The 16 Best Restaurants in Laval, Quebec | Eater Montreal

"The second location of the St-Lambert daytime-only café brings Quebecois celebrity chef Ricardo Larrivée’s crowd-pleasing recipes to Laval. From inventive cakes (think peach and chamomile cake and a salted caramel mille feuille pot) to spicy corn ribs and a shish taouk-style chicken burger , the café serves well-styled versions of the latest comfort food trends. Drinks include global wines, local beers and ciders, and cocktails mixed with Quebec spirits." - Erinn Blicher

Fantastic and friendly service. The menu changes every season. The food is delicious and modern (breakfast/brunch style). However, it's 💲💲for the portion. It's a super popular spot so please make sur to make a reservation, especially on the weekend. In the pictures (putting a star next to recommended dishes) ⭐- Burratina and Roasted Figs and Pomegranata to share ⭐- Soup of the Day (Sweet Potato) - Gin & Honey salmon gravlax Bagel - Grilled Cheese - Gaspor Farms sausage and bacon breakfast sandwich ⭐- Egg Benedict skillet with Smoked salmon ⭐⭐⭐- Selection of cupcakes (delicious chocolat and caramel cupcake).

Great atmosphere, cakes and amazing but overpriced. But at least their good :) ... What ruins it for me is the food. Easily double the price of a restaurant but with half of the food. A nice presentation is NOT enough to increase the price and reduce the food. It just makes no sense.

A cozy café in Centropolis. Inventive food, great service and very friendly staff. The warm and elegant decor creating a pleasant atmosphere ideal to either go for lunch with fiends, family gathering or a Sunday "tête-à-tête" brunch. A tiny minus point is, there are too few items on the menu, lunch and brunch are similar, it doesn't take long for me to taste every items from the menu and go through several times before they change the menu.

I brought a client here for lunch and was incredibly disappointed. The salmon tartare is half quinoa. So despite being the most expensive plate on the menu at $32 it was a small portion of salmon mixed into quinoa. The chicken in the chicken salad was rubbery and had a strange texture and look to it. Almost looked like a thick cold cut rather than a fresh piece of grilled chicken (which it most definitely was not). It's unfortunate because the cafe is beautiful and the plates are pretty but food quality is really poor.

I loved it! You have to try it. The environment, the customer service, the different options you have. I had a savory and a sweet dish which they anticipate we will share and arranged the table for that, so nice. The savory waffles with gravlax was SUPER good and the "pain dore" had an amazing mixture of texture all that I expect from a restaurant. Additionally, you have Ricardo store next to it with 10% of discount if you eat at the restaurant

This isn’t my first time going to Ricardo’s for brunch and I’ve never had any complaints. This review is to highlight an incredible employee by the name of Noémie. The service she provided us today was fantastic. She went above and beyond to answer our questions, recommend her favorite desserts which were delicious and just made us feel welcome.

I went here for brunch today and the prices are ridiculous for what you get. I ordered the croque madame. It was one piece of toast with a little bit of cheese and barely any porchetta. Whoever made my plate was very stingy and 70% of it was a mediocre salad. Just this was $24… very outrageous pricing for such little food.

Third year in a row that Mother's Day was celebrated at Cafe Ricardo in Laval. We were all very disappointed!!! We were looking forward to one of our favorite cocktails...the Basil sour. Unfortunately, it was a poor representation of the original recipe, which I duplicate occasionally at home. Secondly, we were shocked as the bus girl reached across the table between 2 people that were still eating to take my empty plate...unacceptable!!! Thirdly, a requested desert was no longer available due yo the fact that they had run out....the excuse given was that it was Mother's Day???...the restaurant was fully reserved ...all were aware of the number attending. We expected much better!!!!
