The Best Cafes in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"This micro-roasting pioneer is a utopia for coffee nerds, having made its mark on the Montreal micro-roasting scene long ago. Above and beyond your standard neighbourhood café, there are outlets in St-Henri, Verdun, Square-Victoria-OACI metro, the Latin Quarter, and Jean-Talon Market, as well as a stunning HQ near Jarry Park." - Daniel Bromberg

Loved this place. The coffee was amazing!! Reallly really good coffee compared to other places I’ve been. The shop is very nice and clean and it has lots of seating and natural light. The street outside is awesome as well Will lots of seating and people walking around.

Here is awsome. I ordered a Matcha Latte and the foam was perfect (Silky, temperature controlled, literally a great microfoam, the steam sound doesn’t bother you when the barista is working which shows how pro he is) even though it was with oat milk. service is great and so friendly, I definitely come back.

If you visit this cafe, ask for Dev! I stopped by last Saturday hoping to buy my first coffee bag for my at home setup. Dev greeted me and provided a truly amazing service. He helped me discover coffees that perfectly suited my taste, showed me how to prepare them with recipes using the tools I have at home. We had a fantastic chat, we need more cafes like this. I could not have asked for a better experience- not to mention the latte was absolutely delicious!

Very relaxing and clean. Served by Elizabeth who brewed a fresh batch of Regular coffee which is roasted by the domain Café St-Henry. Please note that this is a specialty coffee roaster and the tasting note is not your typical mass produced coffee, it is fruity and freshly roasted.

Came in because it looked cute. Left when we realized they ask 6$ for a basic coffee filter : the Barista is simply pushing the button of an airpot... more expansive than starbucks lol, strange commercial strategy. When to the Toledo at 50m for a 3,50$ coffee 👌

Very nice location. Similar to the rest. Staff was kind and efficient. I ordered a dirty chai and it was very smooth. Great cafe to work or to just socialize.

I was there on a busy day and wasn't initially planning to go Saint-Henri, but all other places around were packed while this one was empty. Should have been a red flag - but I've tried their beans before at home and quite liked it, so decided to give them a chance. First of all - while the location was pretty much empty, it was suprisingly dirty inside with more than half of the tables being to gross to use. Secondly our 6 drinks order took 20+ minutes to make which is ridiculous since there was no one around! Lastly the quality of drinks is really lacking - their base drink were okayish, but season special matcha, espresso tonic, cherry cold brew and other were uninteresting and disappointing.

The staff was nice but I got a $4.50 coffee half filled. Even after adding milk it came to 2/3. What the …the tasting coffee was horrible Croissant was fresh. Bathroom was clean. Not planning on going back. There are so many coffee shops that would give more coffee for this price.
