The 21 Best Restaurants in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca | Eater

"Twelve years ago, Café Olé started as a palapa selling juices and sandwiches, providing a healthy option to the surfers who came to Puerto Escondido. Little by little, the place has become the restaurant that it is today, a coffee shop and creperie serving waffles, omelettes, and delicious coffee that’s produced in Oaxaca. Café Olé makes its own yogurt for smoothies, jams, pesto, chimichurri, and bread, and dishes are named after the pets that have been a part of the restaurant through the years. sweet and savory crepes were both really good. Smoothies and juice were tasty. Overall a great breakfast spot

Absolutely massive meal portions! This place is easily the busiest place in La Punta for breakfast and it’s well deserved. The meals were all priced at M$220 but we easily could have shared a meal between 2 people. The sweet pink relish that comes on the table is super tasty. The iced latte was also tasty and they have a DJ which adds to the vibe

The BEST breakfast & coffee in La Punta! A must-visit in Puerto Escondido. Café Olé is 100% the spot for the best breakfast in La Punta. We came here for coffee and it was the perfect start to our day. The cappuccino was amazing, made with rich Oaxacan coffee. My daughter got a strawberry banana smoothie (smoothiecito) and it was so fresh and delicious. The whole place has such a great vibe—perfect for travelers, surfers, or anyone looking for a quality brunch in Puerto Escondido. It's always busy for a reason: great food, perfect coffee, and a fantastic location right in La Punta Zicatela. We will be back!

We arrived around 10:30 and had to wait 10-15 mins to get a table, which was totally fine. They offer many options for breakfast including crepes, omlettes, smoothies, bowls and paninis. What we had were tasty and the portions were big. Although I see some people mentioning this place being expensive, I thought the prices were reasonable.

The best breakfast in La Punta area. All dishes cost 140 pesos. The portions here are big. The quality is fresh and tasteful. I really enjoyed all the scrambled egg plates. Also the fruit dishes, smoothies and coffees are amazing here. The iced coffees here are also good! The frappé was a little too sweet. But it's fine. The setting is cute and near the beach. Beautiful pink flowers all over this place.

Café Olé was pretty solid! They serve great coffee from Oaxaca, and we also tried a 1L smoothie that was really refreshing. We ordered a Nutella crepe with fruit, which was pretty big and definitely enough to share. The crepe was good, but not the best I’ve had. The place is always busy, which is a good sign, and it’s in a fantastic location near the beach. Overall, it’s a great spot for coffee and a quick bite!
