The food service was exceptional, with attentive staff who ensured that every aspect of the dining experience was enjoyable. The Sangria pitcher was not only a fantastic value but also brimming with vibrant flavors that perfectly complemented our meal. Each sip was refreshing and rich, making it a highlight of the evening. Additionally, the live music added a wonderful ambiance, creating an inviting atmosphere that enhanced our overall experience and made the night truly memorable.

Visited for Tapas with friends on a Tuesday evening. I recommend dinner reservations especially when a conference is in town. Service was excellent, food was very good and served quickly but we didn't feel rushed. There was indoor and outdoor seating, plus a quieter room upstairs, maybe for large groups. The bathroom is upstairs, but there is an elevator if needed.

One of the best Paella I've ever tried. We ordered both Seafood and Black Seafood in a mixed Paella. The Black Seafood Paella provides a gentle taste of Seafood, without heavy flavored rice. The Seafood one does go for a heavier taste, mixing multiple spices together. The Octopus Tapa is also on par with the main entries. Definitely a must try when visiting San Diego!

Spanish food with live music in an interesting themed environment. Lamb sliders were good. Tortilla Espanola was ok too. The meatballs were do so and the burnt brussel sprouts had a bit toouch mayo and oil. Subjective of course, depends on each person's pallette. Rose was good. Food/ wine was served quickly after ordering, however it's a busy place service time can vary ..for us it took ages to get the bill. This would be a good place for a lively energetic noisey evening out for people to enjoy themselves, especially with the live music.

Google
This place was solid. The waitress was very friendly. She disappeared sometimes and my table had to ask for her. Some of the food, like the Brussel sprouts, came with aioli dashed on them, which was not stated on the menu. I hate mayo so I found that annoying. The mushroom tapas were the best thing I ate. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food very much though!

We recently celebrated a friend’s birthday at this restuarant with a group of seven. The evening had its ups and downs, but overall, it was a memmorable experience. Reservation and Seating: The restuarant opens at 4:30 PM. I started calling right at 4:30 PM, trying 20 to 30 times, but no one answered. Around 6:30 PM, I added our party to the Yelp waitlist, which indicated a 20+ minute wait and that we were ninth in line, with an estimated seating time of 7:27 PM. We arrived at the restuarant at 8:00 PM, only to find we were still ninth on the list. Surprisingly, the restuarant wasn’t very busy, with many empty tables. It seems they don’t prioritize phone calls or the Yelp waitlist, so it’s best to just show up in person. Food and Drinks: We ordered three Mezcal drinks, which were exceptional. For appetizers, we had the vegetable brocheta, pollo brocheta, and cordero brocheta. The Papas brava was super tangy and stood out among the hot tapas. For the main course, we shared the mushroom and roasted garlic paella familia (large) and the valenciana paella familia. While we enjoyed the food, it leaned towards the tangy side. Our vegetarian friend didn’t fancy the mushroom paella and ended up ordering some bread with a dip. At the end, they kindly brought out a small cake with a candle to celebrate the birthday. Ambiance: Live music started at 8:30 PM, adding a delightful touch to the evening. The atmosphere was just right—not too loud, not too quiet. Overall: We had a good time. The food is commendable, but don’t rely on phone calls or the Yelp waitlist; it’s better to visit in person. We spent about $500 for the seven of us, which seemed reasonable for the dishes we ordered.

Google
I would give this restaurant a 10/10, but unfortunately, I have to give them an 8/10 only because of the service. Our waiter had or apps coming out all over the place. we got one before the main course, but all the others came out after. Also, they didn't out all the main courses at the same time. It took a long time just to get water. BUT THE FOOD!!!!!! HUNTY it's a 10 out of 10. I had the ribs (muah). The meat ball delicious 😋 i loved the food. So my recommendation is to go and just excuse the service for the food.

Had an absolute blast! Definitely come here if you enjoy live music and good vibes. LATINOS RISE UP!!! The live singers were great and I'm sure the food was great. I was pretty drunk, so it tasted amazing 10/10

Yelp
Simply the best! Great food service and ambiance made a difference. Flamenco show superb. Keep it up!

Yelp
Beautiful, welcoming space with an upbeat ambience. Came here with a group of 10, so we tried just about everything and were not disappointed! It's hard to pick my favorite dish, but the Pan Con Tomate is probably the best I've ever had. The octopus was also very good. The mushroom paella was a big hit for the group too. The sangria is also one of the best I've tasted. I think it's the hint of cinnamon that I loved. Service was fun and attentive, and we never felt rushed. The live music was getting started towards the end of our meal, but it was a nice addition.

Yelp
I stopped by during SD restaurant week back in January with a friend and we had a good dining experience. We sat outside at the front porch area. We were warmed up by the heaters they had setup on the cold night we dined there. The restaurant was very packed when we showed up and service was a bit on the slower side but the staff were friendly and apologized for the wait in between food courses coming out. We ordered several dishes including the paella, salchichas, croquetas, and basque cheesecake. All of the food was delicious with our favorite being the paella which came out piping hot on a huge pan. The croquetas had a good crunch on the outside with lots of cheesy filing with jambon on the inside. Watching the staff cook the salchichas at our table was awesome and they were tasty. The cheesecake was rich and creamy and a good way to end our meal. Overall, it's a decent spot for Spanish food and they have a good-sized menu with plenty of options to choose from. It can get crowded as a heads up and they also have a nightclub so it can get a little crazy on the weekends! Service is friendly and it's a great place for large parties or to celebrate a special occasion.

Yelp
We had a reservation at 7p on a Thursday night. It wasn't all that crowded but I suspect it may get packed on the weekend. Parking in Gaslamp still kinda sucks, so might be easier to rideshare in. We love the decor and the ambiance. Really warm and festive feeling. Half way through our night they had live music, which was awesome. The service fell very short. We spent half our night trying to flag down our waitress. She kinda forgot about us so when we had to get going we ended getting helped by another waiter. It really wasn't that busy, she was surprised when she tried to ring us up (again) and we said we already paid. The food was hit or miss. We got the Journey Through Spain which was 5 items starting from appetizer to dessert made for 2ppl. The Halibut and Shrimp Civiche was good, and I could just eat this all night. The Datiles Relleno (dates wrapped in bacon) was also notable. The Croquetas de Queso y Jamón tasted like fancy fried mozzarella sticks but I'm not opposed to it. Avoid the Paella Valenciana, really fishy tasting. The Cheesecake was nice but nothing for me to brag about. Well, both my partner and I got a real bad stomachache at the end our date night here leaving us with regrets. So we can't really say we recommend this place. Great ambiance, underwhelming service and the food left us with a bad night.

Yelp
I loved the ambience the moment I walked in. It felt like I was back in Madrid. I took advantage of happy hour and the restaurant week 3-course dinner menu. I tried: Halibut & Shrimp Ceviche Spanish Salchichas a la Plancha Croquetas de Queso y Jamon Salmon con Chorizo 16-hour Rioja Braised Short Ribs Basque Cheesecake Crema Catalana Sangria

Yelp
We were in town from Chicago on Christmas Eve. Here are some of my thoughts: --Our server was outstanding, very attentive without being intrusive. Friendly. --The ambiance was excellent! Live music and nicely decorated for the holidays. --Our meat paella was good, as were the tapas. The meatball was our favorite. Highly recommended!

Yelp
One of the most memorable meals I've had in San Diego! Reservation was for 8:45 PM on a Saturday night and we waited for 15 minutes to get a table inside. Live music was quite loud but the ambiance was so much fun. Service was super friendly but definitely on the more relaxed side--we were at the restaurant until 11:15 PM. Standouts: * Pan Con Tomate: Fresh tasting and with a heavy olive flavor, was super delicious with the evoo * Calamari: Well fried, and the garlic aioli was fantastic * Seafood Paella: Took 45 minutes to come out, but was perfectly cooked and had a decent amount of seafood on it The hostess was super kind--there was a mixup with our reservation location which I caught the day before and she was able to find an open slot for me. Great spot for Spanish food in Gaslamp!

Yelp
Food offering during the Happy Hour has a great selection to try with your "HH" drinks. We tried Calamari, Bacon Wrapped Date with blue cheese and patatas brava they were all good tasting food. We also, tried their seafood paella (no picture sorry) it was delicious. Having visited Spain food was great and close enough to experience Spanish favors. Oh! Their coffee cream brûlée was great! (sorry no picture) Service was good since we did not have a reservation we were seated outside with heating lamps. Placing orders was a bit slow but made up for arrival of foods and drinks in no time. Ambiance we were happy to have heating lamps since it was a little cold outside. We noticed the nice decor of the restaurant when we went to use the bathroom it was tastefully done. This spot would be on our repeat list for "HH" decent price and great food!

Yelp
Love coming here! Haven't been here in years and it's still was the same great experience. The manger was super friendly and helpful and found us a table that allowed 2 plus a high chair. Our server was nice! It was a little loud, but in a fun way. Good was great! Will definitely be back
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped for dinner and ended up agreeing on the traditional paella valenciana. The ambiance was nice and the show was lively and really kept the vibe going. The service was nice and everyone was helpful and checked on us multiple times. The paella didn't take long and was good. The protein to rice ratio was pretty nice. My only qualms was that the chicken was mediocrely cooked. It was just way too big of pieces with everything else so it burned. Would we try it again? probably!

Yelp
This place is packed with awesomeness!! One of the best live performances. Spanish and English music. Perfect atmosphere for dining. Menu has good options and also the taste are top of the class. There is a dance floor below the main dining hall. Although it is very pricey! Bottle of water cost $12.

Yelp
Lovely romantic setting. We were gifted the experience and our server Kylie was fantastic. She made great recommendations and was very friendly. All the meat on the carne platter was exceptional. The bar also a great job on making traditional old fashions

Yelp
We went back to CAFE SEVILLA for Paella, another great year for them in Taste of the Gaslamp 2024. DELICIOUS, DELICIOUS Paella!!!

Yelp
It's been some time since I visited, and the place looks a bit different--though I might be confusing it with another venue. I recall more booths previously. In any case, I came for happy hour with a few friends. The men opted for whiskey-based cocktails, while we chose watermelon margaritas. As someone who generally avoids te-kill-ya, I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth the drink was. For tapas, we enjoyed a variety of dishes: calamari served with two distinct sauces, flavorful croquettes (a personal favorite), octopus ceviche, and date rellenos (which may be an acquired taste for some). We also tried short rib tacos (two per order) and fish tacos (2 per order). I substituted chipotle for chimichurri on the short ribs, and the result was fantastic--moist, flavorful, with a nice chipotle kick. The ceviche had a bold flavor, and the avocado offered a creamy balance. Our server, Stephen (or Steven, I believe), was excellent and handled our lively group with ease. The small tables made ordering multiple tapas a bit tricky, but the staff was great about bringing out dishes in stages and swapping plates. The atmosphere is upscale, lending a dressier vibe, though some of us were dressed more casually after work and still felt comfortable. We left right as the band was setting up. I would definitely return!

Yelp
Our group of six went here for our first dinner in San Diego for our ladies trip. We were not disappointed. We made a reservation ahead of time about 30 days in advance when we were planning our itinerary. When we arrived, someone greeted us right away. Since we did an early dinner before a show, it was not too busy at this time. They sat us at a high top right away. Matthew was our server and bartender. He was AMAZING!! Excellent service from start to finish, was able to balance all the tables on the floor and the bar, and was extremely attentive the entire time. He smiled the entire time and gave us great recommendations on food and drinks. We had a birthday celebration and he sang in an incredible voice (like an opera performance) and brought out a plate of dessert with a candle and our order of churros. All our food, drinks, and dessert was so yummy! Service was wonderful. Restaurant is nicely decorated, spacious, and clean. If you're looking for a good Latin restaurant in gaslamp, Sevilla is the place! Look for Matthew :) What we ordered: Papas brava Croquetas de queso Calamari Shrimp tacos Baked empanadas Quiche-no meet Churro with chocolate dip

Yelp
Always friendly people from the very first moment you walk up to the front. Drinks are solid and well-balanced, never feel too lightly-poured or anything. The food is great - all of the tapas we've ever had are excellent, from the simple bread and goat cheese to the croquetas, to the empanadas, the figs, ribs, etc. The entrees are nice-sized, and very flavorful, and they make one of the better restaurant paellas around. All that said, I would avoid going during Restaurant Week if you can. We didn't know it was going on, and got to our 7:15pm reservation a couple minutes before. We were kindly greeted by told to go to the third line-up that we saw, which was the line for people with reservations. Seemed like an awfully long line for reservations, but we went along with it. No movement after 10 minutes, and after about 20 minutes, the people in front of us were told that it would be roughly another 30 minutes. We figured we had no options, since every other restaurant was probably booked as well, so we just waited. The people in front of us did get their table right about when promised, so they waited FIFTY MINUTES for a party of 3 when they had a reservation at 7:00. We "only" waited forty minutes, so I guess we should feel lucky. Cafe Sevilla - we eat there every time we're down, and you'll notice that due to the fact that it's always been great, I still gave you 5 stars even though this is unacceptable - I figure anybody can have a bad night, especially during a crazy week. Hopefully that was a one-time occurrence, otherwise we'll have to take you out of our "must go" places if it happens again.

Yelp
I'm not sure if it's every night or just the day we went, but they had live music, and the inside of the restaurant was essentially a bar and dance area. The vibe and live music were great! However, if you're coming here for dinner, you'll be seated outside. Our server seemed like he was handling all the tables outside on his own, which seemed quite challenging for him. As for the food, everything was okay, but there were definitely some issues. The octopus was a bit tough in the center, though the flavor was good. The braised short rib was dry in the middle, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the seafood paella was excellent, with great flavor and a generous amount of fresh seafood. We also tried a pear cocktail, which tasted great as well.
google avatar

Jack L.

Yelp
We got the 4 course tasting menu for 5 people since it seemed like a great deal. Food was great BUT super hard to split with 5 people since they kept giving us 4 portions. Super strange since the tasting menu is for 4+ people so they said it's ok for 5 people. Paella was the bright spot. Very well cooked flavors in the rice. May come back but never doing the tasting menu again. Also it's pretty loud with live music so great for celebrations but not so great for conversations.
google avatar

Yelp
Honestly love Cafe Sevilla. We stopped in for happy hour and had a really good time. It's great that it lasts until 6:30pm. Loved the spicy octopus ceviche. Tender octopus, the right amount of citrus, and crisp grilled bread with avocado to round it all out. Lamb sliders were really tender also. It almost melted in your mouth and the French bread wasn't too hard nor did it cut up my mouth. Glad it came with greens because your boy tries to stay regular. Can't not have croquettes at a Spanish restaurant! Fried, cheesy, slightly spicy. Came with a little tomato sauce underneath to offset the rich fried goodness. Just got beer and an espresso martini to drink but no complaints. Food came out super quick, which we appreciated since this was our first stop for happy hour. They also have tons of different paellas to choose from and would probs try that next time.
google avatar

Kathy B.

Yelp
Good Happy Hour specials. Love their traditional sangria here. Tapa sizes are generous. The Calamares Fritos are especially good and the Papas Brava were also well received. The tasty Valencia Paella Familia and a the two tapas previously mentioned was enough food for four women to share. Service could have been better as our server seemed distracted (he was staring off and repeated a pitcher of sangria when we had ordered a glass of sangria) and kept trying to upsell, while forgetting to bring water until asked a second time.
google avatar

Scott H.

Yelp
Fried calamari, enormous portion and tasted great. Shrimp tacos, chicken tacos, both outstanding. Shrimp and halibut ceviche top notch. The only thing I wasn't very fond of, the bacon wrapped dates. Somehow I missed the fact that it's bacon wrapped to start with. Just not very flavorful. Inadvertently came in during happy hour so prices were quite reasona
google avatar

Christina L.

Yelp
The service was wonderful and the vibe of the place is just amazing! It gives off a very cozy feeling with lots of friendly energy but their food is just okay. For the price paid, I expected the food to be at least enjoyable especially the paella. The paella came out looking very pretty but the flavor is a little bland and the rice was soggy. Like there's soft rice and then there's soggy rice. Still a cool restaurant to go with friends for the great environment!
google avatar

Lovina A.

Yelp
We came here during a weeknight and it was still so packed! Love the live music and how lively it was even on a weeknight! We had the traditional paella and it was really good! The only downside is it can be a bit pricey for its portion. We also had the sangria and it definitely did not disappoint. I love how tasty and sweet it is, you can barely taste the alcohol! Servers were also really friendly and would constantly check in on you. Would love to come and visit when there's more people dancing, but overall, a really great experience!
google avatar

Yelp
What a gem! We started at the bar for happy hour with drinks and queso. Delicious and great atmosphere. Then joined up with friends and sat outside for dinner, so we didn't get to enjoy music and dancing, but the food was really good. It was restaurant week, so we ordered lots of things (basically everything) from the special menu and shared around the table. Best bites: halibut and shrimp ceviche, flame grilled lamb skewer, and cream Catalina (sort of like a chocolate and espresso crème brûlée). Drinks and wine were excellent - we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Nice dining experience. The service was great and we recommend Cafe Sevilla to everyone

Yelp
Wow! This is my second time here this week, came in for the Flamenco Dinner Show and it did not disappoint! They hold the show in the night club so the ambiance is dark and mysterious. A/C was blasting which was great! The service was amazing, our server was attentive! The food delicious, the preset meal comes with 3 courses. You do have the optional to add on more food if you'd like. Performers were phenomenal, I've lived in San Diego my whole life and hadn't experienced anything like this. Worth the money, nice date night or night out with friends/family.

Yelp
Restaurant week special was amazing! My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time! The paella was delicious and would order that over and over again!

Yelp
Cafe Sevilla is a great restaurant in a great area of San Diego. Firstly, the service is very nice and helpful. Inside it is a little loud and a little cramped, but for the most part it's good. I had the albondigas al jerez, half rack of ribs, calamari, and a little paella. The albondigas al jerez are perfectly cooked and have a unique taste that's different from most meatballs. The calamari is crispy and goes very well with the marinara kind of sauce and tartar. The ribs were very tender and saucy, and the mashed potatoes, although it was a small portion, were delicious. The paella was very tasty and the rice was good. Overall, I enjoyed Cafe Sevilla.

Yelp
I really enjoyed doing the taste of Spain for 2. You get multiple courses and will leave stuffed. Very yummy. Service was friendly and accommodating. Went on a Saturday night so there was live music - lots of fun!

Yelp
This joint has been on my list for awhile now, and we finally got in to check it out... It was happy hour so we had to try nearly everything! All the food was great, though the garlic sauce was severe! My only criticism is the papas bravas should have been crispy for texture. Ambiance is luxury medieval, service was distracted, and prices were in line with the tourist district... This is my go to tapas joint now, it made the list!

Yelp
Folks, let me tell you, Café Sevilla is spectacular. Truly one of the most tremendous dining experiences in San Diego. Spanish cuisine at its best--world-class. I've been to Spain, I've had the tapas, I know what's good, and this? This is phenomenal. It's like San Diego said, "Let's take Spain, make it better, and serve it with sangria." The tapas? Wow. Incredible. I started with the bacon-wrapped dates because, let's be honest, you can't go wrong with bacon--it's the most presidential food. And these were perfect. Sweet, savory, luxurious. Then came the patatas bravas, which I renamed "Potatoes of Victory" because they were crispy, spicy, and downright winning. The paella? Let me tell you, it's huge. A big, beautiful skillet of seafood, chicken, and rice--so flavorful, it's like a party in your mouth. You can't eat this and not feel powerful. The prawns alone looked like they came straight out of a luxury seafood catalog. Tremendous. The sangria? Perfectly done. Sweet but not too sweet, with just the right kick. I had the red and the white because, you know, I'm thorough. Both were fantastic. You drink it, and you think, "This is what success tastes like." The staff? Incredible. Friendly, attentive, and they know the menu inside and out. They recommended the churros for dessert, and wow--crispy, sugary, dipped in chocolate. It's the dessert of champions. If you're in San Diego and you haven't been to Café Sevilla, you're missing out. It's not just a restaurant; it's an experience. The best tapas, the best paella, the best flamenco. You leave feeling full, happy, and like you've been part of something truly special. Highly recommended. Best Spanish food. Best entertainment. Best everything. Believe me. Donald J. Yelp
I love the ambiance of this place. The food was also great. The service was nice and welcoming.

Yelp
We made a reservation and when we arrived, they seated us very quickly. We loved the music and overall vibe. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Journey Through Spain & Sangria.

Yelp
We visited Cafe Seville on a Sunday night and the atmosphere was very chill. Light music played in the background. We sat in the front of the restaurant at a high top table with beautiful string lights over our heads that looked like stars. The restaurant has a decor designed to replicate an old western bar. In this wonderful setting, we then had a delicious meal with excellence service. You need to get online right now and make a reservation to enjoy the "Food Love" we experienced. Usually we course our tapas selections, this night we just ordered everything at once and let our server bring them as they were ready. I highly recommend each of our choices. Halibut & Shrimp Ceviche ($19) Very traditional marinated in lime and cilantro. A brunoise of red peppers thrown in for good measure. Served with toasted crostinis. Dutiles Rellenos ($13) Medjool dates stuffed with cabrales bleu cheese and wrapped with applewood bacon, brushed with a cider glaze. Queso Fundido ($17) Manchego, goat cheese & tomato. Served with toasted crostinis. Sevilla's Daily Baked Bread ($8.50) We chose the kalamata loaf which was served with Andalucian tomato sauce & homemade aioli. Great cocktails and wine selections. This is a perfect place for date night. Did you make that reservation yet? What are you waiting for?

Yelp
Good service and ambiance, not all the food was great like the mushroom empanada was way too salty, and some items we wanted were not available at all like the Tortilla Espanola. But we had plenty of other items to try. Overall good experience

Yelp
I don't know if I was having a bad night or they were, but the end result remains the same- a good time was not had. My bestie, my husband, and I went for dinner and a show. We were excited for the Flamenco and belly dancing. I bought 3 thickets, which were very expensive even though I had a discount that gave me $10 off each. Their communication said that doors open at 6pm. We were in line before 6pm (I hate being late). Around 6.15-ish, they finally open the door and take one group in. Takes forever for the hostess to come back, at which time she took a second group in. This group came after us, so I was not happy with this. I then see that other groups are just following in as well, so we decided to do the same. We are seated and fter a fairly long while given a "salad"- probably the highlight of the menu even though it had prosciutto- I don't eat pork.... it's OK though, easily able to give it to the husband. It definitely took a while before someone came to take the drink order, and at this point, we were able to ask to switch food items. In the meantime, the Flamenco show started and went into intermission, and the belly dancer began when they finally brought out the meals for everyone. My husband had the salmon and short rib- this was the best meal, but it also came at an additional cost. I got the mushroom paella, which also came at an additional cost. The bestie stayed with the seafood paella that came with the ticket (btw, if you are like me and can't handle spicy- don't eat this). My paella was burned and I had to return it. I don't eat class and muscles and octopus and most of the things in the paella that comes with the ticket- I think it is absolutely awful that I had to pay extra to be able to accommodate my diet restrictions especially after spending $257.91 on just 3 tickets (again, that's with the discount). The belly dancer finished and the Flamenco came back. My new paella came towards the end of that performance. While they did fix my meal, I'm pretty sure they tried to salvage the burned paella because with some bites, I could taste the faint flavor of the burn. The show officially ended- everyone was finishing the main course. The dessert was yet to come... One of the things we did ask our waiter was if there is an alternative to the lemon bar dessert to which he said he can switch it to cheesecake. He later came back to tell us it'll be $15 per cheesecake. I think that is an insane amount. We passed, and I ultimately did not have dessert because I don't like citrus desserts. We got a check for the upgrades and the tequila the husband ordered. It was an extra $152.40 as they automatically add a 20% gratuity and a 5% surcharge. The had the nerve to ask for an additional tip. This experience was not worth over $400 for 3 people.

Yelp
Getting sat with no reservations was easy. Got in quick. Food was ok, not bad. Good portions. Price was too high. Service was EXTREMELY slow. Not the kitchens fault. It was 100% the server. We order drinks right when we sat down. TWO appetizers came before the drinks, we saw them sitting at the bar. Asking for the bill, we had to ask 3 times to the server then finally walking up to him by the kiosk to get it done. THe worst part, he said to not use a credit card bc they charge 4%. You have to use a debit card. WTF? A restaurant charging you 4% for a credit card transaction??

Yelp
Drinks Great happy hour prices! $10 craft cocktails. They have so many varieties of old fashioned, which is my cocktail of choice and each one is as good as the previous one. Strong, tasty, whisky-forward, with a hint of spice or a subtle bitterness to elevate it even more. Food The fried calamari was good. It was a plate of battered calamari on light lemon sauce. The paella really stole the show though. This was bomb. We really wanted the lobster and iberria pork belly but it was so expensive! And then we saw that we could get a half-half and upgrade one half to the lobster one that we wanted. Yes!!! We got the best of both worlds. We got the traditional on one side and the lobster & iberria pork belly on the other. Both versions were delicious and had generous amount of seafood and meat. Atmosphere/Service I enjoyed the quieter atmosphere on a weekday night. According to our attentive waiter (Hi Carlo!), it gets very packed on the weekend, which I can totally see. We had a great time here, with Carlo checking if we need anything, giving us his recommendations and telling us about the salsa class down in the basement!!

Yelp
Wow. Fantastic food and great service. Andalusian tomato dipping sauce with the bread was out of this world. And you have to try the Basque cheesecake. They house make their sangria. Ambiance makes you feel Like you're in Spain! This is a not to miss restaurant if you're in downtown gaslamp San Diego.

Yelp
While walking around Gaslamp Quarter in downtown San Diego, we found this amazing restaurant. This place has such a fun vibe and I loved that it has both indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated outside. The menu is tapas style, and there are so many great options. We had the Ahi Tuna, seafood paella, grilled vegetable stack , and the pollo brochetas (grilled chicken skewers). The seafood paella was a complete flavorfest. It was bursting with flavors and it's a perfect meal to share in groups or enjoy individual plates. The pollo Brochetas was also great. The chicken was perfectly grilled and was moist and tasty. Really enjoyed our dinner here. Do check it out and enjoy delicious Tapas style dining.

Yelp
Sevilla really transports you to Spain. We walked in on a Friday @7pm and was able to get a great table upstairs. Reservations thru their website are highly recommended. Happy hour 4pm-630pm Live music 7-10pm Amazing service from our girl Kacie! Tapas menu, order 4 or 5 plates and share with the table. They also have large paella plates to split. We had the cold tapas seafood trio, hot tapas mushroom & fid Flatbread, shrimp dish with white wine and sliced garlic & seared scallops. Drinks were amazing as well. I got tje margarita flight for $28. The winner was the barbacoa! Pineapple based with a garnish of chorizo Such a wonderful place, wouldn't even know you were in gaslamp. Great food. Great service. Great ambiance & great entertainment!!

Yelp
Love to share food? This is an excellent spot! Love live music? Great soothing dinner music played live! Guitar with all types of music! Great food either way lots of flavor. I have been coming here for years! We order lots of shareable appetizers all were do good. 2 kinds of empanadas, ahí tuna tower, queso fundido with chorizo, and French bread with tomato and aioli sauces! You can substitute fir olive bread also. Both are good. Of course we ordered the meat skewers to share. I like a little more salt but the family thought it was perfect but it is coated in a garlic butter that is so good! We have been coming for 26 years! Never been disappointed. Get a pitcher of red sangria! It's so good lots of yummy fruit inside!

Yelp
My wife and I stopped for a drink and a quick bite - tapas! - during their Happy Hour, while a San Diego Padres game was being played in the stadium a few blocks away. We ordered the bacon-wrapped blue cheese stuffed dates and some Moorish meatballs made with Spanish chorizo. Both were excellent! We were fortunate to get a seat, as the restaurant was not crowded while we were there, but I've seen a line out the door before, so reservations are recommended.

Yelp
When exploring, whenever there's music, I'd say it's worth a visit. This was one of those things. When walking the late night streets of San Diego we heard Spanish music and followed our ears. When we entered, we were greeted with Live music as well as people dancing on the floor. We stood out like sore thumbs but didn't pay us any attention which was good. We grabbed some drinks and just chilled and people watched. I didn't realize this was a restaurant so maybe this vibe is only available at night.

Yelp
Amazing!! We had our 4 year old and they accommodated us on the second floor. They were very careful as we were walking and made sure our kid wasn't hurt since it was pretty crowded. Food was great and the music made it even better

Yelp
On a recent return to San Diego, Cafe Sevilla was my wife's choice for her birthday dinner. We lived in San Diego county for 20 years and this was a favorite. Alas, our experience didn't live up to our expectations. We were seated upstairs next to a company party so it was busy and noisy. Not their fault, just bad luck on our part. I ordered the seafood paella and my wife ordered the Papas Bravas and a tortilla Española. My paella was unfortunately tasteless, significantly under seasoned. The papas bravas were very spicy. The tortilla Española was delicious but tiny. The Malbec we had was tasty and our waiter did bring a comped dessert for my wife's birthday, which was a nice touch. It would be nice if they had valet parking. Overall, we were disappointed and probably won't be back the next time we're in San Diego.

Yelp
We came for happy hour and the food and drinks were okay. In general, I found it a bit overpriced given the other options in the area. When ordering off the happy hour menu, the value was pretty good, but the waiter was pushing paella pretty hard which ended up being really expensive. I wasn't impressed with the dish and didn't love the upsell. I'll probably skip this restaurant next time I'm in the Gaslamp.

Yelp
Sevilla is absolutely amazing and has an incredible atmosphere! The management, led by Kale and the staff, is top-notch, ensuring a fantastic experience every time. The bartenders are highly skilled in mixology, always crafting exceptional drinks. Waiter Heriberto is always has a smile and willing to deliver high class service. Always welcomes you with open arms and very professional. Every time I visit Sevilla I make sure he is the person I order from although everyone in Sevila is great. Every visit feels like coming home, as they treat me like family. Highly recommend!
