Today was a coffee day. There is little strip center at Wilcrest and Westheimer that YOU NEED TO CHECK OUT.
First, there is a Daiso Japanese dry goods store here, a total trip!
Next, Avesta Iranian, one of the finer restaurants for Persian cuisine.
Then , there is a Korean chicken place, an Indian restaurant (Desi District), a bike place, a cat hospital, nd one of those delivery by conveyor sushi places. Totally cool.
But today, was a visit to the absolutely delightful specialty Colombian coffee shop called Cafe Tales or Cafetales...you choose.
I chose the option of one gesha coffee but extracted by three different methods. In order to compare the methods keeping all other variables the same. They also offer an option of three coffees but all three extracted by the same method. Compare and contrast. Awesome.
And I learned about the vandola, a Costa Rican coffee maker that one can use Kalita flat bed filters with, V60 conicals. I WANT ONE.
And I came up with a fake band idea, a Costa Rican girl group called Marta and the Vandolas, singing their hit single. Bailando en las Calles.
When I next return to Puebla, I'm going to contact the Talavera family that I know there and ask them to form one for me in the colors of Puebla Talavera .
