Ordered the Cafe con Leche with Cashew milk over ice. Not mind blowing but does it's job. It's not sweetened since there's a self serve section near the register to the right. Not upset about the price ($6.53 after tax) considering we're in Manhattan. Will be back!

Very cute coffee shop! I got the avocado toast and the hot chocolate with their homemade cashew milk. The avocado toast was good, it came with plantain chips. What really stole the show was the hot chocolate - it was so rich and creamy especially because of the cashew milk. HIGHLY recommend their drinks. The women working there are also super sweet and they had the shop decked out for Halloween which was cute!

Decided to try this cafe located near the opening of the Grand St. subway station. Decor is cute and its cuban inspired menu intrigued me but sadly, it was pretty average if not bad. Ladies were super nice and I want to support them, but it’s really hard to communicate your order if you don’t speak any Spanish/LatAm languages and the person servicing me had a hard time understanding the English names listed on the menu. I had to point my way through it and gesture numbers using my hands. Beyond being hard to communicate, the food is haphazardly thrown together and microwaved with rubbery eggs in the BEC and a bunch of broken plantain chips that came from a bag as a side to the ham and swiss croissant sandwich. Sadly, a mess and for 2 sandwiches coming close to $20+ it was hugely disappointing. I also got the iced matcha con leche and it was so thick and the texture was offputting. No taste of matcha and when asked why it was so thick, they told me the vanilla and cinnamon powder made it thick. They were nice enough to switch out the drink for a normal latte I ordered, but it came hot. Considering I ordered an iced drink and they didn’t ask, I didn’t think I had to explicitly state iced again, but that’s my bad I guess. All in all, really wanted to like this place but with my order coming out to $30+ it was not a great experience.

I only had a cappuccino and it didn't taste great. I was underwhelmed. Hopefully the food tastes better. I also asked what kind of drink a cafecito is and the workers didn't know either which I found a bit weird

Nice place to stop for a quick coffee. The iced matcha latte with oat milk was good.

Yelp
The empanadas here are flaky, flavorful and taste homemade. I had a chicken empanada and then a spinach one. Both are tasty. A Rocoto sauce made with mayonnaise, red & black pepper and lemon juice added joy. Cafecito is a charming cozy cafe on Chrystie Street. With a few tables outdoors and counter seating inside, this is definitely a cafe one needs to frequent. Fior and Maricela are the two friendly and efficient young ladies who prepare the food and drinks. All the pastries come from Pain D'Avignon which is a fine bakery. I had planned on eating elsewhere but saw this cafe again and came here instead. Cafecito has been open four years and I hope they stay open for many more.

Yelp
Cute newish cafe in the neighborhood. Solid matcha latte and nice assortment of cold breakfast to go items like chia pudding.

Yelp
Pooped in for a coffee and was greeting by the cutest girlie behind the counter. I was quickly taken care of, and the coffee was delicious. For such a tiny space, they have managed to make it feel inviting enough to want to stay and sip. Also loved the empanada options (wish one was vegan) and the grab n go cooler.

Yelp
Solid coffee option if you're about to get on/off at grand station. The food menu looks great here as well! It's more of a grab and go vibe although they gave a handful of stools by the window. I ordered a hot cafe con leche and it was pretty good, maybe a tad too sweet for me. But still, in this area there arent a ton of coffee shops I love so I think its a great addition!

Yelp
Their coffee is really strong, fragrant, and really good. Highly recommended. The Matcha isn't bad either but I prefer having their coffee, you can smell it from a mile away. When they first took over the deli and were trying to turn the spot into a cafe, both myself and my colleagues were surprised. How were they going to make it work in such a tiny place? The renovations took a while but they did it! and it is pretty darn nice. The staff are fantastic people, very kind.

Yelp
Nice little coffee, espresso, & matcha shop right off the B/D Grand St & Chrystie subway stop. Small selection of drinks to order and bottled/canned offerings. A few pastries available. Several places to sit inside at the bar along the wall and at tables on the sidewalk. Helpful and kind servers.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop! I had the chocolate caliente - super yummy. They even have homemade almond milk. Reasonable prices and great service.

Yelp
great addition to the neighborhood! Friendly staff and excellent coffee! Food options are limited. But it's a great place to grab a quick sandwich and coffee.
