London’s New Restaurant Openings - London - The Infatuation

"You can now follow up your visit to the Saatchi Gallery by popping next door to all-day cafe and bakery, Cafe Linea. We’re especially excited about the peach and bourbon hand pie at breakfast, the choux everything bagel at weekends, and the chicken and bacon caesar salad at dinner." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

Cafe Linea - Review - Chelsea - London - The Infatuation

"Cafe Linea is an all-day cafe and bakery next door to the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea. There's peach and bourbon hand pie on the breakfast menu, a choux everything bagel at weekends, and chicken and bacon caesar salad at dinner. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Sinéad Cranna

I had a lovely experience at Cafe Linea. The outdoor seating area is bright and relaxing, and the whole place has a stylish but comfortable feel. We tried a selection of pastries and dishes, and everything was beautifully presented. The tomato and ricotta danish was a standout — buttery, flaky pastry with fresh toppings. The black forest-style pastry was rich and indulgent, and the little pink chocolate slice was a nice treat. The French toast was perfectly golden and paired really well with the fresh berries and cream. The coffees were excellent too — smooth, well-balanced, and served with lovely latte art. Overall, a great spot for a slow brunch or coffee break. I’d definitely come back to try more of their pastries.

For all the hype and the cost, the food fell well below expectations. We ordered the basque cake, cookie and key lime cake. The basque was watery and didn't taste good . Cookie was extremely salty. For the price charge, expected a bit more quality. Service was fantastic on the other hand

The restaurant is in a beautiful building just off the King’s Road with a terrace overlooking a quiet park and facing the setting sun. It’s the perfect place for an evening cocktail and dinner. CafeLinea has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with attentive staff. We had the pepper chicken which was incredibly juicy with a crispy batter. The Stilton, pear and walnut profiteroles were sublime. The bavette steak was tender and full of flavour with crisp French fries. I would recommend the pork belly which was melt in the mouth with a crisp slaw. Every table was having pudding and you can see why. The quality of the patisserie is very high and all they are all very delicious. For the quality and location, it’s really good value too. Well worth a visit for dinner.

From the moment we stepped in, the experience was flawless. The ambiance was refined yet warm — the perfect balance of luxury and comfort. The attention to detail in both the décor and service was truly impressive. We were welcomed with genuine hospitality, and the staff remained attentive without being intrusive. The menu was beautifully curated, offering a selection of refined and well-balanced dishes that highlight quality ingredients and elegant presentation. Every plate was a visual and culinary delight — perfectly cooked, thoughtfully portioned, and served at the ideal temperature. The slow-cooked lamb and grilled chicken were both exceptional: tender, flavorful, and satisfying without being heavy. A thoughtful complementary item was offered at the end of our meal, and it was a truly delightful touch — unexpected, elegant, and deeply appreciated. This is more than just a meal — it’s an experience worth remembering. Highly recommended for those who appreciate fine dining, calm ambiance, and exceptional service.

Went for brunch with some friends and it was nice enough but I wouldn’t go again. The portions were tiny for how much you paid, and the food was nice but nothing outstanding. The staff were all very friendly, but the service was poor. We were given the wrong drinks, and anytime we would ask for something (the bill, water, someone to take our drink order, etc.) we would have to ask at least twice until someone would see to us, and it wasn’t particularly busy either. It became a running joke between our group that maybe that’s how Cafe Linea operate- with an “ask twice and you shall receive” rule. The atmosphere was nice with a very pretty interior!

We had the most amazing dinner at Cafe Linea. The waiter who served us was very professional and attentive, he made great suggestions. First ordered the snacks, lobster eclair (a must), and the whipped cannellini w/ Romero pepper which was great. We then ordered mackerel with tomatoes and smoked cream and the best ever chicken liver parfait millefeuille. The main was a chicken on a nest of pastry with vegetables and the red oak salad as a side. The most succulent chicken I’ve ever had. We then finished with the pistachio and chocolate tart and some ice cream and they were all perfect. We will definitely come back for more. That was the first of many visits.

The café is beautiful! The terrace is great, and I really enjoyed it. However, the beef tartare was not good stringy meat and very acidic. The staff seemed tired and unhappy (this is more a note for management). It took a while for someone to notice me at the beginning, and when I was leaving, they were too busy talking among themselves. I won’t try food there , but will try desserts and pastry next time .

Lovely place to enjoy your coffee & cake . We were 4 adults ordered coffees plus 1 strawberry pastry, 1 coconut cake , 1 cinnamon pastry & 1 gluten free coffee biscuit as well as fries and juice for my niece Cakes were amazingly delicious , freshly baked & full of flavours . The staff are friendly and welcoming and the place is new & bright The only downside is the toilets , like a maze you go upstairs and too many doors so you get confused no signs or directions where to go 🫤 you need 5 minutes to find the toilet !!
