On Monday, September 15th, we were in Amsterdam and decided to stop by this place while walking at night because we really liked the atmosphere. The wine and the setting were truly wonderful, and we enjoyed sitting there for about an hour and a half.
However, when we asked for the bill, we encountered an unexpected and unpleasant situation. Since I had cash euros with me, I kindly asked Ms. Elin if I could pay in cash, but she said it was not possible. We respected this and then politely requested to split the bill. Unfortunately, her reaction was shocking—she seemed upset, and first threw the card machine down in front of me quite harshly, and then did the same to my friend.
We were honestly very disappointed and surprised. Such behavior does not reflect the quality of such a beautiful place. We wanted to share this with you.
