Cafe Piro - what a beautiful little place! The food - vegetarian - was super delicious and the furniture and dishes hand made & beautiful. Great chef and server - friendly and attentive. The coffee and watermelon agua were so good - delicious 😋

I recently visited Cafe Piro and it instantly became one of my favorite spots. The coffee is absolutely incredible—rich, aromatic, and perfectly brewed. You can tell they take their coffee seriously. But it’s not just the coffee that shines here. Their food is made from scratch, and it truly shows. I tried their hatch green chile quiche, and it was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had—flaky crust, a perfectly creamy filling, and a delightful blend of flavors. Everything else on the menu is just as fresh and delicious.

We had gone to Socorro Farmers Market in lower valley on a Saturday. Someone there suggested we try Cafe Piro for breakfast and we loved it! The foods was incredible, will definitely go again. It’s across from the mission. They did a wonderful job remodeling, I can’t say enough about it. Their vegetarian 👍🏻menu is for everyone.

Talk about a neat place! I went there on a Sunday morning with my family and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I could tell the food was scratch made with love, and it just tasted "pure." My family and I had the Hatch Chile Egpai (sound it out and it'll make sense), the Banana Bread Cinnamon Roll, the Oatmilk Latte with Cardamom, and the Café Piro pour over coffee. It was all very good! Of note for me, were the greens (tasted incredibly fresh and earthy) and the Café Piro - didn't need any dairy or additional sweeteners. We had a nice chat with the owner, Gabe, who was kind enough to share a little backstory about the Piro tribe, his vision for the restaurant, and mission to keep the culture thriving. Really cool place and vibe, and it's really cool that a lot of things are handmade outside of the food like the dishes, mugs, and even the furniture. We'll be back again!

It’s located in a very cute building in the historical part of Socorro, Texas next to the mission. You have to order up at the front and pay and the staff will take the food to you once it’s ready. Unfortunately, they only had two dishes available on my visit. I tried both and they were both delicious. The portions were very small though. I definitely want to return and try their other foods. We paid about 60 USD for two people.

An absolute gem in El Paso! This place has the best ingredients, and they put so much thought into their menu. Everything is fresh. Limited menu doesn't mean limited flavor. It's exquisite. Every time they hit above the mark. Highly recommend the trip. Great environment, cool music, and just a great vibe

Google
A hidden gem. Excellent food and service. The menu was short but everything is hand made and fresh. Avocados tacos were tasty but the quiche salad was a star. Creamy, cheesy and savory with a firm but delicate texture that dares you not to scarf it down in one big bite. Coupled that with an artistic atmosphere and decor and you got one fantastic place for brunch. Also, even though they don't serve alcohol they let us bring a bottle of wine for a reasonable uncorking fee. Recommended place.

Me and my friends were there a couple weeks ago and we loved it. Their choice of seating was diverse and so comfortable. The service was lovely, patient, and welcoming. The ambiance was something that I crave for now at a local place ❤️ (will definitely ask for their playlist in their space) The food was totally different from what I've had before. It was delicious, I enjoyed the waitress explaining us the ingredients or the name behind the plate. I'm so willing to go back again with family. Their cups and plates were homemade and beautifully done. I enjoyed seeing art from local artists and hope to see a show there someday.

Yelp
Had such a great meal and time here! First, impression was menu is tiny. 4 meals offered and plenty of teas and coffees. So then i thought maybe its not a restaurant but more of a lounge coffee place that offers a few meals. We were starving and we ordered too much because i thought pozole will not fill me and a taco will not fill my father. HOWEVER, the meals were very filling! Wow! Delicious, unique, and healthy! Tacos are lions mane mushroom and freshly made tortillas and so flavorful! Just full of unique flavors! The pozole is hearty and packed with all sorts of goodness. I picked up little surprises with each bite. "Oooh pumpkin seeds". The little maranitos were freshly made and such a tasty treat. It's such a fun environment with a living area where people were studying and listening to music while enjoying teas and coffees. So it was 70$ but it was 3 of us and we had 3 tacos, 2 large pozole bowls, 2 jamaica drinks, 1 maranito latte, 1 order of maranitos pan dulce. We left full!

Yelp
Stopped here on the way back from a road trip to add one last food "lifer" before getting home and the food was delicious. I really wanted the mole sampler but they currently only have their breakfast/ lunch menu and no mole. Ended up with the Lions Mane Mushrooms Taco which was very flavorufl and had the most delicious salsa with it (pour it all over for sure!) and also their very delicious, rich and flavorful three sisters green pozole. They make the dishes they serve the food in and there was a heart in the bottom of the bowl. I enjoyed looking at the art they have hanging on the walls. The service was simple, order at counter. Very vegan/ vegetarian friendly spot. They have an espresso machine and various creative drinks which I didn't try. I'd be curious to try their mole one day if they make it in the future and I happen upon there again.

Yelp
This is one of mine and my husband's favorite restaurants! Mel and Gabe always make us feel at home each and every time we go! The vibes are great, especially when you're one of the first few to arrive because there's always a calm, quiet energy with great music playing! Mel really puts her whole heart into cooking everything from farm fresh ingredients and it always comes out immaculate! We were one of the first few to try their first menu where they had lamb and veggies and it was..UH-mazing..(it became our spot after that) but my all time favorite HAS TO BE THE QUICHE. Doesn't matter which quiche you get..(the green chili one is my absolute fave though!) Get both if they're available or one of each and share like my husband and I do! Can't wait for our next visit!

Yelp
This Cafe is impressive inside and out. I ordered the Tres Hermanas Posole soup aka 3 sisters. I was served a nice coffee called Cafe Piro with a dehydrated orange slice on top by the owner Gabe Padilla. It has a nice eye pleasing environment that has a great energy. Go check it out.

Yelp
Our son brought us here for our anniversary. It was totally worth the drive from Las Cruces, NM. Such a cute building & as soon as you walk in you know this is going to be an awesome experience. Started with an orange espresso old fashioned. The best espresso I've ever had. Then absolutely enjoyed a quiche. The ambience was warm & inviting. The staff is very friendly. We are already talking about the next time we come! Highly recommend!

Yelp
This is such a cute place. I enjoyed the ambience so much. The service was awesome the hosts were very kind and warm. We had the tacos and the mole flight. portions are just right not too much not salty not greasy. The vegan queso fundido was AMAZING (oily of course) but it was so real. I was expecting a more spreadable mole, These were quite loose, but still tasty.

Yelp
Amazing food Amazing atmosphere Amazing service Celebrated my wife's birthday and the couches in the back made a very pleasant diner, the decoration of the entire building is Mexican traditional, is very warm and delightful. Will definitely come back. Although, I do have some suggestions: - Add more non vegan options. - More variety of drinks would be good.

Yelp
Great service, food was delicious. Somewhat of a limited option. Beautiful decor and building, lots of local art, great location. Salad was fresh and had a sweeter dressing with some really nice figs. Posole had a nice flavor and spice, it is a vegetarian three sisters posole, in case you're expecting beef or chicken. Overall excellent restaurant and a must try. You can't beat the historic area, the excellent environment and great food.

Yelp
Such a beautiful experience from good food and drinks, filtered water, vibe, and service. I could spend all day here. Absolutely amazing

Yelp
Amazing, limited menu with modern Mexican flavorings and healthy options. Lions Mane! Family feel yet super cool and artist den vibe. A must for those looking for something new, wonderful, and different in the El Paso are.

Yelp
Really nice place building and decor ..too bad the Tres Hermanos Pozole is a snooze !We were there yesterday, Sunday .First you pay up front before you eat, then over 24 minutes we got a small glass of water then finally after a woman noticed us with nothing, Then the food arrived 1 bowl (less than 2 cups of product, quiche 1 wedge from larger pie and greens .One utensil set , I gave my wife the fork ,I used the spoon .Pozole is usually a developed broth using pork neckbones for callogen and flavor (broth body, thickness)but i guess this was vegetarian......ok.There are other ways to get rich flavor in a stock apparently the chef forgot .It says green chile, but wow !how about a little more!as a matter of fact some more chile and an immulsion blender will help in devolpment ! for , me needed salt , none on the table ,none offered or refills on the 8 oz glass of long gone water .Wifes quiche was very good .I had lots of time to see a couple walk in,sit at corner table, and receive his bowl of pozole in 6 minutes hmmmmmm. all in all the money charged in my opinion does not even satisfy the rule of 33 .I could have had a burrito from almost any place on socorro road and been happier .Maybe the dinner dishes are better but if can't make soup what is the point of going back .Shawn Haslett Richardson Fabrication.

Yelp
Cafe Piro is a hidden paradise in Socorro. They serve food prepared in the traditional Piro Indian ways. The vibe is super chill and artisitic. The food is beyond amazing try it all!

Yelp
Lovely ambiance, service and food/drink! The menu changes on a weekly basis according to fresh local produce. The owners hand-made the dishes and table cloths, and they stained the chairs and tables themselves using natural pigments. Everything is made with love :) We loved the mole flight, curried squash and mushrooms, and blueberry-lemon-ricotta pie, as well as the drinks which are made with house made syrups and are very refreshing. They also serve coffee, beer, and wine!

Yelp
Amazing place. The food is mostly locally sourced and the staff was very kind. I wish there was more places like this in El Paso. Make sure you get here soon because once this place becomes popular its going to be by reservation only. The dining are is quite small, but that makes for a wonderfully intimate dining experience.

Yelp
Very cozy, fresh atmosphere, and kind staff. We stopped in on a cold October evening and were not disappointed. The music coming out of the speakers set the flawless vibe and the seating options are a mix of nice tables and comfy couches. My girlfriend and I obviously chose to wrap up under blankets on a couch. There was a nice local beer selection, my girlfriend got a chamomile infused beverage that was delicious. For entrées, I ordered a large plate of vegetables and lamb skewers which was to die for. The char on the veggies was out of control and the lamb was cooked perfectly with sides of chimichuri and tzatziki. For desert we split a circular chocolate cake that had very warm and cinnamon flavors that was literally the icing on the cake. It is nice to see a personable and fun restaurant like this in the area and we will be back often. My only critique would be to offer tofu as a side as my girlfriends wild mushroom dish, while amazing, did not have much protein in it.
