After meeting some of the Pista coffee team in Toronto, I came to try their cafe in Montreal while visiting on Canada Day and here are my take aways:
• The food is phenomenal! Truly some of the best food I had while staying in Montreal and definitely some of the best cafe food I’ve had period. I had the bah mi & my friends had the cheese sandwich (they were still talking about it on our drive home back to Ontario).
• I had hight expectations for their espresso as a barista and I’m glad they didn’t disappoint. They change it up frequently so even in the same weekend, I didn’t have the same espresso twice. Oat flat white 10/10, espresso tonic 8/10 for me!
• my friends said their iced matcha lattes could have been better, stating that they were a bit watered down.
• customer service was amazing and the barista’s didn’t automatically give up on me when I spoke French—which I personally appreciated but for those who only speak English, they speak English too.
Overall, their space is beautiful with lovely vibes and lots of space for working. They have a patio outside as well and a great retail section. For locals, check out their events that they host at the cafe—it’s really fun if you like coffee! I ended up getting one of their shirts 😂🫶🏻.
