Nomad No More: An Opulent Downtown LA Dining Room Is Born | Eater LA

"Adjacent to the restaurant, Cafe Ora is a more casual daytime cafe open from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., offering espresso drinks, bottled wine, canned booze, and house-made gelato." - Mona Holmes

Cute Christmas decorations! I loved the hot chocolate, but the croissant was a bit odd because I don’t think it was supposed to be heated up. I’ve tried lots of strawberry croissants, and none of them were warm. It was kinda hard to eat cuz the cream melted

Love this place. I come here often to work when I need a break from my office or to study. The staff are always super friendly and kind. The owner is very kind and welcoming as well. Love the vibe and keep coming back. Parking is super convenient in this area too. I see lots of regulars coming in an out, being referred to by their names, so others are obviously feeling the same as me :)

Stopped by this café looking for a caffeine fix. At the time, we found street parking available. The space inside is quite large with plenty of seating and a nicely decorated atmosphere. Music was playing and the vibe was relaxed. They had a buffet going, and someone who we believe was the manager or owner warmly greeted us and explained how the buffet worked along with the pricing. We ordered a regular coffee, iced coffee, and cappuccino. The coffee was okay. I usually order a straight cappuccino with no sweetener, but this one had too much milk and not enough foam. It also had a subtle sweetness to it that I didn’t enjoy. There was a small mix-up with the regular coffee, which caused a bit of a delay, but the service was friendly and attentive overall. They also had some unique non-alcoholic drinks from Sleeping Giant Brewery. We tried the ginger ale and the blood orange soda. The ginger ale was especially good with a strong, real ginger flavor, and the blood orange soda was also tasty. These canned drinks were the highlight of the visit, though they can likely be found elsewhere. The menu was quite large with many options for food but we did not try.

A nice little cafe with good prices and cute decorations. The music wasn’t too loud and there were nice, large windows. The food was good, but not great. The carrot cake was a bit dry and not so punchy as the dessert usually is. We also tried a lemon bar, which was punchier, though the crust was a little much. Overall, I’d be happy to go back any day, but it would probably not be my first choice.

First time at Cafe Ora, Me and the missus ordered a Chicken Club, Turkey Bacon Sandwich and a side Caesar salad. She also had a chai iced latte. The food was fresh, the salad was covered in dressing! (Loved that, rarely I find my salads dressed well) The server was polite and answered all our questions. Will come back again

It's such a cute Cafe! Loved the menu! It was spacious, clean and really great to enjoy breakfast in. Sandwiches, dessert & lattes! They did also have gluten free option for one of my friends. Also quite picturesque! We loved the service as well. The servers were friendly and warm! We'll definitely be back!

We rented Café Ora’s space for a poetry writing workshop, and we were delighted with everything! The food (not all pictured) and drinks were amazing! On top of having a variety of foods served in the charcuterie set, there were options available for people who don’t eat meat, gluten, dairy, or nuts. The service was also great, and communications were on par! We didn’t have to worry about the potential of the venue being double booked or staff forgetting about our booking. We were reassured, and we did not experience problems at all as they were very helpful! The atmosphere of the coffeeshop was also just perfect for the poetry writing workshop. What we really liked about the place is the care and attention to details. With the holiday season around, there were so much decorations in the coffeeshop that created a welcoming and positive mood! Even the pillowcases of their seat pillows were changed to correspond with the colours of the decorations! Overall, we were very pleased with Café Ora. The participants of our poetry writing workshop said they liked the venue, and they would definitely go back there again so they could get coffee and chill out in their cozy space!

A group of us went just for coffee, we had a regular cup of Joe through to Americano’s, all were great. The ambiance is 10/10, beautiful and cozy inside, you feel like you’re in somebody’s home! There are not many coffee places to go to that could accommodate about 10-14 people (an hard no to Tim’s/McD’s) so kudos for the large space!! Only complaint is the delay…they need an extra hand in there as it’s quite the busy place!
