Cafe Vida

I visited this spot with a group of friends and loved the fresh, flavorful menu. The pumpkin and grains soup was hearty and delicious, and the jalapeño turkey burger had the perfect balance of heat and savory flavors. The chicken jalapeño melt, served with a crisp salad, was another hit, and the crunchy French fries were the perfect side. The balance bowl was also a great choice. The service was great, and the cheerfulness of the server truly made my day!

A few days ago, I went to Cafe Vida with my daughter and we had a really good experience. The service was amazing ; we ordered the breakfast sandwich with a choice of bread , avocado and a yummy egg inside of the sandwich , and the grill fish soft tacos with delicious pico de gallo , jalapeño, rice and beans. I loved my Dirty Golden Tumeric Latte, I cannot wait to come back and order another one.

Very nice people! The customer service was excellent. I really enjoyed the charisma of our server who spoke Spanish. He was very helpful in explaining the specials and the menu. I tried two items on the specials menu, the carrot ginger drink and the seafood bowl. The drink was so refreshing and tasty. The seafood bowl has sea bass, salmon, and shrimp. My only criticism is if the protein wasn’t all diced in tiny bitty pieces. I felt like it got drowned in the quinoa salad and veggies. It would have been nice to see it whole on top of the salad with the dressing and garnish on top. But otherwise, it was very delicious. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. I enjoyed the paintings on the walls and the wonderful Spanish music.

Always packed! One of the most popular spots in the palisades. Come early, especially on the weekends if you want to sit outside at lunchtime. The breakfast quesadilla is the perfect symbiosis of a quesadilla and breakfast burrito, served with potatoes or a side salad. Highly recommend! The cheeseburger with sweet potatoes fries is a really solid burger. The chicken Marsala was good as well, more of a comfort food. One thing to note is the staff, which is very nice and accommodating.

Parking was a little funky because there are so many businesses around. We happened to go Monday morning and it wasn’t too busy. We were seated within 10 minutes. Prices seem to be higher here than in Culver City which I thought was fun lol Food is spectacular and delicious here though so I understand all the price marks. The food was hot, fresh and tasteful. The juices were well blended and explosion of fresh. Had the breakfast sandwich and omelet.

Really enjoyed brunch here with some friends on a Friday morning. It was quite busy both inside and outside but they were able to seat us pretty quickly. Smoothie was honestly the star of the show for me. The Date Smoothie was smoother and lighter than I thought it would be but still very filling. The only thing that really knocks it down to four stars was that I felt they were a bit understaffed because the employees were going into overdrive trying to take care of everyone. Additionally the side potatoes were a bit underwhelming given how good everything else was.

Service was amazing here, many servers are moving around making sure you are okay. I tried the watermelon lemonade and it was so refreshing and good. The steak quesadilla was quality, lots of texture and flavor. I had tried their Culver City location and it was great. This location is just as good!!

One of the best brunches I’ve had in a long time. Amazing menu with a ton of variety. Highly recommend the balance bowl (and I recommend adding cheese to it!). The pancakes were also great, and my friend said the breakfast sandwich was one of the best she’s ever had! The service was so nice too.

The wait was short, especially for a small party with many outdoor tables, but we came back another time with a party of seven and we were still seated relatively quickly. I really liked that servers had the handheld Toast machines so they could enter your order in at the table and minimize risk of forgotten or missed items. This also meant that the orders were placed immediately and the wait time for food was really fast! I got the breakfast quesadilla, which looks like a burrito but actually is a quesadilla wrapped up with all the other listed ingredients inside, especially pico de gallo and avocado. The fruit was pineapple and strawberries and grapes and other good fruit, not just honeydew and cantaloupe. Fresh squeezed orange juice was totally worth it too. Their lattes are MASSIVE. Paying and tipping with the server standing right there is somewhat awkward but the service was so fast and good that I was going to tip well anyway. One downside is that street parking can be hard to find and the cops ticket pretty quickly around here.

Taco salad arrived and looked and tasted nothing like a taco salad. Sent it back. Chicken chipotle sandwich was dry and Weird mix of flavors that don't go well together. Stick to the basics, eggs, bacon, toast. You can't screw that up. Pass on this place. Won't be back.

Came here with my boyfriend and our friend. The workers here are some of the nicest people!! I ordered the southwest salad, my boyfriend ordered the fish tacos and my friend ordered the quesadilla. Maybe I'm biased but I think my salad was the best. Also their seasonal cantaloupe lemonade was insane

We sat outside. It was a bit chilly , but they had plenty of lamp heaters. The cappuccino was made perfectly and had the right amount of foam. The drink special of the day was blueberry mint lemonade. It was delish! I order the 2-2-2: 2eggs over easy, 2 fluffy buttermilk pancakes and 2 slices of bacon. The service was stellar. I highly recommend this place for a great breakfast meal.

The food was delicious. There are many menu choices and options for just about everybody's taste .I had the special which was a raised salmon w/ vegetables served over polenta and it was prepared beautifully with a generous portion of salmon as well. Service was very friendly and the atmosphere is beautiful, especially at night where the patio is lit up,

Food: 3/5 The 2+2+2 I ordered was amazing!! Loved the soft pancakes, the flavor of the turkey bacon, and the eggs! However, my friend ordered the fish tacos and she thought the fish was too dry and hard. Some dishes are hit or miss and I would not recommend the chai matcha drink as it lacked flavor. Service: 5/5 Really nice workers! Took out orders quickly and brought out food fast too. Ambiance: 4/5 They have outdoor and indoor. It can be tight though.

So sad this place burned in the fire. I still remember how amazing the veggie sammy tasted. It was made with fresh vegetables, cheese and a basil mayo. I actually recreated it many times over bc it was so delicious. A true gem in the Palisades that is no longer standing.

Came here after a hike at Los Leones Canyon. Good was amazing and so was the service! Everything was fresh, including the orange juice which we loved. The waitstaff checked on us often and made sure all our needs were met. There was also a farmers market going on at the same time which created a lively and fun atmosphere on the Sunday afternoon. Highly recommend checking this restaurant out!

The outside space is cozy and charming with comfortable seating and lush greenery. The space has beautifully arranged tables, soft lighting, and decorations. During our meal, the waiter provided satisfactory service. Orders were taken quickly and food was delivered promptly. Despite their politeness and courteousness, there wasn't much warmth or personal connection. They checked on us periodically and made sure our needs were met, but didn't go above and beyond to make our dining experience great. In general, the waiter did their job competently but didn't leave a lasting impression. Blackberry Lemonade: Adding fresh blackberries to their lemonade makes it a perfect blend of tart and sweet. You'll love the vibrant color of this thirst-quenching drink made with freshly squeezed lemon juice and blackberry puree. Adding fresh blackberries not only gives the drink a burst of sweet and juicy flavor, but it's visually appealing as well. Blackberries and lemon juice combine perfectly for a refreshing and satisfying taste that is both tart and sweet. Fruit Cup: Strawberry, pineapple, grapes, and cantaloupe made a delicious and refreshing fruit cup! Strawberry flavor adds a tropical flair, pineapple adds tang, grapes add sweetness, and cantaloupe adds a subtle and refreshing taste. Breakfast Potatoes: The flavor of breakfast potatoes is savory, comforting, and hearty. They're crispy on the outside, providing a satisfying crunch, but tender and fluffy on the inside. Larger potatoes have a meatier bite as well, so they make a better breakfast potatoes. Breakfast Plate: With a salty and slightly sweet taste, the bacon was rich, smoky, and savory. In addition, it's crunchy and brittle, offering a satisfying contrast to the meat and fat. Besides being creamy and rich, the runny eggs have a buttery and slightly savory taste with added crispy edges. The eggs were lightly sweet and custard-like yolk flavor that enhanced the taste. Now the main event is the buttermilk pancakes: A delicious and satisfying taste is created when the tanginess of the buttermilk is balanced with the sweetness of the pancake batter. Despite the soft and tender interior, the pancake's outer edges are slightly crispy. Despite the light and airy texture, they still have a slight heft to them, making them both hearty and filling. The combination of crisp exteriors and soft interiors results in a satisfying mouthfeel. I really can not wait togo back!!

I came by the restaurant with my mom while I was in LA for my cousin's engagement party. I ordered the chicken burrito with a side salad and a Diet Coke. The food was perfect and there was outdoor seating by some very cute dogs. The food came by quickly and our server was friendly. I also took note of their homemade sauce on the side. They did forget to add my green sauce, but they didn't charge me for it, which is ok and it didn't hurt the flavor of the meal or take away from the dining experience. My mom ordered pancakes and they also looked delicious. I was very happy with the service, and I believe I've been here once before but I also believe that I haven't been here enough. Any local in LA would tell you that Cafe Vida is the place to go if you want good food and the best brunch. You'll come in hungry, but you'll leave satisfied and fulfilled.

Cute small & casual cafe if you want a quick bite to eat. They offer brunch and dinner menu options including salads and bowls. I opted for the tuna-avo sandwich in sourdough bread with sweet potato fries, which was really delicious. You have a choice of salad, sweet potato or regular fries. They provided a generous amount of avocados and tuna inside the sandwich. The servers were very friendly and sweet!

Cafe Vida was really good. Unfortunately it was in Pacific Palisades. Hope is comes back at some point.

It's for sure a perfect brunch place! Been here a few times and they never disappointed me! Staff is super friendly! All food is fresh and can't go wrong with anything they serve. Their prices are very reasonable here too. Very cute place. I strongly recommend trying this place out if you're looking for something new.

In case you didn't know, Cafe Vida is the best breakfast restaurant in the Pacific Palisades. I love their food! They have a fabulous selection of tasty, healthy and comfort. I've ordered their salads their breakfast their burgers. It's definitely hard to go wrong. A few of my favorites are their: - corn cakes - pancakes with a healthier mix of cornmeal and topped with perfectly ripe strawberries or other fruit - omelettes - I never feel like they are made with fake eggs (ick)! And their veggie omelette always has quality produce - balance bowl - a great bowl that gets you your proteins, vegetables and high fiber carbohydrates. Plus it tastes good! My husband enjoys their huevos rancheros and they make a good turkey burger too. Their BBQ chicken salad is mouthwateringly tasty! Generally, we will grab a seat outside, inside is a little snug. There is typically a line on the weekends because it's a popular spot. But carry out is also a great option here and I've done it myself many times without any issue. Metered parking out front. Definitely swinging by. It's a great crew that produces a really wonderful meal!

Good food, good service. Bussers pay attention to new customers walking in--harder to get into on weekends but midweek is easier. I suggest the breakfast sandwich, and their burger! Husband said their jalapeño Turkey burger is good too.

Fast service with delicious food! We sat outside so you have to put up with the fast cars driving by but once you get over that a wonderful experience. We tried the pancakes, huevos rancheros and couldn't passed up a side of bacon! The fresh juice was amazing! We tried a celery cucumber lemon-aid and watermelon lemon-aid. both very refreshing! Breakfast is always packed so be prepared if you come later in the day to wait a bit, we got there 9ish and really only had to wait 20 mins for first available table!

I've been to Cafe Vida for both breakfast and lunch. Overall, I think the place is over-priced for the food that it is putting out. However, that's too be expected in the Palisades! There's often a line, but it goes by quickly. I didn't enjoy the breakfast as much as the lunch. For breakfast, my husband and I split the date smoothie (a little watery) and breakfast burrito (too many black beans). For lunch, I got their quinoa veggie bowl with chicken. It was quite flavorful and hearty.

Love coming here for brunch in the palisades! They have a great selection of healthy brunch food. Love their balance bowl and the egg white scramble. I spotted Tom Hanks here once! The location is ideal since it's next to the palisades village which is a cute area to explore and walk around. There's a farmers market nearby on Sunday's too, so lots to do around there. The service has always been good but it's usually at least a 15-20 min wait for a table if you go during the weekend.

This reminded me of CDMX and was the perfect place to bring my mom for some wonderful huevos rancheros and pancakes. Everything was delicious and the ambience PLEASEEEEE perfection. In a lovely area very nice Will be back soon

This is the best Mexican food around! Not only is the service outstanding, the food is awesome. Try the chicken chipotle quesadilla. It's the best.

Outstanding food, vibe and service. Can't go wrong with the balance bowl and the brown rice pancakes. Both are divine. The balance bowl is especially delicious with the turkey burger. The entire dish is made of fresh, quality, moist, nutritious ingredients and melts together in the most heavenly way. Sort of like a Mexican and breakfast-forward version your grandma's to-die-for lasagna. Except no dairy and no guilt from this healthy entree. The brown rice pancakes are also a winner. The fresh brown rice ingredients bring the crisp and savor. The soft, doughy inside and the berries and syrup bring the sweet and dulce. Wonderful pairing. Another bonus: They serve breakfast until 3! It was 2:30 and we just finished a long, demanding surf session. Nothing sounded better than pancakes in that moment, and we're so glad that Cafe Vida could deliver! Our server was also so warm and friendly. We love this place!

This place has been a favorite for a long time but my last two orders have been just meh for the price. The size of the chicken chunks in the burrito were so big and the beans were overload - the ratio on everything felt super off. The mango salad was heavily dressed and it all felt mushy and tasted just okay. I don't know, it's always been a go to for me, but after two just mediocre experiences, may take a break.

Had a late lunch here today. The place is busy on weekends, although we were seated in less then the promised 15 minutes. There's not a lot of indoor seating. Thankfully, it was a lovely day. We sat on the well shaded outdoor patio. The servers are super friendly and attentive despite being busy. The prices are slightly on the high side, but given the quality of the food, well worth it. The menu is pretty expansive with several innovative items. I had the breakfast quesadilla, which you can see from the photo was served more like a burrito than a traditional flat quesadilla. No complaints from me. It was delicious. I would happily return for another meal.

We are at cafe vida after a nice hike, and it was the perfect place for us! The portions were big, and we had our dog with us so we were able to enjoy our meals outside on the patio. The wait staff were nice and checked in with us frequently. We had the Blueberry Corn Cakes, Oaxacan Huevos Rancheros, and a breakfast burrito. Everything was delicious! The only downside is that prices here were a bit on the expensive side, however, the amount of food you get is worth the price.

I used to come here 2-5 times a week, sometimes twice a day for over 2 years! Back then this place was amazing and I never had one mistake or complaint. So I'm back in town and decide to come back. I ordered one of the specials which was a burger and it was doused in sauce and the tomatoes were thin and the burger was cold, but the fries were hot. Literally as I write this, my stomach hurts. This is the healthier option which is why I love coming here, but this burger was nasty. It was literally soaked in like some sauce and the buns were semi soggy. It just wasn't good... it's really sad and I'm very disappointed. It was just a waste of time and money and I could've gone somewhere else. The Cafe Vida in Culver City has been great to me though. It's just unfortunate that the service and the food has gone downhill. The manager was great but the girl outside seemed overwhelmed and didn't want to help me. It was just overall very weird experience. Also, the chipotle paste is different from back in the day, it taste like vinegar now. Anyway, I don't want to sound like a spoiled brat, but two stars for the Manager being absolutely fantastic and that's about it.

Great service. Excellent wagyu cheeseburger. The Cesar salad with nuts was delicious. The sweet potato fries were the best I've ever had. Mexican coke is the best.

Walked in on a rainy day for lunch. Yuccan Salmon bowl was delicious! I had the turmeric ginger tea - they bring you a whole pot. Enjoyed it and took some to go home. Service was perfect. I'll come back!

I have been to the Culver location and it consistently exceeds my expectations so I'm not surprised that the Palisades location was just as good! Parking is a bit tricky as it is right across from the Palisades village but there is metered street parking. It was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon but we were able to get a table for 3 inside immediately. The service was excellent and the food came out pretty quickly. I got the tuna melt which is one of the best I've tasted, my friends also loved their dishes. They have fresh juices - I got the green juice and it was exactly what I wanted. Café vida is a great place for a healthy but delicious bite. Will be back!

Had a great visit to Cafe Vida today, I got the breakfast quesadilla and potatoes. The quesadilla was excellent and left me wanting more (a slightly smaller portion than I would have liked but fine for most people!), while the potatoes were just okay. The coffee was absolutely delicious, perfectly brewed and the staff was very attentive to refills. Also very much enjoyed eating outside and didn't wait much more than 15 mins on a Saturday around lunchtime, which I consider a win! Pumped to go back and try their burgers.

I ordered the BBQ veggie burger and sweet potato fries for take out. Very very delicious. All the food on the menu sounded real appetizing so it was hard to choose, but I'm pleased and look forward to coming by and trying something else

Such a great experience having brunch here on a Sunday! There was a little wait and the patio is pretty packed, but it didn't deter us. We waited about 20 mins to be seated. The tables on the patio are pretty scrunched together so it was a little claustrophobic BUT the service and the food were fantastic. I love that the menu has breakfast classics and a long list of healthy food options. My husband ordered the breakfast wrap (comes with potatoes) and I ordered the balance bowl with brown rice and turkey burger. I absolutely loved my bowl! It was everything I wanted in a healthy breakfast. Packed with veggies and protein! Such a wholesome meal. Our food came out lightning fast and the servers were very very attentive. I look forward to coming back again soon!

No wonder this place is so packed! When we walked by, there was a line of people waiting to be seated. I thought we'd have to wait like 15-20 minutes, but we were seated within 5 minutes--which was great! As for the food - not only was it served super quick (seriously, like 5-7 minutes), but it was also SOOOO delicious! As someone who used to work in restaurants, I can tell that this place's management is doing an amazing job! We left happy and full, and we're definitely looking forward to visiting Cafe Vida again soon!

We had a great dinner here and want to come back for brunch! The chicken marsala was delicious and generous portion with vegetable and mash potatoes. The Wagyu beef hamburger was just terrific. The manager Albino was so caring and helpful we really enjoyed our meal

Wonderful restaurant full of beautiful people and a fabulous ambiance. My family decided on brunch here after a lovely hike on the Los Leones trail. It was very busy on a Saturday morning at 11ish, nonetheless we were seated relatively fast and our table was attended to promptly. I ordered the Balance Bowl with quinoa and tofu and it was delicious and felt very healthy. The portions were generous, probably enough for two people if you're not starving coming off a long hike. Needless to say, I devoured the entire bowl and left stuffed. The rest of my family loved their meals, as well. Our iced teas were never left below half full as our waitress was very much on her game, despite the busyness. I highly recommend this cute cafe and will absolutely return!!

My family and I had brunch here today and Vida did not disappoint. Everyone's food was great and delicious. I ordered the Tuna melt with the Organic Greens and it was very good. This was a busy place on the weekend and judging by the number of people , this is a popular restaurant with the locals. Our server was very attentive and Vida had a nice charm with indoor and patio seating. There are lots of food options, which was great, because my wife and daughter are vegan and gluten free. Parking is on the street, parking structure next door or where ever you can find it.

Wish this place was a chain. Never heard anyone say anything bad about Cafe Vida, extremely healthy options. The food is always so good. May take some time to get seated some days/times.

Cafe Vida and the Pacific Palisades is one of the best places to have breakfast lunch or dinner. Their food is always fantastic. The services always welcoming and friendly and location is excellent. One of my favorite dishes for breakfast is their huevos ranchero with eggs scrambled! Another great breakfast dish is the pancakes.

This is my favorite restaurant in LA. Delicious food, fair prices, nice atmosphere. On Sundays there's a farmers market on the street in front of the restaurant which is so convenient and a fun addition to Sunday brunch.

This is a solid restaurant, and definitely one of the best casual places in the palisades. The food had a very unique flavor profile, Mexican forward flavors and were very good. The servers were also nice and informative. The coffee was honestly pretty mid, but other than that everything else was great. The vibes in the patio were relaxing even with it being extremely busy.

Cafe Vida is super reliable. The service is always great. My omelette lacked seasoning but a little hot sauce fixed that. Everyone at our table was happy with their breakfast. They also sat us before they technically opened, which was above and beyond nice.

The food here is great my family enjoys breakfast at this location only. Good customer service. Parking is hard to find. Egg white omelette de yucatan is my favorite. The green sauce is amazing.

We really,e Cafe Vida for a casual lunch. The outside patio is very welcoming and we enjoyed lunch last week. We love all of the fresh squeezed juices,especially the green apple. The bbq chicken salad is hearty and filling. It is a great combo of chicken, tomatoes,corn, black beans, mozzarella, avocado, and tortilla strips with a buttermilk dressing. My favorite salad is theTex-Mex with chicken, avocado, corn, ranchero cheese,tomatoes, and tortilla stripswithayummy balsamic vinaigrette! Service is very good too!

Great local spot, I get the burrito style bowl every time i come here. It's healthy and delicious at the same time. Inside and outside seating aswell.

They can't figure out how to delivery/pickup/ Uber Eats correctly. They only show the breakfast menu until 2 pm on weekends even though they serve lunch in person at the time. They always make mistakes there. The ambiance and restaurant itself is nice. But they just make too many mistakes in service. Food is good.
