the ambience is easily the best part of this cafe- the walls are filled with art, decorations, stickers, posters, and signs. even the washrooms (of which there are three, including a wheelchair-accessible one) are covered in writing, drawings, and stickers. it's truly fun to explore, and I notice something new every time I come here.
the lighting is perfect: warm and inviting.
the food is good: I especially enjoy the cream cheese bagel with cucumber and spices. i think it's a tiny bit overpriced, but the excellent service and presentation make up for it.
the one major issue I have with this place, the sole reason I say this cannot be my favourite cafe in montreal: is the deafening volume of the music. it's always *very* loud. I am someone who often studies in cafes and needs there to be a reasonable level of quietness to focus: unfortunately, cafe orr falls short.
even with noise-cancelling headphones, I can still hear the music very clearly, even if I am on the other side of the room from the speakers.
at least they play good music. but please, make it quieter!!
