A1, my new favourite spot, they got plant based and halal options. What more could I ask for! They even brought me hot sauce with my order (I didn’t even ask but I always do usually after I get served) it’s like they know me :) They were even generous enough to bring me an ice water even though I had a coffee already. Small details matter and now they have a new repeat customer.

Friendly service, fun vibe, great food. This is my go to breakfast and lunch spot for a quick bite, drink or smoothie. I always get the chai latte and the bacon egg and cheddar bagel, but their smoothies (and everything else) are great too. I love that you can draw on the walls, it makes it feel like a fun community spot. My wife and I come here all the time, lovely place :)

I love the vibe! Great place for kids and adults. You can write on the walls and even watch TV. There’s a large room in back with tons of seating and even books. I liked my croissant with bacon egg and cheese. The berries were fresh. My iced egg coffee was really good too, definitely can’t taste the egg. It’s creamy. My husband had the mushroom burger he gave it a 6/10.

Today, I indulged in the egg, cheese, and spinach croissant, and it was an absolute delight for my taste buds. The menu boasts a tempting array of options, ensuring there's something for every palate. It's become more than a place to enjoy a meal—it's a comforting embrace on the busiest of days.

Jasmine’s customer service is amazing and always brightens my day, also has the best coffee in the town and food is delicious. The staff is great and service is always quick!

Every single person that works here is absolutely loving and kind. They always treat you with smiles and greet you. The food and energy is immeasurable. Rare to find that nowadays.

I love their lox bagel. It's reliably good every time. And, you see that little condiment thimble? That's really tasty hot sauce I think they make themselves. Points off on atmosphere because the second, big room inside has a really boring and bland interior. UPDATE: They've decorated their larger room much better now since my original review.

They served burnt bacon with an inedible croissant and a stale bagel. Not at all reflective of the reviews.

Love this place--it's close to home, and while there are a few other, nearby coffee spots, this one is our favorite. The owners are so warm and welcoming. We became regulars after our first visit!

Yes!!! This is my weekend breakfast/brunch spot. I can recommend several different items from their menu. A solid breakfast spot!!! *they have created a new garlic potatoes side that I also recommend.

This place is wonderful ! The staff is kind, attentive, and even let the community make art in the walls ! We had an iced mocha and a vanilla latte, the coffee here is amazing!!!!!!! The garlic potatoes are yummy!!! We ate a bacon egg and cheese croissants and they were delicious!!!!! I will for sure return to this place!

Stopped in for breakfast when visiting Oakland for the weekend. Lots of fun drink options with a Middle Eastern flair - chai, rose, turmeric, etc. The staff was so kind and helped suggest what to try. The garlic potatoes were goooooood. Lots of garlic and herbs, so much flavor.

The garlic potatoes were BOMB! Our waitresses were super nice and always smiling. We also got an egg and bacon bagel and was delicious. Fresh orange juice which I appreciate a lot. It was nice seeing everyone's memories written or drawn on the wall, the ambiance was good in general. Also clean restrooms.

I came back here to try some of their food and a smoothie. Portobello panini: this is unfortunately the only vegetarian panini that they offer, so I went for it. It was pretty good overall; I liked the cheese and the condiments inside. It comes with a side of chili oil. When you take out the sticks, the insides tend to fall out though, especially the onions and the portobello since it's more slippery. I'm not really a fan of portobello though, so I hope they come up with different vegetarian protein options for the future. Sali matcha smoothie: it honestly tastes very similar to the honey matcha latte except with a slightly thicker and less liquid consistency, and no ice cubes. But this isn't a bad thing, it did taste good. I wasn't able to figure out what fruits they put in it since it was mostly overshadowed by the matcha. They have a lot of yummy food and drink options, so I definitely recommend it for breakfast, brunch, or lunch.

My husband is very particular about his coffee, usually likes Cambodian, but he said this is the BEST vanilla latte he's ever had. The bacon egg and cheese bagel and bagel and lox were both fresh ingredients and soft bread(the bagel wasn't toasted- I'm sure you can ask). I used Uber and had an unfortunate encounter where they left the coffee behind even with the barista trying to get him to come back. I'm very glad I ended up just driving to pick up the coffee and matcha latte bc this breakfast was truly a treat. The barista gave me a delicious white chocolate macadamia cookie for the troubles and was so sweet. Ample street parking around 9am. It's right off the highway in Oakland & about 10-15 minute from Alameda.

Great breakfast sandwiches! Delicious morning juices! Great coffee as well! Parking wasn't too bad, but that will depend on what time you get there. plenty of indoor seating and the walls are interesting to read.

What a great spot to enjoy some coffee and breakfast (in the afternoon!). Walls covered in beautiful and playful art. Lots of seating options, in two rooms. Great service from staff. The lox bagel on asiago, breakfast croissant (with ham, egg, and cheddar), and banana bread loaf were all super tasty... the sauce that came on the side with our sandwiches was intense (but I have a low tolerance for spiciness). We enjoyed our drinks as well, the kale 1669 juice, and iced mocha. And no problems finding street parking on the same block on a Sunday afternoon.

This cafe is super cute, kinda hidden and super delicious! My partner and I stumbled upon this place as we were leaving Oakland. Food- Delicious! We got the egg, spinach and onion croissant and a Turkey sausage, egg and mozzarella croissant. Eggs were fresh and ingredients were quality. I don't eat beef or pork so the Turkey options were definitely a plus. They also serve this chili oil which was absolutely amazing!!! It was spicy and flavorful. 5/5!! Drinks - I got an iced vanilla late which was okay. I would give this a 3/5. My partner got an egg late but lacked flavor. Overall 3/5. Ambiance - cute inside seating, full of plants and central location 4/5. Service - Friendly staff! Accommodating and welcoming. 5/5 Overall, this place was a great find. We will coming back here for years to come.

Nice and spacious inside! Lots of seating and a good variety on the menu. Street parking and there's always construction going on downtown it seems. Got the egg, onion, spinach croissant sandwich which was good. Could have done without the mayo but they have a small cup of chili oil which won me back. Various TVs and literal writing on walls gives a lively vibe.

Such a small intimate cafe! I came in on a Sunday morning and there was a line the entire time. I ordered to dine in, and lucky enough got the last table open. I went from the Matcha Honey Latte & Crab Melt Panini! They made it fresh, so I waited for about 25 mins but it was well worth it! First off, the matcha was so so so smooth! I drank it al fast because it was that tasty. My crab melt had the perfect toppings and sauce they put on it was the razzle dazzle that did it for me! I would pay that price again and again lol .

Giving them 5 stars because there was no complaints for this being delivery ! Let's get into it ! I've ordered twice from here on door dash . I definitely have to give them another review for indoor service . But I was very pleased both times I ordered for delivery. Can we say HIGH QUALITY please ! Everything was fresh and real lol . The first time I ordered I got a lox Asiago bagel. It comes with tomatoe and spinach . And gave me the option to add crab meat , onions , and avocado . Real crab meat ! Didn't taste fishy at all . Smoked salmon was tasty . They weren't shy with stuffing my bagel I was very satisfied! Was even able to eat the other half a little later since it was so huge ! My second time ordering delivery I got the crab melt panini ! I was able to add avocado and portobello mushroom which was a thick nice piece ! So yummy . Also got bacon on the side and it was plenty and crispy . Oh my goodness ! First it came still warm which is highly appreciated. It's totally different when you're getting a bagel and having cold meat versus a hot sandwich . So happy it came warm still . The bread was perfect ! Toasted just right and wasn't soggy by the time it got here . Crab meat was again real crab meat .I can just tell that this place takes pride in using fresh high quality ingredients. I definitely recommend this place and will continue ordering delivery. Now I just need to get over there and say Thankyou and eat there in person !

Staff vey nice but I ordered a bagel with cream cheese..... but there's was a very very thin layer of cream cheese. It looks like butter. Nothings there. Lol. $3.75 thought I'd get a little more cream cheese.

I had the ham and egg croissant with an ice coffee and it was delish. The staff were friendly and the vibe was peaceful. Just what I needed to start my day.

My big baby. Couldn't wait for his wet burrito next door and seen a sign outside this place about a salmon bagel.. he couldn't help himself lol. So we went halfsies on a salmon bagel! I did ask them to fully cook salmon. I personally want a fan. He enjoyed it. Salmon was mad salty. I also ordered a Strawberry Lemonade Uccello Chill. Very refreshing & flavorful! Customer service though was a 10/10. The girl at the reg was so nice! She took order and cooked it for us. She even brought my stuff alll the way out to the car to me. Now that's great service! I would be back to try something else.

This is such a cute cafe w/ amazing drinks. The service is quick and friendly but the star of the show is the iced matcha honey latte sub oatmilk. Don't walk, run to put this order in. The matcha is so flavorful and the overall drink is far from watered down. I literally come here 2-3 times a week just for this specific drink lol. Their food looks super tasty and fresh too. I need to order a croissant sandwich the next time I come in.

Nice atmosphere. Richard is very friendly, and the service is good. Limited menu, mostly sandwiches and variations, but what's available is interesting and tastes great.

This coffee shop is cute for a quick coffee pick me up or a sit down and enjoy your meal. The service is great ! I ordered a breakfast croissant and a red eye coffee. Once my food and drink was ready, the staff walked over to where I was sitting and brought me my goodies. And I noticed that while people were sitting down enjoying their food, the staff would bring them cups of water. They seemed very accommodating to the customers. Definitely recommend, will be coming back for some coffee and food.

Basic coffee breakfast spot. The workers are nice, a slight language barrier but nothing serious when we're only taking about a breakfast sandwich and coffee. How was the food? Latte & regular coffee: I thought the latte and regular coffee was too sweet. I prefer to add my own sugar but they add the cream and sugar for the customers. Unfortunately it tasted like coffee candy. It was unbearably sweet so I threw my coffee out. Breakfast sandwich: order the ham, egg, and cheese croissant. It was very basic and I probably won't order it again. I think they mean well at this Cafe and the employees are nice. The drinks and food are mediocre at best.

I walked in on a whim after a business meeting downtown, the nice person at the front door welcomed me in and so I figured, "why not". I was on an empty stomach and stumbled upon this place and was pulled to their selection of fresh made sandwiches. I chose the lox and bagel sandwich along with an iced coffee. The sandwich was so delicious with the soft bagel, right amount of cream cheese and smoked salmon. This sandwich came with tomatoes and spinach which was the perfect crunch. I can't speak too much on the coffee but I can recall enjoying it. I recommend you check out this little hole in the wall.

Came here to do some work during a weekday in this era of remote work - and it was a good choice! Fast and free wifi. Good selection of coffee & tea (with many house specials, which I love) AND food. I sat by the window at the high benches since I wanted to be as close to ventilation for COVID precautions - there is one table outside but it's quite directly in the sun if you come here in the afternoon. Came here hungry and left satisated (treated myself to a good steak panini), all while being productive!

I came here during the Oakland (Run the Town) Marathon but placed the order ahead. We ordered two breakfast croissants: one turkey sausage, egg, and pepper Jack and one bacon, egg, and cheddar - both we comforting, especially on a rainy day. Service was friendly and humble, matches the vibe of the coffee shop. And let's be honest, who doesn't like supporting local Mom & Pop shops?!! Definitely returning!

The best little local cafe! The garlic fries and garlic potatoes are amazing. They include a spicy sauce that has a little kick and goes great with your meal - I put it on my potatoes and lox. There is also a large back room that is great for working if you need the space. I've been here a few times but this time I got the iced honey matcha latte and it was really smooth and tasty.

Food is super nice!!! Open almost everyday you can sit and work! Good wifi, drinks and i love the people here!!! Thanks a lot

The Lavendar Latte is a little sweet for me but happy with the rest. Ordered through Yelp and ready within 10 minutes. Can't complaint on a Sunday. Thank you!

Cute unassuming coffee shop! Cute interior. Service was wonderful. Very nice people working there. We ordered drip coffee with cream, vanilla latte, croissant breakfast sandwich and bagel sandwich. Drip coffee was great and smooth tasting. The latte was extremely hot, had to let it cool for awhile to drink it. We think the milk got scorched too. The breakfast croissant was tasty just too much onions. I thought the spinach and onion would've been cooked into the egg but wasn't. The bagel was good.

Looking for a place to have brunch this morning and came across Uccello. Coming in there were a few people waiting for their food but no line! Jasmine greeted us at the counter and was very patient while we were deciding what to order. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and was making great suggestions/combinations to order. She also helped me save $1.50 by recommending I order my chips separately instead of making a sandwich a meal. The drinks came out first. The egg coffee was different.. LOL but it was yummy! The strawberry-lemonade chill was a surprise! I was expecting a normal liquid version but the slush was BOMB and it paired very nicely with the steak panini just like she suggested! The food came shortly after. The lox bagel can only be described as combustingly good. The crispness of the everything bagel paired with the soft lox and slight crunch of the spinach and sliced onions made an impeccable bagel. The steak sandwich was scrumdiddly! I requested no tomatoes per personal preference but it was quite a life changing first bite. The steak was tender and seasoned perfect, the lettuce was crunchy and caramelized onions sweet. The garlic fries were out of this world!! The contrast between the crunch of the fried potato and soft insides made every bite enjoyable. All in all I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quick brunch! Very humble little spot and I would come again. 5/5

Omg! Was rushing to work and picked up a quick bagel from Cafe Uccello a couple months ago. The staff is super super sweet. I always call Jasmine 10 mins before I reach and my order is ready for pick up! Also if you decide to sit and seat! I love watched the morning news and getting the updates while enjoying my amazing breakfast and coffee! Feels like home here! Love it!! TRY THEIR GARLIC POTATOES! To die for!

The epitome of 'service with a smile'. I came in today after I fell down and had a cut on my hand and my nose, the cashier was great and offered me some bandages / alcohol, so they already received 5 stars before I even tried the food. Staff was very nice, and never broke a smile. It was refreshing. I had a portobello sandwich for lunch and oh man was it tasty. It's a bit of a messy sandwich, but the taste was worth it. Warm and crispy bread with gooey cheese and a grilled portobello. If you like spicy food, definitely get it with the spicy sauce. The sandwich could have been bigger, but otherwise, no other complaints.

A little hole in the wall in downtown Oakland. Parking can be a pain, but there are plenty of pay lots that are nearby. I come here regularly and have nothing bad to say about it ever.. Coffee is always on point, lattes are tasty, and their crab sandwich is my all time favorite! I work nearby and whenever I am on the run or need a quick bite, this is my go-to. Staff are super friendly and quick to serve. Check them out if you have the chance!

I'm sorry to not be able to rate Cafe Uccello higher. The truth is that if a few little things had been different, I would have selected five stars. My friends wanted to meet for breakfast, and after finding a lot of the places in Oakland that I want to try are closed on Sundays (at least in the morning), I suggested Cafe Uccello, which had also been on my bucket list. The first thing I noticed upon arrival was that contrary to what their Yelp page says, there was no outdoor seating. It's a small space, and between wearing masks, customer conversations, and other noise, my friends and I could barely hear each other until we moved to a table near the entrance once it became available. I knew I wanted to try the crab melt; what I didn't know was that we would have to wait 40+ minutes for our orders to come out. When I placed my order, I was asked if I wanted it spicy. I replied that I would prefer very light spice, or better yet, the spicy sauce on the side. The person who took my order understood this -- it's even on my receipt -- but my crab melt was presented just like my friend's, and we both tasted the major kick. The sandwich was tasty, but the spice was overwhelming, leaving my nose running for the next hour. The combination of the surprise absence of outdoor seating, the noise, the long wait, and the avoidable mistake on my order is what earned a three-star review.

Located just an 8-minute walk (or 2-minute drive) from where we were staying, my friend and I enjoyed one last breakfast together before I flew back home. I love quiet, chill, sleepy mornings in Oakland. Cafe Uccello was still populated with its regulars, so it wasn't a complete ghost town. Service was humble and quick, from what I remember. I got a taro latte (!!!) and a lox bagel. One of my favorite, most memorable breakfasts. Who makes taro lattes?! So good and filled with caffeine. And the lox bagel seemed small at first but turned out to be the perfect size and proportion of ingredients. We sat on the barstools next to the front window, and it just felt so Oakland. Love!!

Came across Cafe Uccello while wandering around Lake Merritt. Bagel sandwiches were bomb and I love the chili oil that comes with it. Staff were very nice and plenty of tables to dine in. Dirty chai iced coffee was delicious. Restrooms were very clean.

This cafe is a local treasure. My favorite place for smoothies and sandwiches in and around the town. Recommend the crab melt with garlic fries, mango yayi smoothie and a quick sweet bite from the pastry case. Cannot go wrong with Ucello. Service is always amazing, kind and friendly, plenty of seating, prices are reasonable and food is delicious!

This is such a bomb cafe! I come here all the time to work on my laptop and the vibe is absolutely amazing! Not just the vibe but the food is so so good! They make everything so fresh and I see so much love from the ladies working here. No matter how busy they are they treat everyone with so much love. The customer service is definitely above 5 stars. Let's not forget the best thing, their coffee! I got their matcha honey latte with a shot of expresso and holy cow (no pun intended) it was AMAZING! Everything here is a 5/5.

The food was so so good! Omg the amount of everything in the panini was PERFECT! Their crab melt and steak panini are also my top favorites. The service was exceptional. Everyone working here is always so lovely! Such a vibe! Great place to just vibe out. They always have amazing music.

Just orders two bagels and potatoes. The potatoes were very disappointing. They were still hard on inside, very little seasoning and barely roasted like I have previously had at your place. I feel like I gave you a $6 tip because I had to throw the potatoes out. Our bagels were also mediocre. #disappointed.

A cute little cafe that we stumbled upon through Yelp! Service was great and if you check in, free coffee! We got the Turkey sausage p jack croissant and the chicken pesto panini! So yummy! I also got a chai latte which was perfect for the chilly morning.

Decided to check this place out while waiting for my ride and was impressed by the Yelp photos and menu. Since I was headed to lunch after, I just stuck with a nonfat caramel latte and I was surprised at how good it was. The staff is really friendly and service is quick. It's a small location and so you do end up smelling like pastries and coffee, but it's a cute spot with decent quick and hearty options. I loved the latte and recommend it for anyone looking to get a good coffee on the run!

Twice a week I take my child to dance class at the Malonga Casquelord and while he's dancing I walk around the neighborhood to explore the locally owned spots. My first time coming here I thought, "Why haven't I come here before??" The breakfast sandwich on a croissant was just the ticket: exactly what I need from my BEC! Very friendly service: like others, I was also impressed by Jasmine, and we chatted about the flamingo mural inside and also her lovely bird pin. The dining area has a charming "leave your mark on the wall" aesthetic, and I wrote a funny limerick in Sharpie: if you find it, let me know. Definitely a great place to get a coffee or tea, an egg sandwich, and relax and read. Thanks for being a great part of downtown Oakland!

Perfectly executed lox bagel. Good service. Fresh ingredients. I just wished it wasn't out in that area of downtown Oakland. Parking wasn't easy. I saw how chill people were eating their sandwiches and sipping their coffees, but I couldn't help but feel like I wanted to get back to my car and eat my food somewhere safe.

The food and coffee were excellent. The staff is so friendly and very nice! The place is cool you can write a message on the wall. Highly recommend for breakfast.
