Cafe Stella

Sunday morning was my second time at Stella’s, and it’s easy to see why it’s a favorite spot. The staff is always polite and helpful (underrated quality in a coffee shop), the coffee is delicious, the selection of pastries is great, and the hot food offered has been good. I’ve only tried 2 items, but both were very good. The atmosphere is fine, I only gave it four stars because it could be cleaner. The decor Is covered in dust, and coming from a medical background It is hard to ignore how unsanitary it is to have a huge glass bottle with a thick layer of dust directly under an air vent. If they paid for a monthly deep cleaning it would be well worth it. No other complaints, absolutely love the place otherwise.

Ordered their burger and chips (0/10), not much flavor to the burger at all and pretty dry; definitely had to add sauce to it. As you can see in my photo, barely given any chips on the side. Also tried an iced latte (5/10) it was decent. The food here has been disappointing each time. Don’t really see myself returning at this point. My overall rate of experience : 2/10

Well, after 7 years living here, and 5 visits to Stella, I decided 1 more chance... I haven't been in over a year, and here's why: Customer service has been hit or miss, food is mediocre at best, Cobwebs on every fixture (including over the uncovered water in dingy pitchers). Obviously, the owner doesn't care; it has been this way since my first visit 7 yrs ago. That being said, I've never had a coffee drink until tonight. Usually I would get a Golden Latte, which is oook. The Mocha was actually good, but it's not enough for me to return with the grimy and filthy environment!

Had such a great night here! My handsome date and I were lucky enough to attend the first Valentine's dinner and Jazz night! Music was great and inviting. It was a busy evening so service was a little slow, but the owner was amazing. She checked on us several times, kept us updated on our food, and handled everything so well. You could tell they really cared about everyone having a good experience. Definitely coming back for another jazz night!

The restaurant is very nice and beautifully decorated. I ordered the skillet breakfast and the buttermilk waffles they were good. The staff were also very friendly.

I love this place, I go here often and recommend it often. BUT THEIR BATHROOM CONSISTENTLY STINKS. I've used porta potties that smell better/look cleaner. They need to install a vent in there. The walls and floor are painted dark colors and you can still see the grime.

Recently me and some friends decided to go and study during a packed night. even during the packed environment they had (there is a constant problem of 1 person taking up a table of 6+) we decided to stay there, study, and use our money because we have frequented cafe stella and enjoyed it. Due to the packed environment this left us with only one outlet for my partner to use. this went across the walkway a little but we happily told the 4 people who passed to watch their step and everyone appreciated it. After being there for about an hour and half enjoying our coffee and food we suddenly hear someone walk in and start snapping on us for having the cord across the room, we of course weren’t going to start anything so we started to move until the person who walked in (who i later find out is the owner, it seems she may have been a little too embarrassed to tell me) continued to harass my partner so i stood up for them and tried to tell the owner that we just haven’t had time to move our charger since the space next to us freed up (the person who sat next to us was using the charger but they moved a few minutes prior to this and we just hadn’t stopped our work yet because we were focused) and that we are listening to her but the only reason we are having this conversation is because we just want you to start a conversation politely. your pent up anger on this situation happening frequently should not be put on a separate customer and it’s quite sad that a business owner cant see that. i would think one of the most important things is maintaining a professional image no matter how you feel inside. sadly every time i tried explaining this she just harped on “it’s a urgent hazard” when i literally was saying that we understand that but we just want you to be polite. her defense in this was to be snarky and unprofessional by saying “you’re right, you’re right” then proceeding to tell us how we are wrong. if a business owner cant see that starting a conversation like that is unprofessional then you honestly shouldn’t be one. i have also seen the other low reviews on here and it seems that she likes to do things like this often because of her annoyance to something happening frequently. ma’am if you can’t find a solution outside of causing a conflict you are not fit for this job. and i have seen how she responds too, the whole “theres two sides to this mirror” bull shit doesnt work here. you’re a business owner with customers, you wanna maintain a good look or not?

I was excited to try out Cafe Stella after seeing how popular they get and their great ratings but I have to be honest I’m a little disappointed. I ordered the Granby sandwich and it was tasty but it was my mistake that I thought it came with some kind of meat on it. I also ordered a plain iced latte so I could taste the quality of their espresso and I honestly couldn’t taste anything other than milk. I’ve never been so underwhelmed by a coffee drink. My husband enjoyed his Polish breakfast and said it was a lot of food for only $10. He also liked his black coffee but I found it too bitter. Overall aesthetic was very cute and I could see many people working or doing homework here but certainly the coffee isn’t enough to make me want to come back. Would consider coming back to try more food options.

I came by here to get some work done & it reminded me of the coffee shops I would go to in college that I wish we had more of where I live. You order at the front register, they give you a number to place on your table & you choose a seat if you're dining in. I ordered the rice, sweet potato & salmon bowl & a Paloma. The bowl was only okay-- they didn't cook the mushrooms at all, the sweet potatoes were cold & the salmon was stiff. The paloma was decent enough. I overall really like this place for the convenience, the vibe, & the good service. I would definitely come back here if I'm back in town!

My partner ordered both of us to-go breakfast while she waited for me to get done with PT. We got a bagel sandwich, a waffle sandwich, a cappuccino, and tirimisu. Partner said the bagel sandwich was okay, she said that the bacon was really good. (She also thinks all bacon is good) My waffle sandwich was.... It was okay. I don't know if I would get it again? I was maybe hoping for the waffles to be slightly crispier? Not so dense? It was more like thick floppy pancakes in my opinion. The eggs had those crispy edges as well which are sometimes ok, but there were a lot of crispys. The cappuccino, again, eh. It could've been better. We were both slightly disappointed with Stella's as we have heard it's REALLY good. But would I make it an ongoing experience? Probably not. However The tiramisu........ Now BAY-BEE I WOULD go back for that tiramisu. Yes ma'am. That was some of the best tiramisu I have ever had. Would recommend. Oh she also got us banana bread However My dog got into some of the banana bread and the rest got thrown away.... Miller says, "Stella's? 10/10. Would eat again. The best banana bread I have ever had the chance to enjoy. Would someone bring me another slice?"

Always a great place for a cold caramel macchiato and smoked salmon with egg scramble! Atmosphere is great on Christmas Eve early afternoon. A couple of people were doing work at the bar but everyone was in the cozy bonding mood. The scrambled egg was fluffy and delicious.

I tried getting a matcha but was told they did not have any.I eventually decided to get an iced Carmel latte ($5) and it was made in about 2 minutes. The drink was made with a lot of milk so the coffee was a bit hard to taste. The Carmel flavor was sweet.The inside was very cool, half a bar vibe and the other being a cafe. Overall the coffee was alright, nothing fancy but got the job done. I personally would not go out the way to get it again , but did enjoy the vibes. Drink(50%): 6.0 Staff/service(25%): 6.5 Value(25%): 6.5 Overall: 6.3/10

This is a pretty cool café, nice outdoor seating area along the sidewalk of the main street. It's an open area restaurant with a walk up counter to order your food and drinks, they give you a number to sit at your table for them to carry out your order to you. The menu is expansive. There's a larger sitting area in the back, off to the right, as you come through the main entrance. A grand piano is on display as well as eclectic Knick knacks. One thing I noticed is that it was quite loud in the restaurant, on top of music playing. Several customers wore headphones while working on their laptops. The food was terrific and the staff were friendly.

I would rate this place a 10 for the service, quality of food, and over all aesthetic. If you're looking for a nice and cozy spot to study, catch up with friends, or simply good food, cafe Stella has it all. It is more on the more pricey side as everything thing in the picture was around $40. Besides the price I would recommend to go and check this place out, even if you just need a space to study!

Came here with a friend for an afternoon chat. It was packed but still had a few tables available. We decided to try the passionfruit pineapple slushies. We weren't a fan of them so we asked to exchange them. The employee who took our order was very nice and changed them out with no issue. My friend got the lime slushie which she liked and I got an iced green tea latte, which I enjoyed. They had a display of sweets available but I didn't try any this time. Such a great spot to work or catch up with friends!!

I don't know why it's taken me a long time to leave a review for Café Stella because I've gone to this place so much. I've finished so many assignments and books in this place. Even though we live across the water and have since moved further up, we still make the drive just to hang out here. Definitely one of our favorite cafés in Hampton Roads. It's a cozy yet lively place, and in our more recent visits we got to sit through some music performances in the café as well. The place welcomes people of all kinds and of all ages. Though it can get a bit hectic, a lot of people like myself still come to Cafe Stella to get work done. There's plenty of seating with both indoor and outdoor options. The owners themselves actively engage in the café as baristas, chefs, and servers. It's a business carried out with love. The iconic gigantic chalk board menu has almost all that you need to know. They have both caffeinated and non-caffeinated drinks. If you're more of a tea person, you can help yourself to your own pot of tea. They also sell alcoholic beverages with bottles of wine and a whole bar with a variety of liquor to match. They sell their coffee beans as well and you can also buy canisters of tea from this place. For food, they also have a good selection of savory and sweet to choose from! A great place to get focused or to wind down. I highly recommend even just for the atmosphere alone!

I ate at Café Stella and was very disappointed with both the service and the lack of professionalism. The young woman who served me was curt and dismissive, even placing my food down with just a​ "here." I had done nothing to offend her, yet she made it clear she didn't want to serve me. When I later called to speak to the manager, the woman on the phone pretended to get the manager, paused, and then came back saying she was the manager in a heightened voice that was obviously false. When I asked if she was the same person I had just spoken to, she paused again before saying, "I can take a message." This was dishonest and unprofessional, and I do not believe it reflects what Café Stella should be portraying. Fortunately, the owner spoke with me and assured me that she would address this situation and apologize profusely. I truly appreciated that. I will be returning because I really enjoy the food and the quiet peaceful setting.

This gem is a locally owned café and is a neighborhood staple, it has a very cozy and inviting atmosphere. The staff are friendly and organically connect with patrons, often remembering names and orders. The cafe has an expansive menu that includes snacks, meals, coffee, tea, wines, and cocktails, so there's definitely something for everyone. you'll find a diverse crowds here from high schoolers to graduate students, many come to study while others casually hang out, this speaks to the versatility of the space. The café strikes a perfect balance, it never feels too stuffy or too commercial. I've traveled to many places and have been to many cafes and bakeries, but this one is probably my absolute favorite. It's such a vibe. On an unrelated note the lady manager makes a damn good Aperol spritz.

Cafe Stella is a delight! They have all kinds of drinks like coffee and tea! As a tea lover this option was exciting to see. I ordered the Earl Grey and it was amazing. You can order a cup or a whole teapot! The place is super cute with charming decor. I went on Jazz music night which was such a fun experience. The chocolate chip banana bread was perfect and went well with the tea. As far as parking it's street parking mostly , I heard there is a tiny lot in the back. I ended having to walk a block, but it was pleasant. Have fun at Cafe Stella, it's great

Same coffee, brunch and treat (sweet, savory) vibe in an expanded space. Dedicated bar counter appears to serve alcohol too. WiFi and restrooms for customers. Lots of spots to work, read, sip, and/or eat; gotta love the various knick knacks and eclectic decor. 2 breakfast sandwiches and 2 coffees for $25 w tip.

The herbed eggs were the most delicious eggs I have ever eaten! The herbs added a wonderful freshness and lightness for be dish and the buttered toast was a perfect pairing. I didn't care for their drip, so I'd will likely try the pour over next time (because I definitely need to have those eggs again!). I love the aesthetic here but found the music to be pretty loud this trip.

I've been a Stella regular for about five years. The coffee (roasted in house) has always been consistent and fairly priced. You can get a refillable can for your beans to be more eco-friendly and also get a discount (free drink) on refill. The food, in my experience, has been complimentary. The variety added to the menu in the post-COVID expansion into the adjacent building (1909 colonial, if you look around at the decor) has been a boon to business. Prior to the expansion, Stella was a bustling and always-busy coffee shop with decent food, good coffee, little seating, and always seemingly busy in half the space you see today. After the construction/expansion, menu change, addition of a full bar (which makes an excellent old fashioned and other cocktails) they've got the same problem that often happens on the interstate - you add another lane and it just attracts more drivers. For a coffee shop in the heart of Ghent, a great issue to have. With ample seating, love music events, and the coziest atmosphere in the area, I'll take Stella over Starbucks anyway.

Cafe Stella is always the spot to go to for me to socialize or to enjoy their great food and drink items! The customer service is always great! They're very polite and smiling. I love the ambiance of electric rustic feel. Especially at night! The lights make it feel warm and special. My favorite item to eat is the Filipino breakfast and French toast! Downing with a pot of tea!

Huge coffee shop with plenty of seating and a nice outdoor area to enjoy coffee and people watch. Our coffees were delicious! Service was good and prices were reasonable.

Was craving some breakfast for dinner was not disappointed. We ordered French Toast made with their homemade Challah that was perfectly fluffy and the right amount of sweet, a leek and Swiss Quiche I was obsessed with that had a crust that melted in your mouth, and a salmon egg scramble that we would definitely order again. The ambiance was so comforting and unique, and the staff were so nice and welcoming. We will for sure be coming back.

Cafe Stella is a unique cafe filled with antiques and artwork! There is plenty of seating for all which makes it a fabulous place to socialize with friends or to pop a squat and do some work. The staff is very welcoming and helpful when you're ordering. I didn't feel rushed when I wasn't sure of what flavor to choose for my latte. I didn't get the name of the person at the register but he is tall and skinny and gave me a French vibe. lol. Shout-out to him for being warm and delightful. It's such a busy place so the staff are constantly on the move. I see that some people say that service is slow. I didn't get that impression when I was there compared to other cafes in the area where the service is truly slow. It is a lively spot and proves itself to be a neighborhood staple. The menu is extensive and they have lots to offer from coffee to tea to full on meals to desserts. What caught my eye immediately was the display case of treats. And I was automatically drawn to the almond cake. My brother's eye caught the coffee cardamom cake. My cousin ordered the cinnamon bun. The almond cake was THE BEST I ever had. It was everything I imagined it would be. It was moist, the flavor was just right, and it was the perfect pairing to my latte. The cardamom cake was THE SECOND BEST. I always heard of cardamom in cake on the Great British Baking Show but never had it until I had this cake... and I can't believe I was missing out on this powerful flavor. I highly recommend getting both!!! The cinnamon bun was kind of a bummer. It was dry and lacked the filling in the inside. The double latte that I ordered had almond milk and their brown sugar syrup. It was fantastic as you can probably tell by the photo attached to this review, with my face approving the taste. My brother ordered the butterfly pea latte which was a pretty blue. He liked the flavor but to him, it was too grainy for his liking. He wasn't sure what that grainy-ness was. I couldn't put my finger on it either. But I'm sure if it was nice and smooth, he would have had 0 complaints. When I want a more poppin' place to chat with my friends, this is the spot I'll be coming back to when I'm in town! Def stop by and get those cakes I mentioned!!!! :)

Very cute place. Went mid morning on a Saturday. It was pretty busy but no big line. The quinoa bowl was okay. I would probably get Something more substantial next time!

This was so good. I mean really good. That place was very large. Like plenty of vibes going on in different parts of the cafe. The staff are really cool and down to earth and answered all my questions quickly. That's my favorite part. Tip this business

I tried their longaniza breakfast and it was delish. Their ice coffee mocha is fantastic also. Definitely be there soon as I am craving their food and coffee selections. Service was quick and it gets busy at times. Table are hard to find btw so be prepared as it gets busy at times especially during breakfast and lunch hours.

Cafe Stella is a local favorite! From breakfast to lunch, coffee to cocktails, the menu has amazing variety, and all of it is done incredibly well. I love their shakshuka, and the pastries are always delicious. I've never ordered something I didn't like. The staff is always nice, and I love the atmosphere. It's a great place to catch up with friends, do homework, or just enjoy the weather outside.

I love going to Cafe Stella! I usually stick to coffee and baked treats but Stella truly has it all: cocktails, lunch and dinner, smoothies, and house-roasted beans. My favorite drinks are their chai lattes and London fog! The atmosphere is so cozy; you'll see people catching up, studying, drawing, journaling; it's an all around great neighborhood spot we're luck to have in Ghent!

Nice little spot for a quiet coffee break. The menu isn't huge, but has enough choices if you're not too picky. I liked that the coffee didn't taste burnt or overly sweet. Seating is limited, so not great if you're in a big group. Still, I'd come back if I was nearby.

I came in during a hot afternoon and the air-conditioning was such a relief. I ordered an iced coffee and sat by the window. The drink wasn't anything to rave about, but it did the job. Staff was quick and polite, which I appreciated. A basic, clean, reliable coffee spot nothing more, nothing less.

A wonderful hidden gem in Norfolk, nice comfortable feel to hang out and have some delicious coffee (owner roasts their own beans!!) and a sandwich or snack, there's nothing like it.

I am absolutely, positively in LOVE with Cafe Stella. I'll lead with saying I've never really been a cafe girly; I always have been accustomed to working from my home office. The other week I decided to get a change of scenery. I asked a couple of friends and they said to check out Cafe Stella. After finding street parking, I walked up to see the cutest outside seating followed by a cozy, clean, home feeling inside! I walked up to the counter and saw a host of options from food, to drinks, including alcoholic ones! My goal is to try atleast everything on their menu once! There are going to be a few things mentioned that I don't have pictures for, but I hope you take my word and try them out! Matcha Peach latte/drink: infinity/10- Matcha has always had this earthy, dirt taste that I have had a distain for, BUT THIS WAS THE BEST MATCHA DRINK I HAVE EVER HAD. Changed my whole perspective on Matcha drinks. Hot Chocolate with Oat Milk 100000/10- ok so I have been bragging about the Hot Cocoa at Black Rifle, but THIS took the cake! Utter perfection. Waffle Sandwiches with eggs 10/10 - delicious! They have a great cook in the kitchen! Iced Green tea 7.5/10 - flavor was really good, but if you require sweetener, make sure you ask before hand! Korean Beef Tacos 10/10 - Picker eater here!!! I ate it with no substitutions! And finished them all! It comes with 3. Flavor is off the charts! Only thing I didn't get was cilantro because I can't eat it. Otherwise I'd get everything again! Please check them out! The staff is amazing as well! Very helpful and friendly!

Use to be a great place, now horrible. The temperature was cold, the service was decent however the food I had was tasty, but small, cold and overpriced. The place has gone downhill since I first started here in 2016.

I absolutely love this place!! Its such a good place to work, read, and chat with friends which most cafes are only good at 1. Their prices are amazing and they have so much variety its kinda overwhelming. Staff has also aways been nice, even when im indecisive lol. Only down side is parking, which is street or bust, but i love this place too much to give it anything less than 5.

A friend recommended this place and said it was a cute place to get coffee and brunch. We went and were extremely disappointed and left with having to get food AFTER our food there. Price (1/5): Small portions for the price! The Breakfast Burrito was over $8 for 5 bites. The Breakfast Burrito was $10 for less than a handful of food. Such a rip off. Service (4/5): The staff was nice, but didn't seem to know how to use the ordering system. The person ringing us up had to ask for help, must have been new. When you order, you get a number on a metal stand, then the staff brings out your food to the table. Food (1/5): The portions were SMALL!!! Look at the pictures! I was so upset when I received my breakfast bowl. It was 1 egg, 1/6 of a tomato, 1 slice of ham, and HALF a potato's worth of home fries. I couldn't believe they serve that small of portions for brunch. The breakfast burrito was McDonald's sized. We were stunned. This is more of a tapas place than a brunch place. Menu (5/5): They have a lot to offer: brunch, lunch, dinner, drinks. It was quite an array of options. Coffee (3/5): Their coffee was ok... nothing special. Pretty disappointing since they're marketed as a coffee shop/roastery. TLDR: Boring coffee. TINY portions. Wouldn't come again. Went elsewhere else to eat right after.

I have been to this cafe a few times and never had any issues until today on December 10 around 7pm. I came here alone at first and was waiting for friends to come and join me. When my friends arrived and sat at the table for less than 10 minutes, one of the owners decided to approach us and ask us about ordering food and drinks. We were going to order but she decided to assume that we weren't. She had a very rude and condescending tone. We This was completely uncalled for as there was another big group who was there and she didn't approach them at all. I really did love the ambience, big menu, and closes later than most cafes. But I will not be coming back and going to another cafe.

Great hang out plus the food is great!! Love the decor! Had the lemon bar with coffee with great local musicians playing their tune! Definitely will go back!

Yes yes yes ! This place is a must go. Large menu of drinks and food. Huge dining area with lots of nice, comfy seating. Great service. This place is a top notch coffee and small food cafe! I had a hazelnut latte, which was delicious. They have lots of flavor options. They also have a large menu of coffee/espresso drinks. I also had the breakfast burrito- super good, but I wish I had some more hot sauce on the side... a little zing would've been nice, ha! I can't wait to bring my laptop here and relax while working some days! I will definitely be back :)

The owner is always super sweet to me. I like the iced mocha and the teas. The new upgrade to the store where they added on, makes the atmosphere super relaxing and the music is great.

What a delightful coffee shop! I was in the neighborhood and decided to pop in for a little caffeine boost and bite before heading to my meeting. It was a nice, bright morning and the patio was filled with other patrons enjoying their cup of Joe in the warm sunshine. When I opened the doors, I was pleasantly surprised by how open and spacious it was! The place was bustling with activity with patrons either remote working or meeting up with friends. - Parking - Street parking. Good luck haha. - TLC - The Barista was really helpful and attentive and prepared my items quickly. - Noms & Sips - I opted for a Cafe au Lait and a slice of Almond Cake. The coffee was great, but the cake was my fave part! It was dense and soft and the perfect amount of Almond flavoring. Sometimes, I find almond items tend to have too much Almond extract and almost make it taste too artificial but this was perfect! I'm excited to go back and try more of their items. I really loved the vibe of the place and will definitely be back! Stay safe, Friends!

My experience at Stella was very disappointing and such a let down. I often frequent Stella to study and get work done, but her demeanor and attitude was a complete turn off. The Filipina owner of this establishment was very condescending and rude, telling my friends and I "Can I take your order? These tables are for customers only.". When we had just entered Stella and were trying to situate ourselves, two of my friends even going up to the counter to look at the menu. Not even 5 minutes within our visit she came up confronted us, assuming we were not customers or going to buy anything. It was such a shame as I was telling my friends of this amazing Filipino owned local cafe, with a warm tone and a lovely ambience. I used to love this cafe, but this experience has completely ruined my perception of this establishment.

I've been a regular customer since 2017 and loved the place food, drinks and ambiance. However I will never come back after the horrible customer service I experienced. Me and my friends needed a place open late to study for finals. I happily suggested Cafe Stella as I loved this place and thought they would enjoy it too. Furthermore I knew this was a Filipino-owned business through an article I read a while ago and wanted to bring in more customers to support this small business as I am a Filipino myself. However, we were faced with a rude welcoming from the owner herself. Me and my friends were setting our stuff down because it was busy and wanted to get situated before getting food and drinks. Two of my friends went to the bathroom and took a glance at the menu and sat back down with us. We talked about how big the menu was excited to try. Not even 5 minutes into sitting down the owner came up to us and rudely asked "can I get you anything." We were confused because we knew we had to go up to the counter to get food. All of us sat in shock for a few seconds before she said in a condescending voice "seating is for customers only" She assumed we were not getting food despite only being there for 5 minutes my friends looking at the menu. We felt singled out as she just assumed that we were not going to buy anything. Furthermore we felt like we were belittled. No sh*t that seating is only for customers. We are adults fully capable of understanding that. After looking through other reviews I quickly realized that this was not uncommon. I am very disappointed in this small business and will never come back here or recommend this cafe to anyone ever again. Please save your business for cafes that treat their customers with decency.

During my five years in VA, one of my favorite spots to post up shop and study/get work done especially on the weekends. Don't sleep on their food menu either - they've got lots to offer although some items are pricier but especially for the area they've got a quality selection. I like their breakfast skillet which is well seasoned with crispy potatoes and bits of savory bacon but could have more to it. Their lemon bars and brownies are also very good; the brownie is very fudgy and rich. It just kinda cuts through your fork like butter. I would skip their breakfast quesadilla as it was pricey for what you actually get; it's rather simple but has a nice drizzle of hot sauce because what are eggs without hot sauce, personally? Their coffee is better than average and they've a variety of flavors/syrups. If you're not feeling coffee they've got some yummy smoothies (mango, strawberry) and iced tea selections as well. There's something out here for everyone. It's easier to find a seat here than other coffee shops but for a while (and they still might be doing this) they were implementing a two hour limit on wifi to keep things moving which put a damper on things.

Cool establishment that is bigger than it looks. I was only looking for a coffee but this place has far more than that. There is a great coffee selection, as well as a variety of food selections as well. I ended up getting an iced mocha, which was okay, nothing fancy. Customer service was good, and everyone was cordial, which is always great. So good that i didn't notice who the cashier was (see receipt pic). I have to admit, if that really was him, he was much nicer than I read about and he made a decent mocha. Also, kudos to Cafe Stella for not discriminating, looks like good help is good help no matter where it comes from.

I love Cafe Stella. On sundays they have live music and its a great place if you want to study. It can get a little loud so if you need quiet then maybe a library is better. But the food is amazing and i love their tea as well. Great prices and great vibes to be hanging out with friends or studying. Always a great time at cafe stella.

The restaurant is nice inside it's like a coffee shop and you seat yourself. You order at the registry and take a number. I ordered the Korean beef tacos and it wasn't the type of beef I expected but they were okay. My friend ordered a Korean pork rice bowl that looked good and they loved it. Although my food wasn't my favorite I enjoyed it and they had an extensive menu so I would definitely come back again to try other options.

Have visited numerous times over the years. The staff is outstanding, usually attentive & pleasant. Ordered a pot of peppermint tea & a large coffee. The server delivered the coffee in a "to go" cup as apposed to a ceramic mug as we were partaking there, not a big deal. (They weren't that busy.) The tea was ready within a few minutes & was delicious. The 3 Star rating was the condition of the interior, to say the least the cafe was filthy. The heavily stained/torn seat cushions to the dirt/grim on the window sills and dirty old cobb webs on the light fixtures; it was truly gross. Please take some time to do a thorough deep clean. I realize the vibe is shabby chic, but please consider replacing the torn/heavily stained cushions with clean replacements. We always enjoy Cafe Stella when in town, it's a regular stop for us.
