Cafe Maud - Review - Upper East Side - New York - The Infatuation

"The original Café Maud opened in the East Village in 2024. Now, there’s a second location on the Upper East Sider serving the same crowd-pleasing assortment of bowls, wraps, and sandwiches. Unlike the original, this one has a bar upstairs called The Domino Room—inspired by a room of the same name in London—with a more upscale feel and a wraparound terrace." - Bryan Kim

Visiting NY and this was my last meal in the Big Apple... such a wonderful experience! I loved every bite! 🏆🤩 The atmosphere is a pure delight. The Holiday spirit totally surrounded us, musically, visually, even the menu! I enjoyed a special Mistletoe cocktail to the last drop ☺️ Beautiful spot to soak in a new, delicious New York. 👏🏼☺️👏🏼☺️

I went to this cafe twice back to back days and it had lovely vibes. It was decked out with decor for the holidays which shows the care and creativity the staff have for the ambiance. Second, the food was 10/10 both times, I got the New York bagel, and the breakfast burrito and both were delicious and huge portions. Lastly, the service was great. I had Jennifer as a server and she was very kind and attentive to me which I always appreciate when sitting down to eat. Check it out next time you’re in the area!

Food is great, service is a weak point. We came for breakfast and got breakfast burrito with chicken sausage and avocado toast, both were great. Burrito was supper filling and flavorful, good combination of ingredients and breakfast potatoes it came with were perfect. Since we came around 11am on a weekday we were seated right away. Service is somewhat bizarre I feel people have not maybe had other jobs before. Oh well, if you assertive you're still able to draw their attention and get what you need. Ambiance is cute

I took my wife here for breakfast and had a great experience. The breakfast burrito was phenomenal — the bacon added both a crunch and a savoriness. I loved that they put hashbrowns inside the burrito and grilled the outside. We also got the lemon ricotta pancakes, which were a standout. The lemon flavor was present but subtle. They were fluffy and delightful. It was busy, but there was no wait at 9:30 AM on a Monday and the food came out in about 15 minutes. The food is all high-quality and the service was fine, could be better. I’ve seen this place get really busy at night, and they have second-floor seating on a balcony that overlooks the street. Get a reservation if you can.

Cafe maud is a great bar and nicely decorated great for the winter holidays. Cool, cozy atmosphere and fabulous cocktails. The fried Oreo dessert da changed my life and I’m not usually a fan of desserts. Love the Connemara marble tables. Angie is the best!!! 4 mistletoe spritz’s down and I cannot wait to come back.

I get the hype! The service, aesthetics, ambiance and food were all awesome!! Our server Jennifer and the rest of the team were great, very engaged! Short rib fried rice is absolutely a must have. The bread with the meatballs was so cozy, spicy tuna on crispy rice and shrimp ceviche were so fresh and the meatballs tasted authentic with the pork veal beef blend! Fried chicken sandwich also bomb, didn’t have a single bad bite! Cocktails were great, not an Aperol spritz girl but the frozen Aperol was delicious! Will definitely be back on the reg! Glad to have this part of the UES now!

Jennifer is awesome, hooked it up with a side of hash browns even though it wasn't on the menu. "Elevated millennialcore" type aesthetic (like The Smith, Pecora Bianca) but still attracts a wide range of ages and vibes. Giving my native Upper East Sider seal of approval. PS, the Eggs Benedict have a green, unconventional quasi-hollandaise, but it's very good.

One of my favorite breakfast burritos in the neighborhood! The thick cut bacon is so good and there is a generous portion in the burrito. I don’t love the smashed potato that it came with, a little under seasoned for my taste, but the accompanying salad is nice and fresh. The short rib eggs Benedict is so absolutely delicious. The flavors work so well with the spinach sauce. The steak and eggs was a let down, not seasoned at all. Scone was flakey and warm, but probably wouldn’t order again. Overall though a solid brunch joint!
