Google
Perfect score. Burger with home fries were fantastic. The Coffee Cake was quite possibly the best coffee cake I've ever had. Great views of the ramp and runway. Great staff. Only complaint, the bathroom downstairs was dirty without any real way to clean it. That's on the airport, but I think the Cafe might be the main user of the building.

Being intrigued by a recent write up about Sophie (a beautiful and well mannered Golden Retriever), I’ve decided to pay them a visit. The quality of their food and attention to service is top notch. A lot of people that come quite often were observed, I had the opportunity to meet and talk to Tom, Sandy and off course “Sophie”, she’s adorable. Looking forward to come back again!!

If you're visiting Baltimore/D.C. area, this restaurant should be on your list of places to dine at. We really enjoyed this place. We could dine and watch small aircrafts take off and land. The owner and his dog, Sophie, walked around the restaurant to check on all the guests, and we got a chance to pet Sophie. We had the English breakfast, the 2 Bratwurst lunch, and the Gyro sandwich. Everything was great. Service was perfect. I will definitely come back.

Google
Food was basic breakfast fare with small-ish portions at medium-high prices. My $14 (+$4 for two measly sausage links) special cinnamon Norwegian pancakes with lingonberries were the blandest pancakes I’ve ever had, like from cheap mix, with Smucker’s grape jelly inside. Everyone else got egg-based dishes that all looked better. Atmosphere: fine, cool that it’s in an airport with views of the planes, but otherwise felt like a small dining hall, or an entirely undecorated cheap diner. Service was great! 4/5 in that category only because they took forever to bring our credit card back after paying.

We LOVE LOVE cafe Sophie. One of the few places in MOCO that food actually tastes good! We frequented this place with our toddler who loves planes ever since we fund out about it. I can’t say enough about the quality of food!!! Great service, cozy atmosphere, and a special greeting from Sophie is always something we look forward to. Keep it up guys.

Google
The place was kinda strange to find and we almost drove away but I had a feeling where the place would be. We found it and was immediately greeted by Chris. Chris our server was very nice and his energy is so positive. I ordered the roast beef and kinda wish there was another bun on top but it’s was good just the way it was. It was definitely different and unique as far as taste. Lots of roast beef and worth it. The latte cafe was good. The egg and croissant was also good option if you don’t eat pork. Everything came out fresh. Muffin was good and yummy as the other reviews mentioned. Only thing I didn’t like was that the check came out before we could even order dessert but I would def come back to support them.

Google
I love Café Sophie - the food is great and I like the diversity in the specials, drinks are always good and the service is great. I love being able to watch the planes coming in and out while eating. My favorite seating location is the patio however there is a caveat to that - both times I have been recently there is no umbrellas or shad coverings. So be warned if you are going to sit outside wear a hat and sunscreen because its almost always in the sun and even on a cool fall day it gets pretty toasty. Other than that I highly recommend. Easily my favorite brunch/lunch place in Montgomery County.

Google
The food was very good. We liked everything. We go there every weekend and we love it. Sandy and Tom the onerous are so kind and friendly to the guests. And the service is great! It’s our favorite place!!!

Dale B.

Yelp
All of the above!! Menus items are creative and well presented. Service is efficient and friendly. Location is different but interesting. Good weather allows for outdoor seating and airplane observing. Sophie will meander through the venue occasionally ( The dog for whom the place was named).

Yelp
Initially breakfast was going to be at Gardenia's, but because they were very busy, we went to another of our favorite spots - Café Sophie. I'm not saying this spot was not busy; they just weren't when we visited. It seems we came at the right time as it got busy soon after. The secret is out for both spots. This is what happens when the food and service are on point. Back to this one though, we came by during the late breakfast / early lunch hour. On this visit, I got their Elderflower Mimosa - any flavor of their mimosas is good, and I always ask what flavors they have as you have choices. I also got the Beef Burger. It can be topped with lettuce, tomato, mayo, ketchup, cheese, pickles, mustard, sauteed or raw onions, or sauteed mushrooms. I got mine with the first five choices above and had an egg ($) added on top. There is a choice for bacon too, but that is extra $ as well. Their beef burger is delicious - cooked to your preference. This is the way I like it. I usually have a dessert, but was too full to indulge.

Yelp
Still yummy, still warm and hospitable service, and still cozy ambiance. Nom nom nom!

Alea V.

Yelp
I wanted to try the crogal to compare it to some of the others I've had. Overall the sandwich was nice but a bit overpriced for that you got. It also didn't have some of the herbs in other crogals I've had. My husband had the pancake and said it was good but very dense. The staff was friendly and service was quick. The decor was a little lacking and the building itself smells very old, but that can't be helped considering the location. Overall I'm happy I went

Nicola M.

Yelp
We had lunch here. I had the croque monsieur, and my friends had the soup and sandwich and the Scandinavian Niçoise salad. The croque monsiur was light and not traditional but tasty. My friends really like the Niçoise salad and the mushroom soup. Service was fast. They sold some European snacks. Great ambiance with the dog Sophie photos decorating the restaurant and overlooking the air park.

Lisa G.

Yelp
This has potential and I can see the appeal. It's a cool concept to have a cafe at the small Airpark, where you can eat brunch and watch the airplanes. This experience lost one star for service. We waited several minutes awkwardly at the narrow entrance waiting to be greeted and sat. We ordered water to drink. I was first and asked for water with lemon. She specifically asked if I wanted ice and I said yes. We got four glasses of water, all with no ice. My husband ordered a coffee, which never came. I asked for her opinion on two sandwiches and she said she hadn't tried them. I selected the baguette sandwich. The menu was confusing, because I didn't realize it's prosciutto and jarlsberg or turkey and Brie with lingonberries. Why not just have two separate sandwich listings. Onto the food. I opted for the prosciutto sandwich. It desperately needed some moisture. I added some of my husband's dressed side salad and that improved it greatly. I think it needs a side item too. Half of the sandwich with some sauce plus a cup of fresh fruit would be great. My daughter got a cheeseburger. They were out of cheddar, so we asked what other cheese options and the waitress struggled a little. She opted for provolone. Her burger was tasty but so buttery that she needed extra napkins. My mom selected steak and eggs and my husband got a chicken parm sandwich. Maybe we didn't read it correctly, because it wasn't quite what he expected. It tasted okay. I might go back and sit on the sunny patio and get coffee and simple breakfast.

Yelp
This place is really more of a 3.5* spot for me but I appreciate the home style feel and how it (I think) is family run. What we got: Kjottkaker - 3* not everything I thought it'd be. I was expecting it to be a bit more flavorful. Adding salt and pepper to the potatoes helped. The mushy peas were no as tasty as I remember them being in England. I do thing this dish would be better if it came with toast and then put the lingonberry sauce on that instead. Roasted Potatoes & Egg Skillet - 4* good flavor! We're not chefs but the eggs seemed more over medium than poached but they were still delicious. The brioche bread though, that was amazing. They sell it by the loaves so we bought one.

Joevi F.

Yelp
Nice restaurant, very clean inside. Norwegian influence for their menu. I came for brunch and ordered the Steak and Eggs. The steak was okay, I ordered it medium and it came out a bit chewy. My table also ordered the Salmon which was very good, the piece was fairly sized as well. The service was good, everyone was friendly. I would recommend this place.

Yelp
Sunday 3/3/2024 When DoorDash wasn't letting me place my order I decided to make a call in order for takeout and eveything went smoothly. I got the pannekaker (cinnamon) $12, Belgian waffles $14, steak n eggs (medium steak & medium eggs) $15, and the French toast special (mixed berries & mixed fruit sauce) $15. - Pannekaker (cinnamon) * it's 4 (smaller) pancakes that are layered, sprinkled, and then rolled up with cinnamon sugar (or raspberry preserves if you choose) * pretty similar to crepes but you can tell that it's a pancake * a unique and interesting dish that I enjoyed - Belgian waffles (fav item) * comes with 2 whole waffles that are soft, moist, and delicious and they also come with whip cream & strawberries to make it even better. - French toast special (fav item) * At first I was disappointed with these French toast because they were noticeable undercooked to the point where it was very moist. They became great & delicious after I fully cooked them and added the toppings. - Steak n eggs (comes with potatoes & toast) * The meal was solid (everything you'd expect) but the potatos could've been way better with some seasonings. Overall, I had a pretty good experience at cafe Sophie: prices were fair, food was good, but the only reason I can't give it a 5 star is due to the French toast being noticeable undercooked. With that being said I would definitely recommend and come back for future visits.

Yelp
Unbeknownst to both of us, my partner and I found ourselves on an airfield looking to find Sophie's Cafe. And that's exactly where it is, nestled amongst small private planes and pilot training and plane repair shops. On the second floor of the building sits a small, but cute little restaurant that is quite popular on Saturdays! We were seated not long after arrival. As it was busy, it took some time for drink and food orders to be taken. But once taken, orders were processed in a reasonable time. The food and drink were good, and we look forward to returning to try new things - but the highlight was actually meeting who the restaurant was named for! If you have dog allergies, I suggest you find someplace else to eat, because the star of this place literally makes regular appearances! This was a really fun and unexpected brunch adventure, and I can't wait for the next one!

Yelp
//3 stars for food and near miss of -1 for customer service. + 1 for ambiance If you enjoy watching small planes land and lift off while eating then this is a place for you. The glory of aviation out marks the quality of food in this place in my opinion. Ambiance: amazing out door deck is there if available. You get you enjoy some small planes lift off and land. Very unique Food: the theme is Scandinavian. For me this day, I ordered a strawberry arugula salad. I thought it would be a bit tangy and salty with some fruity vinaigrette. However I got an oily salad and tasteless strawberries. Slight tang from the feta cheese but overpowered by the oil therefore very bland. The strawberry cubes were tasteless. Overall very bland even adding salt and pepper. Dessert: peach tart a la mode. It was the best special desert I've ever had. It was sweet and warm contrast to cold ice cream. I recommend that if you are looking for a dessert special. Customer service: there were several people serving us (I don't know why). The first lady was very pleasant and attentive. Then the tall guy with sunglasses was very abrupt when serving food and barely answered any questions. I do not ask for much but if I greet with positivity, the least you can do is greet me in reverse but maybe I missed the message. Overall. Go for the views of the place. Food .... overrated maybe except the dessert.

DJ L.

Yelp
Long story short - owner is a nice guy and has a dog named Sophie! Good views, friendly staff, but overall the food was underwhelming and food came out slow after 1pm when it wasn't busy. We ordered a few Eggs Benedict. The word "ADD" smoked salmon for $4 is misleading (should be "substituted") which came out to be $19. The other thing to highlight was the description said two poached eggs and all three were hard boiled in the middle (see photo). The KJØTTKAKER came out about 10 minutes later and then Best of the Wurst (not pictured) came out 20 mins later. Again, not terrible but wished for actual poached eggs and for the dishes to come all at the same time especially for parties for more than 2.

Sarah D.

Yelp
The food and the service were great. The setting is comfortable. We went on a cold, cloudy day; I'm looking forward to when it is warm and I can sit outside.

Chelsey J.

Yelp
This place is so homey and so lovely on the inside. & on the outside, well you get to watch the planes take off, which is a cool little view. The owners walk around, speak to everyone, and make sure everyone is doing well. The food is delish. & they have items you can purchase from other countries. I might just become a regular there.

Kyle D.

Yelp
I visited here on a Sunday morning with a party of 4. We were seated within 10 minutes of arrival and decided to do patio seating. The restaurant inside and out is very clean, orderly and has great ambiance. It's located in the local airport so the added bonus of planes taking off makes it all worth it. The service was a bit slow but great when we had it. The food was good but it lacked a little flavor. Overall, I will come back! Pro tip: Walk into the airport and take the stairs up. The restaurant will be located at the door on the far left at the top of the stairs. The patio seating will get noisy during takeoff but subsides once they go airborne.

Robin Lisa R.

Yelp
A review long overdue. Had coffee with American breakfast. Service 5 stars. Ambience romantic and cozy. I enjoyed my meal. I only wish my significant other was alive to enjoy the experience of food and ambience as he enjoyed food. Hugs to Sophie. She was a delight!

Kelly S.

Yelp
Lunch with a view! My mom and I had brunch on Saturday. We dined at a high top by the window and could see planes coming and going at the Gaithersburg Airpark. I had the Pannekaker with raspberry jam with a fried egg. My mom had the croque monsieur with side salad. The portion was very large! We enjoyed $7 mimosas. The staff was friendly and ensured we enjoyed our meals. Restaurant is located up a flight of stairs. Bathroom located on the lower level. They also had a deck for outdoor dining but the weather was too humid for us to do that.

Terri H.

Yelp
Excellent Scandinavian food! It's always crowded because it's so good. Loved the food! Clean and friendly! Pricey

Joy B.

Yelp
I love dogs and in particular, golden doodles, in fact I own one. So, when I discovered a cafe named after a golden doodle, my cup runneth over. Sophie, is the inspiration for this Scandinavian food Cafe. She is adorable and we got the chance to meet her. She is a real sweetheart! The food was fabulous too. I ordered the panakaker, which is Norwegian pancakes filled with jam and topped with powdered sugar and blueberries. They were every bit as good, as they sound. Light, fluffy, and delicious. I also ordered sunny side eggs and bacon. That was the best bacon I have ever been served, at any restaurant. It was cooked perfectly. The bacon was crisp and meaty. Yum! My eggs were prepared fabulously too. The servers were pleasant, but a little slow. No problem, I enjoyed catching up with my friend and playing with Sophie. The owner, Tom, was a delight. He is so friendly and talks to each of the guests. Now, that is hospitality! We also ordered the 1/2 price mimosas, which were outstanding. A delicious treat for a brunch morning. I would love to come back when the planes are flying. Cafe Sophie is located, literally right next to the airfield in Gaithersburg. Excellent food, friendly service, and an adorable Sophie to greet you, I will definitely be back soon.

Libby F.

Yelp
I came for a leisurely Saturday brunch. The owner greeted me cordially and I told him I was worried my companion and I would have to wait. He informed me that a large party had just vacated. I chose a great high top table off to the side out of the traffic flow. We both started with half-priced ($3.50) misosas that were super fresh. The orange juice tasted like it was fresh squeezed. I really enjoyed mine, especially at half off. We both ordered the Norwegian pannekakers filled with raspberry preserves which are Scandinavian-style pancakes. Thin and rolled like a French crepe, but definitely tasted like a pancake rather than a sweet crepe. They were a real treat, but I would of liked more preserves. Ours were missing the fresh raspberries on top like all the other photos show. Still a treat with just the blueberries! The added treat was when Tom, the owner brought the restaurant's namesake out to meet us. Such a sweetheart! That made my day, especially after my dog's recent passing. I hope to be back in the summer when school Is out so I can dine alfresco and watch the planes land. It's a bit of a hike from Silver Spring, but we'll worth the journey.

Fabian M.

Yelp
Norwegian Lunch: kjøttkaker (meat cakes) and Smørrebrød (open face sandwich with roast beef). This place in Moco makes IKEA taste like a frozen dinner. The open face sandwich is the perfect lunch. The flavors from the beef/pesto/remoulade/crisp onion melted perfectly. The Norwegian meat cakes is 10 times better then IKEA's Swedish meatballs. It's hearty, and would be a perfect meal during snowstorm. It was delicious, but what really made it was the mashed peas and berries. Will definitely come back here!

John S.

Yelp
Atmosphere et al pleasant. Service excellent. Not accustomed to Chinese cuisine closer to original culture. Thought food kind of bland and unusual to my American taste.

Benjamin T.

Yelp
Food is wonderful and the prices are fair. I come here when I'm in the mood for a good breakfast that's not going to break the bank and have a better ambiance then IHOP. During the warmer months, the planes taking off and landing is a great touch. If you aren't an aviation family, your kids will love watching the planes. For those of you who are, you feel right at home. Service is top notch! Everyone is friendly and will engage in friendly conversation.

Chris A.

Yelp
Holy moly what an experience. Just searched around for a nearby restaurant with Wi-Fi, ended up on this, gem! Wonderful, customer service, wonderful food, huge menu, and wonderful scenery.

Lei Y.

Yelp
Came here for the airplane views and the great food! I got their new focaccia skillet dish and wow it was extremely good and filling. The owners and sophie (the cutest dog) were so welcoming. Will definitely be back for another brunch session!

Miyuki L.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this restaurant. It's intimate and cozy with super friendly service. The Crogel was super flavorful with the pefect combination. The iced vanilla latte was coffee forward vs lost in vanilla syrup.. so good. I look forward to returning. It's a bit pricey for breakfast but it is worth it. It's a welcome change to the standard breakfast places.

Tom P.

Yelp
Wonderful experience and great food. As someone with Norwegian blood on one side of my family and Swedish on the other, this place was perfect. Smoked salmon open-faced sandwich hit the mark. Service was a 10. Views of the planes coming and going were an added treat. Regret that we waited so long to try this unique and tasty spot.

Joyce H.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! Tucked away on the second floor at the Montgomery County airport, this place isn't big, but it's welcoming and friendly. There is a patio for warmer days and plenty of windows so if you are lucky you get to see small planes landing and taking off. Sophie the dog is also sometimes there, she is friendly and well behaved. The food is great, everything I've ever had has been well prepared, tastes good and there is plenty of variety. We tend to go for weekend brunch and you can get anything from an English breakfast, Smorbrod open faced sandwiches, omelets, sandwiches and Norwegian pancakes. Plus heartier meals like sausages, meatballs and pizza. It does get crowded because more people have found it, but we have never had to wait long and the food comes out quickly. The staff is also very nice, efficient and always smiling.

Mark L.

Yelp
Having read the various reviews, we decided to try Cafe Sophie for brunch today. We used to patronize the Greek-style restaurant that was at the airport for many years, were disappointed by the restaurant that replaced it, so our hopes were high when this new restaurant was opened. We were very disappointed. This is a restaurant in desperate need of management oversight. We arrived an hour before closing, only two other tables were occupied, yet the six (!) staff members mostly ignored us. We finally had our order taken, of the three items we ordered the waiter forgot one. Ordered coffee, waiter never asked if we wanted refills. In fact the six staff members spent most of the time talking among themselves and generally goofing around with each other, making for a very distracting experience... until roughly thirty minutes before closing, the staff began cleaning up, gathering up items from all around the restaurant, sweeping floors under our feet as we ate, putting things away ("Hello? We're still eating here...") The staff were behaving as if they couldn't wait for us to leave, were trying to encourage us to finish before they bolted for the door, so we decided to grab our check and leave, and of course none of the staff who seemed so eager to leave would then make eye contact to bring us our bill. Food quality was also disappointing. An order of avocado toast was very skimpy on the avocado. Rather bizarrely, we asked for hot sauce (i.e. Tabasco) to put on breakfast potatoes, the waiter brought Indian curry sauce. We may be back to watch the airplanes taking off and landing, but not for the food or service.

Roberto N.

Yelp
Great great menu choices! Not the same old stuff- and it's delicious too! There's some Scandinavian food in addition to open face roast beef, BLTs, pizza, and a thorough breakfast menu too. I wish they were open for dinner!

Sara L.

Yelp
I came here for lunch today and have to say, I love everything about this place. The menu is so much fun and different from anything else in MoCo. Where else can you get a Norwegian open-face sandwich? As soon as you walk in, the modern grey decor makes you feel like you're in an upscale restaurant (minus the upscale prices to go with it). Our server, along with the rest of the employees we interacted with, was helpful and attentive. Since it was our first time there, we were welcomed with a complimentary sweet. We had trouble deciding on what we wanted because everything sounded so good! One friend got the Italian sub which came on a Scandinavian bread that I'd never heard of, the other got a salad, and I went for the Norwegian meat patties with potatoes, gravy, and Ligon berries. My dish was so comforting on this gross, rainy day. My friends enjoyed their food too and talked about how they need to come back with friends and their husbands who'd appreciate the food. We ended our lunch with the creme brulee. It was absolutely perfect with crisp sugar bits and ice cream on top. I look forward to coming back to try more!

Rebecca G.

Yelp
We weren't able to get a table outside to see the planes but we still had a great time at Cafe Sophie. For me it was worth it for the hot chocolate alone. Service was great and our food was yummy. I think I should try the cinnamon roll next time. We will definitely be back!

Frederick A.

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. It was my 1st time here. It's located upstairs within the Montgomery County Local Airport. Has ample parking. Like the cozy feel. It was cold today so couldn't sit outside to watch the small planes land and take off. Had the ENGLISH BREAKFAST w/ a coffee. 9/10. Staff were excellent; very attentive. The owner took his time to come over and also walk over to each table to make small talk which was greatly appreciated. Which made me know customer service is important to him and his business. I devoured my breakfast before I could take a picture. Will definitely come here again.

Vicki K.

Yelp
Our first time here for breakfast! Pro's -Customer service is very friendly and accomodating -Clean and adorable decor of Sophie the dog! -Television screens were playing beautiful scenic views -Small outdoor seating space available -Right on the airpark. The kids were entertained for a while of the planes landing and taking off -Large free parking area -The food was fresh and beautifully presented. -I am having my kids adventure more with food. We had the Pannekaker (which was like a crepe) my daughter ate most of. My son had the special apple oatmeal french toast. The server did mention it was more on the wet side than the regular french toast. The bread was also large and thick. My son ate most of his plate! -Husband had a latte with lavender. It was delicious! I didn't even know they had such a thing! Con's -I didn't see any signs for the cafe but followed the airpark signs for "restaurants" The restaurant itself is a bit small but it's worth the wait. Will definitely return again to Cafe Sophie! What a hidden gem!

Dee B.

Yelp
4.5 stars. Friendly service, popular on weekend mornings, strong iced tea, FANTASTIC bacon (big thick slices that have been fully cooked). I was a tad disappointed with the pannekaker but that's more on me for not knowing exactly what to expect--I found them to be a bit dry.

Joe W.

Yelp
Great place for breakfast and plane watching . Everything is homemade and wonderful tasting. You will have many choices and new things to try. We will be back - thank you for the excellent visit!

Nacie G.

Yelp
AaaaaaaaaMAZING!!! I pleasant surprise when I booked a discovery flight for my husband today. Staff EXCELLENT, food SUPURB!! It was clean, good portions and everything was from scratch. Just perfect!!! Lunch with a view!!

Carla M.

Yelp
When we first arrived, I was quite skeptical. Located upstairs in a building at the airport, I was sure I had made a mistake. Cafe Sophie turned out to be a gem. We got there in time for breakfast. Hubby had eggs Benedict on a homemade English muffin. The side potatoes were crispy and yummy. I opted for a lunch baguette. Everything was fresh and tasty. Our waiter was attentive and funny. I think my mimosa might have helped me appreciate his sense of humor even more! The manager was on site and very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will go back some weekend to meet the restaurant's namesake, Sophie the golden doodle and to try some of the Scandinavian specialties.

Amy S.

Yelp
This is a newly opened restaurant located at the Airpark Airport in Gaithersburg. The place definitely got a face-lift, and it is very calming. My server was Stephanie. She was very helpful, attentive, and offered great suggestions. One of the owners (Sandy) stopped by to introduce herself and stopped again to check on the food. I was seated at a booth with a nice view of the outside. Pannekakar- it's their version of pancakes but it's more like crepes. Breakfast potatoes- it was delicious and very flavorful. Bacon- thick and crispy but not too crispy Everything was so good that I decided to order lunch to go. I got the beet salad and apple danish. The beet salad was delicious. I only wish there were more beets. The danish was delicious. I definitely will be back to try other items.

Sahar R.

Yelp
New businesses around Gaithersburg are rare these days so I had to check this place out when they opened. This location is the former Airport Cafe -right by the Montgomery County Airpark. Great location given that you can watch small planes come go while eating. Another plus is that the place is named after their dog. I didn't manage to go in today but my husband brought out take out. I have to admit the Nutella pastry croissant is worth the visit. It oozes nutella and the pastry shell is delightfully crispy. Since the restaurant has a Norwegian theme, my husband went with the two hardest pronounce items on the menu: PANNEKAKER- Norwegian pancakes with cinnamon and sugar with apricot preserves ($8.79) and the SMØRBRØD-SCANDINAVIAN OPEN-FACED SANDWICH (BUTTERED) Smoked salmon with scrambled egg & chives: $12.79 I did not try the SMORBROD but the pannekaker (say it 10 times fast) was really good but don't be fooled, if you expect thick pancakes that's not it. It's more of a crepe. I know this isn't the most informative review-there are some menu items I can't eat right now but I do plan to come back to try the full breakfast and lunch menu (hello lattes and Norwegian weiners!). I recommend you stop by for quick lunch or breakfast (open from 8-3pm) and support this new small local business. Maybe come in and pet Sophie!

David A.

Yelp
Went here because we had a coupon. So glad we found this place because it would have been impossible to find unless we were small plane aviators. Nestled in a little airport building but still very easily accessible, this place is a true hidden gem. Serving Norwegian style breakfast (and dinner fare starting lunchtime), their preparations are simple yet so delicious on account of the high quality ingredients. Sausages and sauerkraut from the German market. Norwegian lingonberries. House made cold brew coffee. Just go here and try everything. You won't be disappointed. Also, I imagine that the view of the runway is delightful from the deck seats during warm weather months.

Billy V.

Yelp
Always a fun time here. Fantastic food. Good service and a beautiful sight to watch planes come and go.

Paul G.

Yelp
Great place for a family breakfast. My kids loved watching the planes go by. Staff was friendly. My cup of coffee was constantly getting refilled.

Jennifer F.

Yelp
I've had this place bookmarked to try since they opened. So I made a last minute decision to take the hubs and daughter to try them out last Sunday. They Cafe is located in the main training building upstairs. It's a cool set up and they have options for both indoor and outdoor seating. It's cool because they have an awesome view of the planes, which you can enjoy while eating. The woman who greeted us, who I assumed to be the manager, was very kind and attentive. Our server was also nice, but it did take some time to arrive to our table. We ordered breakfast items, including the American breakfast, French toast and their pannekaker. Everything tasted good and we didn't wait long for our food. The only issue was my eggs and bacon was forgotten and I had to follow up with the manager, who got them to me right away! My daughter had asked for a glass of water, and she then noticed the glass was dirty and had lipstick on it ....when I mentioned it to our server she was very apologetic and brought her one from a clean cup. Overall, I love the ambiance and concept. I gave it 4 stars because of this as well as the customer service received by the manager. I know staffing is difficult these days, but I would just suggest that the servers be a bit more attentive. Other than that, we certainly go back!

Yelp
Great place to eat. Food was good. Very friendly and helpful staff. Inside was nice and clean but my favorite was sitting outside to watch the planes take off and land.

Yelp
Great food, service, and super easy to find! Just drive to the end of the road, park, and look up at the restaurant on the second floor. Couldn't be easier.

Yelp
This place is amazing! It is in the County Airport building. The menu is very eclectic - American and European influences abound in the menu. Norwegian pancakes vie with English Bangers; German sausage next to Prime Rib sandwiches. And Pizza. The staff was very friendly. The view was super cool - you can sit inside or outside and watch the planes. The food was awesome. This is one of the best things we did this trip!

Yelp
Great outside seating to watch the planes take off and land. Service was great. Turkey and Brie sandwich was tasty. German dinner was filling and fresh mashed potatoes. Iced tea was good too.

Yelp
Cute, quiet, slightly out-of-the-way spot next to the Airpark. Swung by the telephone booth right outside bc we had to see if it works, and it does folks! $.50 per call. You walk in beside the espresso machine on your right in the host stand then to your left is an asst of Dutch candies, fresh baked goods, and ice cream. The board has info on baked goodies and donuts l, which you won't find on your menu. The specials had an entirely diff flair. Food was well executed and plated. Real silverware, nice napkins, and heavy plates were above expectations. Casual atmosphere, great service, interesting location, and unique menu for the area. We will be back to try more dishes and some of the specials! Felt everything was tasty and well portioned.
