Celebrate Singapore's National Day with these SG60 events

"A hotel café running a six‑month SG60 culinary programme (May–Oct 2025) that spotlights heritage flavours and collaborations with local chefs and brands. July’s collaboration with Keng Eng Kee (KEK) Seafood reimagines zi char classics—examples include a prawn-toast riff using KEK’s hei zho atop deep-fried mantou and salted-egg prawn stir-fries—available as a two-course set lunch from S$38++ or a communal menu from S$65++ per person. August features playful bakes from Goobycakes with locally inspired cheese pãos (sambal, ginger chicken, bakkwa), plus a special SG60 lunch/dinner menu and chef appearances on 1–2 Aug." - Megan Tan

Nice little cafe tucked away in a less busy town area. It's small but offers a beautiful decor with lush greeneries. Service was prompt & food was mainly Asian with distinct aromatics taste. The tables were close together unless you take the semi rounded seats. They offered a slice of cake for a birthday celebration. Overall I enjoyed this cafe!

We stayed at Artyzen and headed down to Café Quenino for breakfast. As we were seated in the pet-friendly outdoor area, we really appreciated the strong fans keeping things cool. The breakfast was a generous three-course spread with plenty of options to choose from. The staff were genuinely warm and clearly adored pets, stopping by to have heartfelt conversations about pet ownership. Our time there was brief but thoroughly enjoyable.

Things you need to know first if you don't. 1. If you are GPS'ing there, point to Artyzen Singapore (it's a hotel) 2. If you overshot, turn around and don't park in Conrad - it's EXPENSIVE (I was there for about 1.5hr, the fee was staggering) 3. Lunch menu starts at 1130am so no brunch menu. Wonderful place, not a big cafe and it's a part of the Artyzen Singapore. Very pretty interior and fairly quiet for catch-ups and lunch meetings. Per the menu description - food is inspired by Malaccan, Creole and Portuguese flavours, whatever that means but who cares because it was really GOOD, we love everything we ordered (2 of us). Service was excellent, we were taken care of by Mr. Thong and he is really good at his role. Fast, attentive and really friendly. I was looking the cake counter as it was my wife’s birthday but they didn’t have one. I asked him about it and he says don’t worry, we will take care of it and he did. Thanks Thong I will be forever grateful.

A really lovely and relaxing nook to enjoy a delicious casual meal. The menu and execution are ample and considerate, and there are quite a few cocktails with interesting ingredients. Service is also thoughtful and non-obtrusive. Definitely worth revisiting!!

We had a very good time with amazing afternoon tea . The staff warmly welcomed us even though we had arrived earlier. We were very happy to meet General Manager. The food was delicious we were very impressed and satisfied with all food. We started from finger sandwiches which were warm and tasty. Savory canapés, otak prawn mantou is also my favorite one. All items feature a blend of both Western and Oriental spices and flavors. Atmosphere was cosy and peaceful . We were relaxed and felt comfortable in this restaurant. I look forward to coming again. Thank you so much.

It was 三八妇女节so we randomly chose this cafe to celebrate. Turned out to be such good experience when Mr Tong brought us in and introduced us to the high tea… after that bartender Mark, waiter Steve and Ratna served us well with the drinks. Special mention for Mark who helped us to the car park when my girlfriend got abit too happy after the drinks. New hotel but go give it a try and you will be surprised.

Great ambience, passable food, but definitely overpriced for the quality. Service was a miss. Char siu pork belly was a main, sgd35++ for 5 thick slices. Tasty and reasonably tender but not melt in mouth and not life changing. At sgd7++ per slice of char siew, albeit quite thick, still not worth it. Would have been alright if the dish came with rice and sides like ikan billis and peanuts, but it came only with a measly portion of bland cabbage. Grilled prawns sgd18++ and grilled chicken sgd28++ were reasonable portions, can be shared by 2 or 3 pax. Both lacked in taste despite lots of gravy and marinade. Basmati rice was fragrant and moist, sgd6++ per serving. I enjoyed it even on its own, plain and without any accompanying sides. Tiramisu was the best thing we ordered, sgd16++ for a well executed tiramisu base topped with a single scoop of potent coffee ice cream. Nice gesture to serve us a complimentary slice of tiramisu for our anniversary but it puzzled for many reasons. We already ordered tiramisu, and you gave us another slice of inferior tasting tiramisu. This inferior tasting tiramisu was already served in our hotel room to us when we checked in 2 days ago, so it's the 2nd time we have to eat lousy tiramisu. Then there's us wondering how the cafe knew who we were, we booked the hotel room and the cafe under different names and didn't inform the cafe. Service was also awkward and unpolished. Definitely not premium hotel standard. Having just dined at premium establishments the day before, the disparity in level of service was glaring. Service staff were talking to each other loudly while guests like us were whispering and being mindful of our volume. Someone was sorting cutlery loudly in the middle of the restaurant in the middle of lunch service. We were about to be charged sgd5++ per glass of water, which they waived after I said water shouldn't be chargeable. Nice gesture, but I wonder how many restaurant patrons had to pay for water because they didn't provide the same feedback as me. If we come back, it'll be for the tiramisu and ambience. The place was quiet and uncrowded even on Saturday over lunch. Lots of natural light yet well air conditioned and not hot. Parking available at the hotel itself.

Had lunch here right after we checked out of Artyzen. The place looks very nice and new, with great furnishing and a lot of potential to be a good chill spot. However, it was let down by inconsistent service and a weird menu. Let's start with the service - service isn't rude or anything, and the staff were trying, but they didn't seemed trained or professional. When my wife approached the front desk with a "hi", it was met with a "hi" back with no further response. Then, after we were seated, we asked if hotel guests have any discount, but the same server went on to try to exclusion the menu without answering our question. This set the standard of service for the rest of the meal. Not bad, but not good. Food wise, we ordered the pork belly main with 2 basmati rice, and the grilled prawns and boneless chicken leg from the starters after much deliberation, because we didn't find anything that was to our liking. The menu choices are quite electic, and after clarification some of the serving sizes seemed small (e.g. the scallop was literally 1 scallop, and the Satay was 2 satay sticks for $28,though the staff claimed they were big). Anyway, the food was quite good when it came. Pork belly was succulent and tasty, basmati rice was fragrant, chicken came with pita bread that was good as well. Prawns came as a triple with a mildly spicy sauce. Everything was good, but overall experience was just a tad lacking. Water is not complimentary, but they waived it for us, and also presented us with a complimentary tiramisu, even though we ordered the tiramisu from the menu that was much nicer.
