Thought this place was going to become the great white whale of our trip. After landing and checking in we were starving, and found this charming little spot right near our hotel. Unfortunately it was about 30 minutes before closing and they only had coffee/tea. Thought the breakfast/brunch menu looked amazing and decided we had to come back, but the second time, the wait was extensive and we had the de rigueur tourist reservations and could not wait. I did notice they had a wait list app, though, so downloaded that and put ourselves on the list the next morning. A bit of a pain, but ultimately the delicious meal was worth it.
I tried the Chakchouka, my girlfriend the Green Eggs. Both came out sizzling, served in the skillet they were prepared in, and were very tasty. My shakshuka was perhaps a tad overly spicy/reliant on the harissa, but that isn't necessarily the worst thing. More one of those odd occasions where you order the thing you love, but wind up liking your companion's dish better and suffer a bit of meal envy, as the Green eggs were super flavorful, with pine nuts, feta, spinach and a melange of spices.
We also ordered coffees (the allongee an americano-type serving--acceptable but still more a watered-down espresso than a true brewed american-style coffee, which I always miss overseas), as well as a Green Juice (ginger-heavy but tasty), which all came to a pretty reasonable 44 Euro. An enjoyable meal worth the complicated wait!
