the tzatziki with the warm bread is phenomenal. iskender kebab is also very delicious. great portion sizes. our servers were very kind and efficient, but i wished they would check in on us once during our meal. the atmosphere, decor could be improved, but it's very spacious, reminds me of an american diner with booth seatings.

One of my favorite places to get Turkish and Mediterranean food! All of their foods were fresh and flavorful! They have a large space to hold lots of people and even have a private dining space too. The service was spectacular. They also have a very large parking space in the front, the back and to the side. My favorite was the beef plate that they had but everything that we had was delicious, the service was super friendly. I highly recommend and would come back.

Had an excellent experience at Cafe Sabah. The Turkish food was authentic and Zabeeha Halal, which was important to me. The flavors were rich and well-balanced. I also had the pleasure of meeting the restaurant owner, it was great chatting and hearing his journey. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for quality Turkish cuisine and warm hospitality.

This was our first visit, and everything was fantastic! The food was delicious, and the dessert selection was amazing. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

If you're craving Turkish food, this is the place to go. We didn't leave a single grain of rice left on our plates. Everything is flavorful and delicious! I highly recommend the mixed grill plate if you want to try a little of everything. Their chicken wings plate is also delicious! Can't forget about the best Tres Leches around to finish up your meal. We had 8 people and shared 4 main dishes, 2 appetizers, 2 desserts and a pot of Turkish tea.

Amazing Turkish food and hospitality! From the lentil soup to the kebab and lamb shank, everything was delicious, but the juicy manti and their unforgettable baklava really stood out🤍 The Turkish tea and coffee served in traditional cups made the whole experience feel extra special. You can really feel the care they put into every dish. This place instantly reminded me of my trips to Turkey. And the portions are big with very fair prices — I was honestly impressed😍😍

I recently visited Sabah, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious — full of authentic Turkish flavors and perfectly prepared. Every dish tasted fresh and homemade, especially the kebabs, lentil soup, and baklava. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with beautiful décor that made me feel like I was dining in Turkey. For a first-time experience, Cafe Sabah exceeded our expectations! We selected the Shepherd salad (a delectable combination of cucumber, tomatoes, parsley, and pomegranate vinaigrette); appetizers: Cigar roll (rich feta cheese and a crunchy roll on the outside, smothered with tzatziki sauce) and falafel (crisp bites served with tahini sauce); main courses: Chicken gyro plate (a generous serving and savory delight) and Adana (lamb) Kebab plate (generous and authentically satisfying); and for dessert: Pistachio Kadaif (exquisite!) and Turkish custard (rich, creamy, and lingering sweetness). The owner and staff are incredibly warm and attentive. The restaurant and its facilities are very clean and precisely arranged. Highly recommended for a future dining experience! We enjoy going here! The service is good and the food is outstanding. I love their babganush and flat bread. Everything is fresh and flavorful. My kid was getting hangry and the nice lady gave her a lolly while waiting for the food. They have parking in the back too. There is a lot to try out! You can't go wrong with the popular items like their kebabs and salads. They have plenty of seating and you can kind of see into the kitchen and you know it's good when you see the chefs carefully hussle.

Low on spice but high on flavor, i love Turkish Kebabs. Turkish cuisine is all about letting the natural taste of the meat shine through the flame, and no one does it better. Cafe Sabah is one of my absolute favorite spots for Turkish food in the Seattle area, and their mixed grill platter is my go-to. It comes with seven different kebabs, giving you a little bit of everything, and every time I've had it, it's been consistently great. Here's my latest experience, ranked from my favorite to least favorite: Beef Meatballs (Köfte): These are hands-down some of the best köftes I've had in the U.S. dense, juicy, seasoned beautifully with Turkish herbs, and grilled just right. They're moist and slightly pink in the center, with delicious mild chars on the outside. 5/5 Turkish-Style Beef Steak: Thinly sliced, lightly marinated, and grilled over open flame. Turkish steaks are intentionally done thin, which can be tricky to keep moist but Cafe Sabah nails it. It's tender, savory, and carries that amazing charcoal-grilled aroma. 4.5/5 Lamb Chops: Smoky on the outside, tender and flavorful inside. Rich, bold lamb flavor that makes every bite satisfying. 4.25/5 Chicken Shish Kebab: Always well-marinated, juicy, and flavorful. Chicken can easily turn dry on the grill, but they manage to keep it perfectly cooked every time. 4/5 Adana Kebab: Classic minced meat skewer: flavorful, and well-textured. It's not the absolute best Adana I've ever had, but easily one of the best in the Greater Seattle area. 3.75/5 Beef Doner: Thin, juicy slices that work beautifully with bread or rice. Soft, tender, and well-seasoned, it does exactly what a good doner should do. 3.75/5 Chicken Doner: Personally, my least favorite on the plate. I find Turkish-style chicken doner a bit gamey and dry, which seems to be a trait of the preparation style rather than execution. Iraqi shawarmas sometimes share that same texture profile. So it might be a matter of personal taste. 2.75/5 With all these comes a portion of jasmine rice -- fragrant and light. Just keep in mind: Turkish cuisine traditionally serves small portions of rice, which is actually quite healthy but might feel a bit small if you're expecting a heavier base. My tip: ask for some Turkish bread on the side if you're craving more carbs. The platter also comes with a refreshing yogurt dip, which balances the meats perfectly. Beiti kebab: I often go the extra mile and order the Beiti Kebab separately, specially when my party is 3+. Since it's wrapped in soft lavash and drizzled with warm tomato-butter sauce, Beiti Kebab is at its absolute best when enjoyed dine-in, fresh off the grill, juicy, and comforting, with a side of yogurt to cool it all down. Unfortunately this place is not what it used to be. The food flavor has changed and so is the service. I am not sure if they hired a new manager or if the place was sold but this is not the same restaurant I used to go to and enjoy.

This place is so delicious the service dont even matter, but yes they have good service. The inside is also nice, but not over the top. Everything i tried was almost the best I ever had.... the end.

A very non- descript place in a strip mall like area. The food is exceptionally good. There were four of us and we sampled a lot of different things and all of them were quite good. We had no expectations going in, but came away very impressed with the quality of the food and flavors. They have a menu item of an appetizer where you can select four different items on the menu. All four of ours were spectacular. The fun part is you get to choose the four out of eight or so on the menu that you want. Again, a fairly pedestrian setting, but well worth the visit. The best lamb kebab I've had in years . . .

My wife and I ate here and I was pumped because we are going to Istanbul in the spring. Thought we would have a good experience with food and service. I don't think I have ever been to a place where they literally ignore you. It was really strange.. I had to ask to put our order in, I had to ask for additional sauces and I had to ask for the bill. Such a turn off! And the food was ok, the meat was barely warm. I hope this place is not a reflection of what's to come in Istanbul. I am sure it's not.. I hope the restaurant reads this and fixes their service issues. Engage!!!

Very tasty Turkish food in Renton, on the pricey side but worth it! Private parking lot in the back. We loved all the dishes we tried: +Mix Appetizer - if you have a large party, this is a great choice. You can choose 4 different dips to try, and it comes with fresh pita bread. My favorites are baba ganoush and the grilled eggplant. +Manti - good as an appetizer to share or main entree for one. I love this pairing of minty yogurt and meat dumplings. +Mixed Grill Kebob - generous portion, all the meat were tender and delicious. +Mevlana pide - surprisingly good flavor, like an elevated pizza. I couldn't stop eating it. Dessert is too pricey and nothing special, I'd skip it. Also they serve breakfast!

Very good Turkish food! We wanted dinner to-go so we looked at the online menu which had lots to choose from. Prices were a bit more the we expected but we got 10% off our online order. So we ordered-- Kelle Pascha soup- garlicky beef tongue, beef meat soup. It was good! The tongue was very soft and tender. Came with amazing Turkish bread. Mix Appetizer- it said "pick 4" on line but we didn't get a choice somehow. No matter, they were ALL good! Tzatziki - nice but it was the least favorite of the 4. Shakshouka- eggplant, pepper and garlic in a tomato sauce. It wasn't spicy but VERY flavorful. Liked it a lot. Baba ganoush-not as heavy as we had it in other places but nice and lemony with eggplant, tomato, garlic and lemon. Hummus-very smooth. We could taste the tahini -yum! It came with a big round of Turkish bread which was soooo good and hearty. None of that flimsy pita bread you get at other places Etli Ekmek ground beef pide- it's kind of like a flat bread with stuff on top. It had ground beef with chopped tomato and green pepper. Had a lot on top and was very tasty but a little pricy for what we got (6 pieces) Gosleme-stuffed flat bread. You could have it stuffed with spinach, potato, cheese or ground meat. We chose the spinach and we really liked that. Pistachio Kadaif- dessert with pistachio and phyllo and I think honey. It was not overly sweet and the texture and flavor made it another of our favorite. There were more we wanted to try but alas, we were too stuffed! Def coming to dine in to try more. It was a great meal!

Authentic and Delicious Turkish Cuisine Cafe Sabah offers an incredible taste of Turkey with authentic flavors and warm hospitality. I've gone for breakfast with a group of friends and then returned for lunch by myself. The waitress had great suggestions for those not familiar with Turkish food. I tried the menemen, pide and appetizers. The baklava was the perfect sweet finish. With excellent service and a cozy atmosphere, this spot is a must-visit for Turkish food lovers!

Came here with group of friends and really liked the food. Was disappointing with service being extremely slow, we came here pretty hungry and the wait time was too much. Even our appetizers came out late. Appetizers- Veg flatbread was good, appetizers flight was great. The bread came out so cold, wish it was warm. Main course was a hit with us, everything was spot on- Eggs, Meat and soup. Deserts were soo disappointing, nothing seemed good, we tried 3 of them. Great place for Mediterranean food scene in Renton, much needed infact.

10 out of 10!! The food the service and the decor! I recently went to Turkey an fell in love with the food. When Cafe Sabah popped on my radar I knew I needed to try it. I walked in and saw all the Turkish lamps and just knew that I was going to have a great experience! Our server was so friendly and kind enough to humor me when I told her my travel story. But the food!! Everything we ate was just like when we were there!!! Super authentic and amazing! We had a smorgasbord! We had the mixed appetizer, the mixed grill, and french fry's and the cigar rolls. You must go!! I will be back very soon!!

Great authentic spot. We had the adana kebab which was super juicy. My kids love the rack of lamb.

We've ordered pickup a couple times within the past year. It seemed as if our order was forgotten and then rushed when my husband arrived to pick it up most recently although the restaurant was empty at the time. Nevertheless, the food tasted delicious. Ordered the cold appetizer mix, etli ekmek ground beef pide, and manti. The appetizers stretched over a couple meals (I'd recommend ordering another side of bread) and we ate everything else. Every dish was fresh, flavorful and balanced each other out. We also ordered the pistachio kadaif but they were out so they replaced with the burma kadaif since we already paid - wasn't my favorite though.

Very good experience overall: large, airy dining room, friendly staff, quick prep of tasty food. The kitchen was heavily staffed even at 2:30 p.m. (we came in for a late lunch), and they cranked out our meal in less than 20-30 minutes. The food was hot, well-seasoned and all of the meats in the mixed grill were to our liking for the most part (beef steak was not very tender, but it was sirloin/a low fat cut = somewhat to be expected). Our favorite items were the lamb chops, Adana and chicken kebabs. Lahmajoun was crisp at the edges, and the topping/seasoning was delicious. We also tried the baba ganoush and pita - the eggplant was lightly smoked, and nicely balanced with peppers. Pita was good, not great. It's not made to order, but they do a serviceable job of reheating it. Save room for dessert - they have a wide variety in the pastry case (Kadaif is hard to find locally).

Food here is good but nothing special. I came with a small group of friends and we all agreed that the food was a bit lacking in flavor. Ambience is good. This is a family-friendly restaurant that can accommodate groups. We came on a Friday night at 5:30pm. There were plenty of open tables but the restaurant was full and parking was packed by the time we left around 7pm. Service here is fine too, but again, nothing noteworthy.

Great food, friendly service, and a nice, laid-back vibe. I really appreciated how careful they were with the gluten--huge plus for me! The owner, Kareem, is such a sweetheart, walking around and checking in on everyone to make sure they're happy with their meal. It was my first time here, but definitely not my last! I had the lamb chops plate, lentil soup, and hummus, and everything was absolutely delicious!

Whenever I discover a Turkish restaurant around here I get so excited because I feel like there's not enough Turkish restaurants and Turkish food is pretty AMAZING. This gem was such a good discovery and will be one of my go-to spots for delicious Turkish food. The restaurant has plenty of seating and space inside with a extensive variety of Turkish dishes to choose from. What we ordered: Lahmacun, Beyti, Chopped Meat Pide. Everything was made fresh to order and took me back to my last trip to Turkey. Fresh and crispy, the Lahmacun is a must-order and the Pide was one of my favorite. The Beyti was very flavorful but be warned that it is a bit on the spicy side. I'll definitely be back for more! This restaurant seems like the perfect place to dine on any occasion. If you're looking for a delightful Turkish spot, this one is it!

We had the best Mediterranean lunch at Cafe Sabah during our trip to WA. The staff immediately greeted and seated us at a booth in the middle of the restaurant. For a party of 3, we wanted to try it all and ordered a little of everything. Shepherd Salad (5/5) - refreshing salad that paired well with the hearty meats; I loved the pomegranate salad dressing Hummus (5/5) - delicious creamy smooth hummus Moutabbal (4/5) - roasted eggplant with tahini and yogurt was tasty Mix Grill Kebab (4/5) - great dish to share between 2-3 people. I enjoyed the variety of meats we were able to try. Lahmajoun (4/5) - side comes with tomatoes, onions, and parsley, the lamb flavor was strong Chopped meat pide (5/5) - small chunks of beef on a Turkish flatbread Turkish Tea - strong black tea

We are back and Loved everything we had here again. This time we tried a few different items. Menemen- tomatoes with eggs and onions and some bread. So refreshing and filling. Would have this any days for breakfast or lunch. Kind of like scramble eggs with chunky tomatoes. Lahmajoun- like think crust pizza with a thin layer of minced meat. Top with pinions cilantro tomatoes and lemon juice. Love! Not too heavy nor greasy. Rice pudding- not too sweet. Nice texture and adding ground cinnamon is perfect. Still amazing: Cheese pide- like plain cheese pizza without the red sauce. Lentil soup- Different spices than Indian lentil soup. Not spicy but refreshing and comforting like a leek and potato soup. I truly believed the quality of their ingredients made a difference. Nice family owned restaurant. Will be back for sure!

Visited her for lunch this past Sunday with my dad. Friends had been and suggested it. It's in the Sunset neighborhood of Renton. They told us to take a table and gave us menus but think we got lost a little in the shuffle cause we had to wait a bit to order but they quickly recovered and apologized. I had to ask for water, but it arrived quickly. Service was friendly and food arrived in good time. We started with baba ganoush I enjoyed their take on it a little chunkier than I have had at other places but I enjoyed it that way. Was fresh and almost like a egg plant bruschetta. We split the CHICKEN GYRO PLATE and LAHMAJOUN. Generous portions. Love that both dishes come with fresh vegetables that off sets the protein. The Lahmajoun was a favorite of mine had a slight kick but nothing that took away from the flavor of the lamb and beef. Love the crisp lightness of the crust the raw onions, tomato and parsley really makes it perfect. Looking forward to bringing a friend this is his kind of place. Will be able to try some more items off the menu.

Great Turkish food with more choices than the typical Middle Eastern fast casual place. Lots of pide (stuffed flatbread), appetizers, even menemen and manti. I associate the latter more with Afghani food, but this place could be regional. I would come back and try that dish if they had a vegetarian version. We ordered the mixed appetizer plate (your choice which was great!), menemen, chicken shawarma for my son, and a couple of desserts. The food was very good. The dips came with thick Turkish bread. I love pita but also like to try different bread styles. It was really nice to try some things that are rarely on menus, even on Turkish menus. We would love to come back and try more of the desserts too because what we tried was so good.

I'm so glad this restaurant is in the Renton Highlands neighborhood! I don't have much experience with "Turkish" cuisine, but the Mix Grill Kebab platter was huge and so delicious! I loved the presentation of the platter, too! Very friendly service and the chef/cooks were all nice and hospitable, too. There's plenty of seating inside the restaurant and there are cool lights hanging from the ceiling that gives that Mediterranean vibe. Definitely a must try restaurant!

Lovely place!! The portions were a little smaller than I had expected but everything was delicious! It's a little expensive but I would definitely come back again and try different dishes! The service was great too.

We enjoyed several dishes from the menu and couldn't be happier with our experience. The food was delicious. The service was over the top helpful, and it was really a treat to meet the owners today. The entrance and spacious dining area have a warm and beautiful appearance with a fireplace and colorful lanterns. We really love mediterranean and Middle Eastern food so there were several dishes that were familiar to us. Hummus with meat, fasulye & rice, menemen (loved!), and lahmajoun- meat pie. Cafe Sabah restaurant in Renton, WA will definitely be on our "return soon" list.

As soon as I walked in, I knew that the owners know what they are doing. One can see into the kitchen was busy but appeared to be running smoothly. Our server was exceptional, friendly, but professional. I wasn't super hunger, but that did not keep me from ordering humus with meat, fasolia (white beans), meat pie, and a breakfast dish call Menemen which is eggs and tomatoes among other things. Everything was so good. We were lucky enough to talk to the owners. They act like we are friends from years ago... They have their own large private parking lot. It is definitely worth the drive from Portland. The menu is extensive, so will drive there soon to try few more things... Go there now. I think you'll make it if you are driving from Portland right now, as they are open until 10:00 PM.

Came into this restaurant to try Turkish food for the first time. I came in and was greeted and seated right away. I waited for about 5-10 minutes before I got a menu BUT there were a lot of people in the dining area and she was the only one taking all the tables so I understand. Ended up ordered manti to go. It came out in about 15 minutes. Couldn't even wait so I tried it in the car. It's meat wrapped in a pasta smothered in yogurt sauce and paprika butter which next time I will add extra. It tasted delicious. The meat was flavorful, the pasta was well cooked, the tanginess from the yogurt was interesting, rounded out by the flavorful paprika butter at the end. I definitely will come back here to try everything else! They do have a parking lot which is nice as well!

Decided to try take out again, and it was such a different experience! Again, the people working were pleasant but the food exceeded my expectations this time. Delicious!!! Can't wait to go back and try more tasty things!

Came up to WA from San Diego to visit some family with my wife over the weekend. looking for a place to eat dinner and we found Sabah. came in and were right away greeted joyfully by staff which was nice. I wasn't feeling 100% so I ordered the lentil soup and my wife went for the egg planted stewed with meat. Both dishes were delicious and since my wife doesnt eat much, I decided to help myself to her order as well. Gotta say, flavors were on point! after we left to head back to our family's home were we were staying, we told them were we had dinner and they were actually kind of jealous and wished they could of joined us. I guess it's one of their go to spots. I'm definitely making sure to go with them next time we are in town.

I've been holding on reviewing for a little while, but when we decided to make a spontaneous trip recently, I felt like I was left with no choice but to finally review it. One thing that you should be aware of is that if you're getting an entree dessert and drink, it will cost you about $40 a person. If you add an appetizer to that, it's close to $50. A person. Decide to put that up front, just so you aren't surprised and are expecting to spend a little bit more here. It's worth it though for the price. Service was fast and friendly, and the server even offered to make recommendations, helped with pronunciation of the dish names and even translated a couple of them because we were curious. Food came out in a timely manner and I can definitely say that the ingredients are fresh. Our friend ordered a meat platter to sample all of the different kinds of meat and it was really beautifully plated. Recommendations: Appetizer: Cigar rolls (cheese stuffed filo dough) Entree: Mix grill kabob (meat platter. Good for table/sampling) Manti Lamb kabob Dessert: Sekerpare (made in-house! ACTUAL RATING: 3.5 Stumbled across this place when searching for a halal restaurants on yelp! Overall had a pretty good experience, when we had entered the restaurant it was slow so we were immediately seated and given menus. As we placed our orders the place started to get busy. I believe there was one server/waitress so service was slow and not very attentive as we had been waiting for our waters for a good 15-20 minutes after initially asking and finally got them after asking for a second time - I would suggested probably providing water as customers are seated to their tables. As for food it was fairly good, the meats were cooked perfectly, however the side salads weren't fresh and seemed like a day or two old - almost had a brown look to them. The hummus was one of my favorite it was light and flavorful with a smooth texture, the bread to go with it was a perfect combo. I personally found the pepperoni pide and isekander kebab to be salty but not too overpowering. The cigar rolls were also good I like to think of them as their version of mozzarella sticks. The knafeh was OK not much of a cheese pull and was a bit cold. We were driving by and unexpectedly stumbles on this place. Food was great! Pros: Lamb is delicious Fries excellent Must order bread Fried cheese scrumptious Definitely coming back! Service was a bit slower than what I am used to, but perhaps so we could enjoy the meal longer? :)

We've been coming to cafe sabah for the past few years, and the food has changed; not for the better. We went just after 8 so perhaps that's the reason. We ordered doner, and it was one of the worst I've ever had. I think it was coated with salt as if it was being cured to try and hide the old meat. The meat was obviously not fresh, and although they use to cut it by the order, they don't make it fresh anymore. I'm so bummed because it's the closest place, but honestly McDonald's has fresher meat. Sad and bummed the food quality has gone downhill. Service was warm and friendly, but my wife didn't even want to finish her meal and we ate elsewhere.

Chicken kabob was great. Plate included half a piece of pita. Ordered it take out and forgot to ask for chili sauce but it did come with garlic sauce.

Hubby picked up take out and the food was GREAT. For about $40, it fed the two of us and our littles with leftovers to boot! I gobbled up the meat, so I'm not sure what was my favorite, but it was overall tender. We did order the homemade bread that was unfortunately not really our favorite, and we'd likely skip again. There was some sort of flatbread (?) under the meat that soaked up the juices and that was great. I definitely would be back and eager to try other items on the menu as well!

Was super excited that they opened a new restaurant in Renton...but was unfortunately pretty let down... Pide could us more toppings for the price. It also wasn't anything spectacular. I got the soujouk pide (Turkish pepperoni) and it legit came with one tiny slice per cut of pide (see picture for reference). It looked nothing like the picture in the menu! Ladies and gentlemen, please keep in mind this was over $20! The gyro plate was okay. The flavor was good, but the meat was on the dry side, for the price, again - not worth it. Finally DO NOT GET THE CIGAR ROLLS! It is nothing but a glorified mozzarella stick wrapped in Phyllo dough. Though crispy it lacked a lot of flavor! This should be less than $7! Overall from the atmosphere of the restaurant to the food to the pricing it definitely needs work...a lot of work! I unfortunately do not see myself returning.

Absolutely delicious food! The yoghurt added to the dish by bringing out the flavour of the grilled meats which were perfectly seasoned. The appetiser and desserts were totally yummy as well! Must try!!

Cafe Sabah is a jewel. Charming restaurant with friendly service featuring authentic and delicious Turkish food. We were so excited to be able to order some of our favorites from our time in Turkey including baba ganoush, ezme, Iskender kebab, manti, and Kunefe for dessert. Everything was perfection. Already hungering to return.

I'm in town for a family vacation, and we wanted to try this place out. Ordered the chicken shish kebab, lamb shish kebab, hummus, and soujouk pepperoni pide. Taste-wise, everything tasted fine. The rice was actually really good, and I liked the chicken! But the salad had minimal dressing, we were given the cheese pide instead of the pepperoni, and the hummus only came with 1 piece of bread for the entire container. Despite the mess-ups, they were very pleasant and gave us a free water bottle. Food took about 35 minutes, which I would consider middle of the road for time prepared. If I was a local, I'd probably come back.

Everything I've eaten there was delicious and authentic, and the staff are very friendly and respectful.

I have been to this restaurant with my friends more than 20 times, but after today, I will never go again. As soon as we walked in, we were met with rudeness. When we asked if we could sit at a particular table, we were simply told 'No' in a harsh tone. We ordered five soups, and it was obvious they were from the previous day. On top of that, there was a hair in the bread that came with the soup! When we pointed it out, the only response we got was that they could replace the bread--no apology, no attempt to make things right. The staff were incredibly rude and indifferent. I don't know if the management has changed, but the drop in service and hygiene standards is shocking. I had never experienced anything like this before. I definitely do not recommend this place!
