Highly recommend my favorite Chai Latte!! Love this place and the friendly staff! Priya (staff member) is so sweet, polite and makes sure the customers have everything they need. Staff is really patient and understanding and it has become our Saturday ritual to go there! Great outdoor seating too!

I stumbled upon this small sandwich shop, and it instantly loved it. The variety of sandwiches they offer is impressive, with options for everyone—from classic favorites to more creative combinations. What really sets them apart is the quality of the ingredients and the fresh ciabatta they bake themselves. You can taste the freshness in every bite, and the flavors are perfectly balanced. On top of that, their prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you get. It’s a great value for anyone who loves a good sandwich. But the best part? The backyard space! They have a lovely, cozy outdoor area that’s perfect for enjoying your meal in a relaxed, comfortable setting. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or want to hang out for a bit, this place hits the mark.

Google
I ordered a pepperoni pizza with hot honey and it was absolutely delicious! They make their pizzas fresh to order in a hot pizza oven, no soggy bottom pizzas here! The crust was thin and crisp, perfect for folding and eating with gusto. I highly recommend their pizzas! My wife and mother-in-law ordered sandwiches, which they make with house-made focaccia bread. They described their sandwiches as being "yummy" and "tasty". The restaurant is pretty small, but they've got plenty of outdoor seating out back, with shade. They've also got a collection of board games in the back which were fun to play with while we waited for our food. All in all, a fantastic cafe to grab a sandwich, pastry, or pizza. I highly recommend it!

Google
$4.50 for a small lemonade and they don’t even fill it to the top. I asked for a watermelon lemonade and got a regular lemonade. I mentioned to the guy I had an account with them so I can put in my number for the points and he said pay first? I did and nothing came up for me to put in my number.

Google
I always make sure to stop by when I'm in the south bay. Absolutely love their breakfast sandwich, particularly the egg and cheese because of the spicy aioli they use. And their vegan chorizo pizza is delicious!! Coffee is great too!

Google
We stopped here unexpectedly as we were in the area and wanted something to munch on. Their avocado toast was really tasty with in-house baked focaccia bread (it had a lovely delicate flavor) and we got a slice of their pizza lab of the week which was amazingly delicious! It was the vegetarian corn and bok choy one. Really creative and the server was really friendly and helpful

Google
we stopped by to get some takeout food. based on the reviews we expected much much better food. we ordered two sandwiches and a pizza. both sandwiches were 2/10. one half of the sandwiches was extremely salty. i think they messed something up. the pizza was 4/10. half of it again was too salty. i think it was the olives- they had added too much and it was too salty. the garlic bread as well. one piece was too salty. i dont why everything was so inconsistent. even the not salty portions were not good. the sandwich bread felt stale. the chicken was okay though. while waiting i ordered macchiato which tasted burnt. anyhow- not worth the $100 spent at all.

Google
I stopped here in a pinch while at work, and couldn't believe how good both the food and atmosphere were. The pizza is fresh and delicious, and the bar was a really charming spot to hang out for awhile. True neighborhood gem and definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
I had the southwest sandwich on foccacia and it was ABSURDLY good. The focaccia was literally heavenly. The southwest is entirely vegan by default, and the greek sandwich can also be made vegan if you remove the feta. I had delivery so I can't speak to the environment but the sandwiches are top notch. I also contacted them through the website to ask about vegan options and received a very quick and friendly response, the owner seems like a great guy. Highly highly recommend!!

Yelp
I stopped by for a quick bite and ordered the green bird which had chicken, bacon, cheese, tomato, etc. I loved the focaccia it was served on which had some rosemary. My sandwich also came with a side salad. I ordered it to-go and it was ready by the expected time. The staff were friendly and there is minimal seating indoor with more seating outdoors.

Yelp
We usually come by this coffee store after visiting the pediatrician. Their pastries are ok, sometimes leaning on the colder side. Now, we have never tried their sandwiches or pizza until recently, and wow, the pizza here is sublime! I tried the pizza lab slice, which was decently priced at 6$. It was super thin crust that held up well despite it being thin. The pomegranate seeds added a touch of freshness, and I think they put cilantro on it, which also gave it a special oomph. I really enjoyed the pizza. Hubby got a pepperoni slice, which he thought was not too bad either, though on the oilier side. We got a sandwich (green goddess) to share. The sandwich was heavy and dense and filling, but still good, although maybe could have benefited from a tad more sauce. The ingredients however tasted very high quality. Staff super friendly and tons of seating options.

Yelp
Zoe felt very much like a hole in the wall cafe. But it's now our favorite! The focaccia sandwich's are amazing regardless of which you get (the pesto is the best tho) . However we have learned to go earlier in the day because later in the day bread seems like it's more soggy or less fresh later on. The time when the food has been the best is when the cashier is nice and in a good mood lol. However when they aren't in a good mood we suggest to go for the pizza because safe option and we've never had a bad experience with it. Also Zoe has the best chia latte!

Yelp
cute spot, kind of in a random area.... the staff were super nice, patient, and helpful! the food wasn't very special from their sandwiches and pizza. wished the pizza crust was more crisp and firm at the bottom. I really wanted to try their focaccia for the chicken sandwich but they were out that day. I think pastries are from a wholesale or commercial business and were good but nothing spectacular. the latte I got was a bit underwhelming, not as strong coffee taste as I was hoping for. overall was a good experience.

Yelp
Cute neighborhood gem my friend recommended. We meet here regularly now. I love the lavender latte! And the caprese sandwich was deeelicious. A bit oily, but the pesto was different and really good.

Yelp
Such a cute little place! Outside seating was a mixture of sun and shade so you can enjoy the outside even if it's hot. I enjoyed the vibes greatly! Staff were friendly and welcoming, and also very patient while we were deciding what to get lol. I got the breakfast sandwich and a matcha with nonfat milk. Both were delicious! I loved the matcha so so much. I was unsure if I was gonna eat the avocado toast since i've never gotten it before but I definitely will be getting it next time!
google avatar

Yelp
A staple place in the neighborhood! The pizza is solid, whether when ordering a whole pie or by the slice. I particularly like the pepperoni pie! There's a good mix of indoor and outdoor seating. The matcha lattes I've had here have just tasted too milky, but their lemonade is fantastic. Their pear-sciutto sandwich was alright; wasn't a big fan of the focaccia! Besides their pizza, I really recommend their bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich - super yummy! The people working there are friendly and the place has always had such a wonderful chill vibe.
google avatar

Yelp
I wish I would've took a picture when I got this iced lavender cream matcha but it was so tasty that I couldn't resist drinking it before snapping a picture! The vibe is very chill here and very welcoming! The biggest plus is that it is dog friendly!!!! I am from the Central Valley and I'm so sad my pup did not get to enjoy this place with me! I will be returning with my pup next time! :) don't walk run to this awesome spot!!!!! :) the owner is very nice and very informative! Willing to explain what options we have and doesn't make me feel rushed at the counter as with corporate cafe spots! This place is truly a gem!
google avatar

Yelp
Small cafe which has nice staff, reasonable prices. Spent a morning working here with the wifi, was very productive :) The cold brew and sandwich I ordered were standard fare. I wasn't amazed but they satiated me and the prices were reasonable. Overall a solid cafe!

Yelp
Coffee, sandwiches, beer, wine, and pizza! This place does it all and does it well! I love stopping in for breakfast or lunch. The staff is very friendly and love the cute little patio in the back. 10/10 from me!

Shawn D.

Yelp
Great service and amazing quality of food and coffee. Really cool location worth visiting again. Love the ceramic cup and vibe

Yelp
Ended up in Menlo Park after biking up the Bay Trail and decided to stop by Cafe Zoe for a quick coffee and lunch. There's plenty of seating and bike racks located outside at the front, which was perfect for a sunny day, and there's also indoor seeting as well as in the back patio. I ordered the bacon breakfast burrito, which seemed to be premade and reheated, but wasn't bad, although the portion was a bit small for $7. The latte was a bit heavy on the milk froth but still enjoyable. Overall, was a decent snack and I'd love to come back to try some of the paninis.

Daniel B.

Yelp
I went the other day to Cafe Zoe, what a treat Matt the owner was such a nice host my coffee was excellent! If you are in Menlo Park need a place for a meeting or to relax and unwind go to Cafe Zoe you will be happy you did! Dan Brent

Yelp
Hospitality and ambiance. It's an excellent venue for music. Outdoor seating is a big plus. I love the arts on display.

Yelp
What a great "feel great" spot! I want to be a regular here! I don't live very close but that's not gonna stop me. Met a friend here for tea and enjoyed a fantastic Matcha (lavender flavor - it was nothing I'd ever had before and I was sure glad I ordered it). I even got it in a real cup/mug! We took up space here for a few hours and was never rushed to move along. On our way out, we each ordered a pizza to go because as we sat chatting for hours, we noticed people coming in and walking out with multiple pizzas. Well, the pie did NOT disappoint! When you find a gem and can call it a gem, it's because the service AND food are superb. This is a gem gem. The gentleman (owner?) taking our order was very friendly and accommodating (kept our 2 pizzas warm while we chatted an additional hour). Yet it wasn't only what he said, it was how he made us feel - we felt welcomed into a neighborhood go-to where everybody knows your name. Again, I will become a regular here because this Cafe Zoe isn't just about yummy eats and tasty matchas, the place and people make you feel like you belong.

Yelp
So moved was I by my experience here today that I felt compelled, finally, to write a review for this place. But context is important. I've been working in the area for 11 years now. I used to go to Cafe Zoe a lot more back when my work was in Menlo Park and a jaunt to this humble little strip mall was in the single-digit commute times. Now it's just far enough to be a little bit of a hassle but sometimes, like today, you get blessed with an opportunity to meander through the neighborhood. For me, that was getting my blood drawn which, as we all know, is an absolutely riveting experience. Anyway, it's the Thursday before a 3-day weekend, I've just had my blood drawn and the guy actually missed the first time so now I've got, like, two bandages on my arms and the one he missed on is achey so needless to say, things are not ideal and my mood is reflective of that. Also, I'd been craving chai for like, the entire week. I'm sort of hanging on by a string. I go to Cafe Zoe for a little treat, as one does when they've been subject to minor discomforts like getting stabbed twice. I came for the chai, but figured a sandwich wouldn't hurt either. I've suffered one more tiny stab wound than I planned for today so I need this. In the face of this, then, you can imagine how delighted I was that not only was the chai perfect, exactly as it has been for like the last 10 years, but the sandwich was great, the recent renovations make the space airy and nice and it's just so freakin nice to have a community cafe that's been quaint and cozy and well lit and delicious for the last 10, 15 or so years, especially in Silicon Valley where VCs and techbros are rampantly trying to spitball stupid changes constantly about everything which no one ever asks for. I took a risk on the Spicy Chicken sandwich and it was delicious. The Ham, Pear, and Brie sandwich is also killer- it was what they were famous for back in the day and probably still is. Did I mention the chai was great? I don't care if it's instant packaged stuff or whatever if Cafe Zoe is selling it I'm going to gaslight myself into think that it's extra special because to me it is. Anyway. Love you, Cafe Zoe, thank you for being there for me in my time of minor duress.

Greg W.

Yelp
It's pretty awesome that the owner responded with not one but three vegetarian sandwich options. While I didn't take him up in his generous offer to treat me to one of them, I dropped by today and sampled the Southwestern, with a side salad. Delicious! The focaccia is a great choice of bread and the salad was worth the upgrade. Had a very nice espresso afterwards too. Thanks for responding to the yelp review and keep up the great work.

Yelp
Came here since it was near work so me and my coworkers stopped by. The coffee was good and would try it again. I ordered a breakfast burrito and my coworker got the chicken panini. I kinda thought the burrito would be bigger when I was looking at pictures. My coworker said the panini tasted good but very bready and did not have much chicken or sauce. The breakfast burrito was smaller than l expected, I took like 4/5 bites and I was done. Initially the menu on their website said it was $5.25 but at the store it was $7 so for the size I don't think it's worth.

Yelp
I have been here only once so my review might not be as detailed as I would like. I had the ham and pear Panini which I believe comes with mozzarella cheese, it comes with cheese for sure but I can remember which one it was. And it was delighted with it. Although it might look like a boring combination I enjoyed it very much, it was fresh, crunchy and quite filling. The staff was friendly and the menu fairly priced. Great place to try.

Yelp
This is one of the hidden gems in this area. The food and drinks are great but I mostly come here for the atmosphere of a friendly neighborhood cafe.
google avatar

Malachi C.

Yelp
Was looking for a quick coffee and bite, and ended up here. While quick would be the last word I use to describe this place, the burrito took quite a while but I had time, it was still a great little spot. The coffee was solid, burrito was quite good, albeit pretty small for $7.00, but overall i'd recommend.

Yelp
The best coffee shop in MPK. Run by the best people. Kathleen, Zoë, and all the rest will craft you a delicious beverage. Their dirty chai would be award-winning, if they gave awards for dirty chais.

Tailor P.

Yelp
Best cafe I have gone to for three years. Unfortunate that the favorite grilled bagel is gone, but otherwise the same with pizzas in the afternoon. Still wish the old sepia toned paintings remained, and the place opened at seven AM, but otherwise a nice and humble cafe and pizza place.

Yelp
Cafe Zoe is such a cute place to sit down and have a coffee and cinnamon bun or sometimes tea and panini. I love this place so much and It's always fun. The service is so nice and Kathleen makes the best coffee.

Leaseth R.

Yelp
Limited parking but great service. I had a latte and one of their cakes. Both were delicious would definitely recommend. while I was there, I saw on their menu that they also sell pizza.

Yelp
My friend and I grabbed lunch at Cafe Zoe when we had an arts and craft event in the Menlo Park area. The employees were really nice and the overall vibe from the cafe was comfortable and welcoming. Definitely a great spot to stop by for a caffeine boost or to grab breakfast/lunch. This establishment also sells wine and beer. I ordered a panini that also came with a salad and a pot of tea! I thought the presentation of the tea was super adorable. The pot was of an elephant and the cute factor really elevated it for me. (I'm a sucker for cute, I can't help it!) BUT in addition to the cuteness, we y enjoyed our food and drinks & wouldn't mind dining here again.

Zoey P.

Yelp
I wanted to grab a quick bite to eat before I was headed off to work. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Janet. I ordered a breakfast bagel and a smoothie, Janet made one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have had in a long time. The prices are very reasonable compared to other places in the area. Will definitely return!

Ankit T.

Yelp
Pretty bad service. Folks on the cashier charge random amounts for things and when asked why, their general response is we will look into it. Especially after the change in management things have become really really bad. No more a neighborhood cafe, which is extremely sad.
google avatar

George P.

Yelp
If you are homeless like me, the people will not appreciate you being there and the workers will laugh at your misfortune. Don't go here
google avatar

victor v.

Yelp
On my way back to work from the VA .I stopped in at Cafe Zoe for my favorite sandwich Brie and Pear sandwich. Brought back memories when I used hang out here. The sandwiche was excellent as well as the service.

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
I'm exhausted from repeatedly asking the owner if she could have her amateur musicians turn down their amps. The outdoor music blares straight into my home, even with all the windows closed. Noise levels at my property line regularly exceed 75 decibels! Imagine being woken at 9 am to the sound of a rock band playing at this level, just across the street from your house. I can't even open my windows because it's so loud. I've used earplugs and noise canceling headphones but honestly, I don't think I should have to do this in my own home.

Veronica M.

Yelp
Good and drinks are delicious! Avocado toast is amazing!!!white mocha is just as delicious
google avatar

Riley J.

Yelp
Moist and delicious. The crumble at the top was perfect. I haven't had ordered else at Cafe Zoe, and I don't think I'll ever want to order anything other than this scrumptious coffee cake!

Greg W.

Yelp
What a beautiful cafe. I pushed the door open at 1230 and ordered a coffee. Odd, no one is here. Oh well. After they finished making my coffee I asked "when do you close?" They said "oh 1130 but we reopen for pizza at 130". I apologized profusely, they said "it's okay it's more of a soft close". I wanted to kiss them both I was jonesing for coffee so bad. I told them as much. This place is pure love. Let's be honest, there is no other coffee in the willows, doesn't that make them 5 star by default? Actually Willows market used to brew illi, I don't know if they still do. But it's not a cafe so that doesn't count. Love you guys. Keep doing EXACTLY what you're doing. It's working!
google avatar

Colette W.

Yelp
I tried this place for the first time a few days ago. I got a lemon poppyseed muffin and black bean and egg burrito. I'm not a big muffin/sweets fan but my daughter loves them. I tried a bite of her muffin and it was seriously so good. She devoured the whole thing too. It was super moist and not overly sweet. The burrito was really great too. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
A true "hidden gem" in Menlo Park! This cafe offers good strong coffee, breakfast all day, and products for sale from local artists. They have live music nights, trivia nights, happy hour nights, and free WIFI. The seating arrangements are good for working and chilling with an espresso. This has a true community vibe. And get this, there's a kid area in the back! It's small but has an outdoor play house and cozy seating arrangements for adults. I had the drip coffee in a heavy cozy mug with Greek yogurt. The coffee was smoky and strong, and the yogurt was just that. Plain yogurt... no weird sweetener or anything artificial. Cute, quirky, comforting... great coffee... what more can you ask from a coffee shop?!
google avatar

Wade L.

Yelp
Lovely setting. Great vibe. Excellent food and cappuccino. Looking forward to going back.

Heidi F.

Yelp
Meh. I ordered a burrito, but asked for it in a bowl because I avoid gluten when possible. They made it, but had to "check" to make sure they could. It's a rather simple modification request. The latte with oat milk was blah. The froth was great, but the coffee was just fair. Not my favorite.
google avatar

Edwin R.

Yelp
Menlo Park is a city that has cultivated small businesses, tucked away in a hidden gem, smack in a residential neighborhood somewhere! It's fantastic! CAFE Zoe is one of the many quaint businesses that offers a neighborhood comfort, casual, non pretentious, and only boosting with welcoming strangers from all walks of life. I was told they can provide private meetings as well as catering. Their outdoor area at back is fantastic. I was even encouraged to bring my dog the next time around. What a treat and plenty of street parking. Cheers! :p
google avatar

Yelp
This is a "Secret Cafe" that is tucked into a residential street in Palo Alto. The ham, pear, and brie panini is very good: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/gcDOmunr8oxNFxcj8yntUQ?select=K8cc8eJXbqlNa1roicrTGQ But the machiato is sub-par: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/gcDOmunr8oxNFxcj8yntUQ?select=Th8w8waDm0lPRL49YHcZog They have ice cream from Ricks, but they don't list the flavors anywhere.
google avatar

Ron M.

Yelp
Overall great Willows neighborhood coffee spot with some breakfast items and pastries. They don't serve regular breakfast items like egg dishes, but rather their breakfast items are smoothies, pre-made breakfast sandwiches/burritos. Their oatmeal power bowl with chia seeds, cinnamon, agave and banana was good and filling. Coffee/espresso drinks were well made, though the kale smoothie had a bit too much ice--made for a watered down smoothie. If you live within walking distance in the Willows neighborhood, then this is a great spot. (We don't live in this neighborhood, and thus because we have to drive here--even though it's only a mile or so away--won't make this a regular spot for us. But if you happen to be nearby and want a great coffee shop, then this place is the spot

Yelp
I sought out Cafe Zoe based on the reviews for their chai. The chai is pretty good but overall too sweet. I'd really like a little spice in there. It was very frothy which I mention in case you're pro- or anti-froth. The banana muffin was fine. There were only two baked goods to choose from. And 10 a.m. is too early for a chocolate chip cookie. Rankings Bay Area Chai rankings COUPA CAFE, LOS ALTOS 1 Oz Coffee, Mountain View Redberry, Los Altos Vero, San Jose David Rios Chai, San Francisco Cafe Zoe, Menlo Park Chromatic Coffee, Santa Clara ----- (not worth getting below this line) 8) Dana St Roasting Company, Mountain View 9) Peet's Coffee, Sunnyvale 10) Starbucks, Mountain View 11) Red Rock Coffee, Mountain View 12) Maison Alysee, Mountain View 13) Backyard Brew, Palo Alto

Yelp
Wonderful local cafe. I like to get oatmeal and hang out for a while. Open mic nights and musical performances are fun, and wine/beer are served. Great place to hang out with friends. Currently has outdoor seating in fenced-off area of parking lot. Good coffee and food, great people.
google avatar

Anna C.

Yelp
Such a wonderful spot espousing what one would consider the "Platonic ideal" of community. This isn't your ordinary cafe: in addition to ample workspaces, there are fun family-friendly community events and activities, such as trivia nights, caption contests, and even a playhouse in the back patio; communal spaces for local artists and merchants to showcase their wares; and on Saturday mornings Little Sky Bakery (a neighborhood home bakery) does a small popup selling loaves of breads to cafe patrons. Minus a star cuz the food wasn't the cafe's strong suit. I'll come back for the friendly neighborhood vibe, though.
google avatar

Colby D.

Yelp
I absolutely love cute cafes. This is another one! The decor makes the cafe very homey, with all of its children's drawings on the walls, and crafts hanging from the ceiling. The list of espresso drinks they offer is pretty basic, but I didn't order coffee so I couldn't remark on the quality. My boyfriend and I both ordered the ham, Brie and pear paninis, which came with small sides of greens and pear. The panini was delicious, although if someone doesn't like cheese, I wouldn't recommend they order this. In order of decreased potency, was the cheese, ham, then a thin slice of pear. It was more of a lunch item than a dessert option. The salad was also delicious, as it was fresh and tangy, with the honey mustard dressing and the fresh, crisp pears. We love this cafe and only wish we had found it sooner so that we may have visited it more often!

Sara M.

Yelp
It's a nice cafe for the locals I guess, but not worth the drive for more than 5 mins to eat at this cafe. I had the breakfast burrito which was ok, but I was already disappointed while eating it that they warmed up a premade burrito. The neighborhood is nice though to go for a walk after grabbing your coffee from cafe Zoe.
google avatar

Yelp
Very peaceful and inclusive coffee shop. I felt very welcome. We ordered a ham and brie panini and turkey and swiss panini. Both were delicious. The side salads were fresh and delicious too. I will be back next time I am in town.

Yelp
Really disappointed with my visit. I don't consider myself a high maintenance guest, but there were so many hiccups in my experience that warrants just two stars. When ordering, I asked cashier what the soup for the day was. He had to run back to the kitchen to ask. I wanted a soup / salad combo, and asked what salads were part of the combo. Cashier had to run back and ask. Was he new and just not trained? Along with my soup / salad combo, I ordered a pot of tea. The cup I got was filthy with grime. When I got my order, my salad came with feta and Bleu cheese (they ran out of one and used the other I guess?) And I wasn't provided dressing for my salad. The food was pretty good though. Tea selection isn't anything special. I'd come back bc I love the atmosphere and food was decent, but management maybe needs to have better trainings or staff that pay more attention to detail.
