Cafe Yumm! - Lakemoor

I have been a long time customer of Cafe Yumm. However with time the portions became smaller and smaller. This evening I ordered a side of southwest chicken. For reference I will attached multiple photos. Their menu shows the side of chicken as being the small white container. What I received was the small clear plastic container that was half filled with chicken, smaller than half of a bulb of garlic for three dollars. Also six dollars for a cup of burnt tofu. I just cannot with this place. I have had enough. I think I can make my own bowl of rice and beans from here on out. Best of luck in this competitive market!

Love this restaurant and have dined here several times. Delicious fresh bowls that can be made vegan or not — as you like. This cafe’s own sauce tops very healthy food. Quick service and restaurant is immaculate. Nice view and can eat on patio when weather is nice.

I still feel like Cafe Yumm! is secretly one of the best quick serve restaurants in existence. Any time I'm looking for a (much) healthier option, and often when I'm feeling under the weather, it's my go-to. My favorite is the hot and jazzy bowl with some tofu.

Cafe Yumm is the bestttt!! Many different options for switching up your order but still getting the delicious flavors. I never get tired of it! I could eat this multiple times per week, and sometimes do 😄 great options for vegan/vegetarian as well. Their sauce is the best!!!

Seems like one of the very few healthy options in the treasure valley! Good food. Good atmosphere and good service!

We love this place! We go here almost every week to get lunch/dinner. They have a great variety of bowls and salads to choose from with the option to make them vegan, and lots of customization with their toppings. The food is always served warm and beautifully arranged! An excellent choice for a healthy meal.

The food is delicious here and it’s FRESH. They open at 10:00 AM which is a big PLUS. The staff is friendly and very helpful with explanation in their variety of all they offer. Salads, rise bowls and proteins so they have something for all ages, taste buds, and what foods react with health issues.

Good food and healthy ingredients. Staff was friendly and walked me through the menu. When I received my food I was shocked by the small portion for the price. Good food, poor amount per dollar spent.

I love stopping here for a healthier lunch. Service is always great as is the food. And of course a much nicer atmosphere than a fast food joint! I always order the Hot n Jazzy Yum Bowl. I substitute black beans for the red beans, omit black olives and add edamame. Order is always ready fast. Highly recommend!

I finally got a chance to try Cafe Yumm and I am already looking forward to my next bowl. The spicy teriyaki bowl is AMAZING!! The food is fresh and flavorful! Would definitely recommend!

Mehh...Visiting family in the area and decided on Cafe yum for lunch. We've had some great food since arriving in Boise. This was not one of them. Healthy options but nothing i couldn't make at home. My husband ordered a quesadilla and it was literally a tortilla flipped in half with a small amount of filling, barely warmed and two plastic ramekins half filled. So as we sit eating our uneventful meals, with my salad that I added "grilled"(boiled) chicken to, my husband goes to ask for some more salsa and is told that would be an extra charge. We were already unimpressed and that sealed the deal. With all the wonderful options in town, I'd go elsewhere. Not so yummy.

Husband went inside establishment and purchased two bowls and a tofu skewer. My skewer had a very rubbery texture and was hollow inside. Absolutely gross! I called and spoke to a female worker about it. She told me, ' yeah, the tofu is bad, if you want to come back tomorrow, we'll be getting more.' She said she'd put a note on her managers desk about it. She told me to come in and they'd give me a new one. I go in this evening and the guy 'manager' was a total defensive creep about it. Was all smart assy and rude. Despite me showing the dude my receipt, a photo of the nasty rubbery skewer, he still really wanted the name of the girl who I spoke to about it. Then he acts like he's being generous by 'comping me a free one', behavior his was so extra and gross.

Quiet ambiance, delicious bowls that can be ordered vegan. Beautiful view from patio. Will be back!

Cafe yumm is so great. One of the few places we eat out because it's healthy and quality food!!!

The inside is a nice carpeted environment. They have a drive thru and a kids menu. I wish they had fountain drinks. Food was ready for pick up upon arrival. The menu theme is confusing but to each their own. I can't say I'd return but you should try it once.

In town to scout for a possible relocation, we came here for a light dinner. Located just north of the 26 off the 55, in a strip mall with views of the pond between it and the 55, it is casual and reasonably priced. You order at the counter and go grab a table and they bring your food to you. I had the Southwest Bowl with chicken and my wife had a chicken skewer and side salad. The food was flavorful and plentiful. My only complaint was they ran out of skewer sticks and my bowl was small enough that when I dug into the dish I had some overflow on to the table. The cashier was very nice and friendly. We would come again.

(This is an updated review, from my previous review a couple of years ago. ) I leave a wholehearted positive recommendation today. If you haven't been to Cafe Yumm! yet please give it a try. The food is organic, healthy, and good for you. Start with a Jazzy Bowl maybe. Jasmine rice, sauce, grated cheese, avocado, tomatoes, cilantro, olives, and sour cream. The Yumm sauce will be new to your taste buds probably...at first it's like hmmm that's different. Then it's like, "I can't get enough." Everyone needs good, nourishing and delicious food. (There is a chicken add on if you don't identify as a vegetarian.) Take good care of yourself and become a regular at Cafe Yumm!

As someone who enjoys fresh and healthy food I was surprised by this places selections. I found them because i was driving UberEats today and didn't notice they had a drive thru. I went inside and was amazed at their amazing dining options and seating. It made me want to go forward and order. As someone who is in a wheelchair I can also say they are handicap friendly as well. I had the BBQ tofu and it melted in my mouth it was so good!! When you get a chance to slow down on Eagle Road please stop by there and enjoy their vegetarian selections!! They definitely live up to the Yumm in their name!

This place used to be great. They must treat their employees like crap because they all left now it is a poop show. They have weird hours and poor customer service. Lately there is a bearded portion control guy that won't even fill up the $11 bowl of rice and beans. Again we used to love this place now the staff is never consistent and does not care about repeat customers. Update 5/2023. The female manager A....a, that we have always been kind to, yelled at my wife today and said we are horrible people that stress her out. I have not eaten here since the above review but, have periodically stopped by to pick up bowls for my wife. Never again. This is a franchise that is a POOR representation for the brand. Unfortunately, the Oregon based company fails to follow up on complaints (despite below response) and let's these people continue their destruction of the name. If you want to pay $12 for a small bowl of rice, go ahead but, I would say your money is better spent at Chipotle.

If you haven't tried one of their bowls, you're missing out. My first time there was a couple weekends ago and the service was excellent. Very clean establishment. I especially liked the options for the Yumm! Bowls. I recommend the Edamame bowl with organic brown rice, edamame, fresh avocado, and the nori on top was a surprisingly delish touch.

Yay! I've been wanting to try this place for years. Finally, was in the right place at the right time! I got the original bowl and it was fabulous... Kind of wish I had gotten a bigger one since it was so good. Can't wait to come back and try everything else on the menu! Service was great - very helpful and friendly. Please open a Cafe Yumm! I've been here in person for lunch & snacks as well as for treats via DoorDash. I value how there r so many options & especially allergen sensitive options. I highly recommend their wheat free ginger as well as wheat free oatmeal raisin cookies. As I'm gluten intolerant, its such a delight to get soft cookies that I can eat. Go get your Yumm on at this cafe And note that there are excellent indoor & outdoor seating options at this location.

Walked in before 6:00 pm. Looking for a reservation for 8 of us. Was told they couldn't get us in for 3 hours, around 9:00 pm. It wasn't until about 9:10ish they let us know our table was ready. Definitely do not go there with a larger group. They do not seem to be interested in accommodating you.

Love the food and personable service I receive every time I come in. I eat plant based meals and there are so many to choose from. My favorite is called Jazzy loaded with rice, red beans, avocados, olives and tomatoes. You can add various types of proteins too. Ask for Kerwon and he will take great care of you. My favorite place to sit is next to a window overlooking a beautiful that local ducks visit regularly. Their wifi is strong and FREE.

I'm glad to see this Eugene, Oregon-based chain come to the Treasure Valley. They had a great reputation in Western Oregon and quickly spread to the Portland area and along Oregon's Interstate 5 corridor into Washington. I had a Yumm! Baby bowl with added southwestern chicken. It tasted good and the flavors melded well together. For a small bowl, though, I thought $9 was a little spendy. I like how they offer metal forks, spoons and knives. If you want wasteful plastic, they make you ask for it. It's also unheard of for a restaurant to ask you to place all of your waste into a plastic bin and let them remove what can be recycled. It makes for more work for their employees, but ensures that anything that can be kept out of the trash -- and the county landfill -- is. Service was friendly and my bowl was brought out promptly.

Inez was very interested in preparing our bowls properly. We are old fans of cafe Yumm from our Oregon days. Really enjoyed our Jazzy bowls.

I have been obsessed with Cafe Yumm for 12 years now, and I always thought they were only found in Oregon. So it was the surprise of my life to see they have a location in Eagle! This is currently the only location in Idaho, but I'm definitely not complaining. The Edamame Yumm Bowl is my go-to, but the Yumm Baby and the Smoky are also great options. The Yumm Baby is like the original but without beans, and the Smoky includes their chipotle chili, which is fantastic. The ingredients are always fresh, and I just can't get enough of the Yumm sauce. I love that they have a drive thru; it is super convenient for when it's cold or if you're just feeling a little extra lazy but still want to be healthy. The staff is amazing. Everyone is super friendly and always so helpful. I would come here every day if I could!

One of my co-workers recommended Café Yumm to me and I tried it for the first time via online order. I went with the 'Jazzy' and my co-worker ordered the 'Hot N' Jazzy.' What was special about this rice bowl was the flavor of their 'Yumm sauce,' which I would describe as a 'vinegary' or 'yeast' flavor, sort of like kombucha or sour dough bread. Initially I didn't expect this and was mildly put off, but after a few more bites I started liking it more and more! You can customize your bowl how you want starting with pre-selected ingredients and choosing add-ons! For mine, I chose not to add a protein and kept the same ingredients from the menu, only removing the tomatoes. The employees were super friendly and had the order ready within 10-15 minutes of my arrival! I will definitely be coming back again to try different bowls and new flavors combinations! Cafe yummm is leading the way as a healthy fast food option. I lived in Eugene and I am happy to see this location in Boise. I don't live close but every time I am near I drive thru for a bowl. I always enjoy yumm bowls and hope they expand to more locations!

This place will be one of my favorite red to go to. I could taste the freshness of my meal in every bite. Love. Love, love the rice bowl. The sauce that come with it was over the top . Love the tartness of it, very refreshing. Ordered a vegan ginger cookie for my dessert. It was very moist and delicious. I never had a great vegan cookies as good as they have. I did not care for my lentil soup because it was a bit too salty for my taste. The soup came with a warm dinner roll. I really dig the roll! Overall, my tummy was very thankful for the meal.

Very yummy!! We tried this place for the first time and were impressed. The bowl was vary savory, light and flavorful. We will definitely be back.

They charge $1 for their signature yum sauce that tastes like dirt. I though after spending $12 on a wrap you could have thrown in the sauce.

I have been here a couple of times with friends and if you're looking for vegetarian, this is the place to come too. If you add meats, then I can't vouch for that. Be specific when you place an order and you might be more satisfied, i.e., no dressing, dressing on the side, etc.

In general when I eat out, I tend to go for sandwiches. So, this was definitely a change of pace for me. I tried the Yumm! Baby Bowl. The only customization that I made to the order was to skip the black olives. The Thai jasmine rice was cooked perfectly. The Yumm! sauce was extremely tasty. I wish that there had been more sauce on the rice. I didn't request additional, but that might have been possible. They do have soy sauce and other condiments available near the water station. I also tried a teriyaki tempeh skewer. Loved it! It had a nice texture and the teriyaki glaze was delicious. I try to eat light, so I appreciated the lower calorie option of the small bowl. It was priced a bit high IMO. As others have noted, the menu items are fairly expensive for the portion size. It's not fast food. However, the service is fast. They even have a drive through. If I worked in the area, I'd definitely consider dropping in here during my lunch hour.

I come here a lot and really do enjoy the food here. I'm a regular and despite being in college with not a lot of funds, I really look forward to any time I can swing by. This review might seem nitpicky, but I guess it just bummed me out. It's finals week in college and I wanted to treat myself, I always get this meal when I come through, but this time I'm 99% certain it's going to fall apart as soon as I try and eat it. The tortilla is usually folded and kept together with a toothpick, but this time it was all haphazardly thrown together, crumpled, and there are multiple tears in the tortilla. This wrap has salsa in it which means it can be quite leaky, so it's going to be a fun ride this time. The person at the window was also not as friendly and seemed very eager to send me on my way-- which, I get-- but also the whole thing just, again, kinda bummed me out. I'll be back, lots, but just a gentle reminder that this food item is basically a crumpled knife and fork meal instead of a wrap if it's presented this way. I still 100% recommend this place! But if this is a sign of things to come I'll probably change my regular order.

Unique fun menu! Healthy tasty options. The Yumm Bento with teriyaki chicken was tasty and the Yumm sauce added a nice unique kick. The Chilean Zucchini Bowl was a home run, its what you get when you combine a rice bowl with a Zucchini soup, we loved it! The Original Bowl was a decent bowl until we added the Yumm sauce it then became a really tasty treat. This was our first time eating at Cafe Yumm but apparently the Yumm Sauce has a cult following and I can see why, it's good!

Ordered hot and Jazzy bowl, size medium, with grilled chicken on top. Received a small cup of rice with about a quarter cup of red beans. Grilled chicken tastes processed. "Thai" style sauce was sour cream and cilantro. There were a couple diced canned olives, a small chunk of avocado, a table spoon of shredded cheddar cheese from a bag. Nothing fresh or organic. Not rich with whole veggies or salsas. I paid $15 for a cup of rice. I feel sad.

Cafe Yumm is amazing! Try the Original Bowl, sub for Jasmine rice and add teriyaki chicken! Never disappoints.

I cannot express enough how much this place means to my fiancé and I. We both have a few dietary restrictions that make it almost impossible to dine out but every time we come here we know the options are safe and vegetarian/vegan and celiac friendly. I've never once had any stomach issues here. Pretty much anything with yumm sauce is great - sometimes I buy a jar or bottle after the meal and use it throughout the week. Prices are fair for what you get, and the service is always great. I can tell the staff is treated well by their upbeat and energetic vibes. Keep up the great work.

This place is so wonderful! A true hidden gem! Delicious tasty food that is also healthy and so clean tasting! Hits the spot! So happy this place was recommended. I now have my elderly parents hooked on it as well. The staff are so friendly and professional! The place is clean and a great place to eat indoors or for take out! I sometimes call ahead for take out and then go through the drive through to pick it up-- so easy and convenient. I don't often take the time to leave reviews but they deserve more than 5 stars! They have even gone above and beyond to accommodate my food allergies! So anyone with food allergies, I would 100% trust this place in preparing your food! If I could leave 10 stars, I would! All the staff are great, but particularly Stephanie has been so wonderful when taking my take out orders! Thank you cafe Yum!

We actually tried this on a whim when we were in the area. The gal working the drive through was super helpful. I order the original yumm bowl, hot and jazzy with chicken. It was really good. A different flavor than I have ever experienced and I would recommend. It is expensive though. $35 for 2 mediums. One in a bowl and one wrapped original with chicken. Four stars because the price is high for what you actually get. The container is hard to eat from so I will I had a bigger bowl to transfer to to actually eat it.

People who say they don't like this place are just uncultured and have basic taste buds. I eat here almost every day, the drive thru is my lifesaver. Everything is so original, flavorful, and filling. People also complain about the price but, it's all organic ingredients and I personally find the portion sizes perfect. Great for vegetarians too. Cafe Yumm has my heart ALWAYS!

Just ok, wouldn't return and very expensive. Confusing cuisine category...kind of Mexican then random other ingredients. -- you website doesn't work (lol) kind of like your menu.

Very yummy, fresh and colorful. Great selections of eating gluten-free and dairy-free dishes. As a first time guest, I tried the hot n' jazzy bowl sub vegan toppings (avocado, carrots, red cabbage) with southwest chicken (medium size).A very filling meal! Sauces are 100% and stupid good. Protein serving sizing was average. May recommend double protein for next visit and to get the jalapeño sesame salsa on the side because the spice is not shy. And extra yum sauce! Shout out to Stephanie for 10/10 customer service--she explained the menu patiently, made recommendations and was just so hospitable! Atmosphere is very casual and clean. Dine in is seat yourself with a water and cutlery station. They do bring your food to you. Nice big open windows too!

I ordered the spicy jazzy or whatever it's called and wow was it delicious! Every single bite was so warm and yummy. They are famous for their sauces and even sell them at the restaurant. My mouth is watering thinking about it. They even let you sample the bowls it tiny cups before you decide which one you want I think they offer samples of everything on the menu. I'm going back ASAP!

Always look forward to coming back and eating at my daughters first job years ago when they first opened. Sad we went to use our eagle high athletic discount card only to have her and her brother talked poorly about. First realize people can hear you even when you think they can't, secondly don't sponsor a local high school like the mustangs if you don't want employees to honor it without talking negatively about customers. Mustang families take your business elsewhere!

Food was delicious!!! Staff helped us figure out what we would like the best and offered us samples, very very nice. Would definitely go back again.

Cafe Yumm is my FAVORITE casual dining restaurant!!! When I attended college in Oregon these were all over, so I didn't realize how much I missed the convenience until moving to Idaho. Thankfully the Eagle establishment is well worth the drive from Boise, and the drive thru makes it so easy to pickup! I typically purchase Yumm Sauce to-go, and TRY to recreate the bowls at home, although they never turn out as tasty:)

Love this place however inconsistent. Sometimes piping hot and loaded bowls. Sometimes the bare minimum. My order has been wrong several times and when I tell them the next time I'm there they don't offer any remedy...
