11 Refreshingly Family-Friendly Restaurants in Seattle

"The downtown Nordstrom has a few different restaurants, but the sleek top-floor bistro, Café Nordstrom, is specifically designed to accommodate shopping families, with super-fast counter service, coloring pages, high chairs, a kids’ menu, and lots of room for strollers. The salads, pizzas, and pastas are made to order and reliably beautiful, and the tomato soup and grilled cheese combo is an established kid fave." - Eater Staff, Meg van Huygen, Harry Cheadle

I have been coming here for years with my girlfriends getting the same thing every time we come, Cilatro Lime Salad with Shrimp. In the summertime it is the most refreshing lunch you can have. And of course I have to top it off with their delicious Chocolate Chip Cookie! It’s relative quiet place so you can converse and the service is always great with friendly wait staff.

Google
It is a restaurant in a Nordstrom and it met my expectations. Food was okay at best, but the space was clean and quiet. Overall a nice place to recover from other activities. Wine and beer selections were pleasantly varied too.

Google
What a hidden treasure of a cafe. In a loud, busy city this felt like a retreat. We were served so very quickly as we requested rush due to need to catch the last train on time. The food was unexpectedly marvelous! Crab bisque, avocado toast, tomato soup, salads, burrata bruschetta were delivered within minutes and were a pleasure to eat! The burrata (caprese) bruschetta may have been the best I've ever eaten. Try it!

We've gone to Cafe Nordstrom for years now. You can always count on the consistency of their flavors. The service is quick with good quality. You can never go wrong with the tomatoes basil soup or any of their delicious salad or pasta dishes. Don't forget to add a tip for your wait staff since you order and pay before taking a seat where the waiter will bring your drinks and food. They are always very kind and it's a perfect place for lunch with adults or your kids. Local favorite.

Love all menu items! Salads have no equal in Seattle. Great French Dip, too. Wish tuna and chicken salad sandwiches were added back. Super in '80s.

Whoever thought to put a cafe in Nordstrom is very clever for two reasons. Number one it creates an excuse to enter Nordstrom for a quick bite to eat. Number two if you’re already shopping in Nordstrom it makes it so easy to stay longer. The food is yummy and comes out quickly. I’ve tried a few things - the salmon, clam chowder. Tomato soup, and Caesar salad. All were good. Prices are fair, perhaps a pinch high due to the location. Overall, it’s a satisfying experience.

Very good place. Sharable portions and great prices. My favorite is chicken salad and all sandwiches are pretty good. Their menu is little bit different than other Nordstorm Cafe but its also good.

Google
I ordered Santa Fe Chicken Panini which is one favorite menu at the Cafe or Marketplace Cafe at Nordstrom. But when I received my pick up order from downtown Nordstrom today, the Shrimp Pomodoro and the Santa Fe sandwich, there was no avocado at all, hardly any caramelized onions. I have been an ICON member forever and this was the worst food order I have received from any Nordstrom restaurant. So disappointed.

Yelp
So far tonight will be my our third time here this week and it's Monday. Brunch was surprisingly really good and was not cheap or expensive at 70$ for two brunch plates and two mimosas. I always say that the Nordstrom Cafe's are hidden gems because that's what they really are. The pastries and desserts are all crowd pleasers and made me look good as if I had Nordstrom taste so I took my date back for dinner to check out the grill on the metro level (cafe is on the fourth or fifth level). The grill was delicious and the complimentary bread/pesto sauce was on point. They have barqs root beer so plus ten points. Although, the ambience and vibe of the grille is berry different than the cafe (more modern/open) compared to the grill (outdated and some fung shway-g needed) but overall I can still recommend but you may have a better date at Purple and stick to Nordstrom cafe and not the grille for a lunch or casual dinner since they close at 7 and the cafe is better than the grille for that they don't have a serious commitment with a waiter other than they grab your drinks and deliver your food after your order and pay in front. Check out the bar on the 3rd floor and then be sure to check out the restrooms on the top level they are private and no one uses them and they are bother free guarantee with is rare thing in downtown Seattle. Overall this Nordstrom delivers although they are lacking an outside patio with a view which I have grown spoiled to with my home Nordstrom.

Yelp
Was in Seattle in early November of last year for our anniversary weekend with the wifey! Finally got to hit up the cafe in Nordstrom!! Didn't get to make reservations, but luckily it was just before the lunch rush and we managed to get a small table for 2. Yes! Lots of chatter already in the restaurant, but our waitress was lovely & quick with the service! We ordered: -Brussels Sprouts Frite ($10.25) -Prime French Dip ($19.25) -Nordstrom Burger ($18.00) And coffee! Somehow their standard hot cup of coffee was really good! And we were in the land of Starbucks LOL! Food did take some time to come out, maybe a bit over 20 minutes. But when it did, it was all nice and hot! The Brussels Sprouts Frite were super tasty with some spiced cashews and a burst of lemon. Cooked right with that lovely char on the edges! Wifey's Prime French Dip was unctuous, soft certified angus, crunchy baguette, and the flavorful au jus! I even forgot to take a pic HA! The Nordstrom Burger was a classic - juicy beef, sharp cheddar, and fresh veg all on a properly toasted artisan bun! Nice tang from the roasted garlic aioli too! Oh and those fries were so light! My only gripe about the Cafe Nordstrom is it's a tad pricey! Really givin' me those Cheesecake Factory vibes! Only thing about this cafe, is that right across the way from my cheeseburger is the men's clothing and shoes! What a view LOL! I'd visit Cafe Nordstrom again sure, but maybe with a coupon next time? Ha ha ha!

Yelp
I used to love coming to eat at the Cafè but last week it was pretty disappointing.. The service was good, server was really kind & attentive. Ordered the filet mignon & it had no flavor at all. They didn't have any steak sauce so I tried eating it with ketchup but it was so bad I couldn't even do it. The spinach that came with it was very soggy and also lacked flavor. The caesar salad was very good and fresh, the artichoke dip was good as well. When we first sat in the back it was very quiet & relaxing, no view as the windows face other high rises but I enjoyed looking out. Right before the food came it got crazy loud in the section because a large group of ladies came, and a family that was arguing. We ended up moving, our waitress was super sweet about it. Nothing anyone can do it would have been find if the family wasn't arguing haha. Overall it was just a mediocre experience, probably won't come back to this Nordstrom Cafè location. 3/5 for me .. the food in my opinion is only a 2/5 but the service was 5/5 so I decided on 3 star rating

Yelp
A bit pricey but the food is good quality and the service is good. The cashiers are always friendly and helpful. My particular waitress wasn't super attentive or overly friendly during my latest meal. I was there during lunch and she may have left me alone since I was completing some work things so I don't blame her. I headed there for their special Black History Month entree. It was a creole chicken and okra dish, created by Seattle Communion's chef Kristi Brown. The chicken was seasoned well and I enjoyed how tender and juicy it was. It paired well with the okra. It all laid on top of a hoe cake, that I found too sweet for my liking. The firstly edges were a great texture add though. Give it a try before the month ends!

Yelp
Waited 30 min for a food to arrive. After it arrive my couscous and salmon was partially warm and partially cold. I sent it back only to have the server come back with same plate of food telling us that it is supposed to warm in some parts and cold in other parts of the dish. no apologies from the server. Dismal customer service. Nordstrom is going down fast.

Yelp
Service is very bad! Terrible attitude towards people, waited a very long time and the employees did not pay attention
google avatar

Kristin P.

Yelp
Wanted to try the food here for a long time - the staff was friendly and attentive. It isn't super intuitive that you order at the cashier and then a server will come pick up the ticket and deliver it all. Food was good, but my one complaint was that the shrimp on my salad still had some shell on it and one or two weren't deveined.

Yelp
I love Nordstrom Cafe and it used to be my go to spot for a quick lunch when I worked nearby or was shopping. My mom and I popped in for an early lunch a few weeks ago and damn, things have changed. Service was incredibly slow considering the restaurant was nearly empty on a Monday and my favorite arugula shrimp and polenta salad is now a jaw dropping $22. Insane. Everything still tastes great and the tomato bisque is still some of the best around, but they really need to pick up the pace a bit.
google avatar

Nooshi B.

Yelp
Cafe Nordstrom serves up tasty, fresh options when you want a bite to eat while shopping. My friend and I split the Nicoise Salad and it hit the spot! The dressing was actually one of the best things I've tasted in quite some time. The salmon was a tad dry, but wasn't a big deal. The portion was more than enough for one person and the salad was full of potatoes, tomatoes, hard boiled egg, green beans and onions. Service was great and the little chocolates they bring at the end of the meal are so good.

Yelp
Yes!! I have missed the Nordstrom Cafe after moving away from malls. The food is always good and the staff incredibly friendly. Its an easy process of ordering at the counter, they have menus there! You will get a number and take a seat wherever you like! I would suggest the window seats in the back. A waiter/waitress will arrive and proceed as if in a restaurant. Its quick and easy, while relaxing after shopping. I always get the tomato soup and caesar salad! This is a better alternative to the other two food places in Nordstrom in my opinion.

Yelp
Passed by while shopping one day and decided I'd come back to try it. It gives a very "ladies who lunch" vibe, and sometimes, that's exactly what a gal needs! Food/drinks: The twist on a Niçoise salad was delicious, filling, and large! Salmon was cooked just right with a delicious herb sauce on top. Nice presentation and good tea selection too. Service: It's self service meets table service. You wait in line to order, take your receipt and choose a table, and then someone comes to pick up the receipt and bring to your order. All staff I interacted with were helpful and friendly. Ambiance: It's cafeteria meets $$$. It's causal enough, food comes quickly, and no one rushes you. A mix of folks makes for fun people watching. Enjoyed the experience and would come back.

Yelp
We've been coming to Café Nordstrom downtown for a long time. The food and service has been strong in general, while particularly good recently. We tried the new fish sandwich and chowder. Both highlighting Wild Alaska Pollock. We learned during our last visit that it's the most sustainable commercial fish in the world. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Anne D.

Yelp
Gave the cafe another chance. Better service this time around. Glad it wasn't a repeat of my last visit.

Susie N.

Yelp
Overpriced. Not good. Won't be going back. Just another place that used to be decent that now is not worth the cost!

Yelp
We love Nordstrom and we've always enjoyed their cafe. We hadn't been there in awhile and decided to have lunch there on a Saturday afternoon. The cafe wasn't busy; we were very disappointed in the service and food. The cashier was unfriendly (certainly not up to typical Nordstrom service standards); tables were dirty; food was delivered by a server wearing surgical gloves (unappetizing). The salads weren't as fresh as in previous visits. Disappointing experience and I hope things will improve. A facelift and serious attention are needed.

Yelp
Food is super good. Love the salads. The service and way of servicing is weird but food is good and I disliking talking to people so it's fine

Yelp
I was visiting from out of town and love shopping at their flagship store. The Cafe was a huge disappointment. I ordered soup and salad and a cocktail for $47 and waited 30 minutes for my food. My server was insolent and disrespectful when I inquired about the status of my order. The tip was added at the tine the order was placed so my server received a great tip for terrible service. Definitely not up to Nordstrom standards. Maybe this is the new norm for Nordstrom...?
google avatar

Barbara S.

Yelp
I usually like the food at Café Nordstrom but I have changed my mind after having brunch on Sunday. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty straightforward, right? It's actually pretty hard to screw up such a traditional brunch dish. Unless, apparently, you're a cook at Café Nordstrom! The eggs were terribly overcooked, they were served on very thick brioche bread (not a fan of that change -- too much bread!), and that was MOT Hollandaise sauce! It was some kind of melted fat/butter goo. There was no egg yolk in the sauce, no lemon, it seriously looked and tasted like melted butter and pan drippings. Eeww! Don't order it! Unfortunately, my girlfriend ordered the same thing! You've been warned!
google avatar

Yelp
Slow. Unaware. Sad. I am very saddened by my visit today as I usually enjoy my expierence at the Nordatrom Cafe. I decided to stop by for a quick bite while waiting for my gifts to be wrapped. I ordered soup and a biscuit. All I wanted was for my biscuit to be warmed up. I've been instructed to let my server know 3 times. 15 minutes later waiting in an almost empty dining room and seeing the server walk by several times, I have yet to get the service I need nor to be greeted. The food is great, but the service I was received was very disappointing, especially knowing how Nordstrom is known for their all-star customer service.

Yelp
Awesome food and service in the fourth floor of Nordstrom. It was a nice place to take a break.
google avatar

Yelp
I am big fan of Nordstrom cafe. I was really excited to try their food in Seattle. We ordered pizza margarita and french dip sandwich. I didnt like the pizza so much and crust was not that thin but sandwich was awesome!!! I highly recommend that it comes with chips or salad. We choose chips and it was a good choice. I will be back to try their diner options. Overall clean/ nice seating.

Yelp
Nordstrom cafe is such a hidden gem. You wouldn't expect to get pretty good quality food from a department store, unless you're in Korea or something lol but seriously this place has some great cafe foods. I've tried the pastas and salads and sandwiches and they're usually all super good. But i always always come out of my way to get the kids grilled cheese tomato combo for $7. It may seem strange but it's soooooo bomb. It comes with a drink and a side, i usually get a side of chips. And the drink is refillable! I also really like their arugula and shrimp salad. It's veryyy large though but i guess that's a good thing for most people! Either way I really enjoy coming here for a quick bite. I wish you can tip the servers though. You can tip them with cash but I don't always have cash on me so I feel really bad walking out without leaving anything. They should really change this so u can tip at the counter when u order the food? Maybe you can, I just don't know how to tip without cash.

Yelp
I'm going to write something unpopular here, but I had one of the single best burgers here I've ever had in Seattle. I've not had a bad meal ever at the cafe, and while it is Nordstrom, I'm not against eating there because the meals are satisfying, healthy and generally reasonable. Staff is always good.
google avatar

Vanessa F.

Yelp
Great food choices. I ordered the artichoke dip and spicy shrimp pasta. Both were delicious.
google avatar

Mark T.

Yelp
We were looking for a bite and found Café Nordstrom - and what a pleasant surprise! Easy, fast and tasty. The menu isn't huge, but it's a café after all - and the staff aims to please. You order and pay at the counter and they bring the food out to you. I like the idea of not having to tip when you order - how do you know how to tip if you haven't gotten any service yet? So I'm a fan of the system they have here at Café Nordstrom. We had a Margherita Pizza and a Caprese salad (we're trying to adhere to Meatless Monday...) - and after a bit of thinking, they're pretty much exactly the same ingredients just in differing amounts. Plus the caprese had a pesto with pine nuts. Buy my pizza had basil, so we were close. I'm not afraid to venture back to Café Nordstrom. It gets a thumbs up.

Yelp
I am a big fan of the Nordstrom restaurants and have frequented various Nordie cafes across the U.S.. I give this cafe a strong 3.5 stars compared to those I have experienced. This Seattle location is very clean with the same menu favorites such as creamy, tomato soup, Asian chicken salad, the signatory royale cookie, penne pasta and more. The things I don't like are the two lines..one for to go and one for indoor dining which causes a lot of confusion..I have been cut in front of many times by customers unfamiliar with the process. Also, the cashiers for some reason are very slow and I feel like I am waiting for a fast food take out as at times the staff seems to have a sense of disengagement. After finding a table and being seated..the waitstaff brings our drinks and notates our orders. They are generally friendly but there again..a bit distant unlike the staff at the restaurant downstairs. The food comes out and the salads and the lettuce a little wilted at the edges and the chicken very dry as it seems reheated in a microwave. The crispy cracker that came with the Asian chicken salad was stale and not good. The royale cookies were delicious as usual. The entire meal was not memorable however this is Nordstrom so possibly they were having an off day.
google avatar

Sruthi S.

Yelp
Treated myself with a Salmon Oscar and that it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Quality food, friendly staff and good service. I highly recommend you visit this place if you are planning to lunch in SLU.
google avatar

Margot B.

Yelp
I stopped in here for a quick lunch while working downtown. For how long the line was, I was worried my food would take a while. I was pleasantly surprised how quick it came out. My sandwich was hot and delicious! This is a great spot to grab a quick bite. The menu is slightly limited, so I don't come here often. Just when working or shopping! Compared to the other Nordstrom cafés I've eaten in, this one tastes pretty on par with the others.
google avatar

Mandee O.

Yelp
Have always been a fan of Nordstrom Cafe. You can never go wrong with any of their sandwiches. I have always really have enjoyed their Prime French Dip and the tomato soup is always creamy and decadent. Hot tip.. when you're feeling nostalgic and don't want a large meal, order the kid's size Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup. Perfect size, delicious, so comforting and only $7.50! Can't beat that.
google avatar

Zachariah A.

Yelp
Absaloutely delicious, surpassed all my expectations. The servers were extremely nice and polite. The bread was buttery & crispy. The environment had a comfortable feeling to it. The food had perfect texture & blended perfectly together. 10/10 will eat here again! I ordered the lamb meatballs!
google avatar

Saira K.

Yelp
I had their chocolate mousse cake. It was just perfect. So rich, thick, and chocolaty. I have eaten at many Nordstrom cafes in different cities, but I never saw this chocolate mousse cake at the other cafes. The service was nice, and it was a really relaxed place. Nice views.

Dennis I.

Yelp
My wife loves their Salmon Niçoise salad, always a go to for her. We have brought friends here for lunch because it is that good. My only issues would be they need a little more attention to cleaning (tables and dusting) and when there are a dozen people in line and only one person taking orders that can be a little frustrating.
google avatar

Erica R.

Yelp
A friend and I had originally planned to go somewhere else for an early lunch, but there was a really long wait... and since we were planning to visit Nordstrom anyway, we just decided some lunch at the cafe would be an easy stop. With friendly staff and a variety of seating, Cafe Nordstrom is a comfortable dining location to fit into your shopping excursion. They have a nice variety of menu options, from salads and pizzas to sandwiches and entrees. I opted for the cranberry and turkey sandwich, a combination of cranberry chutney, havarti cheese, sprouts, and mayonnaise on multigrain ciabatta. A side of chips come with the sandwich options... and I opted to add a cucumber-flavored Dry Soda to sip on during my lunch. I ended up being so full before I could even finish the chips, and the sandwich really hit the spot. I might have to steal the ingredient combination and make similar sandwiches at home. :) The price was probably around $40+ for two people who ordered one sandwich each, one drink each, and then one dessert bar (plus I left a tip). Perhaps a bit much, but it's also Downtown Seattle... so it's probably comparable for the area. All in all, a pleasant visit... and I'd certainly visit again while out for a casual shopping trip.
google avatar

Candi K.

Yelp
A friend and I were hungry before a movie and decided to come here considering most places take longer (we were on a time crunch) and didn't want fast food. It's been a while since I've been here but I always remember that on their kids meal they have a grilled cheese with tomato soup. I love their tomato soup and can't go wrong with a grilled cheese. It was also happy hour and they had $5 glasses of wine so I got a glass of Riesling and my friend got the same drink. He got the chicken sandwich and he liked it, nothing crazy amazing but good. Will come back for a quick glass of wine during happy hour.

P B.

Yelp
most disappointing caesar salad of my life, not to mention overpriced for what I got. Tastes overwhelmingly of just water, very little caesar and tbh i expect a country club style caesar from Nordstrom; classic, creamy and delicious, this is more an extremely weak vinaigrette style dressing with NO PARMESEAN? I love coming to the cafe, I wish everything was as delicious as the green goddess and tomato soup. The salmon entree is also embarrassingly small for a $20+ "meal", as it's a small salmon filet and meager salad next to it when the opportunity for filet over bed of couscous salad was right there. Service is impeccable and keeps me coming back but I truly wish they'd spend more time and care developing their classics and having really strong options rather than these monthly specials which actually end up being better than the menu staples 90% of the time.
google avatar

Allen O.

Yelp
I always have their French Dip and a glass of wine. Never seem to be too busy where you would need to wait. Maybe their staff is just good?? We find ourselves stopping here when we are in downtown. It's a better alternative to some of the downtown restaurants!
google avatar

James H.

Yelp
I don't normally order just salad for a meal but the shrimp and arugula salad at the cafe is on point! Great combination of flavors make for a well executed dish. Either that or the kids meal grilled cheese; comes with tomato soup, fruit and chips!
google avatar

Michelle G.

Yelp
I went there with my girlfriends for lunch today. It was one of my favorite spot to eat in downtown Bellevue. We ordered three salads and one cookie. I absolutely love the food here but not too much on the service. The server stopped by our table five to six times and once asked us if we are from, the island. The answer is, no. I might be tan but I am not from there. Another time, I leaned over to pick something up and the server quickly took my plate away without asking. There were a few bites left but I wasn't finished! In the end, we still left tips to him. Next time, I will probably order something to go if I am craving some salads.
google avatar

Brian L.

Yelp
Order: Grilled Chicken & Spinach Alfredo A cafe inside a department store? Originally, I was skeptical, but the positive reviews and a persuasive friend convinced me otherwise. And I'm happy I went! Overall the dish was flavorful and the chicken cooked properly. The pasta was a tad dry for Alfredo, but that might have been our fault for taking too long with pictures. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and it was a pleasure dining here. The ambience was intimate and pleasant, especially with the few customers that were present in the hour we were there.
google avatar

Karen C.

Yelp
My mom and I were in Seattle recently and were doing some shopping. We knew this would be a good place for lunch as Nordstrom's other cafes are usually good. You order at the counter then you sit where you want. A waiter comes and takes your check then delivers your drinks and food. I had a the salad special - peach and prosciutto salad. It was very good. Had lots of fresh peaches in it, as well as the prosciutto and nuts. Nice vinaigrette dressing on it. Mom had a pepperoni pizza. I had a slice of it too. Very tasty, not too cheesy, good pepperoni. And we shared a brownie. It was more cake like than brownie but nice chocolate flavor. Our waiter was attentive and brought our drinks quickly and refilled them several times. Food took a little longer than it should but they were busy. Definitely a good spot if you are shopping at Nordstrom or the mall next door.
google avatar

Nique F.

Yelp
The mother of all Nordstrom Cafes! I typically like to eat local wherever I am, but since Nordstrom is a Seattle company I made an exception for this cafe :) Awesome spot to take a load off from shopping, get some work done, take a business meeting, or chill by yourself. There's SO MUCH seating. The food was just alright (not terribly gourmet or made with love, and pretty overpriced) but the cozy booths and friendly service made it a pleasant spot to grab a bite and get some work done. Definitely a family-friendly spot, with plenty of room to park your stroller or stick your kids in a highchair, too. Feels classy but comfortably at the same time. Nice work, Nordy's.

Yelp
Location and Atmosphere: top floor of Nordstrom in Westlake Area. Clean. Large windows for natural lighting. The Asian Chicken Salad: it was ok. Presentation of the dish looked beautiful. I like the dressing. As I was eating it, personally for me their was not enough balance of the amount of greens to the amount of wanton crisps. It needed more greens. Especially for the price paid for it. The service: Order first then have a seat. The cashiers did not seem eager to take my order. The menus are not displayed to review what to order, have to ask the cashier. The girl cashier had a great conversation with the person in front of me. When it was my turn, she barely said a word to me. After ordering I can pick a place to sit the waitress will come to bring your food items. They don't really check to see if you need anything else. I hardly come to downtown. I was so hopeful coming here to eat because of the yelp reviews and it's Nordstrom! I love shopping at Nordstrom. But you'd think they would have higher standards of customer service for their customers.
google avatar

Khoo K.

Yelp
Great food. Almost everything I ordered here was good which is unlikely for a 'mall restaurant'. The shrimp salad was amazing with corn and chunks of polenta cubes. Creative and refreshing. The salmon entree was very delicious too with cherry tomatoes for a light and tasty lunch without being too heavy. It is busy but service was good. A hidden gem or maybe not so hidden anymore.

Yelp
OMG my new love for Cafe Nordy's has officially begun. Soooo, the last time I came here was I kid you not, maybe like 8 years ago with my older brother/sister haha and it was because my brother loves their one strawberry shortcake dessert, and I have not been here since then, bc 1) I rarely shop at nordstroms (unless it's Sales season ahah) 2) It does not cross my mind to eat here bc I forget that they offer food here! But anyway, SO GOOD! Food is great quality, awesome service and clean environment. Luckily, my local mall is Westfield Southcenter, and they have a cafe located upstairs! Ate here recently, and ordered the Chicken Lime Salad... and OooOoweee man! I was sold. There's just something about that salad. Just writing about it makes me want to go there after work and order one again! AND on top of that, my cousin bought the lemon cookie shortbread thing on the go.. and STOP right now. SO. GOOOOOOOD. UGH. Bottom line, check this place out, when shopping. What an experience!

Yelp
This is a hit or miss. The service and food are not consistently good. Sometimes you get a great waiter and the food comes exactly as in the menu and right temperature and properly spaced. Most of the time: * timing is off: the food comes all together which causes that your main course gets cold while you have soup or salad * temperature is off: soup comes hot(great!) but steak comes cold. Why is it so hard to bring food at the ok temperature? * WYOINWYG: what you order is not what you get. I ask for steak with asparagus and waitress brings steak with some kind of thick tortilla (?) And not even good * water: BYOL. Bring your own lemon. No way to get some of it here, no matter how many times you ask your waitress. Yes. I know. First world problems. But is it really so hard to get these four things working?
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
The food is consistently well-made. The ambience is clean, comfortable, and Nordstrom-stylish. The pricing is very reasonable for the quality of food that they serve. I love their seasonal specials! The pork chop, sweet potato entree they have running right now is incredible. I've had it three times this week already!

Yelp
I planned to try this place out as pre-grub before the Yelp free screening of It's Kind Of A Funny Story. Located between Pacific Place and the core of Nordstrom shopping next to the skybridge, it's a good spot to come in for a hunger fix. I think I got some sort of herb roasted chicken (doesn't seem to be on website, but maybe chicken for salmon on listing). Tasty, moist, good. The rustic veggies were nice, hearty, and filling. A solid meal. Service seemed a bit slow but decent. I would sit in the front half as the rear half feels like Denny's, thanks to that bland ceiling and decor change. Other menu items and reviews look appealing.

Yelp
Pretty good place to have a lunch....good meeting spot to meet me lady friend as she entered from Pac Place and me coming from Nordstrom side off Pine. Got there early so there was not much of a line. You order at the front, pay, then seat yourself anywhere in the dining room. Servers will bring your drinks and food and will periodically check on you. Sandwiches can range up to $10, salads about the same or more. They have pastas to and daily specials too. I think the food is pretty good, counter staff is very helpful in explaining the menu as well. No issues with this place at all. Eventhough you already paid up front, dont forget to tip your server. Its right across from the bedding and towel dept. I realized my towels suck and need new ones. Anyways, a recommeded place to check out. Happy lunch'n!!!

Yelp
Ordered the cilantro lime chicken salad. It was delicious as usual except I made the mistake of clicking the order to go button through yelp which dialed and connected me with Nordstrom Grill, which wasn't a big deal except the cafe is located at the very top and the grill is located at the very bottom. Please update the correct phone # through yelp.
