"Sax likes Cafenated Cafe in Berkeley, pointing out that the back patio is huge, like a deconstructed greenhouse. “During pandemic season one and two, anywhere with just interior was not an option,” Foulk says. “Studying and writing in addition to the nice coffee and on draft beer is great.”" - Paolo Bicchieri

This is my new favorite place in all of Berkeley. It’s Christmas Day and I’m enjoying a coffee in the gardens so immensely. It is truly artistically carefully designed and cared for. Everything is so beautiful I feel blissful simply being here.

Google
I checked out this cute coffee shop with a couple of friends. The vibe is great, and I really like the patio design, but the drinks and food are definitely overpriced. Tiramisu latte was super sweet 🙄

Google
This is not a reflection of the coffee but rather the service. There was a young white woman working the register and as soon as we walked up she seemed bothered and rolled her eyes as she told me the sizes they offer after I asked. It was also bizarre when she wouldn’t take the order from my partner who is a brown male and only seemed to look and respond to me. While we don’t know what her motives were, maybe she is just a rude person in general, we would encourage this location to properly train their staff on how to provide welcoming customer service regardless of the person’s gender and skin color, we walked away feeling very uncomfortable.

Google
Good cappuccino, but not great. Great space to work/study or meet friends. There is an open patio in the back and, I believe, you can reserve for large groups. The pastries looked good, although I did not have any.

Google
Nice little spot with a back patio. I went on a Sunday afternoon so it was pretty busy but we were able to find a spot to sit down inside. I ordered a matcha and the spicy chicken and waffles. I was prepared for the chicken to be a bit spicier. Overall, the food had good flavor and I had a lovely time here.

Google
Excellent food and coffee. Honest review: brunch board was really great, including popcorn fried chicken that was moist and delicious meat, beignets were great, waffles with crusted sugar added extra points and taste with fresh fruit, maple bacon lovely touch. We ordered scrambled eggs and salad on the side both of which were disappointing in comparison to brunch board as they lacked flavor and seasoning (eggs plain with no salt/flavor and could have been a bit richer, salad dressing was lite and minimal—they could take a cue from Cholita Linda’s dressing). Overall very satisfied! Strawberry cheesecake and tiramisu were very good, too.

Google
A terrific laptop friendly find. Went on a chilly Wednesday morning and had no problem finding a seat with an outlet. Wi-Fi reliability was okay; the Vietnamese coffee is delicious!

Google
barista got pissy and went on a whole spiel about me ordering an iced macchiato. how would she know if i've ever gone to a starbucks in the first place anyway? she should know not everyone take things so to heart and sometimes ppl just order whatever caught their eye. if it's that much of a problem and nuisance for you go off on your cashier, not me LOL; or go work at a high end cafe instead of a casual one. i assumed she was just having a bad day (or two) so i just let her go off. just a weirdo overall, won't come back.

Yelp
I have two favorite coffee shops in Berkeley and this is one of them! The aesthetic, vibes and space are all immaculate. The coffee and food is also really good, a little on the more expensive size but they always have great service and the energy! The outdoor seating is so beautiful, it feels like working in a garden. This place is great for a day to grind in Berkeley! Lots of outlets, seating and delicious drinks and pastries. Highly recommend :)

Mariah P.

Yelp
Beautiful space! If i could rate the vibes and space it would be a 5/5 stars, but sadly the beverages fall short, specifically any matcha drink. I ordered a matcha latte and it was insanely grainy. Not whisked at all and very evident that they did not care for the process of making a matcha latte. Decided to give them another chance with the strawberry matcha latte and still ran into similar problems. The strawberry compote was delicious but again the matcha was grainy. Really disappointing because their espresso based drinks are great. If they improve in their matcha drinks I would definitely give a higher rating.

Yelp
The place is beautiful and spacious! We wanted the outside seating but it was filled. The outside seating is full of greenery and has a lot of seats (but this place is too popular to find one lol). The indoor seating is spacious and the tables are spacious enough for studying for multiple people. The Vietnamese coffee tasted great. It was good and the presentation was cool with the coffee being in a beaker like cup. It was a bit different from a traditional Vietnamese coffee, but still good. The white mocha was great as well! The bagel was great too! Highly recommend. The bags

Yelp
One of my favorite coffee shops in Berkeley! This was my second time coming to Cafenated Coffee Co. and decided to try a new drink. I had a hot white mocha with oatmilk and it was really good. My boyfriend had a hot vanilla latte and he enjoyed his drink as well. We visited early on a Friday morning and it was quite packed inside. They also have plenty of outdoor seating in the back which would be nice on a warm day. Service was great and drinks came out pretty fast! Highly recommend if you're looking for a good coffee shop in Berkeley.

Yelp
GORGEOUS outdoor patio! Definitely a great place to have a cup of coffee and study while enjoying some fresh air and lovely greenery. However, brunch is not worth. Got the omelette and side of potatoes. Super bland and very expensive. The server in back patio was not very attentive and just friendly enough. Live music was great but not worth needing to pay over 20 dollars to sit at the patio. TLDR; skip weekend brunch, come during the week. Enjoy your coffee in the back patio.

Tara M.

Yelp
Came here for a post hike brunch and the food did not disappoint. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Salad and the flavor was incredible. The chicken was perfectly cooked and pared well with the fresh mixed greens. The Oatmilk Chai was incredibly flavorful, loved it. The people in my party liked their food as well. The service was slow, very slow. But honestly between the decor, the lovely patio setting, and good food, I still had a great time. I'm planning my next visit.

Christina L.

Yelp
Love love love that this place is in the area. The only drawback is that parking is metered, unless you go into the neighborhood. D R I N K Chai latte was perfectly spiced. Not too milky or sweet, just the way I like it. A M B I E N C E I hear there's a second location, but the outdoor patio can't be beat. There's a cute looking overhang and meant tables in an enclosed backyard. It's understandable that this place gets so packed. Outlets looked minimal outside, so that's probably what's keeping a constant flow of traffic/turnover for studying students. My friend and I just went to enjoy the ambiance and each other's company. *No outside food or drinks even though Cheeseboard is down the street. We definitely weren't the only ones who brought in a pizza box.

Blair P.

Yelp
Great coffee. Amazing staff. The outdoor space is full of cool plants, with a heated and covered area that's fab for special events in the evening which I just experienced. Lovely

Bree C.

Yelp
A veryyyy cute cafe, I definitely recommend visiting! Not too many options for food (and a bit pricey), but the taste and flavor make up for it. Service is super quick too The cafe has a really nice outdoor patio which I really liked as well. I highly recommend !

Joshua M.

Yelp
Service was very good here. The food was great just what I was hoping for at the moment. I look forward to coming back here and trying the coffee

Ashley J.

Yelp
Came here for Sunday brunch and had an amazing time! The outdoor patio of Cafenated is so cute and the perfect place for a cute brunch. I've yet to see another place in Berkeley like it. I ordered the salted caramel coffee and the avocado toast benedict. The salted caramel coffee was amazing although I wish I could taste the caramel a little more. The portion was also a little small for $6 :(. The avocado toast benedict was perfection! It even came with a side salad that had pickled onions on it.

Gisselle M.

Yelp
Came to this spot last Sunday and the ambience in there was such a vibe. We walked in and we ordered in the front because we didn't know that they have a back section and in the back they have the brunch spot that we were looking for. You can either order in the front when you walk in the back and order which I didn't know before hand. I got Matcha latte and my boyfriend got a regular latte. They were both very good. we also got a breakfast that had chicken and waffles and it was so delicious I got the platter which came with fruit and bacon. it also came with a crispy dessert on the side. Everything was a 10 out of 10. I would definitely come back again. Wait wasn't too long as well so I really enjoyed that especially for Sunday. We will definitely be ba

Yelp
I've always seen a line out the door. Today was my lucky day. Only 1 person in line yay. I ordered a house drip coffee. It was nice to finally find a place where the drip was hot but also delicious and not watered down tasting. The chocolate bun was warmed flaky and buttery delicious. The server at the register was patient and very nice. Lots of seating and a true coffee shop vibe. Can't wait to return for the "Toast". They serve breakfast and lunch items.

Brooke A.

Yelp
This is the perfect spot to sit for a few hours to people watch, enjoy some live music, study, catch up with friends, or do art. In my hourlong visit here, I saw patrons doing all of these things! The back garden is one of the most spectacular cafe settings I've been to. There are loads of trees and cute lighting. On the weekend some seating is committed to brunch visitors. There is ample seating, though it does get quite busy. The menu is extensive, with lots of specialty lattes and teas. The oat matcha was quite good, though it really was the setting that makes this place a 5 in my mind!

Christine W.

Yelp
Great coffee & solid spot to do work and catch up with friends! I love their patio at this location, which also have heaters running in the colder weather which brings me outdoors haha I am super picky about my coffee and I have to say they have a great roast and the barista dials in the espresso top tier, I don't think I've had a bad cup of coffee from here before!

Penelope S.

Yelp
Ambiance: 5 stars Crowd: 5 stars Pastries look great, didn't have any of them Cooked food: zero stars. Menu looks enticing, food is not real cooked food. My veg omlette was a disk of egg that had been cooked on both sides, then filled and folded. My friend's waffle was the worst she'd ever had, and the fried chicken to accompany said waffles seemed to be chicken nuggets which had once been frozen. They looked a little orange to me. I could go on, but my point is, great cafe overall, but don't try to eat food other than pastries there. I gave 4 stars because of the buzzy community hub feel which is lovely and much needed in that (and every!) hood.

Joc V.

Yelp
OK that Brunch Board has set the bar higher for every other brunch experience after this point. The candied bacon, chicken tenders and waffles were the perfect combination of sweet and savory. We also had the smoked salmon avocado toast and the caprese with fresh mozzarella and balsamic glaze--they were huge and very satisfying like tartines on steroids. The service is prompt and friendly. We chatted it up with the barista the last time we were here and they're trying to make this a night spot for drinks and snackies. Love that idea and will return when that happens.

Yelp
Come for the coffee, stay for the vibes! Great place near north side of campus to study or catch up with friends -- plenty of seating, decent coffee and food. The real treasure of Cafenated Coffee Company, however, is their gorgeous sunlit outdoor patio seating area. I grabbed a cold brew on my way to campus and was impressed with how busy it was, despite it being summer break. I want to say 90% of their outdoor and indoor seating was filled, so I'd recommend getting there a little early to grab seating, especially if you're in larger groups of 3+. My cold brew was okay. Not as strong as I would have liked, a little too acidic for my tastes, and was kinda pricey :( What was definitely intriguing though was their latte menu options. They have a bunch of cool latte flavors like Tiramisu latte??? I asked a barista and it comes with cocoa, syrup, and topped with whipped cream. Will def try next time! I didn't get the chance to try any of their food though, so I unfortunately can't comment on that. Ugh, their outdoor seating area is absolutely gorgeous!!! Drenched in light sunlight with plenty of greenery. I would have loved to stay out there forever. This outdoor patio area is something other cafes in the area definitely lack and what makes Cafenated Coffee Company so unique! I also can't hate -- their logo is adorable (I love cats, can you tell?) and they source their beans from women's coffee farm cooperatives!

Den Paul Aquino C.

Yelp
Cafenated Coffee has become my go-to spot for a delightful coffee experience! The latte I had was nothing short of perfection - rich, flavorful, and expertly crafted. The baristas here clearly know their coffee game. Beyond the stellar brew, I was equally impressed with the seating areas. Comfortable and thoughtfully arranged, they create an inviting atmosphere for both work and relaxation. It's evident that Cafenated Coffee values not only the quality of their drinks but also the overall ambiance for their patrons. Whether you're a coffee connoisseur or just looking for a cozy spot to unwind, Cafenated Coffee should be on your list. Can't wait to return for more latte goodness!

Sabrina B.

Yelp
If I lived in the area the employees here would know me by name. I was so impressed with the coffee on my first visit, I made us stop for another one on our way out of town! This would be a great place to hang out and get some work done. Lots of seating - some inside, some outside. Clean restrooms. Kind staff. Easy parking on the street or at a paid lot a block or so away. I opted for an iced vanilla latte with almond milk. Delicious. Not too sweet. Great tasting coffee on its own with a hint of vanilla. Also, the adorable logo of a caffeinated cat gained points with me too. =)

Tiffany H.

Yelp
The peaceful vibes here are great for taking a breather amidst a busy, chaotic life. The outdoor area is cute with sooo many different varieties of plants!! Nice spot to read or catch up with friends. I wouldn't say that this is a great spot to get work done, since there aren't outlets in the back patio area. I got the iced vanilla latte, and it was alright.

Yelp
05/25/2024 Earlier this morning we grabbed coffee from another local shop across from the hotel. Hubby came back to breakfast and our mochas were just warm. We weren't happy but drank it. After we left the hotel to meet the family, we found this cute coffee place off of Shattuck when we looked up local coffee roasters. The coffee line was short but the cafe in the back was busy. Our order took a few minutes but my Brownie Mocha came out piping hot and had a nice chocolatey taste to it. My daughter's cold Iced Tiramisu was creamy, sweet, and just as yummy! We grabbed a bag of beans for our cousin to pull when we get back home.

Mercy V.

Yelp
Really cute but not a dog friendly place. I was made to feel horrible for having a dog in the patio area. I had no idea. Hopefully they are nicer to people with service animals.

Katrina F.

Yelp
Intentionally came here to try out their outdoor greenhouse study space. Come with your electronics fully charged to start or begin your day inside to charge up your devices first. No outlets available outside. Worth the visit in itself!! Beautifully surrounded by so much greenery and fresh air. It definitely helps the focus factor in this study space. However, please be mindful if you're sensitive to sun or heat like I am, bring a jacket to shield yourself or find a more shady spot to sit as the sun moves outside and you lose light as the sun gets shaded by the clouds etc. plus, there is free WiFi so it's a great working space. I didn't see any pups but I wouldn't see why they wouldn't be allowed to the outdoor portion of the cafe. There is also sidewalk seating at the front of the cafe. The Oat Matcha Latte was amazing that my friend @Julee Y. got me. Beautifully executed in the latte foam design. Super potent flavored and full bodied. It was as if it was a freshly made ground coffee that's made in-house rather than simply stirring in a mix. I would reorder! Overall, I definitely will comeback to enjoy the ambiance at this cafe P! One thing to note: parking. Don't paid meter if you can help it. If you bring a friend, it'll help to watch your items, or ask a friendly cafetière. Less than a block from the cafe are residential parking spots where you need to move your vehicle every 2 hours. That's what I did for a full 8-hour study / job hunt day and it worked out perfectly.

James B.

Yelp
Great ambience, I love the outdoor seating area with garden around the edges! Will probably come back for that alone. Coffee is good.

EJ E.

Yelp
The most disappointing coffee experience. I was really debating on whether to make a review or not since its a small business. But, I'm so unhappy about my experience I have to. I asked for a plant based milk and they gave me normal milk so I felt sick afterwards and they messed up my coffee ordered in giving me something different too. It looked off but they called my name and I made sure to be like "its this ___ right?and for ____ right". They confirmed so. The coffee is way over priced and almost $10 for a small drink... $9 to be exact with a plant based milk. The place has customers there so it does get business but I'm so confused why. The staff were not friendly and or seemed to know anything about what they were selling when I asked. Just go somewhere else... so many other shops around.. this was my first time here and won't be back...

Hawk A.

Yelp
Cafenated Coffee Co is a charming spot in Berkeley with great vibes and a variety of seating options, both indoors and out. The interior is spacious, but be prepared for noise and crowds--it stays busy with a line to order! The staff was welcoming, especially the new barista who helped me; she was eager and kind when answering my questions despite it being her first day. I tried the iced vanilla latte, which was a bit too sweet for me, so next time I'll get half sweetness. The breakfast burrito, while good, could've used more flavor and texture. Minimal outlets, so come fully charged! Definitely check out the outdoor area!

Jaime C.

Yelp
Cute outside area. Food was delicious. I got the mushroom latte which was surprisingly sweet but still really good. The staff kept asking us if we needed anything, it felt like they were trying to rush us out. Lots of people there working on their laptops.

C Monique E.

Yelp
I was really excited to come here after seeing it on iG - mmmmmm I wouldn't rush back for the food what I had was hella sweet - I mean every item but one on the brunch board was sweet - I had to drink tons of water after - Outdoor space with the heaters were nice though and the chia was good!!

d v.

Yelp
When your drink is so beautiful that you are reticent to drink it, and you have to take a moment to reflect and give gratitude for the leaves and the sunshine and the earth before you that created this entire symphony, before you proceed to commence with your tirade of consumption.

Alexa A.

Yelp
Great spot for coffee or tea and respective cafe pastries :) I've tried their coffee cake, as well as their avocado toast, and both are mighty tasty. Their oat chai can get a little sweet (I haven't yet asked if I can get the sweetness reduced), but it comes out piping hot in a nice cup to enjoy either out on the sidewalk or in the back patio area. The back patio area of Cafenated Coffee is probably in my top 5 favourite patios in Berkeley, and I do not say this lightly! But you need to either a) get there early or b) be ready to swoop in on a spot in order to secure a seat. It fills up quick and stays full until closing. I haven't yet had a chance to explore more of their menu, but I'm excited to live so close by that I can!

Hanna L.

Yelp
Very much berkeley vibe - airy, vintage, plants, colorful The latte was pretty good, very nutty and slightly sweet finish. Cortado was a little bit too bitter, and probably the milk was not done properly. Open sandwich was very ordinary. I had salmon avocado and prosciutto with ricotta, both of which were okay but nothing special. I wish the bread was a bit more unique. There is a lot of outdoor seating, which is a plus.

Jennie A.

Yelp
Despite the pricy price point, I love this place. The chagaccino latte ($9 with oat milk), uses monk fruit and mushroom and is delicious! Has great deep coffee flavor and mushroom ice cubes which was super cute. The kouign amann was good, the strawberry made the center a bit mushy but the flavor was delicious. This cafe is always packed with people which is a great vibe. Def see a lot of folks studying or working either on the front patio or back terrace which was super cute.

Chetan L.

Yelp
A spacious and modern coffee spot with a great vibe and ample seating. I tried their almond latte, which was excellent--extra hot, just as requested. However, the matcha latte fell short--it was a tad powdery and lacked the smoothness I expected. Still, it's a fantastic place to work, people-watch, and enjoy your favorite brew.

William T.

Yelp
Service is fine. Very nice place to hang out. Outdoor covered area. Free WiFi. 1 star?? I ordered a latte. It was scaldingly hot. This is not the first time. What a cheap way for a self-professed coffee company to go down. The baristas need more training or oversight.

Kyra K.

Yelp
I definitely got caffeinated at Cafenated Coffee Company during my recent visit! One of my good friends was visiting for the holidays and wanted to catch up over coffee. A quick Yelp search in the area lead me to this gem of a coffee shop. As others stated in reviews, the patio is like a fairytale. Though my friend and I came during the winter, I can only imagine how beautiful it is to sip and chill here during warmer days. We came on a chilly weekday morning. As we walked in we were greeted by the barista at the register. The menu is displayed on the side where you order and pay, wait for your name to be called, and find a seat. After receiving our drinks with a smile we took them outside. Oh my goodness--we were blown away by the outdoor seating laid out aesthetically plants all around, spacious tables, and plenty of seats in a welcoming and opening ambiance. Their drink menu is simple and straightforward--your typical coffee and teas offered. Along with drinks they serve small hand-held bites for breakfast and lunch. Since I'm not the biggest coffee lover I opted for a Hot Matcha with Oat Milk. They only offered oat milk as the dairy alternatives and drinks came in one size. My friend chose a seasonal drink and ordered a Hot Gingerbread Latte with Oat Milk. The matcha was frothy, extremely earthy, and not sweet. The drinks were on the pricier end but nothing out of the ordinary. Service was efficient. The barista at the register seemed a little dazed by my questions but no worries as she got our orders correctly. Our drinks came out efficiently and we bussed our own dishes at the end. I had a brew-tiful experience at Cafenated Coffee Company with my friend. It was the perfect place for us to catch up over a warm beverage. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're looking for an aesthetic environment to work or hang out at. The cafe itself isn't hard to find as it's located right by Safeway off of Vine and Shattuck. Parking is residential or metered. I'd love to come back here with my friends in the future to sit, sip, and chill.

Yelp
Approximately 5,445 miles from here, I had my first smørrebrød. It was at Aamann's Etablissement in Copenhagen, and the authentic Danish open sandwich was quite a treat (photo: https://bit.ly/3FSW91M). I had not seen it stateside until I ambled into this popular cafe a bit closer to home. I wasn't excited about the $18 price tag, but hey, you get two open-faced sandwiches. What that actually meant was that you get two slices of sourdough bread much like a regular sandwich but separated into two. They had a choice of four different, appetizing combinations, and I chose the sweetest one - slices of yellow peach, whipped goat cheese, and basil with a wild drizzle of honey (photo: https://bit.ly/3GenI6Z). It was not a trip back to Tivoli but it was tasty. The vibe here was pretty chill even though tables were dominated by laptoppers who didn't look like they were going anywhere. The greenhouse-like back terrace was particularly nice. The rest of the menu looked pretty appetizing as well. Not only the other smørrebrød but also the BLTA, the 'On the Run' egg-stuffed brioche roll, and the Summer Vegetable Omelet. Daytime temptations abound. FOOD - 4 stars...it ain't Copenhagen but it'll do just fine AMBIANCE - 4 stars...relaxing spot with the back terrace a winner SERVICE - 4 stars...attentive TOTAL - 4 stars... smørrebrød for the rest of us RELATED - Exploring Berkeley? Here's a collection of places I've visited and reviewed: http://bit.ly/2CbVh8u

Yelp
One star because dogs aren't allowed. That's just my opinion. You have a whole outdoor seating area but don't allow dogs? Blasphemy. Also I had to repeat my order 5 times because the server wasn't listening.

Alice L.

Yelp
Ordered the matcha latte with oat milk & the salmon avocado benedict. Food was fresh, latte was a bit bland. As mentioned in other reviews, adding an almond milk option to the menu would be nice. From what I understand, weekend brunch menu changes. Overall, an average experience.

YooBin K.

Yelp
I have not ventured around Berkeley much, but I came to this gem of a cafe on a Saturday morning. They have magical seating outside. It's like a large greenhouse with the ends cut off, but the roof is still in tact. The moment you walk in, you can order at the counter. They sell pastries from Starter Bakery! Doubled baked(?) almond croissant, croissant, kouign amman. They also seem to have brunch items, proper meals you can order too. I ordered an oat chai latte and an oat latte with honey for my friend. We found a seat outside and got settled. The tables were all mismatched, it gave the shop a nice pop of color. There were also all types of folks, on dates, catching up with friends, people who seemingly came after cycling. Just has a warm energy to it, serving as a hub for people to come and gather. I hope to come back again to enjoy the beautiful space again.

Lisa S.

Yelp
Really cute and aesthetic cafe! I was intrigued by their adorable cat logo and thought it was a cat cafe, but it's just a normal coffee shop (a good thing bc I don't like cats lol). On first impression, I really felt like the vibe was welcoming and warm. I'm pretty picky with nice coffee shops, so I felt like this was a super cute one. I ordered my typical go to, a matcha latte with oat milk, extra hot. My friend got a latte and almond croissant that looked pretty delicious. Matcha latte (4.5/5) : Smooth creamy, and non sweet as I like it. It was also extra hot to my liking. Only thing is that I would've preferred a nice latte art but totally okay without it haha

Glenda N.

Yelp
Great coffee shop for coffee dates or working! Stopped in to meet a friend and grabbed a latte with almond milk and butter croissant (~$11 total). I watched the barista use oat milk instead of almond when she made my order, but I didn't mind since it was a non-dairy milk. Coffee still tasted great! It looks like they get their pastries from another local shop Starter Bakery, so that's awesome they support local as well. They do have food/sandwiches, which looked yummy (seeing the food on other tables), so will have to try it another time. Ambiance is really modern and cute. Half of the people there were on laptops and they have free Wi-Fi so seems like a great place to get some studying or work done. The back/outdoor area is super spacious; lots of tables chairs and even a small fire pit. Would definitely recommend stopping here!

Manya Z.

Yelp
Everything here is on the pricier side, especially considering the food/drinks are good but not that impressive, but the ambience is super cute. I come here occasionally to study or read, and the outdoor area is really nice. There aren't a lot of outlets or indoor seating space though, so it can be hard to study here for long. - salmon avocado toast (4.5/5) - tasted great and this is a good problem to have, I guess, but only complaint is that there was too much avocado to bread. - matcha latte (4/5) - standard matcha latte, nothing too special, but didn't come out piping hot for some reason, hence the 4/5 - cafe au lait (3/5) - not pictured. I enjoyed the milk foam, and I get that these are meant to be not as strong as lattes, but tasted like there was essentially no coffee in it

Yelp
As a UC Berkeley student, sometimes I get tired of the cafes around campus and want to try a new place. Thus, on a weekend where I had more free time, I decided to try this place which had been recommended to me by 2 different people. In particular, I was looking forward to their spacious patio seating. However, I chose a bad day as it had rained the night before, and most of the seating was still wet. That didn't stop patrons, however, and the seats were all taken. Thus, I resolved to sit indoors at a large shared table with my iced vanilla latte, the standard drink I get at almost every cafe. Unfortunately, the latte was super sweet, and I had to ask the barista to remake it. However, there must've been some mix-up as I waited a while for my remade drink, finally deciding to check in, where the barista then told me it was already made and someone must've taken it. Thus, my drink was made the third time and as the saying goes, the third time's the charm. I also opted for a breakfast platter of some sort which included crispy potatoes, avocados, eggs, and I added toast, and I found it to taste just alright. The potatoes were lightly crispy and seasoned well, but there was nothing about the dish that stood out. Overall, I would return if I were in the area and really needed coffee, but probably wouldn't go out of my way.

Yelp
I went to this cafe this morning looking forward to getting a drink here. I had visited the one on college and the staff was very friendly, so I expected the same treatment and welcoming experience here. Unfortunately the experience my sister and I experienced was very rude. We had just walked in , not greeted, and was instantly rushed to order. There was no line, so I didn't understand the rush. I asked for a Vietnamese coffee ... but warm since it was a cold morning. He said that it was a canned drink and that if I wanted it hot it would be regular coffee with condensed milk and that's not what I wanted. So I started to look back and the menu and before I get a good look he snaps "if you want something super sweet look at this menu" and I was like "umm I don't want something super sweet, just slightly" and he goes "well Vietnamese coffee is really sweet" ... idk if you'd ever had authentic Vietnamese coffee but it tends to be on the darker side with a slight sweetness from the milk. Also why are you going back and forth with me and rushing me ? His tone was extremely rude and with hints of prejudice and I was extremely disappointed in my experience there. Unfortunately I didn't get his name ... but me and my sister decided to leave and not patronize this business. I will not ever be going back here ... and probably not to the one on college either. I highly recommend NOT GOING HERE, especially if you are a person of color. Smh

Yelp
They do not care about your business. I got kicked out for having Sealed food in a bag I was saving for later. Keep in mind, I was ordering food and coffee from them too. The coffee is also terrible, there's so many better places you can go to for coffee. Don't waste your time here. Absolutely unsanitary as well. Flies around tables, saw a cockroach run around once, I wouldn't be surprised if they got a health inspection failure very soon... P.S: This is their Elmwood location.

Yelp
This is an adorable cafe located on a random side street. // C O F F E E I got the cold brew and it was amazing! The coffee was smooth without any bitter notes and it still had great flavor. Sometimes, cold brews are so smooth that you can barely taste the coffee anymore, but that was NOT the case here. This would be a great drink to get, especially as the weather starts to heat up. I would definitely want to come back to try their other drinks. Note: They also have siphon coffee here. It's not written on the menu so ask the barista if you would like to try it! // A M B I A N C E This cafe has a decently large amount of space, great lighting, and minimalistic furnishing. It would be a great spot for hanging out, studying, or doing work.

Yelp
We were in the neighborhood and one of the store recommended this place. Super clean coffee shop, I absolutely enjoyed my coffee. Shared with the kids and they loved it as well. Very friendly staff. The best coffee in town and even better than blue bottle

Yelp
I can't stand it when I order a cappuccino but get a milky latte. Do love this place though. Great vibe.
