Caribbean Curry House Heads to the West Island, and Four Other Montreal Restaurant Expansions to Know About | Eater Montreal

"With one successful expansion already in Laval, I’m told St-Léonard’s beloved Café Milano—the espresso and Italian panini peddler—is expected to open a third location in the West Island by the end of the year at 46 Brunswick Boulevard in Pointe-Claire." - Valerie Silva

Was very dissatisfied to get my latte in a 1$ beer glass. The milk was also steamed more like a cappuccino than a proper latte. I cannot rate higher when the store does not provide with proper cups or train baristas. I think 3 stars is high for a Cafe serving like this. But the croissant was done well, so maybe this place focuses more on food than coffee. As far as a coffee shop atmosphere. Seemed more like a big restaurant looking to seat big numbers rather than a comfy or cool coffee shop.

⭐ Milano Café – West Island⭐ We’ve visited Milano Café several times, and it has quickly become one of our favorite spots in the West Island. It’s a charming café with a fantastic variety of sweet and savory options — everything from pastries to light bites, all beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. The coffee is excellent, always fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy something tasty, and feel completely comfortable. The service is consistently good as well. Staff members are friendly, attentive, and make you feel welcome every time you walk in. We genuinely enjoy coming here and highly recommend Milano Café to anyone looking for a cozy, delicious, and reliable spot in the West Island.

The fries and onion rings were so delicious, some of the best I’ve ever had. But the sandwich was so sad and disappointing. Barely any meat, the veggies were thrown in however, nothing about it was good. The cannoli was just ok, on the bitter side over sweet. The service was slow, I felt like the staff talked a lot between each other instead of being present on the job. I didn’t like the service at the counter all that much, no smiles no kindness. The decor and atmosphere itself is nice. Feels like an old school Italian cafe where everyone comes together to drink and eat and hang out. Overall this meal was 50$ for 2 sandwiches fried onion rings and a cannoli. I wouldn’t order the sandwiches or cannoli again but I would definitely go back for the entrees and to try the ginormous chocolate chip cookie.

I had to do some personal stuff, so I decided to go for a coffee and croissant. It was early in the morning, but the barista was super kind and helpful when I asked wi-fi ‘s name and password. The coffee and croissant also was very delicious and atmosphere was super cool! Highly recommended!

Great café, this was the first time and won't be the last. The atmosphere was really nice, the decors and most of all their food and coffee ☕️ had the special Milano poutine with steak, pretty good for it's price, portion wasn't that big though. Had one of the best café Moka I'd say my top 3 in my whole life. It was pretty strong coffee and chocolatey flavors punching on my face and it had balanced out sweetness. Cute heart on top of the Moka was a plus. Also had the cheesecake with a hint of lemon, it was actually really good with the coffee and also an Nutella pastry which was going well with the Moka. Prices are reasonable overall only downside was the portion of the poutine, but quality was there, the steak on top were amazing. Thank you café Milano. PS: It's awesome that after buying you give out your name and while they are preparing your order, you can just sit anywhere and they call out your name to give your order to your table. Pretty nice.

I was my first time at a Milano's location and I think I went on the worst day possible, at lunch time on a Sunday. I honestly haven't tried their food yet because there is no reason for why you would want to sit inside there. It is honestly so overwhelming, very tight spacing filled with people. You order at the counter and if you're dining in, good luck to find a seat. If you manage to get a seat keep your ears open to the servers going around calling your name with your order in their hands. And don't make the person with a common name give their name for the order as it can easily lead to confusion. I honestly think they need a better system to serving the people dinning in since it feels quite chaotic. The best part of Milano is their mini cannoli.

Nice Italian type coffee shop in Montreal West Island. Great place for a delicious coffee of your choice with an Italian pastry. They also have side dishes, sandwiches and some alcoholic drinks. There also a small terrace available but not sure if they extend it to the parking lot in the summer. Plenty of room inside though.
