"Chefs Joachim Splichal and Octavio Becerra opened Café Pinot in 1995 in a cozy glass-enclosed space adjacent to Downtown’s iconic Central Library. It is one of Downtown’s early settlers, offering dining options when choices were limited. Café Pinot announced its final day of service on April 26." - Mona Holmes

I've been here a few times for weddings. And returned for dinner service. It was good and they had a painting workshop in one of their rooms. Food was good and service was spectacular. Underground parking and they validate. There is also valet parking right off the street too.

This is a wonderful restaurant! I know there are lots of new restaurants in downtown L.A. but this one still deserves mention. The food is delicious, service is impeccable, and the view on the patio is breathtaking. Perfect place for dinner before a show. The French Onion Soup is the best I've ever had. Deserts are creative and tasty. I've been here many, many times since they opened long ago and have never been disappointed!

We photographed a wedding at Cafe Pinot and it was amazing! The atmosphere, the location, and the staff was incredibly friendly and because of how helpful everyone was, the bride and groom got plenty of great photos that they'll cherish for the rest of their lives.

Food is delicious, but it is a little bit hot inside when having lunch that day.

I have only experienced Cafe Pinot at the recent LA Food Bowl NIGHT MARKET event. I had the frozen foie gras and it was fantastic. The combination of the sweet bananas on the bottom topped with the liquid nitrogen frozen foie gras made it a perfect sweet and savory treat. Me and my buddies didnt leave a scrap! The staff working the booth were awesome too!

Good food, and while the market fish came out under cooked they fixed it with no problem. Definitely recommend the French onion soup and dragon water cocktail.

I truly appreciated this cafe, the food is remarkable, as well as the washrooms were not bad. It was a little fridgity indoors, so yeah, it was not the most enjoyable. The host is awesome also. I will absolutely consider going back once more if I have the possibility. Me and also my good friend bought the toast and also we were not dissatisfied. My one recommendation is to keep the cold outside. Come again!
