The Best Restaurants and Bars in Ahuntsic | Eater Montreal

"Le Petit Flore transports part of Paris to Ahuntsic with light bistro fare and espresso drinks. Come evening, the café transforms into a bustling brasserie with a three-course table d’hôte, including options like puff pastry with confit gizzards in the appetizer category, beef bavette with potato gratin or creamy spaghetti with clams for mains, and crème brûlée for an impeccable finale." - Eater Staff

"This Ahuntsic mainstay has been offering up game-day essentials since its inception over 20 years ago, and for Super Bowl LV, it’s no different. Discovered a gem on Fleury Street during the MTLàTable event. Booked a table for brunch to get a feel for the restaurant prior making a dinner reservation. The decor was both charming and inviting, instantly reminding me of a café in Paris. The place was fully packed as I stepped into the restaurant, I came face to face with a waitress who was busily running food, carrying plates in both hands and she managed to nod and smile at me, adding a personal touch to the welcoming atmosphere. A powerful positive greeting that many restaurateurs tend to omit nowadays. Despite the rush, the hostess/waitress/owner took the time to explain the event menu to us, even sharing a few laughs. The food was nothing short of delightful. However, I expected a bit more from the Americano coffee, it was decent but lacked the richness I was hoping for. Overall, it combined excellent food with a friendly atmosphere. It was the perfect start to what promises to be many future visits.

The food and service were literally EXCELLENT! I had the Ongle de Boeuf Chimichurri and my wife took the Filet de Truite and they were an absolute Chef-d’oeuvre. Definitely recommend it to my friends and it’s for sure our go-to restaurant.

Party of 2 on the terrace. We got a nice little bistro table in the shade, just enough space between tables to be able to squeeze to your chair. We had two salad dishes: the grilled chicken Caesar salad and the hot goat cheese salad. Both were very delicious. The goat cheese was "panné" and the dish included a mix of spring salad, beets, sweet pecans, red peppers and cucumbers. The dressing was homemade like a sweet balsamic and fig. Had some optons on the menu for tap beer and non-alcoholic in a can. Cold coffee was delish. Service was a little slow, but there seemed to be three waiters Catherine to the terrace and the restaurant inside. But, great service and a lovely time. I'll be back.

Lovely cafe with a French menu. The cafe is cute, the service is friendly and inviting. This was my first and only experience eating out since the start of the coronavirus and they were so professional. There aren’t a lot of options for those who don’t eat meat - but it’s French cuisine so that’s on me! The quartier of the cafe is also lovely, I would highly recommend this beautiful spot.

Our French server was so snobby — she didn’t even try to speak English. When she came to our table, I asked, “Do you have any recommendations?” and she rolled her eyes and let out an exasperated sigh before saying, “Sorry, no speak English.” So I repeated in French, “Avez-vous des recommandations?” (basically the same word in both languages), and she still said “no” — then seemed annoyed with us for the rest of the meal. Don’t pretend you didn’t understand. It’s a shame, because the food was decent and the rest of the staff were kind (and did speak English). I get that we’re in QC, but what happens when a tourist only speaks English? Do you roll your eyes and sigh at them too? That server is terrible for business and honestly should be let go.
