London’s New Restaurant Openings - London - The Infatuation

"We think about the cacio e pepe gnocchi we once had at Cafe Murano in Covent Garden often. So it’s welcome news that Angela Hartnett is continuing her central London domination by opening another Italian restaurant, this time in Marylebone. This will be the first location to serve breakfast, but things will be very similar to the original at dinner." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

Cafe Murano Marylebone - Review - Marylebone - London - The Infatuation

"There are a few of Angela Hartnett's Cafe Murano restaurants dotted about London, but this Marylebone outpost is the first to serve breakfast. Expect a similarly Italian-leaning menu at dinner, though, with gnocchi and pasta. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists. RESERVE A TABLE" - Sinéad Cranna

Went for the soft opening. We were seated at the back room. It was quiet at first so we didn't mind, but it quickly got very noisy especially when this very loud woman came. The waitress was very cheerful and helpful. Food was not as good as I expected. It was still good but not special for the price. The best dish we had was the octopus. The whole restaurant could do with some sound acoustic treatment because it was quite loud and echoey.

Thank you for an amazing experience! We visited the restaurant yesterday and had a wonderful time. The decor was beautiful, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our waitress , Anna, was professional, friendly, and made us feel truly looked after. Everything was perfect. Thank you again for taking such great care of us!

Yet again a great evening at this fine restaurant. A very warm welcome from the experienced Antonio and superb service from Josh and Elpee. The food was sure-footed and outstanding. Not cheap at £200 for 2 but worth every penny. A great success and a very welcome addition to Marylebone.

We booked for lunch here on Thursday. What a treat. The new location is on a quiet corner plot and is beautifully decorated offering a light and calming atmosphere. The staff were all welcoming and knowledgeable. We were even lucky enough to see Angela as she walked past with one of her team, clearly investing her time in the new restaurant. The food was excellent especially the linguine with red mullet which was stunning. Good luck to all the new team for this latest Cafe Murano.

I visited with two friends. For starters I had a mozzarella and water melon rind in, like a, soup which was served cold. This was a bit strange to me.. For main course I had the veal which was a very generous serving and quite exquisite. The wine by the carafe went down well! The service was good and atmosphere warm.
