"Offering a simple breakfast as well as an all-day lunch and dinner menu, Café Souvenir is mostly revered for the former. Simplicity is key, with brunch specials served with two eggs, choice of bread, choice of meat, potatoes, and fresh fruit. If you happen to stop by for dinner, the Burger Souvenir De Luxe or the Couscous Royal are both solid options for $15 each." - Daniel Bromberg

My recent visit to Cafe Souvenir left much to be desired. Not only was the food mediocre, particularly the chicken egg benedict, but the service was also subpar. We had to repeatedly ask for things, and my coffee order was forgotten entirely. Even when requesting a refill, only half of my mug was filled, and the milk arrived almost when we were leaving. Overall, a disappointing experience that I won't be repeating.

Quaint neighborhood Cafe across from the theater. The Omelette was outstanding! I ordered decaf coffee and it tasted wonderful.

We were a bit nervous being non-French speakers, but the ladies were helpful and can speak English well. The egg Benedict and crepe we ordered were good. Best to arrive earlier in the morning when the sun is not that hot yet as it is nice to eat outside. Quite far from other areas though, so best if you have your own ride or have the unlimited bus pass. The walk towards it will lead you to a quiet, residential area.

I use to go there each time I’m coming to this area and before it was absolutely delicious, however, this time it was absolutely awful! The bread was full of water the potatoes was over cooked and the ham was not the ham they use to put…Also the sauce for the Benedict eggs was tasting water. Really for the last 20 years it was the worst experience ever! Unfortunately I will not go back there and I don’t recommend it anymore…please do something for the regular customers…

We had breakfast outside on the extra "patio" created by the closing off of the street. The restaurant interior looked funky and there was a sidewalk patio area as well. The food was fantastic! I had a small serving of the granola and yogurt dish and the yogurt was so tasty it reminded me of homemade I used to make. Every dish we saw had a little tablespoon of fresh fruit unless fruit was part of the dish, then the serving was larger. The crêpe was folded like a burrito and the potatoes were nicely seasoned. Everything was super tasty and I cannot wait to find an excuse to go for another meal! There was a full bar inside, suggesting lovely afternoons on the patio.

Still remains my favorite restaurant on Bernard. While prices went up everywhere, at least you leave here without feeling cheated. Never had anything but the nicest service. And if most of the food choices are rather simple... they are good and I like them.

Great lunch place in the heart of Outremont. Had a simple tuna sandwich on a baguette but it was very tasty and priced reasonably for the setting.

Cute little breakfast place on Bernard, serving up classics with a great cup of coffee. A great option in the outremont mile end area!
