10 Great Not-Natural Wine Bars In SF

"When you want to spend a night getting wine-drunk without spending the equivalent of six months of AMC A-List on a “barnyard-forward” bottle, go to Cafe Meuse. Their pretty conventional three-pour flights will run you $19-21, and anything by the glass falls within the $10-16 range. The string light-adorned space is situated on a Nob Hill corner where you can watch the cable cars roll by, which really adds to the San Francisco-ness of it all. Cafe Meuse is also home to the best apple crisp in town—it arrives warm and melty with a big scoop of ice cream, and you won’t want to share. " - julia chen 1, patrick wong, lani conway

Cafe Meuse - Review - Nob Hill - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"We go to Cafe Meuse to drink a ton of wine without dropping a PG&E payment’s worth of money. Their flights are $19-$21, and feature three large glasses of whites or reds—which go great with snack-y dishes off their solid menu, like charcuterie or bruschetta with burrata. But heavy pours aren’t the only reason we’re here. This charming spot has a come-as-you-are mentality that’s ideal for second dates or unwinding on a Wednesday night, since no one will bat an eye if you show up in sweats, and you can actually have a conversation without having to yell over loud noise. Grab a seat by the window and watch the cable cars on Hyde Street roll past. And don’t leave without ordering the apple crisp topped with a perfect scoop of vanilla ice cream—it goes especially well with those three glasses." - Julia Chen

This is our go-to place whenever we’re in San Francisco. It’s small and cozy but still lively and vibrant. The wine selection is excellent, the food is delicious, and the service is always great. It’s a perfect spot to chat with friends, have a date, or just relax after a long day. The atmosphere is welcoming and unpretentious. Highly recommend!

Google
This is one of my favourite places! The atmostphere is so lovely and they always play great music. I usually just get a golden state cider which I have no idea how they make it taste better, maybe its the glass they put it in!? But for some reason it always tastes better here than in the can lol. I also usually get the burrata sliders with tomato and basil, again I have no idea what they do to it but it just tastes so yummy. The staff are the cherry on top, they are so lovely in there, friendly and attentive - even if I have not been there in a while they remember my order! Lovely little place

Google
Went in for a quick snack and some wine but stayed longer for the ambiance. Also not a huge fan of charcuterie but got it here and it was amazing. They paired really well with the wine. The service was great too. Would recommend.

Google
I wish there was a place like this closer to home. They have a well curated wine by the glass list of 30+ international wines. They definitely deliver on the food offerings. The arugula salad was fresh and well dressed, the tuna tartar also very fresh and flavorful. The risotto had the right amount of sautéed greens to balance the sausage. The waiter was attentive, and observant. He seemed to appear only when needed - perfect.

Google
Absolutely fantastic!!!! The wine pours were generous, the staff super friendly, and the cheese and charcuterie plates so delicious! We loved everything about it! So delicious and fab! Don’t miss out on this exquisite experience ❤️

Google
Great evening sunset 🌆 location! Having a non alcoholic Hefeweizen. Still full from lunch - but the appetizer and the Menu looks fantastic and very tasty. Great to sit outside along pacific. Pricing is great and the owner is a great guy - he opened up early for us!

Google
A wonderful little wine bar with great staff and a good selection of wines, local and international. The highlight, though, is the prefect selection of small plates to match to whichever wine you choose. The only minor negative that it was a busy Thursday night, around 8pm and almost too loud to hear inside, but hard to complain about people enjoying themselves in a wine bar!

Google
Stopped in for a glass of wine and a bite to eat after a late afternoon walk to the bay. Lovely time, delicious food and an excellent recommendation for a glass of wine to go with our order. Highly recommend,

Yelp
Have recently been loving coming to Cafe Meuse during the week for a glass or two of wine! The food here is great and makes for the perfect weeknight treat! Service is great and quick especially with the food! Also have gotten some great recommendations on reds here! I would say the best tip, especially with the weather getting warmer, would be to sit outside! There is great people watching and some dogs outside as well if you're lucky!

Yelp
This place has my fav vibes - very sparkly and cozy and nice :) !! We got the bubbles flight, but the other flights are also super nice deals and are def what we'll come back for. The bites also hit the spot - meatballs were tasty and we always love a fresh burrata crostini. Server was quick and attentive, and it was relatively spacious inside. parking is rough here but when is it not ! Overall would def return:)

Yelp
I've been to Cafe Meuse twice and both times I've enjoyed it. The wine selection is fantastic, the food is really good and reasonably priced, and the service is welcoming and friendly. I've been seated right away both times; the place is cute and cozy with warm lighting and there's quite a bit of seating at the bar and tables placed throughout the space, as well as tables to sit outside on a nice day. They also have good happy hour prices. Recommend if you're in the neighborhood looking for a delicious glass of vino.
google avatar

Clara M.

Yelp
Cafe Meuse was such a cute wine bar, and a perfect spot to meet up for a happy hour. They have $2 off their glasses of wine between 5PM and 7PM, which is not an amazing deal, but better than you will find in most of the city. We ordered a Kir Royale and a bottle of wine which was really delicious. The server was very sweet, and split the one Kir Royale between the two of us in two separate glass which I really appreciated, and didn't expect at all. The cafe is very cute, and had some beautiful decorations for the holidays. Definitely a place I'd like to return to.

Meg G.

Yelp
I've never left a wine bar in sf and thought "wow that was reasonably priced" but I came here for happy hour and was so pleasantly surprised!! I paid only $9 for a delicious riesling, the service was great, the outdoor seating is nice - there isn't much more I could ask for!
google avatar

Abigael K.

Yelp
This place has a great selection of very decently priced wines. You feel like you are sitting in a wine cellar inside and they also have nice outdoor tables. Their wine flights are awesome - very generous pours for a great price (it's basically three full glasses of wine). Highly recommend. If you want food, they also have a small menu.
google avatar

Yelp
Great wine and servers. We had a fabulous time here. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

Yelp
Easily my favorite wine spot in the city. Cafe Meuse is a intimate wine bar located right in the heart of Nob Hill. It is right next to the iconic trolley lines so it makes a great people watching spot. Service is always fast and friendly and I have never had to wait to be seated. Food: I have tried both a charcuterie board, a mac n cheese, and a rosemary creme brûlée. All items were a 5/5 and well priced. Wines: I have done both individual tastings as well as flights. There is a good selection to choose from and the staff or so nice and knowledgable in explaining everything. They are also really accommodating in swapping different wines out for something else. Overall: If you are in Nob Hill and looking for some wine, look no further. Just make your way down to Cafe Meuse.

Callie C.

Yelp
Sam and Adam gave us excellent service! We had reasonably priced champagne, well-sourced regional wines and delicious small plates of charcuterie, salmon and ahi tuna tartare! Definitely coming back!

Yelp
Cafe Meuse is a cozy local gem. It's also one of the very few wine bars in the neighborhood that's open on a Monday night. The atmosphere is very relaxed, it's the perfect place for a casual glass of wine with a small group. The service is friendly and attentive -- they even let us taste a few wines we were deciding between before we settled on what to drink. I didn't try any of the food, but they do have a pretty long list of small bites to choose from if you're hungry. Overall, it's a lovely spot to unwind and enjoy good wine.
google avatar

Bailey D.

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this perfect neighborhood gem. Excellent wine selection, tasty bites, and you really can't beat the setting. It's totally unpretentious, but also has twinkle lights and the cable cars passing by. It's the perfect spot for a date or a wine night with girlfriends.
google avatar

Albert Paris S.

Yelp
I was told to check out this place ever since I moved to the neighborhood, and it's truly become one of my fav spots for a weekday bite or to meet friends, catch up and not have to deal with tourists. The staff knows their wine and there's something for everyone in the menu. Make sure to order a flight of wines! The salads are great, the tuna tartar is awesome, both pasta dishes are delicious... but dear Mr Muse, just get rid of the quesadilla on the menu, it doesn't belong with the vibe and it's beyond bland. Aside from that, this is one of my fav spots in the area.
google avatar

Poonam M.

Yelp
I came across this place while searching for a wine happy hour spot, and I am glad that I found this place. It is a hidden gem. I ended up ordering two flights of red wine, all of which were amazing. Our server was very helpful in the selection process and went out of her way to provide us with wine that was off the menu. I also ordered a few food items to go with my wine selections. The spinach salad was one of my favorites, and my friend enjoyed the tomato soup we ordered twice. The soup also came with warm bread, which just gave the soup a little extra. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a chill spot to catch up with friends over a glass of wine. One cool thing about this place is you can take the cable car giving you that whole SF experience.

Yelp
I wanted some outdoor dining one Friday night after a rough week at the home office, and my friend Sam suggested Cafe Meuse, one of his favorite wine bars. Located in Nob Hill (some reviews say Russian Hill, but I think it's just a smidge closer to Nob Hill), get ready to walk up and down some hills to get there, but it will be worth it--I love the ambiance and vibe. It's a hidden gem among the hills and near the Hyde St cable car line! Sam was doing keto so he was limited in what he could order. I shared a mixed charcuterie board ($15), truffle mac n cheese, and burrata bruschetta with another friend and everything was filling and yummy. Sam got the combo plate ($21) which is described as assorted charcuterie with havarti & smoked gouda cheeses, olives, artichokes & crostini. The one complaint was that the bruschetta was gone too fast, and the truffle mac n cheese could've been bigger! I usually don't like truffles (not a fan of mushrooms) but added to something as homey and delicious as mac n cheese, I did not mind it at all! The charcuterie board is large and has quite a bit of pickles, and olives as well as prosciutto di parma, italian dry salami, hot coppa, sopressata, crostini, and cornichons. We also got some wine recommended to us by our server, and each paired perfectly with our shared small plates. This wine bar would be perfect for date night, girls' night, and any night. I will be back, and as it can be windy, I'll be back with a warmer jacket!

Yelp
Covid update: open for outdoor dining Still a quaint neighborhood wine bar for evening wine and small plates albeit sans the familiar sounds of the cable car for now. Friendly staff work hard to serve the expanded outdoor tables along the sidewalk. Not a parklet but still relaxed and decently comfortable. Enjoyed sharing small plates like the cheese plate, tuna tartare, and mac and cheese washed down with a bottle of cheval blanc. The chill of outdoor dining make hot dishes like the mac and cheese less appealing but highly enjoyed the tuna! With the sun setting later now, Cafe Meuse is a good spot to catch the last bit on sunshine with a glass or two.

Kamu P.

Yelp
Came here with a friend for drinks on a Friday evening and we were seated immediately at the bar. We were a bit hungry so we ordered a plate of bruschetta and a cheese plate in addition to sharing a flight of white wines - both were good but a bit overpriced. I'm not a huge wine expert so the bartender was really helpful in helping us pick a couple of lighter white wines that were all delicious! The crowd was definitely older and the overall vibe of the place was relaxed and cozy. I wouldn't go out of my way to return here but would definitely stop by again if I was in the area!
google avatar

Ana R.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this spot! Sat outside and the vibes were unmatched. Ordered a wine flight (2 reds and 2 whites) and a charcuterie board. Service was great too, they let me switch the type of cheese on the board and gave some good wine recommendations. Also fun place for dog watching - adds to the experience.

Yelp
Looking for a true corner spot In SF! Look no more. The food was Devine and the staff is lovely. Only wine and beer but that's all you need. Great music too! The staff was soo pleasant as well. I will be back! Love Knob Hill
google avatar

Allara U.

Yelp
Cute lil wine bar on Pacific! I stopped by to grab drinks with a friend one evening. We were easily able to grab a table and managed to sneak in a happy hour priced drink. They have a selection of food, but it's more for snacking than a full meal. The bruschetta we shared was great. Cafe Meuse has a casual cozy vibe that's really lovely -- I'll definitely come back.

Yelp
Quintessential neighborhood wine bar, in one of the best neighborhoods on the planet. Quiet, good seats on the outside. Prices are very fair; food is good. Wine selection is great. Eric hires well; Sam holds down the front of the house with ease, and all of the servers are attentive, professional, and totally down to earth. My go-to neighborhood spot in SF.
google avatar

LL I.

Yelp
I lovveee Cafe Meuse! The vibes are excellent, the food is delicious, and the service is welcoming. Such a good place for a chill time

Eugenia Bowman C.

Yelp
Walked in around 6:30 Friday and situated quickly at the charming and rustic neighborhood Hyde Street wine bar. Enjoyed very much the feel of the place and the selection of bar bites and wines. My husband and I each ordered a red wine flight, which we asked Sam the bartender to curate for us. He did a great job with our preferences. We ordered the meat balls, the bruschetta and sausage risotto. Fresh warm bread and an olive oil and balsamic glaze topped off a savory meal matched perfectly with the wines. We finished the evening with the luscious crème brûlée and a chilled Madeira. The staff were cordial and attentive and we wanted for nothing. We come to the area once a week or so and will definitely be back.

Yelp
Can't believe I stopped by here for the first time last week! I live in the neighborhood and was looking for a wine bar, preferably one that had a Happy Hour and Cafe Meuse came up. It's a quaint wine bar on the corner of Hyde and Pacific. The inside has some nice seats next to the window, but what's cool is that they have some outside seating where you can watch the trolley cars. During their happy hour, it's $2 off glasses of wine. On top of this, their cheese plate was really solid. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Debby W.

Yelp
Had a great time sitting at the bar Thu evening...tasted a number of wines (great selection!), large pours, vibrant ambience - local feel where the owners made you feel at home. Friend recommended Cafe Meuse (hadn't noticed it before) - I feel like it's one of those places you want to keep as your own secret local go-to gem.
google avatar

Kara N.

Yelp
This wine bar is the cutest little gem of Hyde street. I continue to have great experiences here. The pours are always plentiful and the food is fresh and made with love. Thank goodness for covid because they can probably seat MORE people now than they could inside the bar. So grateful they are now open Wednesday - Sunday!
google avatar

Nicole W.

Yelp
I've lived in the neighborhood for the last few years and have been to Cafe Meuse many times. It's a great no-fuss spot. I usually will get a flight of wine, always with a Vinho Verde. They are knowledgeable about their wine selection and give generous pours. I've been here for girls get togethers and always see couples on dates here! They're well priced and the spot is a great neighborhood gem in Russian Hill, close to Polk, but not too close! It's right off of the 12 bus line and the cable car line and has outdoor seating, which is perfect for those "summer" nights in Spring and Fall. As long as I live in this neighborhood, I will always come back
google avatar

Bill T.

Yelp
Had wine and dinner outside. We had had a big lunch so "dinner" consisted of the 4 of us sharing several different apps and small plates. Service was attentive. prices not bad for SF. lots of wine options and several different wine tasting options. beware a "taste" is what most places would call a full glass of wine. Food: ahi app (5*); buff ckn wings (5*), bread dipped in oil/ balsamic (5*), beef carpaccio (5*), charcuterie board (4*). Spent much of the evening here and it was very nice. will be back.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
I love this neighborhood wine bar! Staff is so friendly and service is great. Fantastic selection of wines and solid menu. I always have a fun time when I'm there!
google avatar

Tiffany D.

Yelp
It's a cozy wine bar in Nob Hill that features a wide selection of wine bottles and flights from the menu, to choose from! Opt to sit at the window front seating! It's nice to see the outside instead of fixating on the bar or each other, if you know what I mean. (There are options to linger to and from.) It's good to grab some side bites to compliment the bottle of wine. Their crostini, slices of fruits and cheese selections, is to delve into while drinking up the wine and doing the norm of chit chattering.
google avatar

Laurie K.

Yelp
The Hyde Street cable car chugs by as I walk into Café Meuse. The pale gold walls and twinkling lights give warmth to the small, but open wine bar. I had walked by this wine bar on my way to work many times and after getting on-line and seeing the wide array of whites they offered I had to check them out. I almost took a seat outside but I sat my butt down on a barstool and let my taste buds and brain go on a trip around Europe. My first stop is in Austria-home to Arnold Schwarzenegger and specialty chocolates but also to some delicious Gruner Veltliner. With hints of citrus, this bright and sharp white hit my palate with force and then lingers. I let the wine sit on my tongue and enjoy the ripe tartness on the finish. I have a long layover in Spain where I enjoy an Albarino with fruity aromatics and lovely floral notes.  It opens up on the second sip and I lingered in Spain for a bit longer as I contemplated how this well this would pair with a wedge of Spanish cheese or a seafood paella. My final stop is to France for a Boudreaux Blanc where I am greeted with a balanced and dry wine with notes of grapefruit and honey. The richest of the three, this wine can hold up to a leg of lamb or a hard cheddar. I dream of biking through a small French village on my way to the local bistro for a glass of this wonderful wine. This was no regular flight as the pours were VERY generous. So I  basically had three glasses FULL glasses of wine for $17. Not a bad deal, especially in San Francisco. I didn't get a chance to get a bite but I will be back to check out their cheese plate or potato leek soup. I have a feeling this will become one of my favorite spots on Hyde Street. If you like small, intimate wine bars this place might becomes yours too. Café Meuse at Pacific and Hyde in the Polk Gulch neighborhood.
google avatar

Julie G.

Yelp
Came across this hidden gem whilst walking back to our hotel. On the corner of Pacific Ave at Hyde in the Nob Hill/Russian Hill area. Couple of tables outside, small and intimate inside. Large bar and shelves stocked with wine. Seats at the bar and a few high tops. My kind of wine bar. Our waiter was lovely. She promptly handed us a menu and ordered the cheese plate with a big glass of red wine ahhh! Great cheese plate and reasonable price. So happy we stumbled across Cafe Meuse, A San Francisco Wine Bar. Loved it. High recommend a visit.
google avatar

Yelp
I cannot be More Pleasantly Surprised by My First Experience here. I Live Locally and have Been Eyeing Cafe Meuse. Wish the Hours were a bit different as I have tried going back with People a few times and they have been closed or having Private Parties.
google avatar

Megan L.

Yelp
This is my favorite local spot in Russian Hill. It's the cutest wine bar with a cozy, warm atmosphere that's great for date night or a solo glass (or three) after work. While their indoor dining has been closed due to COVID, they've taken to the streets (well, sidewalk) and have plenty of tables available outside. It can get a little chilly, so bring a sweater to sit outside and support your local business as it gets colder. Their wine is great, the prices (and generous pours) are even better, and the service is the best. I'm always greeted with a friendly smile, even through a mask, and a very full glass of wine. As for food: the burrata bruschetta is like nothing you've ever tasted, and the charcuterie plate is an I-don't-feel-like-cooking, snack-my-way-through-dinner kinda staple. I love this place so much, it's simply the best gem in town. Keep up the good work, you are a cornerstone business of this neighborhood!
google avatar

Kerry A.

Yelp
Updating my review in light of their COVID pick-up experience! I've tried Cafe Meuse pickup during this pandemic three times and every time, it's been fantastic. There are similar food options to their standard menu and they do a great job of keeping everything fresh and warm for you to enjoy at home. They are safe in their prep and pickup process (masks, only allowing one person in at once, etc...). Lastly, the deals on wine paired with food are incredible. Highly recommend the Burrata bruschetta! Open Fridays & Saturdays 3-8pm for pickup, call ahead.
google avatar

Melissa A.

Yelp
I love Café Meuse! I am not sure how they make all those delicious appetizers in their small kitchen but the food totally rules. Some of the wine by the glass can be a tad expensive but it's ok. It's often worth the cost to sit outside and watch the trolley cars go by. The owner is a little grumpy but he knows how to hire super nice service staff :)

Scott C.

Yelp
Great selection of wines by the glass!! Service was excellent, and the place has a cozy/ neighborhood vibe!! Will be back to try the food and more wines!
google avatar

Janice C.

Yelp
I don't care much for spiked grape juice these days, but Cafe Meuse is such a cute neighborhood spot, it's hard to resist going in and staying for a few. I like that it has a casual vibe, has a good selection of wines that's not too overpriced and is more quieter than Amelie on Polk st. Even though this wine bar doesn't have the sexy French guys pouring your drink, you can still count on the attractive locals that call it their second home. Happy hour is from 5pm - 7pm which means $2 off per glass! that's a big deal, since you can take your $2, walk over to Trader Joe's nearby and get your two buck chuck! (kidding!) I love my bubbly so I had their cremant brut rose and my gf decided to try their Kir Royale. Effervescent, light, happy. Three words you need on a Monday night. We were enjoying ourselves too much and each had a glass of Grüner Veltliner before heading home. When we got our bill, we were charged for a whole bottle. The staff was very apologetic, but make sure to double check your bill. I love walking around this neighborhood and will most definitely be back for happy hour again. Cheers.

Yelp
Cafe Meuse is the Perfect Neighborhood Wine Bar. Nice selection by the glass and bottle at reasonable prices. We met Friends for a glass of Champagne before dinner at Seven Hills, but have just as easily noshed on the nice variety of food offerings. I just wish Cafe Meuse was closer to my apartment!
google avatar

Brian S.

Yelp
Locals and visitors alike flock to this spot. Back when the cable car was running and the city was bustling, it'd be hard to find a spot at this place and it was always packed! Even now, Cafe Meuse is operating in these tough times with the same great wine menus, perfect light plates to pair, and an atmosphere of exactly what a wine bar should be in in the heart of San Francisco. The owner is always running about and all the staff are awesome. Must visit. They even have a killer happy hour daily (for wine and beer) though their prices are extremely fair for the area with generous pours and "light" plates that can arguably be entree sized platters.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing local wine bar vibe that completed my SF trip. Really, I think I just might want to return to Cafe Meuse when I return to SF. My travel friend and I discovered Cafe Meuse since we were looking for a local wine bar offering flights. We walked in, saw a table right by the window, was graciously greeted by two staff and waited only a few minutes for them to clean up the table to be seated. The cafe itself is intimate, a perfect place for a date, or to "wine down" with your friends over a nice glass or two. Loved how the cable cars passed by from time to time. My friend noticed how large the wine glasses were (oh, bless you SF! Step up your wine game, LA!) Our flights came with 3 glasses of our choice from the menu and the choices offered a wide selection.
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Cafe Meuse is a really cute wine bar and I am kind of sad that I only recently discovered it. It is right across the street from the awesome Seven Hills and that is how I found out about it. They have a great selection of wines, so if you are a wine lover you will definitely be able to find something that suits your palate. The server we had at our table was very knowledgable about the wines Cafe Meuse served and recommended a very nice pinot noir for me that I had never had before.

Kaira C.

Yelp
Adorable place to go to for an romantic evening the staff is eager to help & so nice. If you buy a whole bottle of wine you get it half off in the cafe.

Andy K.

Yelp
We went twice in a week and loved it . Very casual chill atmosphere with great service and reasonably priced selections. Great neighborhood feel to it . Go for the 4 glass flight ... great deal
google avatar

Evelyn C.

Yelp
Great service and the food smelled good. Good wine list as well. But something needs to be done about the fruit flies. There were four or five of them swarming around my table, so I moved to the bar...where a mosquito promptly landed on my arm and bit me. This is a super cute place and I really want to recommend it. But with the bug issue, I likely won't be coming back.
google avatar

Allie L.

Yelp
Super cute little wine bar that makes you feel like you've possibly transported to some place in Europe. Good spot for a date, catchup sesh with girlfriends, or a low-key hang out. Extensive wine menu with cheese/charcuterie and more to pair. Bar and table seating. I can't imagine that this place gets super packed - we were here on a Friday around 8 and there were still plenty of seats open. Come to enjoy and appreciate good wine, paired with good conversation in a comfortable environment.
google avatar

Christine X.

Yelp
Adorable wine bar. Happy hour deals: $2 off wine and $4 draft beers. Great ambience and menu looks delicious (bruschetta, cheese boards, olives, etc.) but my party had just eaten and did not get to try anything out. Good wine selection and perfect atmosphere for chatting with friends either at the bar or at a table. Seats outside too, which would be nice on a sunny day!
google avatar

Emmy Q.

Yelp
I've been here so many times that I'm long overdue to write this review! This is my absolute favorite neighborhood wine bar. The setting is intimate, lively, and inviting - the perfect place to meet friends for a very reasonably priced flight and plate of burrata. They like to pour full glasses of wine for the flights, so you're definitely getting your money's worth! Meuse is constantly switching up wines on their menu, which can be good and bad (if you're hooked on a wine!). My favorite wine on the menu is the Runquist Propriety Blend - a big, earthy red. The location is amazing! Nothing better than getting a glass of wine on Hyde before heading out dinner.

Seini M.

Yelp
Service was attentive and super friendly. We had a big group and it's sort of a small space but the waitress combined tables around. Great selection of wine and a low key ambiance, would come again.

Rachel L.

Yelp
This place has so much potential and is very nice ambiance wise. Unfortunately tonight I witnessed a waitress drop a dish at the wrong table, leave, come back, take the food back and redeliver it to the correct table. I didn't see if the dish was touched, but it might have been as the first table it was dropped at offered to keep it and even unrolled their silverware. Please don't do this. Even without COVID, this is a big no-no. I had considered staying longer but left after that. Way too expensive a meal for that kind of thing.
