were good, nothing extraordinary, but solid for a touristy area. The café itself is tiny but cozy, and the view is what makes it special: right in front of the church, with snowy weather and people passing by. It created a perfect winter-morning vibe, and I really enjoyed that atmosphere. ⭐ 4.3/5 — Nice spot mainly for the view and ambiance.

Loved this place, we came back a second time in the same day. The coffee is delicious and they have a great variety of flavored lattes! The chocolate muffin was a bit dry but the croissant was extraordinary! Definitely recommend.

Very lovely and welcoming staff. The pecan pie slice was huge and just what I wanted. But I couldn't taste the maple in the maple latte, and the apple turnover wasn't anything special, though its shape was cute. Overall very sweet, but I think that's on me for what I ordered.

We frequent La Maison Smith whenever we are in Quebec city. Great coffee, friendly service, tasty treats. I usually get a maple latte, because I think that’s what you’re supposed to do in Canada. But now that I think about it, I never see Canadians ordering one. Don’t forget to say “merci”!

We tried this café for breakfast and ordered a plain croissant, an almond croissant, Portuguese tarts, and a cappuccino. The croissants were excellent, among the best we had during our trip to Quebec. The coffee was decent as well. It’s probably the most beautifully situated café in the lower town. Situated by a public square and a church, it’s perfect for people-watching or simply enjoying a sunny day.

It’s a small place, but the hot chocolate is very good. We also tried some pastries and they were delicious!

One of the best coffees I have had in my travels through Canada. The food is also great and complemented by great service. Worth stopping in and warming up.
