Where to Eat in Crystal Palace | Eater London

"Cafe St Germain is the epitome of Continental, doing a “chef’s omelette” on a busy terrace with a little 330ml bottle of beer. Sadly, no Kronenbourg, but there is Peroni. Still, the café suits francophiles, and is always packed with people tucking into silky crêpes with egg and garlic, or an immense salad dressed with a sharp, proper vinaigrette. What puts Café St Germain on this list, though, isn’t the food, but the prices. Even if you aren’t enamoured of the omelettes and sirloin steak, for £8 and £14 respectively, it’s difficult to get anything but pleasure." - Josh Barrie

Amazing little spot. Gives off old time vibes which I love. Food was stunning but it looked so good that I forgot to snap a photo before eating. Amazing price for the quality. Had the Chefs breakfast and the fresh OJ. Would recommend as highly as possible

A charming old-timer just off the Crystal Palace triangle, promising a good bite to eat. Food is both generous and affordable, and the service is always welcoming. It’s also a relaxing atmosphere for a quiet read or to complete some work ✨

I love this place. Such a cute cafe for simple salads and toasties. A hidden gem of a local cafe. Lovely staff too and sweet outside area.

Having been to many cafes in my time this was my 1st time and will be my last time. Ordered 2 chefs breakfast and asked for the beans on the side, a lack of communication within the staff, the beans were put directly onto the plate. I asked for an extra slice of toast and when it came to the billI I got charged £2.95 for that one slice, when I asked why it was £2.95 and the guy behind the till could not give me a reason so I felt ripped off. Food was okay but overpriced. Unfortunately they have lost a potential customer and most importantly a PAYING customer. I will note though, the waitress that took our order was very nice to us.

This was our first time at Cafe St Germain and it was a lovely experience! The server was very kind and the atmosphere was a little step back in time. Coupled with the views of Crystal Palace Park, the cafe is a nice place to spend a cold winter morning or warm summer evening on the outdoor deck. We were there for breakfast and didn't look at the lunch menu, but I do wish the breakfast menu had slightly more options than variations on the standard English breakfast (which doesn't win originality points at any place!). In the end, we got lemon & sugar crepes and eggs royale, which were good. We also learned the difference between the 'sweet crepes' and 'crepe special' on the menu was that the crepe special has a drink included in the price.

Breakfast in the sun 😎 Thanks for welcoming us. Really enjoyed the chefs breakfast today. Nice outdoor space for dining fabulous location opposite Crystal Palace Park. Frappuccino vanilla was the best! Also great espresso and fresh orange juice. Visiting was like being on holiday abroad . Thanks again
