This cafe looks like a hidden gem of this neighborhood since it’s located in front of a busy Papineau street and hard to find car parking if you are using car, but not with other methods of transportation. The place looks wild and expressive since there are a lot of decorations and really captures the uniqueness of this place. On the second floor, they are setting up a spot to watch while doing your work. The staff are really friendly and have a nice chat with the staff. Their latte tastes okay, but really like the atmosphere of this cafe and can consider to do a work in the future in here.

A must visit if you’re in Montreal. Wild interiors - quite unconventional. Liked the menu with quite a selection. We went for a Cortado, Choco Chai, Chocolate Babka and Vege-Pate Sandwich. Loved the Cortado - probably the best we’ve had in Montreal. Choco Chai was fine. Chocolate Babka and Vege-Pate Sandwich - loved it. Definitely try. The staff was nice. Can’t say friendly. The guy seemed a bit distracted but hopefully everything was okay. Interiors are quite busy and a lot to see and notice. They have too many different kinds of seating, so pick your style. There’s seating on the floor above as well as outside. There’s street parking outside which might be difficult to find during the day. We went after 10 in the night so a few spots were there. Definitely try!

I hidden gem on Papineau street. Bohemian nostalgic should I say. Awesome music yet a quiet ambiance ideal for some office work. The Tintin magazine brought back childhood memories. The place sits on two floors and offers a variety of coffees, homemade bakeries plus your usual danishes, hard liquor and even beer on tap. And they also have a full menu with interesting options. The Piano sits halfway up to the mezzanine but I’m not sure if it is played but it’s a nice touch. If you happen to be in the area it’s worth dropping by.

Café Orr is a gem! We love the food, always something filling and tasty is on the menu. The staff is amazing, friendly and attentive. We enjoy the cafe when we are working remotely during the week and gathering with friends on our days off.

The vibe here is off the charts Incredible place for work, relaxing, or just hanging out. Food is nothing amazing but it really doesn't matter at all. And it's open until 11pm, and they even have beer & wine. So happy this place exists!

I get all my work done here. The staff is really friendly and efficient. People make fun of how bohemian & quirky this place is but I've grown to love it. Sometimes the music is too loud, like so loud that you feel like you're at a concert in a bar, so you might want to bring your noise-canceling headphones. Otherwise, I wish this place long life as it's my go to cafe for working.

It is not easy to wait for a sunny weekend, of course, with friends to coffee street sweeping. The cafe he has chosen is very pleasing to me. It is a mix of Eclectic style, various corners and green plants, but coZy overall. • There are coffee, desserts and food here, I ordered a bagel orr with a big cup of coffee, ten tips a total of 20, I think it is very cost-effective! And bagel is really good! Service little brother is also very lovely always smiling to welcome, make you feel very comfortable, reading and dating I think are very suitable. I think their kitchen is also in here, so sometimes the smell will come out, but I don't mind so much. Will come again anyway.

Yelp
Another coffee with a lot of personality. It looks like a coffee shops in a movie in which "artsy" teenagers hang out. The tables and chair feel a bit crowded but that is part of the charm. Honestly if I was a living in Montreal as a teen this would have been my spot. I ordered a double espresso and it was great actually, not that bitter but still gave you a kick up. It seems they also show movies every now and then. A perfect reason to come back!

Yelp
the ambience is easily the best part of this cafe- the walls are filled with art, decorations, stickers, posters, and signs. even the washrooms (of which there are three, including a wheelchair-accessible one) are covered in writing, drawings, and stickers. it's truly fun to explore, and I notice something new every time I come here. the lighting is perfect: warm and inviting. the food is good: I especially enjoy the cream cheese bagel with cucumber and spices. i think it's a tiny bit overpriced, but the excellent service and presentation make up for it. the one major issue I have with this place, the sole reason I say this cannot be my favourite cafe in montreal: is the deafening volume of the music. it's always *very* loud. I am someone who often studies in cafes and needs there to be a reasonable level of quietness to focus: unfortunately, cafe orr falls short. even with noise-cancelling headphones, I can still hear the music very clearly, even if I am on the other side of the room from the speakers. at least they play good music. but please, make it quieter!!

Yelp
This time I tried the matcha latte and cream cheese bagel. They were both good. Service is a bit slow because there's only two people and the place is crowded.

Yelp
I loved discovering this new café on Papineau. While there I met the owner and designer of the spot. You could tell that he was proud of his café as he gave me and some friends a short tour. We learned that the café was lovingly named after his daughter Orr. Who was serving me my macchiato at the time. A big plus is that they make their coffee with beans from Barrista. The owner, Daniel, also explained that he designed and built the interior himself. The space is modern and quirky with little nooks to do some quality reading or chat with friends. I will definitely come by with friends and show off this new neighbourhood café.

Yelp
We can't explain how excited we were when we saw a Cafe was opening across the street! Cafe Orr exceeded our expectations in every way. As a digital nomad' who spend countless hours at Coffee shops around the world, we've come to understand what sets a great shop apart. There is something incredibly unique and refreshing about Cafe Orr's style, ambience and passionate team that makes us proud to call it part of our home here in Montreal. - James & Laura from across the street!

Yelp
I saw such great reviews about this place that I was very excited to give it a try ! The decor was cozy , lots of nooks and corners to sit comfortably and get some work done. However, service was extremely slow even though there were only two of us in line. The food was VERY overpriced especially for the small portion size. I ordered a squash soup which had zero flavour and was such a small portion that it make no sense. My "matcha latte" was all warm milk and what seemed like a sprinkling of matcha (the liquid was actually all white). They made it a second time which was nice of them but the second time was almost exactly the same as the first, basically a cup of warm milk. The servers were nice but the whole process was disorganized, slow service one person very slowly making one order at a time then they serve you at your table but they don't have a system for tables so they end up wandering around asking everyone if the order if theirs. They had a lot of customers seated and working but almost none of them had any sort of food or drink infront of them , maybe that should have been the first red flag for me. The location is very big a pretty but I think they have a lot of work to do regarding quality , pricing and efficiency. Not coming back here

Yelp
This cafe is a dream. What a perfect spot, with a perfect vibe, nooks to hide, plenty of seating, great drinks, music and food. What any cafe should aspire to be.

Yelp
Cafe Orr is a charming coffee bistro. The coffee was delicious with a good strong flavor. The space was beautifully decorated in an eclectic way with a variety of comfortably seating. The barista was very nice and friendly and spoke both French and English. This is a great place to kick back back, enjoy the a morning brew and start your day!
