NYC’s Aimé Leon Dore Opens New Greek Cafe in London’s Soho | Eater London

"Opened on 3 June at the corner of Broadwick and Poland Streets in Soho, this London flagship café from Aimé Leon Dore occupies an immaculately designed walnut-and-marble room that channels a Tuscan and Parisian café-chic aesthetic, complete with a Broadwick Street terrace overlooking a Veggie Pret. The offering is deliberately simple and Greek-inspired: a curated menu centered on Greek coffee culture (notably freddo espresso and freddo cappuccino) and pastries such as kourabiedes (almond), melomakarona (honey and walnut), kulourakia (butter), plus croissants and dry goods like honey, chocolate wafers and chamomile tea; coffee is supplied by Greek roaster Loumidis. Backed by the transatlantic streetwear reputation of its parent label—founded by Teddy Santis and known for collaborations with New Balance and the Yankees (with minority backing from LVMH Luxury Ventures)—the space aims to be a grown-up, fashion-adjacent destination for summertime terraces and steady neighborhood trade." - Adam Coghlan

Decent coffee place that has some good music, fashion and cool vibes. I got a flat white, which was foamy and had an ok taste. It gets busy inside. Coffee is a bit on the pricier side. The atmosphere feels modern and relaxed.

The place is quite small and little crowded, and there was a delay in preparing the coffee. Surprisingly, the barista asked me to move and wait with another group even though there was no extra space available! Unfortunately, it wasn’t a comfortable experience

Great vibe, friendly staff. Nice to sip on a coffee and enjoy all the fashionable people going in/out of Aimé Leon Dore.

The coffee was good, but the service was a bit slow. Honestly, I think this place is a little overhyped, nothing particularly special.

I ordered my coffee here, but when I tried to eat the croissant I brought with me, they refused. Honestly, it was very unpleasant and unreasonable, especially since I’m a paying customer. Also, the coffee was very average.

We had the misfortune of going here for a coffee today. We sat outside and moved the tables about 6 inches closer together and shuffled a couple chairs around so we weren’t all sat against the wall in straight line. Evidently this is completely unacceptable at this cafe and we were told to move the tables and chairs back by a member of staff who is clearly in the wrong job and shouldn’t have any interaction with the public. If you enjoy rude service then this is the place for you.
