Cafe Myriade

They have a Kees van der Westen espresso machine. If you know, you know. If you don't know, it's like an $80k European hand made top of the line machine in one of the only cafes I've seen actually use one. And it makes real, real, good coffee. Their local roasts are also very nice. Good place 👍

I visited Café Myriade for the first time and had a latte with a croissant both were excellent! The latte was smooth and well-balanced, and the croissant was fresh and delicious. The store itself has a nice atmosphere, and the customer service was amazing very friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed my first experience here and will definitely come back.

We came here every morning for the three days we were in town. The staff made us feel like we were regulars from ages. From the pastries to the drinks, everything was the best quality. They have a wonderful neighbourhood presence. Given some circumstances with the hotel we were staying at, my friend wanted to get pastries for the hotel staff. When the cafe staff found out, they contributed extra in consideration. A must stop visit if you’re nearby.

A good local coffee shop. The coffee itself was fine, good but not outstanding. The pastries were nice though a touch dry. Overall if you're in the area it's a decent choice.

This was my favorite cold brew in Montreal. It had a fruitiness that had more depth than most of them and was really nice on a hot day. Normally I am drawn towards Brazilian and Columbian beens but these Ethiopien beens were great. The padio area has nice greenery, light and comfortable wood seating and enough space for different group sizes. Even with how hot it was outside it was actually hotter inside. That was my only real compaint and I dont know how the workers work in that heat all day. I would have been grumpy if I had but they were friendly and quick and even took some time to tell me about their cold brew process. Overall great spot.

Very busy even the morning which is fine bc I thought it meant it’s gonna be good but I found the guy at the cash a bit rude. Even after repeating my order twice he got it wrong so a little disappointing but I still was willing to try. For the price i paid the portion is very small so would recommend other places around the area.

Consistently good coffee here regardless of what I ordered in a week in Montreal -- bright, well-balanced, and fruity. Loved how alive the cafe felt at almost all times of the day too, with people grabbing breakfast with friends, reading a book by the patio, or just grabbing coffee between work. If I were to live in Montreal, this would be an institution I'd be a regular at just to be cozy, people-watch and work over a cup of coffee and a croissant.

Stopped in later in the day for a cappuccino -- small but really tasty. Pastry selection was limited at that hour, but the donut and roll I tried were both good. The inside space is tiny, with just a few seats, and while there's a patio, it's not much use once it gets cold. Still, a solid coffee stop if you're downtown and don't mind cozy quarters.

This spot was better than a lot of places that I've hit up in the city. It's got a chill and cozy vibe. I got a cafe au lait and an apple bar. It wasn't crowded like all the other hipster places that I went to.

Montreal cafes are another level. So many great options and Myriad is definitely one of them! During our visit we decided to visit this cafe that is also a micro roaster. Their drinks were strong and creamy. Make sure you stop by one of the Myriad cafes during your Montreal visit!

Swung by Cafe Myriade to catch up with a friend. We ordered the regular latte and they were good. The service was fast. They have lots of seating both inside and outside but the tables seemed to be a bit too cramped. The cafe was relatively clean and was bustling with people trying to finish work or just catch up with friends. The location is right in the heart of downtown so that's convenient.

Very cute cafe in a really nice neighborhood! I had a vanilla latte - the drink presentation was beautiful - however the espresso beans they use are a little too mild-and fruity for my tastes. The service was very friendly! Last strange thing was there is no menu!

Needed my morning coffee so we Bixied over to Cafe Myriade on a busy late Saturday morning. Tried one of their drink specials, lavender latte ($5.00), and subbed for oat milk ($0.43 extra), which is much cheaper than Vancouver. Prominent lavender flavour but not overwhelming. Would come back again to CM.

Cozy, little cafe. Came here on a snowy day to find it packed. We shared a cheese croissant and a crossiant roll. Both were soft and flakey. They had a nice variety. Service was quick. One, small gender neutral restroom.

Cafe Myriade is one of Montreal's first indie coffee shops, opening back in 2008. I've biked by a million times but this was our first visit. They have four other locations (downtown (inside of Club Monaco), Plateau, Mont-Royal and Westmount). We dropped in on a busy Saturday (around 11:00am). There's plenty of seating inside and out, but most people were enjoying their coffees on the terrasse. They have a small selection of pastries (believe most are made in-house except the croissants are from Hof Kelsten). Coffee beans are from 49th Parallel Roasters. While we were there, I spotted Rajeev Ram (currently ranked #2 in men's tennis doubles) waiting in line. No one blinked an eye. - Lavender latte ($5.00) - one of their specials of the day. Latte was smooth, lavender nicely balanced. We enjoyed tasting the lavender as most places are usually too weak. Would return to try more of CM's offerings.

Having travelled in North America and tasted coffee and lattes at so many places, myriade is by far the top # 1 best coffee shop on my list. Crushes franchises like Starbucks and others big time. That said prices at Myriade are on par with big franchises but that's fine as the quality of their coffee is A+. Can't wait to visit montreal again to get my morning latte from there everyday!

Incredible customer service, which was especially nice because it was our first night in town. The cortado was a work of art and so was the hot chocolate. Very nice vibe - the type of place you take a first date. I'm looking forward to going back.

We were staying literally the next building so this place was always an emergency staple to have around. It's always packed with people but the place is super cute and inviting. Service is slow during peak times (early morning, late lunch) feels like the folks who go here are so regular cause the servers literally chat with everyone. I don't know about food, but their coffee always slaps.

Best caramel almond marzipan croissants ever! The Kouign Amann was also tasty. The baristas are kind and make a pretty good cappuccino as well! The atmosphere was tranquil and the breeze (and the bees!) from the outside made it a good café spot. I think I visited every day during my stay in Montréal.

Cute little cafe with killer coffee. Their cortado was just perfect, but too strong and perfectly balanced. The staff were friendly and helped with the menu. Seating is limited, but some outdoor spots are available as well. Might be the best coffee in Montreal.

Great coffee shop nearby Musee des Beaux-arts. The croissant is really good compared to some other cafe in town. I ordered their ginger lemon tea and was surprised by the actual lemon juice in there and not just lemon flavour. It tastes quite superior than a typical lemon tea! Space is a bit small and you have ppl stay there to study. There are outside seatings too if you don't mind the cold in the winter.

Just came back from that charming little place for breakfast where I got me some butter croissants which were pretty good but a bit overcooked and too dark in my opinion. Staff were very friendly and super sweet for real . One thing I did love was the dark chocolate dip that I bought aside my croissants and I did love how that does give a little extra oooomf to their croissants . But be warned the place is really small . Also sad that when I went they were out of Chocolatines . But overall do recommend this place

I don't go to this cafe often so the review might change once I get a better feel of the place. It's busy since it's near Concordia but they don't have much seating. The menu is small, it's really more for drinks to go or maybe drink leisurely and write an essay kind of place. I visited to talk with a friend and it wasn't that great because it took some time to get a seat and they forgot her drink. I got a simple hot chocolate and it was $5, which I found a bit much since it wasn't anything special.

Great spot for a quick coffee to-go to take to the parks nearby or to have while walking/exploring the area. They have great seating as well. Customer Service 10/10 Coffee 9/10

Great little café just off Maisonneuve serving great coffee and delicious baked goods. There's not much space inside, maybe 4 or 5 tables, but it's a great place to stop for some coffee and a croissant on your way to the Musée des Beaux Arts. Do yourself a favour and order an espresso here if you can't decide.

When in Montreal, one must occasionally stop for coffee, a pastry, and just enjoy their existence. One of the places we decided to do this in was at Cafe Myriade. I ordered a Flat White, and my fiancee had a chai latte. We then sat outside, enjoyed it, and gave our legs a break from our touring of Montreal. Both coffees came to about $8. I'd visit again or one of their other locations.

Having recently come back from Melbourne, Australia - who has an off the hook coffee culture - my expectations were very high for this place. It didn't disappoint. It was late afternoon so I ordered a chai latte and it was made reasonably quickly and was delicious. Only downside was the lack of seating available (people were rudely tabling up excess/unused space) when I was there so I had to take it on the go rather than enjoy the atmosphere and people watching.

Hands down one of the best coffees I've ever had. I also had their matcha and strawberry croissant which was heaven in a pastry!

Visiting Montreal and stay in that area for 3 days and had to visit every morning. Great vibes and service!

A perfect spot for coffee drinkers in Montreal. Saturday morning before 10am the outdoor seating area was packed with diverse groups chatting and shipping coffee. The music was a vibe - found myself dancing in place to the amusement of a 5 year old dining with his parents. The barista was friendly and courteous. She made me the perfect latte. Thanks! I will certainly be back.

I am basing my rating on the quality of the cappuccino I had at this place, it was perfect on taste and texture. I usually don't pay too much attention to the service, since I'm willing to be mistreated as far as I get a good coffee, I will just say they are not going to get the best service award this year. Their baking is also unimpressive, unless pale kouign amanns are a thing in Montreal. But hey, great coffee!

Great little coffee shop with fresh pastries and strong coffee. Several small tables so not much space on the shop. A small menu but perfect for sinplicity. Can buy bagged coffee and they habe the best apple pastries and cheese scones!

Coffee doesn't make sense how good it is.... Best I have had! The muffin wasn't good tbh, and bakers wasn't that appealing, but the coffee makes up for it

We only stopped there for 10 minutes, but it was very pleasant. The wooden interior of Café Myriade makes the place look cozy and welcoming. The name of the coffeeshop alone is attractive - "myriade" is such a pretty, poetic word... The weather was beautiful and all the doors/windows of the coffeeshop were open. The sunbathed terrasse was full. We went for latte, which was excellent.

Although I went to school nearby this cafe, I have never been! Recently went here with the bf since we were in the area - and omg we're glad we did! It's a super cute cafe inside (outside no offense doesn't look too inviting lol) and their coffee is great! We ordered a cortado and a filter coffee (I usually take black) and the quality of the coffee and preparation taste really good! Well balanced, temperature was on point and the barista was very nice too. Definitely recommend if you're a coffee drinker!

You could honestly miss this cafe. It's right by the engineer building of Concordia right along all the small shops. This little cafe was insanely busy! There were huge lineups but everyone was being served quickly. You have the choice of eating or out. The menu is against the wall. They do have milk substitutes and some goodies. The staff is very kind, quick and artistic when it comes to their coffee designs. There are many customized products on sale on shelves and they also sell coffees. I found their products to be quite expensive but if you come in regularly to a buy a coffee for $3 might as well get a $16 coffee bag? I ordered an almond milk mocha which I didn't like because I found it too sweet. I did finish it but I wouldn't order that again. Also like most cafes, you get charged extra for milk substitutes. Unfortunately I think that's a little sad because if you don't charge someone for having cream over milk then you shouldn't charge someone for almond/soy milk. Unless it's a freshly made milk derivative I understand about the extra Fees. I feel the same with all coffee shops I just happen to point it out here because they charged $0.65 +tx for almond milk. I found it a hefty charge. Would I go back? Yesss! I definitely want to try their other coffees and pastries.

Great, well-lit spot to enjoy a latte and a croissant. Only caveat is that it's expensive and not very big if you want to snag a spot to sit.

Before leaving Montreal, I just had to stop at a cafe for a mocha. Seeing the deep French influence on this city, I figures their coffee house culture is on par with the cafes in Europe. After consulting my Yelp app, I decided to come to this cafe. Parking was found on the street, and not an issue to find. The front of the building was under construction, but the cafe was open and full of life. Fortunately, the line was not long at all, and I got my order through in no time. I ordered a mocha, and waited less than five minutes to receive it. The mocha tasted delightful, and it gave me the energy I needed to begin my long drive to Portland, Maine. The staff was friendly, and the ambient was very relaxed. I would recommend this place for sure.

I moved here from California, but before that I lived in Seattle Washington. My friend is also originally from Seattle and moved to California as well, about a year after me. She then proceeded to move to Montreal for school after I had done so. She's a painter. We were talking about sexual politics the other day and Cafe Myriad came up. We enjoy it here. From the dark wood furnishing and the staff who seem to have only two modes of personality, oversassy or overfriendly, the emergent ambience is somehow the perfect balance of calm and engaging. My friend pointed out that we probably like the place so much because it reminds us of home. Specifically, a cafe on Pike street in the Capitol Hill district of Seattle, Cafe Vita. Cafe Vita was cozy, if not a little too dimly lit. It's a Seattle classic. Regardless of the season Seattleites pack in and sit with their legs crossed on wooden chairs each with their own copy of The Stranger, the city's most emblematic newspaper. The coffee at Vita was too dark. It tasted bitter and burnt. This may have been intentional. I can imagine confiding in a cup of burnt breadcrumbs soaked in 2 day old black tea might not be the worst thing for the sadistic soul of an ex Sub Pop employee who has year after year withstood the slow rot of 9 month winters where the cloud bank is so thick that not even the most vivacious of the sun's rays can get through. But for me, it was too dark. The coffee is much better here at Myriad. It is also well-lit here which I appreciate. I'd give Vita 3 stars.

Tried many cafe latte and this is the best. I usually go there twice per week. Location wise for me is convenient since it is beside my home.

Cafe Myriade is a cute little coffee shop serving 49th Parallel Coffee. Coming here with high expectation and was a little disappointed! Both Americano and Cappuccino we ordered were both overly fruity to even sour. The search of a great cup of espresso drink continues....maybe I just stuck to drinking beers!

Expensive and not good coffee. As a tourist, I really had high hopes of drinking some delicious coffee in Montréal but it's been disappointing. The young lady who took our order was pleasant. We ordered two filtered coffees. Nothing special and it was about $10-11. A large isn't a large by American standards. I'm a coffee snob and this missed the mark for me.

Great coffee, unpleasant staff.. You would think that a "Thank you very much" might merit more of a response than being coldly ignored by the barista but this has been my experience on numerous occasions. It is for this reason that I am only giving what once was my favourite café a paltry review. When I go to a café it is to interact - albeit briefly - with the people there and to come out of the establishment, delicious coffee in hand and feeling that there is hope for the coming day. What I do not go to a café for is to leave the place feeling worse than when I walked in. I understand that people have bad days, I have my own share of those to report, but when bad service occurs at every single transaction I have to conclude that I am not welcome there - and that truly breaks my heart.

Came here as a traveller to get some work done on vacation, stumbled upon it through random yelping; really nice place, good coffee, and good music PROS: * smooth coffee, has milk options and non coffee drinks and food items * has brewing items, coffee, syrups for sale * trendy light box menu * coat hooks for a homey feel! * big space * really clean bathrooms! * OUTLETS UNDER LONG TABLES this is a big move for laptop workers * beautiful latte art * not outrageous prices * cool business cards from instagram pics with the Cafe Myriade geotag! CONS: * limited seating: 2 big tables (preferable for working), 3-4 little/low tables (pref for meeting) and 2 bar type seating situations * not a ton of choices coffee wise, but has all the classics * OVERALL: This is a great coffee place for a grab and go or if you need a place to meet someone or get some light work done with background noise. I will definitely be back!

If you want coffee to go, this is the right spot with great blends. If you wantvto meet someone for a talk or to sot a work, this is bot the smatest choice since it has around 7 tables (indoor) which tends to fill up quickly. Further more the place is very small and feels very crowded. They do have a nice terrace which I guess is amazing during the summer. Bittom line good coffe but only reccomanded for takeout.

I ordered coffee with milk, it was really well-made! Their caramel brownie was suuuper moist, I enjoyed each and every bite of it. Place is small and simple, but still cute. The terrasse is nice, and it's not on a busy street so it's not too noisy. Too bad it was all full, but the inside is nice still! Can't go wrong with exposed brick walls. I pretty much had the inside all to myself since everyone was outside :P. Service was very accommodating, they watched my things while I had to use the bathroom. Will come again!

I got a lavender latte and was so impressed by the richness of the flavor. Sometimes lavender syrups can be too sweet and floral, but this paired with oat milk was absolutely perfect. My drink did get taken by others at the bar twice but the barista was apologetic and remade it quickly.

I love that they have Bernie Beignes. I tried the chai latte and it was good. There's no other food besides donuts.

A very simple room with a counter in the back corner, and a little bit of seating. The prices are fair and they had an espresso of the day for a good price. The taste was a little bitter, but had a unique nutty flavour to it; so was worth a try. Not my favourite, but nice they mix it up. Was able to secure a table away from the door; which tends to open often. They seem to do a nice little takeout business, as you might imagine...being adjacent to a large Concordia University building. Ie. Handy for students. They have a small but adequate selection of pastries, but not much more on the food side that I could see. With three locations, it's still not a big chain and that was what I was looking for, plus above average coffee.

It's a cute spot to sit down for a coffee break. The raspberry pistachio delicatessen so blend of sweet and sour. It was just lovely. Cappuccino was slightly strong for my taste, a little drop of sugar, makes it all sweet.

If you are in St Catherine and looking for a nice cafe latte you should grab your coffee from Myriad.

I've been meaning to visit Cafe Myriade for some time and had some time kill before a get together. Went in for some coffee at 6 PM and this place was paaaaaacked. There's something about coffee shops that feel more like a lounge I distinctively dislike. I like enjoying my coffee as quietly as possible, perhaps with a soft conversation with someone else. This place was packed with students, some of which that were studying in this chaos? (but how) and the rest were in full lounge mode in groups having loud enthusiastic conversations. The place is pretty loud and after a few minutes, I had to bail out. I went with their cappuccino and it was nicely presented. Cute coffee art. However, the coffee was luke-warm. I prefer my coffee hot! I guess this was a way to try to get people to drink their coffee and go... guess that wasn't working for them so well. The coffee is new age and tastes different than what I'm used to. It's a bit more acidic than I'd like my coffee to be. This required me to add a bit more milk and sugar to make it enjoyable. Price-tag was a little high for what it is and the barista was happily applying her trade humming to the ongoing music. All is all, this place is kind-of a mixed bag for me. Ideally, this is for take-out. Order coffee to go when this place feels too crowded. Not sure I'd be back though, there's nicer options for me in the area.
