19 Best Hotel Brunch Buffets in Hong Kong

"Hongkongers love a buffet, and Café Too is among the city's most popular. Expect to see multigenerational families who've opted out of dim sum brunch, as well as groups of friends catching up over a long, relaxed meal. The variety of food is astounding: Apart from an impressive cold seafood section—with whole lobsters, crabs, shrimp, clams, and sashimi—the Asian food offerings are particularly strong, from noodle stations to meats cooked to order on the teppan (Japanese flat top)." - Kate Springer, Janice Leung Hayes

Celebrated a birthday dinner here and for the amount of money paid, the food was acceptable but not outstanding! Seating was general compact as we were quite close to our left and right neighbors. One of their theme is the steamed lobster however, more than half the lobster tail were soft / mushy and only a few were springy!! I do see worker preparing the lobster and seems fresh….. the prime rib was average and once the main pieces served, there were only beef alternatives…. The sashimi was alright and offered tuna toro, salmon, fresh small shrimps, and selection of sushi. They definitely had a lot of offering but nothing really stood out…. They do have a great deselection of juices and cold teas which was nice!! The server was quite good on the other hand clearing plates frequently and quickly!! Overall still a nice dinner but even pre purchasing from Klook @900+, I still feel it’s over priced.

Beautifully decorated for Christmas! Wide selection of food from basic sashimi, hot & cold seafood, roasts, Chinese double boiled soup and plenty of cakes to choose from. No oysters and steamed half lobster was weirdly mushy. Overall better than average Christmas buffet in terms of food variety and quality, of course cannot expect fine dining standard.

Huge variety of food, but at a sub-par quality, especially the meats. The cold dishes like salad, seafood, and sushi were all decent, but the hot food really needs improvement. All the meats were tough and dry, except for the Cantonese style soy sauce chicken. The dessert station was also quite nice.

✨ An Epicurean Evening at cafe TOO ✨ At cafe TOO, Island Shangri‑La, every dinner is a love letter to Hong Kong’s vibrant culinary heritage. From the moment you step onto the 7th floor, you’re met with a glittering panorama of live seafood displays — lobsters, abalone, clams, and flower crabs glistening on ice and in elegant tanks — each catch a testament to the chefs’ uncompromising commitment to quality and spectacle. 🍽️ Watch as masters of their craft transform these treasures into sublime creations: steamed Boston lobster, impossibly tender beneath a whisper of garlic and a lotus leaf; scallops with a satisfying bounce, infused with vermicelli and aromatic garlic, steaming gently in grand bamboo baskets. Every bite is a celebration of the ocean — succulent, pristine, unforgettable. 🌊 On weekends and public holidays, indulge in thick slices of tuna belly sashimi (toro) alongside creamy abalone, glistening pipi shrimp, and handcrafted sushi rolls. The hot counters brim with signature sensations: the heady perfume of Maotai drunken prawns, the spicy tang of Thai tom yum conch, the irresistible smokiness of Typhoon Shelter‑style stir‑fried giant river prawns, and tender sea bass brightened with pickled mustard greens. Savour the slow‑simmered fish maw in emerald abalone sauce, luxuriously gelatinous and deeply savoury, or rediscover local icons — Yat Lok roast goose and Summer Palace’s honey‑glazed BBQ pork — reimagined for buffet indulgence. For lighter moments, crisp salads, vibrant seasonal vegetables, roasted US beef, velvety Chinese soups, hand‑pulled noodles, and delicate dim sum await. And then, the finale: a dessert corner to rival the city’s finest pâtisseries. Think gelato, hand‑whipped soufflés, glossy tarts, Hong Kong egg waffles, matcha tiramisu, panna cotta, delicate macarons, and more — each artfully plated, each impossible to resist. 🍮🍫 Oceanic elegance. Local spirit. Each bite, pure delight. 📍 cafe TOO, Level 7, Island Shangri‑La, Hong Kong 🕰 Dinner Buffet: 6:30pm – 10:00pm daily #CafeTOO #IslandShangriLa #HongKongEats #BuffetLovers #SeafoodBuffet

Desserts are excellent. For hot waffles, you need to wait for a fresh batch. Pistachio brownies were decedent. Oolong tea ice-cream is a must try. However, none of the shrimps and prawns, both cold and hot, were deveined, which is a huge disappointment since the shrimps were tasty. For hot drinks, you must ask the waiters to bring them to you. Only cold drinks are self-served. For hot crispy food, recommend you wait for fresh batches as they get softened and chewy if left out for too long.

A very good experience. Many varieties of food but no oysters. Many hot food choices. Service was amazing! They were fast cleaning up used plates. The Christmas decoration was so festive!

Great buffet although a tad expensive. It was Japanese themed so enjoyed the sashimi, ikura, wagyu beef they had on offer together with the usual offerings. Loved the cheese tart for dessert. Food of good quality for a buffet and the staff were really efficient and pleasant. Not cheap though.

Great buffet spread for breakfast. If you're staying at the Island Shangri-la, do try the breakfast at least once. Hot stations of local HK food with milk tea, local noodle soup, congee and the usual Western omelette and eggs station. The staff also goes around serving specials of the day such as soup dumplings. There's even dim sum at the buffet. A good indulgent morning experience.
