Cafe Remix - Review - Downtown - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Cafe Remix is a Federal Way coffee and Korean snack shop that has relocated to Downtown Seattle. They mostly sell caffeinated drinks alongside a wide selection of Korean potato chips, candy, and instant noodles. But there’s also a limited hot food menu that changes often, ranging from souffle pancakes to kimbap. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Kayla Sager-Riley

Highly recommend the Ube souffle. It was so good! The Uber souffle earned them the 5 stars. We also got the kimbap which was very big due to them putting alot of lettuce in it. My group ended picking out much of the lettuce. We were not used to so much lettuce in our kimbap

I’m super excited scores to write this review thjs was the ONLY ONLY reason I went to Seattle and it did not disappoint. So good I had it 2 days in a row. Clean place very well kept and relaxing. Great staff kind and attentive. Ohhhhhhhh this was so good. SOUFFLÉ DELICIOUS DELICIOUS. strawberry mango was fire fire and then I had the strawberry strawberry. Really great souffle and friendly service! I got the strawberry matcha souffle and it was really good. Very soft and airy souffle pancake. Flavor reminded me of a very fluffy crumpet. Delish matcha whipped cream and fresh strawberries. Taking off one star though because the coffee was not good. Latte tasted like drip coffee. I didn’t try their signature drinks, so those are probably better.

This is located a couple of blocks from the iconic Pike Place Market. Parking is very difficult to find, especially with the one-way streets in this area. It would be good to pay for parking at Pike Place or the pay parking lots near by. We came for the fluffy asian egg pancakes and the Korean street food. The food is made-to-order but it is a wait for the pancakes, which was for us about 45-minutes. The other dine-in food was okay but definitely catered to the masses. If you are looking for an introduction to Korean food, it's a great start. The flavors are going to match most American fare tastes. The pricing is what you expect to pay in Seattle but a bit overpriced for what it is. Coffee was solid. Didn't ask, but the taste was South American. Service was good, but there is no table service so please don't expect them to be bringing water or your food to the table. We did love the atmosphere and young hip vibe of the venue. They have a bunch of asian snacks and instant grab and go foods out to give the asian vibe. Midas 3.5-star for the overall experience and hip vibe. Definitely go for the pancakes and coffee.

Came here for a snack before walking the Pike Market. They had a huge menu with lots of choices. We landed on a watermelon feta sandwich with balsamic vinegar and arugula. Along with a watermelon drink that had a sweet milk. Both were fresh tasting and delicious. There weren't a lot of good descriptions of what the ingredients were for the large menu selection, so it was hard to know what was gluten free.

I had some souffle pancakes during a trip to Japan recently, so I've been looking for where I could have them here. This isn't it. For $15 I got two barely cooked pancakes. I know souffle pancakes are supposed to be soft but these were *wet* while my wife's was cooked properly.

Best pancakes we’ve ever had. Best in Seattle, no questions asked. Ordered both Matcha Strawberry and OG souffle pancakes. They are light in texture, but huge in size! Couldn’t have anything else after eating this. We’ll certainly come back for those bagels soon 🫣

Spent under $30 for 2 people to eat. 1 savory, 1 sweet, 2 drinks. First time visiting. Would come back! We came around 3:40pm. 3-4 groups in the shop when we arrived. Ordered at the front then picked a seat. Drinks and savory food came out in less than 5 minutes. They waited until we were done with savory to then give us our sweet order which was nice to space out. We got the bulgogi beef bento, OG soufflé pancakes, pink yogurt ade, and 16oz city mocha. Bento came with beef, salad, rice, kimchi, dressing. Beef and dressing were flavorful. My personal preference would be for the kimchi to be spicier or have 2 options for kimchi (mild/spicy). Portion size was perfect for splitting between 2 people. We liked how much onion and green onion was in the bulgogi. OG pancakes had the texture of a marshmallow. Served with butter and syrup. We ended up requesting a bit more syrup. There are more fun flavors to try like ube corn and strawberry matcha. These were interesting to try, I’m glad we split them as a whole order to myself would have been too much soft texture to eat in one sitting. City mocha was the highlight of the visit. Yogurt ade had a lingering ‘artificial’ sports drink flavor that I didn’t care too much for, but the yogurt layer at the bottom of the drink was really good. Similar flavor profile to mixing sprite and yakult. I would not get this specific drink again, but I would try something else. Lots of seating and WiFi. No charging outlets - come with your device already charged if you plan to stay to work for a bit. Lots of cute snacks and they had a row of instant ramen and a microwave which we loved. Played lots of k-pop at a very appropriate volume, we could still talk to each other but also enjoyed listening. No cash, no tax, no tips. Clean and well lit space, nice staff.
