Perfect spot for breakfast before strolling around the Due Torri! Gamberini serves great coffee paired with a huge range of pastries that are hard to resist. The vibe is rustic and classy, with a quick in-and-out bar seating flow that makes you feel like a local. A true Bologna experience!

I love the Italian way to get coffee and this is a great place to do just that. Stand at the counter for your macchiato (excellent flavour) and torta di riso (my first, tasty and moist with a slightly brûléed top, which was delicious), take a moment to appreciate life and then continue your day 🙂 A very civilised way to live 😁

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A true Bologna classic since 1907! The atmosphere is elegant, with chandeliers and a traditional pasticceria feel. The pastries are fantastic — we had a maritozzo with chantilly cream and a brioche with crema, both fresh, fluffy, and filled generously. The coffee was smooth and perfectly balanced, making it a great start to the day. Despite being busy, the service was quick and professional. Prices are fair for the quality and historic setting. A must-visit if you want to experience a timeless Bolognese café.

This is how they serve an Americano here: a shot of espresso, hot water in a pot, and a glass of cold water. Even the cheapest café wouldn’t dream of dumping it in a paper cup. Love this place.

We passed by for a breakfast and loved the cafe. It's an historic cafe and takes you back in time. The bakery items were delicious and the coffee was amazing.

Amazing place for coffee and treats. Incredibly tasty, thick Italian hot chocolate, and endless choices of delicious treats. Honestly, I could eat anything/everything from this place. Even on a cold wet day, the seating outside was warm and sheltered. Yes, it is a bit loud sometimes with the traffic, but not a big deal. Everything else was so great! Kind staff. We were able to split our bill in half to pay separately. Total was €17 for Italian hot choc, macchiato, and 6 treats!

The Best Pasticceria in Bologna. And I don’t mean it metaphorically, rhetorically, poetically, or any other way. It’s the best straight up. Coffee? The best. Desserts? The best. Pastries? The best. Prices? The best, especially for the quality. There are also very good breakfast options, like French toasts and pancakes available if you sit on serviced table. It’s just a prime Bologna experience, and also at a very affordable price. They also do catering to events, since when I was at a conference at Bologna Business School, they had pastries provided by Gamberini. I think most Bolognan’s agree that this is the best place. One thing you must be aware of is it’s immense popularity. There almost always will be a long queue, but it goes very fast.

This lovely patisserie/ bar was opened in 1907. Beautiful cakes & pastries plus savoury rolls & mini pizzas can either be eaten there or taken away. We sat outside in the covered area. It has waitress service but the menus only detailed the alcoholic drinks, cocktails, sodas & hot beverages. We had to go back inside to see what cakes we wanted & they were then brought out to us with our liqueur coffees. The coffees & cakes were beautifully made & yummy. The rum baba was especially moist & boozy. Each table is numbered so we went back inside to pay once finished as a bill was not forthcoming. Staff were friendly & efficient.
